^^Decimating a turkey sandwich wouldn’t get him to the manly club tho! When the contest is about decimating sandwichs, and not about slaughtering camels, every one has a fighting chance...

This is a good news. -
It's a manly exercise. Of course the religiosity of it is the soul of this whole thing. JB, have you ever witnessed how camels are slaughtered ala Somali style? You would’ve appreciated the art of killing…

Barack Hussein Obama wins Iowa (97% Whites)
xiinfaniin replied to Libaax-Sankataabte's topic in General
It was a well crafted and masterpiece speech... Just like the somali poet, Obama seems to have said last night: Gobonimo haddii loo tartamo tiigso ma iraahdo Hayeeshee haddii loo tirsado meel xun ma istaago Warmahayga inaan dhiig ka tiro uma tumaalaysan Hayeeshee nimaan ii turayn taagtay kama iisho . Ku dur duri, i say! -

Kismayu: Abdirizaq Taano placed in prison by Jabiso.
xiinfaniin replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
following groups captured Kismayo. 1- men loyal to jabhal islamiyah (another way of saying Ictisaam. Armed Ictisaam men in the south are called 'jabiso') These men comrpise (those who were stationed in Caanaale and Kudhaa + Those who were stationed in Afmadow (abu Zeynab's men) + some from shabeelooyinka) 2- alshabaab, they were few in numbers but had the courage to start the fight in coloboration with men in the city who were close to Barre clan wise) ---since the capture of Kismayo, all the clans accepted to be under the rulers. There's a limited resistance from Barre clan in the city. But inshaa Allaah even them will come onboard and embrace the new changes. --Obstacles include, alshabaab's media pronouncements but efforts to convince them accept local admin are underway. -the real trick is how sanction the marriage of having a local admin that's loyal to these groups, and indepedent of the tfg and its allies. --One thing that should not happened is to invite Ethiopian troops to the city by making ****** prounencements aan rag kaa dhicinayn waxaad haysatanna ku dhaafinayyaa. peace will prevail in shaa Allah. -
lol@the loss of Ibti to AT&T. Ibti's selection criteria rejects both men. Be care full there though. Ibti, since her last trip to Burco, has been honing her buraanbur skills...yeeysan kuu buraanburin.

Congrats yaa Ibti. Sounds great research. NG, on the basis of fiqhil rexim, Ibti's markhati on your behalf is not permissable. Where is he anyway? Mise raacati alkahrabaa min/can beytihi ?

lol@Ibti. Do tell us then. El Haj NG, AT & T has taken the verses of Miles Stones to the heart. There is a reason why the man has not posted x-rated stuffs. He has seen the light. I Just wanted to let him know that I am not part of the modern jahiliyah…

Ibti's thesis: Somaliland; the price of being alone!

Salaam Ikhyaarta. Qaylo kama yeerin. Where's AT & T?

Apparently this Ugandan dude took advantage of Nino’s situation. That she went public with it does not make her gain any favor from most of us. But put in the larger context of Somali civil war and what has transpired in our land, Nino’s story is just a mere dot in our tragedy. That’s that. But why are we parading this poor soul in different threads anyway? I understand the original poster who posted in the politics section wanted to make a point with it. But in the general section….it just escapes me!

^^I already did execuse most of them folks! adaan kuu duurxulayey adeer.

Our crisis of leadership is real and lamentable. But to lump all of today’s political characters on the stage together is quite unfair. Equally unwarranted is the notion of giving up on certain promising leaders simply because they didn’t deliver the solution we all need and desire on a fictitious timelines that does not take into account the overwhelming challenges anyone, however well-meaning and sincere, who wants to change things in Somalia faces. So if good Che is aiming to manufacture brand new leaders, power to him I say and wish him all the luck. Ibti—I don’t have a crystal ball. All I know is that what have started in Jabbuuti is a progress toward political compromise. The deal is not even officially signed yet adeer so you shouldn’t expect concrete results before all the relevant factions sign and commit to it. And even then I wouldn’t predict a smooth implementation given the nature of our conflict and the current security situation. Dakhtar Geelle-- you should not take my support of the good Shariif’s initiatives for peaceful settlement as a blind following of the man. I am capable of calling things what they are. To put it simply, I was advocating for this approach (and Baashi was well before me I must say) before the good Sheekh embraced it. So meelaan wax jirin baad ka raadinaysaa adeer. I belong no cult.
-
Ibtiyey, I don’t take your protest against Jabbuuti approach or the men that come to London to advance it as defending the current status quo. I rather see it as a legitimate concern about the quality of leadership we are left to choose today as Somalis. But it’s really missing the point, is it not, to concentrate on or base your objections on the presentational style rather than the substance of the deal and what it aims to address. The chief wisdom of Jabbuuti initiative is the acknowledgement of the nature of Somali conflict. What keeps our tragedy to die down and go away is us, Somalis. If we talk to each other and compromise to each other, we can clean, if follows to reason, and sanitize xabashi moles from the walls of our residence (for the decorum of diplomacy, these objectives are termed preserving Somalia’s sovereignty and political independency. We can indeed rehash and strengthen our unity (again the name of this song is called, preserving Somalia’s territorial integrity). If the UN can facilitative that eng goal, we have no good reason to refuse the offer. In fact, as things stand today, it seems that we don’t have many options on the table. Just like the Proteus, the character in the Greek mythology, some Somalis seem to believe that they can evade the traps of the current world order. And that’s the real naivety… Adiga in shariifka lagula hadalsiiyo waaye...wax badan baad tari lahayd .
