  1. ^^With all due respect, you dont know what you are talking about! Baaluqe ismood wiil hadduu, buuryo-goys yahaye Bisqinbaa nin weyn kugu dirtoon, biidna kuu tarine Shansho iyo baruuriyo hadduu, badhi wan weyn yeesho Baraar habartii loog kama baxshoo, gowrac kama baajo
  2. Ibti, Caddeey, why don’t you calm down a bit and read what people write? Midda kale there is a difference between Northern folks, a large community in SL region, and secessionists, group of ideologue who passionately believe that SL benefits from dismemberment of Somalia. Even so I took back my sweep brush of all secessionists stances toward the south. North, be patient adeer.
  3. Xoogga, alshabaab will continue to do what they have to do. But to cite Zenawi's tough talk as a reason for somalis not talk to each other is a bit curious to me adeer. Zenawi would certaintly love for these talks to fail. Others in some circles may help him unwittingly of course to achieve that goal...which is sad really.
  4. ^^LOL@have you just recognized SL! Recognition from stud Che of SOL, I reckon, would definitely not harm your case yaa Ayoub
  5. This poet is utterly ill informed, if not ignorant, about the political realities and dimensions of Somali conflict. I also found a bit malicious and mean to suggest that Shariif is in the current negotiations for worldly rewards. And there, beneath the counsel he so didactically offers to Sh. Shariif, lies a profoundly misguided sense of nationalism this poet exhibits. On one a hand he seems to be aiming at noble objectives in his call for these negotiations to halt. On the other, he suggests no alternatives other than the tired line of argument that says: let us continue fighting Ethiopians and her allies until we liberate Somalia. And that line of argument, sadly, ignores the root cause of Ethiopia’s triumph in Somali affairs and refuses to reason as to why Somalis failed to recover from the civil war. Shariif is leading in the face of many adversities. Defamers, a group which this poet is inching ever closer to be member of, will inevitably try to slander him! But Sharifs' integrity, especially as long as he is in the affairs of exacting sulxu to revive his fallen nation, is hardly impeachable… Allow waayo noo daa.

  9. I think Jacayl’s love letter is composed for a nomad girl consumption. The vocabulary is very rich and only goat herder would understand it. Below is a wadaad style love letter. It’s very short, concise and to the point. ================================================= Ku: Walaashaydii Islamka Ceebla-cad Ka: Walaalkaagi Islamka Xiinfaniin. Assalamu Calaykum Ceeblay. Kheyr badan baan kuu rajeynayyaa. Warkaaga iisoo gaaray. Inkastoo aanan ku arag, haddana aad baan kuu rabaa. Kittaabka Riyaalu-saalixiinkaan aan soo xasuustaa markaad maskaxday kusoo dhacdaba. Allaah ha isku kaaya barakeeyo. Aayad qur'aan ah oo soconaysaa aa tahay mar haddaad xijaabantahay. Illaahay khaatimada ha kugu sugo. Axaadiis badan baa kusoo aroortay fadliga guurka, waanan hubaa inaadan xoolo yaraan igu diidayn. Raggaygaan ku jiraa, laakiin inaadan muuqaal wax ku qiimaynaynin iyyana waa hubaa. Waan kula soo xiriirayyaa. Aniga waa iga go'aan ee adna reerka usii sheeg, aabanna igu salaam. Wa biLlaahi tawfiiq. Walaalkaa Xiinfaniin.
  10. ^^ مصائب قوم عند قوم فؤائد . Adversity of a one man may be a gift for another … ps--why would you start a thread to celebrate a division?
  11. ^^You are a secessionist ! Oops! Sorry, Northern! But dont you support Somaliland's aspiration to secede from Somalia? Isn't that called secessionism . ? But all of those things dont matter, so lets og back to your protest about how certain nomads characterized you in this thread. You didn’t just ask a question yaa N. Lest you forgot, good Northern, you asserted that ‘Nothing has come about, none of the main players were present’ ! Granted it was little presumptuous of me to imply all secessionists are impaired to see the good things when those good things occur outside of SL parameter. But you did show some hastiness in your denial of the significance of what I consider to be a very momentous event that just got wrapped up in Jabbuuti. Believe me adeer this, the Jabbuuti conference, is a game-changer in many ways. If these talks succeed in bringing about a timetable withdrawal agreement between the both sides, it will have a huge ramification on the political stability and transitioning of the country. There are people who really miss the point in Somali conflict and Ethiopia’s involvement. I have never counted you amongst those. I thought you were well aware of Ethiopia’s involvement is directly proportional to the level of division between Somalis. What these talks are helping to do is to prove that Somalis despite their fundamental disagreements can sit down and talk to each other. Ethiopia is not an empire. It’s a poor, weak African country that has a very shaky foundation in terms of her ethnic composition and political volatility. Her withdrawal will depend on Somalis. If Somalis agree to come together and save their country, Ethiopia will have no choice but to depart from Somalia. If however Somalis continue repeating the useless slogans like ‘Ethiopian occupation must end before we can talk to each other’ and like, then Ethiopia stands to prevail and continue her policy of medaling. It’s very elementary really. This is not about wrong or right. It’s about having a vision that transcends today’s anger and sentiments. Ask Siilaanyo for he knows one or two things about what I am talking about…
  12. somalipride, do you think Cadde will debate with the PL presidential hopefuls ? A peaceful transfer of PL administration from Cadde to whoever the next administrator may be is contingent upon the outcome of the conflict in the south. Anyone who dreams otherwise is just…dreaming in my opinion.
  13. Originally posted by Northerner: Nothing has come about, none of the main players were present,,,,,, Originally posted by J.a.c.a.y.l.b.a.r.o : Ruwaayad baa la isu dhigayay dee ,,, Our secessionist brothers, like Northern and Jacaylka, have a defect (a destitute sense of recognizing good things when they happen outside of their parameter) for seeing any progress in Somalia proper? This deprivation---note it’s not natural--will be overcome in due time IA. So yes, a great progress have been accomplished in Jabbuuti, and we are grateful for Ina Geelle’s effort toward peace and stability in Somalia through dialogue. In case you did not bother to read the outcome of Jabbuuti meeting, here’s a recap adeer. 1- both parties agreed that the Somali conflict shall be resolved through dialogue, and not through violence (the country had its share of violence for two decades) 2- International players shall come up a political arrangement that’s palatable for both sides to effectively repair Somali sovereignty (this includes among other things complete withdrawal of Ethiopian troops) 3- to build on the momentum achieved in Jabbuuti, a follow-up meeting shall be convened no later than May 31, 2008. The sheer fact that both sides come together and agreed on some thing is a progress for most Somalis adeer. And if things continue on this positive track, and we can only pray things continue on this track, then there is a distinct possibility that Somalis will begin to resolve their divisions and consequently revive their nation. But again it’s not a secret at all that some secessionists have a puzzling dichotomy as it regards to the final outcome of Somali conflict. Or is it?
  14. ^^Cadde, being the political puppet he obviously is, may be representing Yey’s tfg in his meetings with Geelle of Jabbuuti! The other thing is opposition groups may find politically expedient to meet with Cadde than a portfolio holding official from the tfg… Aside from Cadde’s apparent incompetence, I think him serving in that capacity is not bad at all.
  15. ^^I don’t know his other topics but this one was quite provocative yaa Serenity!
  16. ^ I am begining to like you Marc! One last question: do you speak Somali?

  19. ^^I think you are! edit: where is Che today?
  20. Marc, are you related to Che ? Please answer the q. I will explain latter why I asked!
  21. Calm is my middle name adeer! Good to know that your interjection was not meant to cover up Marc’s incoherencies. I didn’t get the ‘victor & spoils’ thing in your second paragraph though! As far as I am concern, and despite false claims of victory in Secessionist circles, the fundamentals of Somali conflict remain unchanged. In the big scheme of things no particular group has succeeded advancing their political objectives. And in the case of Somaliland, (and contrary to what the diehards may want you to believe), she might have met her political Waterloo in the shift of alliances in SOOL. Quite Ironic eh!

For him and from his point of view, this is an acceptable solution. Of course it's not practical and is hardly going to work (not unless there is a strong economic reason for such a migration). ^^That’s a poor defense NGONGE! Besides, the man has already cared what I thought about his point of view adeer. Perhaps you did not bother to read. A more disturbing thing is your attempt to dismiss his suggestion on the basis of practicality! What about if it was logistically practical and politically feasible for SL polity to undertake such a policy yaa N?
  23. ^^ Before you get mad at the glary here, you must understand Cadde’s position in Somali politics. Cadde is nothing more than a placeholder for the old man (Yey). Perhaps he purposefully orchestrated that perception to take hold to deflect public anger at his performance. Or perhaps that is sadly the true nature of his political position. But either way, for those who are in the know of Somali politics fully realize that to be the relationship.
  24. Marc, don’t fight the warlord tag. It’s too late to do so. It already stuck on you adeer. What you need to do instead is to argue that your brand of warlordism is totally different than what most people might have perceived about warlordism. You have shown great capacity to present your point of view in a persuasive fashion, and I have no doubt that you will succeed to influence on some solers with that claim. There is no warlord who has the ability to put out YouTube clips to advance his take of things, to just point out one of many of your unique skills. No warlord except you that is. Halkaa kasii wad adeer..
