It's been described as mud wrestling by more than one poster. We all know Duke can get, erm, carried away. But you as an elder of SOL... But then I'm not your mother so I'll keep quiet. Given we agree on the facts - my position is that the matter be investigated. Nowhere did I say the Imam's xaj trip should be cancelled or that he be turned back. I have my own positions on issues which I would appreciate not be conflated with Duke's. As for me taking it personally - if you say so. Over and out. ^^Although there are some glaring cracks (mentioning my mother) in you’re above civil post, I appreciate the measured response adeer. As for the cancellation part, if I am not mistaken it was you who said that you would have Imam investigated. I asked you for what basis! Mere rumors, it seems. As you were!

I really am at a loss to understand why you've taken it so personally. If there is no basis there - no amount of 'snitching' will work. End of story. As to the question you posed above - if what you said in your last paragraph is accurate - then I'm not sure I see your objections to an investigation of the mosque and the imam. Yes - BG - you and one other person's posts were the ones that annoyed me. I don't know why you keep insinuating this whole incident is made up. Adeer spare me with the pretense and the superficial concern about Duke and I. If you find yourself agreeing with Duke’s line of argument feel free to support, and defend the silly accusations he had made. This is not a personal thing. It’s a running debate. Perhaps it’s you who took it personally for whatever the reason may be. What’s really pathetic and silly is your argument in support of canceling Imam’s Xaj trip on the basis of mere rumors. That I find quite disconcerting! What would you think the cancellation of Xaj trip would achieve to remedy the incident that happened? The Imam was not fleeing from Minneapolis you see! He was leading close two hundred individuals traveling to the holy site. I think it's unfortunate situation. I hope it gets cleared soon. And it will insha Allah!
  4. ^^Waraa Generaalka ha fogeyn ninyahow. Duke cara dhaafinaysee, wax badan buu ogyahay.
  5. ^^Well 'the certain other person' is here today, and the issue was the fact you bragged about snitching. The fact you showed up in this thread is also interesting... I survived first time al xamdulilaah In all seriousness, wax isku fal! If you like to talk about terror networks, be clear who you think the terrorists are. We are talking about Abubakar As-sidiiq Mosque. We are also talking about sheekhuna, Sheekh Cabdurahman. Both have nothing to do with terror... Even unstable Omer Jamal is demanding answers from whoever was behind good Sheekh's trip cancelation.
  6. ^^If you take via Liberia dhank Afisyooni, you will see Castro's fromer residence . Mayya saaxiib, in my early years we were in Baar-bakiin, suuqa miijiska zone. From my middle school onward, I lived not far from the area good Val described.
  7. Xamar Kismayo oo kale ay noqotay: qof walba waa reer xamar beryahan! Xattaa barafasoorka Geella, xamar uu sheeganayyaa .
  8. We shall see how united PL will be behind Ina Yusuf. We shall also see how Cadde's posture affects the upcoming election in PL. To the Yey supporters, adeerayaal the real game is being played in Baydhabo and Xamar. PL youths that Ina Yusuf took in the name of the republic are stationed in Xamar waiting to guard the president. The old man needs to go back and play the game as it's presented to him. Hadda banooniga Sharif aa watta, instead of being Garoowe, the man should either gesture for Sharif or tackle man ala manly style and take the possession of the ball. Yaan shiddada reeraha lagula soo meeraysan waryaaya...

The Point wrote: 1- Young adults including teens were sent to Somalia to wage 'jihad' True. 2- These young adults attended dugsis in Minn True. 3- They did not have independant means to undertake a trip to Somalia and their parents were unaware of it until after they were there Partially true (most had independent means to undertake the trip, but that is beside the point.) I would like officials to investigate all aspects of this including the said mosque and imam. Why would you want to investigate the said mosque and the saim Imam? Is this because the said mosque happens to be one of the mosques these young men used to go? And the Imam also happens to be the Imam of a mosque where these young men used to go?
  10. The honorable man performs what he promises, and the rain-cloud pours if it has thundered.. And so did the peace caravan. Lest you get confused as a result of Ina Yusuf’s Tolla’ayeey in the audible clannish musings coming out from Garowe, the capital of bilaadul punt, what this caravan did was not to tip the political balance unfairly favoring one group over the other. It did not favor clan x over clan y. What it truly did was to challenge the notion of armed uprising and violence being as the only tools available in Somalia politics. It showed, with vision and courage, political odds can indeed be overcome…look at Sharif. The man was dismissed as uninitiated novice in hard goings of politics, and today he’s in possession of some hard political currency that many are envious about. Now there are some difficulties and challenges that are hard to neglect. Ina Yusuf seems to have resolved to oppose this, and his stance cannot be dismissed as a mere bluff. He has some political capital that he can if he so wishes spend against the progress this peace process made. Alshababs are also plotting to abort this and derail the whole thing in order to create political and security conditions that would favor them. The parliament is weak and in shambles hence conducive to divisions that could make the whole thing fail. Ethiopia is perfectly positioned and all the prevailing conditions favor her to come out of this tall and standing. If that’s the case, then what has this caravan achieved? A lot. Considering what have transpired in the last two years, this peace process has advanced the ball a much further than previously expected. Today the discussion is no longer about whether talking with Sharif and his group is acceptable to the current players. Likewise whether Courts leaders can sit down and chart a way out of this is no longer a matter of theological debate in the country’s leading religious circles. Also what the opposition in tfg side objecting to can easily be overcome if addressed in a manner that’s palatable for both sides while preserving the objective of ensuring Ethiopia’s withdrawal. So don’t be fooled by the silly talk about the increased parliament size! The real measure of this now is Ethiopia’s complete withdrawal. Sharif should be flexible about these numbers, but must insist on Ethiopia's withdrawal in a timely fashion.
  11. Farax, Sh. Abdurahman’s holly trip might’ve ended at the Minneapolis airport, as the Star Tribune put it, but his mission to spread the dacwah has not! The FBI has every right to look into the matter, and find out if the Mosque is indeed a recruiting base for terror as certain snitches alleged. We know it’s not. To correct you, the sheikh is not on a no fly list. His flight has been canceled, and that’s all. There is no official case against him. Notwithstanding with the apparent media curiosity, local authority has not shown any interest or suspicion. The weak ones will try to utilize every conceivable tool to contaminate the reputation of the Mosque. But they will not succeed. Al xamdulilaaah, it’s quite soothing to watch the level of support and outpouring of sympathy the sheikh and Masjid received. The mosque is truly an Islamic institution. It’s a community center. Being the largest mosque in the state, it enjoys the support of Somalis and other Muslims in the state. Elected officials also know what this place is all about. The relationship it has with law enforcement agencies is good one. And this matter will be cleared in due time insha Allah. As for the outcasts and the stories of Cedar merfishes, that I don’t know adeer…

Aw Tusbaxle: Allow Amxaarka ayyaama noo daa, Allow nabada fashili, Allow alshabaab guulee, Allow Sharifka fashili, Allow Ina Yusuf quwee, Allow Nur Cadde fashili, It was reported that when Oodweyne heard ducada Aw Tusbaxle, inuu aaminsaday with some conditions: Allow ina Yusuf jabi, laakiin Puntland na ku dar, Allow alshabaab iyo Sharifka kaa rabtid guullee, Laakiin Allow xukunkoodu uusan PL (iyo koonfurta) soo dhaafin to be contnd....

Meesha wax kale ma yaallaan, xattaa Kashafa rasaastii aa ka go'i rabta, sh. xasan will get some kuraas, and indhacadde is in the process of being considered. Sharif is playing the game very well. Amxaaro will be out insha Allah, and that would be the ultimate measure of this thing.
  14. This thread should not die. I was meaning to post my take in the thanksgiving week. It was not made possible. I shall find the time to at least get this going again...
  15. Waryee sidii qaraxii Hargeysaba dhegahaagu wax ma maqlaan ninyahow. Peace Caravankii wuu baramoosay.Intaa bbc da ka dhegeyso.
  16. Shimmaali, qalin rasaaska Sharifka aa aakhirkii mucaadallada toosiyey awoowe. To be fair, initially violence was needed to resist the invasion. But those who refused the common sense have been shown that Somalis can sit down and talk these issues out... and this exactly what has happened. We are now debating about the feasibility of the size of the new parliament, and not about the approach itself. I do not think that to be a real obstacle. I think Ina Yusuf will try to use it to appeal to his supporters. But aakhirka waa laga gudbi…
  17. Waraa al xaqu yuqaal; salute to Red Sea, the man is no longer a secessionst. He has finnally refused to be small when he could be big... Al shabaab will come home, and so will insha alaah the man, red sea.
  18. Originally posted by RedSea: The homeless horse is still pushing for the imaginery caravan. lool.. "ma anaa dunida qaybiyoo, qoobad ku siiyey". Ma anagaa ku nidhi political cards aad haysatid ku wada shub hal meel. ^^ Redka, Don’t be bitter adeer; your clarifications in the other thread about being alshabaab man, and not a secessionist, is a great development. I do respect that choice of yours. Of course I do believe the peace caravan approach is the way to go. It has worked so far. Those who spearhead it knew it would not be an easy thing. The fog you see today is just another obstacle that need be overcoming. When Ethiopia withdraws, most of alshabaab fighters will join Sharif’s side, I predict. Redka will just be one of those latecomers to our side...
  19. Where is brother Red Sea? Do you blve SL is a different country than Somalia? Do you support its independence bid? If do, how could you support alshabaab that aspires to acheive the opposite? Check this brother: Man rakiba ximaarayn shaqqa duburah
  20. Kashafa’s argument: we will kill you if you don’t follow our way, yaa **********. ^^Sickening. A&T argument: I don’t know what’s gonna happen tomorrow. I don’t frankly care. But I know Ethiopia; lets fight it everywhere till they free my people in the ****** region. We must widen the coverage of this conflict in the somali proper. ^^Daniiste. Faracanab’s take on this; I like A&T. ^^no comment . ***** iyo nacab haka naxeennee, the caravan shall march forward
  21. ^^I acknowledge your sentiment bro.. It has finally arrived. The Caravan did. It altered the political equation. It succeeded where violence failed. Now instead of debating about the possibility of unity government, the talk of fadhi-ku-dirirs are about objecting few clauses in the new agreement. That will be sorted out insha Allah. If we have been fighting for 20 years to attain power, we can inflate number of parliamentarians to achieve some stability. Nothing is imprinted in stone. These clauses can be changed or reversed. What we must not allow to change is the approach to achieve peace and stability through dialogue and compromise. Salute to Sharif: the Geography teacher who once again showed that the pens are indeed mightier than the sword.
  22. Xaaji NG, dont listen these confused folks. Gartu Ilaahay bay taqaannaa. You are asking legitimate questions. Red Sea, could easily choose to give direct answers and put away this argument, or he could continue doing what he did in his last post; dwell in generalities without denouncing one of the two extremes he wants to hold, simultaneously. Does he see Somalia as his Muslim neighbor or his own country? Does he still support Somaliland’s aspiration to secede or not? He must stop camouflaging with emotional arguments and address the apparent contradictions he harbors. Period.
  23. Both above media clips put emphasis on the root cause of Somali piracy.
  24. Cajaaib sheekhoow . Hurricane Aw Tusbaxle has passed, and xaaji NG came out unscathed!
