When seeking maslaxa qofwalbaa lala fariista, Bishaaro. What we are trying here is to find out if DQ is man enough to 1) accept the gogol, 2) drop the caano boore thing, and 3) and, most importantly, apologize for what I thought was particularly low dig in the other thread!
-
^^It resembles the somali traditional dirin. substance over style!
-
lol@jini & jaanoo dhan. Bishaaro, gogoshu waa maxkamad. Ducaysane, horta garta wax ka naq ninyahow. But the verdict must not precede the commencement of the court arraignment . Che is disqualified!
-
This is not culumadda kala qabta thing! This is real effort to bring peace caravan to SOL, in a small but symbolic way. DQ supports Jabbuuti effort, and I respect him for that. Aw Tusbaxle opposes Jabbuuti approach, but he is a friend of mine! Aniga iyo asaga waayadaan waxba iskugu kaaya jira! So I have a interest in extinguishing this little squabble between these two men! Gartu Allaah bay taqaanaayye, DQ must drop this caano boore thing he is so fond of! And as soon as we get that concession, we shall make progress in putting in place some confidence building measures such as taking these two men to a virtual shaah session! But even that concession is not a preconditoin for this dirin. NO preconditions. We are gonna talk this out, and settle this thing in a civilized manner. Gogoshu gurigayga taallaa, laakiin qofkii garta naqi lahaa baan u baahannahay!

^^DQ, it’s quite obvious (it really is) that your repeated references of ‘caano boore’ has thinly veiled clannish connotation. Please drop it! Aw Tusbaxle, if DQ wants to slander OG folks with his ‘caano boore’ reference, it won’t work. It just does not stick adeer. Ali Dhux, a phenomenal poet, employed same exact tactics before, and, as history recorded, failed miserably. And that was, to refresh your memory, when he threw the clannish kitchen-sink to Sayid Mohamed. Ubba weesta waa kugu arkaa iyo agab salaadeede Hadduu uurka kaaga jiro wardigu kaama orodneene Abtiyaalada iyo ku nece ururkii reer kheyre Abtirsiinyadaa waxay gashaa eyda reer Xamare This was, just like DQ’s ‘caano boore’, a lame pitch whose embarrassment Ali Dhux never recovered! Look though how the Master responded: OG haddaan ahay dad waa amar sarreeyyaaye Oo ubax baarkaan ahiyoo awrta haashima’e Abtiyaaladay waxay galaan odayya waaweyne Halkaan uga arooraanna waa odaga D* Ibrahim Rashid aabahay odogi weeyaane’e Rasuulkii udgoonnaana waa ina adeerkay’e Asaxaabihii oo dhan baan ehel wadaagnaayye Aakhiro albaabada jannaan agabsanaayaaye Nin amxaara mooyyee intii edeg adduun joogtaa Islaamkeedu wuxuu ii yaqaan ehelu kherykiiyye Adiguse abbaanow waxaa uruyya soo maahid Soo kii Ilaahay necee eyga qalay maahid

Peace Caravan v1.1: The coming of the Somali Republic!
xiinfaniin replied to xiinfaniin's topic in Politics
Xiin, equipped with powerful Jabbuuti talking points, engages good Horn, who is sadly still doing what he does best, dwell in doubt and tuhun ! Horn, the real and meaningful struggle, I believe, is the one aimed at restoring the Somali state. Sharif has been leading that effort. Others have joined since then, and more will join it in the future. A court here and there, however fashionable today, will not solve the Somali conflict. And quite frankly if that’s what you mean by resistance, it does not appeal to me. There was a time when Islamic Courts had the potential to bring about a fundamental change to Somali politics. Sadly that seems unfeasible today. Lets cut to the chase bro: ciil iyo caro waa meeshooda, but it’s not equal to you to support endless wars waged in the middle of your maato! Ethiopia, and you know this Horn, has neither capacity nor the stamina to occupy Somalia. The token victory she so far achieved was in many ways made possible by our divisions and internal political/clannish squabbles! One must be equal to the challenge right before his nose, if one truly wants to fend off his regional nemesis. And what that means is we must see, yaa Horn, beyond civil war wounds. We are all wounded and limping. Get Ethiopia out by any means, but put the divisionska qabyaaladda iyo religious ghulluwi ku dhisan. Look who’s suffering today! It’s you, the Somali people. Ceelwaaq baa maxkamad laga dhisay baad lasoo shirtegeysaa adeer! Forgetting of course that erecting makeshift courts does not equal governance. Without addressing the Somali conflict in a holistic manner, hadba meel bay ka dillaacaysaa adeer. The civil war is centered in the south today! Tomorrow however it could brake out in the East and North. Some may indeed pray for that. But the fact remains that as long Somalis are busy killing each other, Ethiopia or Kenya for that matter stands to prevail. Adeer you cant build nations on the cheap! It requires more than compromise and political concession. The real lit-mutest should be not whether one supports resistance. It should rather be whether one sees the value of settling this tragedy in a peaceful way. Is it possible? What are the prices and sacrifices? And more importantly what is the opportunity cost? We will address those questions in a separate post! There will be a time when war is the only option on the table. But that time is not now. War is not the only option on the table. As Sharif is trying to do, we can strategize this thing and talk it out. Look at good Hamza, a brother whom I am sure has the best of intentions but observably is knee deep in the politics of vengeance and retribution. For him in nimankan (tfg) wax lagu darsadaa way shay xaraam ah! He wants to defeat them. But in the process of defeating them, he forgets, he is defeating himself. How so? Because a ceaseless war in Somali lands is Ethiopia’s interest. I have not addressed the glaring inadequacies and lack of political maturity displayed by the fighting youth. I need not to repeat the known incompetence and sheer ********* that has become the trademark of the current tfg. But as late Gacaliye once said, Xareedaan cirka ka imaan, dhulka laga cabbo! Xal aan Somali dhexdeeda ka immaan, nabad horseedi mayo! You see, good Horn, we can all go back to our nomadic ways, praise our choice she-camels, and wax celebratory lyrics marka kurayyadeennu kurayyada reer hebel ka adkaadaan. We could sail out primitive boats and buy timir and sokor from Cadan! Unfortunately modernity and the nature of today’s globalization has denied that relatively luxury lifestyle and we are forced to interact, whether we like or not, with the rest of the world---both hostile and friendly. We must play ball adeer. Ours, to steal gaalka gabaygiisii, is not to do and die! It’s to reason why! It does not matter if the venue is Jabbuuti. What matters is to talk this one out. Gacantii ninki lihi goynayyaa waa gumudantaayye Nin walaalki geed ugu jiraa geesi noqon waayye There you have today's points! Tommmorow, we will IA undress Aw Tusbaxle's hala-kala-adkaado proposition! -
Walle meesha waa layku haybsaday !

^^Aw Tusbaxle, Ilaahow ku daa!

Office Politics - Sign my card for my Birthday, my cat's death,...
xiinfaniin replied to Khayr's topic in General
^^Poor reasoning there yaa Kheyr! From purely an Islamic perspective, birthday celebrations represent something that neither saxaabah nor the prophet had done. The most important figure in our religion is Muhammad (Swc), and safe from some fringe circles, his birthday is not celebrated. His companion did not celebrate it. Birthday parties are unarguably a western in origin, and style, with a religious cent! At best it’s unconstructive introduction to the Muslim world. If you however celebrate birthday parties of important figures like the prophet on the basis of personal greatness or significance like brother Kheyr seems to be subscribing to, then objections against it is quite weak. On the questoin of office politics, it’s easy really. Explain your position on the matter to your fellow coworkers in a respectable manner. Remember that what you percieve office politics may not be so! -

Peace Caravan v1.1: The coming of the Somali Republic!
xiinfaniin replied to xiinfaniin's topic in Politics
Gediid, If it is the length of the peace process that you are truly concern with, you are not asking much. How long this caravan has been traveling, good Gediid, amounts to mere nanoseconds when compared with how long we have been living in the miseries of civil war. I wouldn’t be asking much from you, if I say bear with us awoowe! -
This is a quest for coming up valid talking points in support of sitting with the devil as it were to secure a fighting chance for another day. Out is the notion of preserving clan majesty or nursing the wounded ego of some folks. To preserve the existence of Somali people and their role in the region is the goal. The means of course is the restoration of the republic--- a minimal restoration. We’ll discuss about the profits of political compromise, fringe profits at times, even when the short sacrifices hurt the perceived pride and imagined dignity of one side of the equation. We will draw the curtain on the already receding notion of hala-kala-adkaado! In the same token we will offer some essential clothes and cover our friend Aw Tusbaxle’s shame in uttering such a regressive slogans. And akhiiran, we'll show that beyond cease-fires and Ethiopian troop withdrawal lies the real hard work of stitching together what has become a very loosely-coupled state. Coming soon, waa haddii waqti loo helee! Toosi luquntaada, dont miss the Caravan, it may stop at a tuulo near you

^^loooooooooool No you got that wrong bro. Since this is a election nomination thread, I stand by with my nomination of Kashafa as a defense minister. Especially if Cara wins this election.
-
^^Waxna! Gardarro igu maagay! Laakiin waan iska celin !
-
Hoggaanka sida laysku raacaan u daynayyaa Kashafa = waziiru difaac. Laakiin waa in daawo miyirkiisa dajisa loo qoraa. Somalia kama maaranto Kashafa.

Malika, Cabdiyo, and Ms DD waa idin salaamay. Waayadaan dagaal baan ku jiraa oo ninbuu igu mirqaamay as good Haneefa put it!
-
^^ I appriciate the guubaabo gacalka ! Waayadaanba isku rag baan ahayn! You remind me when the Master himself said waa qaran maxaa loo lahaa qolada liibaana! laakiin remember i said waxaan damcay inaan iraahdo, that does not mean i said it yet. Marka Jacaylow ninka ha shiddeyn, waad ogtahay that he is akin to Badha olosha! And as you know Geele of Hawd had given us the specs of Badha olosha: Badha olosha waa loo godlaa waase baaqimo e Boodada horeetta danbeed biririf leeyaaye Baqal kuma hargalo meel sanguhu maray bariistiiye Bal ogaada (dont force me to complete baytkaa ninyahow)

Theiry, your noble pulses and nice sentiments are noble! edit: Truth is that when peaceful settlement is attained, and a complete withdrawal of Ethiopian forces is achieved, majority of alshabaab fighters will join the Somali forces. Those who dwell in a non-existent, idealized world of perfect symmetry between politics and religion will in the end have to adjust (not give up on their ideals and drive to achieve the better and promised state) and strategize accordingly. The fundamental truth of Somali conflict is that it’s tribal in nature, not religious. And when that rude truth intrudes, those who are asking the scalps of the perpetrators of civil war crimes would insha Allah realize the irony of their war efforts!
-
Mar haddaad aragtid Kashafa maciinsaday Micheal & John waxay qoreen, waxay caddayn u tahay that the man is ripe for in peace caravanku ride siiyaan! Waa in Che kurisaga laga kiciyyaa si Kashafa u fariisto. And that would leave Aw Tusbaxle to be the only odd man in the larger somali discussion. The notion of hala-kala-adkaado eey ay cunay!
-
^^Yaad u danleedahay saaka DD yey ?

lol@dhiig baran-baro Horta saaka oo subax talaada ah si baan u dhiiranahay. Markii hore waxaan damcay inaan iraahdo: Abtigiis hadduu geesi yahay gabdhaha uma guduuteenne Sidii awrka geelaa dhebida uma garraaceene Geeraar intuu mariyyo Cabdiyyo uma guhaadeene Gabayada gefkaa intaa gabdhaha lama u goobteenne Markaan halkaas marinayyo baan Xaneefa arkay. It's the arrival of our sheekhah waxa gabayga iga joojiyey. Aw Tusbaxle, saaka waa subax Talaadah, gabay baa i hayya ee isoo bax. Xattaa Nune iyo NG soo kaxayso (where is NG these days btw). Waad ogtahay oo unlike you, Gabaygu waa igu soo degaa...

lool@Ceesaamaha Belo! I am tempted inaan afarrey kugu tuuro, laakin given the slanderous nature of your remarks (kolba gabay maaha wuxuyye), any response to address it would require certain mud-throwing. And that would be not only ineffective, but also inappropriate. Besides, since I could potentially get a bigger mud to throw on you, it would be akin cleansing a little tinkle with a slash of urine. Last time I read Chapter of Dhahaarah, that was prohibited. I take the high road. Cabdiyyo, gabayga jajaban ee Ca’da ah aduu kugu socdaa ! I await your buraanbur!

Somalilanders should extend more support to Alshabaab.
xiinfaniin replied to RedSea's topic in Politics
^^EDIT: actually you did clarify your position on the question of seccession: YOU ARE FOR IT ! Folks, NGONGE understands, more than anyone else, the difficulties that attend the subject of secession. When the emotional pendulum of his fellow landers swings to the other direction, he pushes the right button to store the balance. And he does it in a manner only few could do. In fact I envy him for that! In a span of few pages, NONGE’s logic disabled the power of Red’s half-truths. Look what happened in this thread. Gone are the jingoistic froths of good Red Sea. He regained his secessionist sanity (if one could call it that) once the old hand pressed the right buttons. That patriotic Red who threw his fisted hand in the air, the Alshabaab fighter who passionately summoned all Somalis to fight for the same cause, and more tragically, the rousing speech, all of that perished in NGONGE’s hands. Yet while NG killed the alshabaab Red, he sparred the old good Red Sea as we came to know him on these pages: now it’s back to square one for Red. When the push comes to shove, and despite all the noises and misleading speeches, the man is determined clinging to the feeble hopes of seceding. It’s, as it has been for some time: way dhaqaaqday vs. ha noolaato . -
^ So NGONGE you were actually able to publish this story with your SOL nick! That's really neat! edit: Aw Tusbaxle's yaa lagaa tagin . Post your provocative stories on WardheerNews.com.
