  3. Gheelle this Mintid guy wuxuu rabaa inuu Puntland ku shahiido ee maad deysid. Midda kale Geellow, ka warran Goroowe awoowe! I gather the arbitaration committee is agreed upon now, and things are sat to go smooth come election day. Maaha?
  4. ^^That is unintelligible what are you trying to say? that you would try to do anything? Try something that works. Hiring foriegners to articulate your case is not going to work!
  5. We dont worry about Petter. He has no credibility! If Peter Pham is your hired pen to advance your couse, you need to worry!
  6. The situation in the Horn of Africa is rapidly reaching crisis proportions and specifically United States policy towards the one time Somali Democratic Republic needs to be reformulated on the basis of something other than the series of unrealistic assumptions on which it has hitherto been predicated. Peter Pham, the separatist’s hired pen, is getting ahead of himself these days! The incoming Obama administration would be better advised to ignore neocon’s remnant’s recommendations.
  7. the caravan started 11 months ago ----it shall continue its forward march!
  8. ^^another loose screw. Ibti, Your sentiment (I cant call it an argument for there is none really) is typical. Opposing things is easy. Holding lingering grudges toward certain warlords and personalities is easy. Carrying past grievances is even easier adeer. What’s not easy, good Ibti, is to get a good measure of the prevailing political and security mess in Somalia, and then estimate a reasonable solution. And that’s exactly what Jabbuuti Accord has done! Nothing is perfect, and this one is no exception. It may not achieve all the objectives it sat out to attain, but it surely changed the national conversation. Why you cant even admit that is beyond me really! That you do not have an agenda or a faction to support is not credible really. For as far as I know you support the SL entity with all the political ramifications it may entail. I do not understand why people are deciding to be politically formless as of late! Forget about Sharif and the Jabbuuti details. The caravan as a concept is unassailable! And that's the last word.
  9. Ibti, Don’t be a loose screw adeer; meel qabso please! We are supporting peaceful approach through political settlement. The Caravan represents that deeper concept, and it’s unfamiliar one runtii! I do not necessarily expect you to honor this caravan and the courageous man who led it with laureate---your gratitude is not required adeer! What is required however is to reason with us as to what will the alternative be if we take your counsel and abandon this initiative!
  10. It's not believable that Horn has no position on the political goings of Somalia. But hearing from the horse’s mouth, I will have no choice but to take it at face value! TFG is a known commodity and we all know who brought it to being. Some, including me, saw it as a part of Somali conflict, and a significant variable in the larger Somali equation. The Jabbuuti Peace is partly contingent upon TFG’s survival as an entity. Who leads it is irrelevant to the larger approach embraced by those who put time and efforts to usher a new era in Somali politics and transition the country from this messy civil war! There is a competing strategy to change things in Somalia however. Alshabaabs and others who, for the lack of tasty political formulation, still hide under the appeal of resistance, has adopted that strategy. Their approach clearly entails to destroy not only Ethiopia’s army but the TFG as well! The anomalies with such gamble are numerous. It lacks clear exist strategy from the perpetual wars that Somalis have sadly become accustomed to. Last time I checked you were on board with such nonsense. That’s why I asked the question. At the moment you’ve swung back to the middle of things it seems. Adeer Jabbuuti Deal is not a farce! It’s real. The increased parliament size is unworkable proposition that will have to be eventually amended. It’s not the mainstay of this deal however. Forming a unity government IS! And that’s the key adeer! Carraabay…
  11. No surprises indeed! Bal ii sheekee xoogaa adeer:- Horn, are you now with Sharif's caravan? Do you think TFG, as corrupt and incompetent as it may be, is useful political construct that Somalis must salvage to transition the country? Have you abandoned your earlier pronounced commitment to al shabaabs approach? Those are half rhetorical, part serious questions as your last few days's passionate posts hinted some shifts from your part!
  12. Nonsense! That's what Oodweyne's above post is!
  13. Anigu Xaniifaan isku rag nahay ! Maxaa BOB iyo Jamaal ii raacinayyaa when I can partner with the Harari girl! Speaking of Bernie, you gotta give the guy some credit for while others in his calibre were preying on the poor in the form of sub primes and the like, he was eying on the big fishes like Hollywood fild directors,Holocaust profiteers, and those in the government branches. His techinque was simple but the scheme he put together lacked strong financial construct...the rest is history.
  14. lol@Haneefah. Ka daa xaaji NG saa ha orane! December 17, 2008 Op-Ed Contributor The Shoe Heard Round the World By JOHN KENNEY Hitting someone with a shoe is considered the supreme insult in Iraq. It means that the target is even lower than the shoe, which is always on the ground and dirty. — The Times, Dec. 15 IN France, of course, it’s a waffle. Throw a waffle at someone and you have said, in essence: “I loathe you. You are scum. Your people are donkey traders.” It suggests that the target is even lower than a waffle, which is sometimes on the ground if it happens to fall off a plate, and the ground could be dirty, depending upon the ground. Who’s to say why, exactly? Some say the waffle’s association with Belgium is enough to disgust any Frenchman. Others suggest it is its annoyingly spongy consistency. Still others say it’s the derivation of the word — “le waffle” in French, from the Flemish “wafflintis” and originally the Latin “wafflibus,” all of which translate, loosely, to “waffle.” For scholars of insults, what comes to mind almost immediately after a high-profile insulting incident is the central African nation of Chad, where hitting someone with a pair of pants is the highest form of insult. It means that the target is lower than pants, the hem of which, while not on the ground, is often near the ground and, again, unclean. The only problem with this form of insult is that the thrower then has to retrieve the pants, as he or she had been wearing them. For many years people threw shorts, but almost no one was offended, as the hem of shorts is a great distance from the ground. “We’re working on new forms of insult, as well as changing our country’s name, which, strangely, is a common first name in California,” said a Chadian cultural attaché. “We need to be taken more seriously.” In the former Soviet Union it is not uncommon, especially among the savage Russian mafia, to throw a 68-ton American-made Abrams M1A1 tank. It means that the target is even lower than a tank, whose treads are always on the ground, unless they’re not for some reason — say, repairs or what-have-you. In fairness, though, the throwing of tanks appears to be happening with less frequency, due to the near impossibility of surprise, especially at indoor events. In Peru, meanwhile, people throw their voices as a form of insult. While not technically near the ground, a voice suggests “sound” and “sound” rhymes with “ground,” the ground being low and possibly unclean, depending upon where, exactly, you’re standing. Peruvians say that throwing your voice is the ultimate insult because the intended victim doesn’t know where it came from. It is not uncommon to hear someone say, “Who said that?!” on the streets of Lima after a particularly cutting remark. The danger, of course, is insulting someone by trying to throw your voice, but doing it poorly and instead moving your lips. The intended victim knows immediately where it came from. And what of tiny Bhutan, snug between Tibet in the north and India to the south? In this mysterious Buddhist country, perhaps the only one in the world that measures its Gross National Happiness, people throw brightly colored tissue paper, so as not to hurt anyone. The paper falls harmlessly to the ground — a symbol of both lowness and dirt — and the thrower quickly picks it up, disposes of it, and then apologizes profusely. Source: New York Times!
  15. So from these reporting Yey is short, and Nur has the upper hand on the ground game! Interesting.

  19. ^^Malika, this stalemate is not good for the peace caravan the good Sheekh leads. It’s because of the peace caravan that these two men are in this political gridlock. The old man wanted to do it in his own way & style, while Nur was in cahoots with the international community---Nur, in his capacity as pm, advanced International community’s approach toward political settlement! Lets hope this gets resolved soon!

  22. An AU delegation left Baydhabo today without making any headways to resolve the stalemate! Some one took Trojan’s Horse as a valuable gift. Who will that person be?
  23. ^^Oodweyne, On the positive consequence of the peace caravan, the fact you deny its political effects is a clear indication that you are a sufferer of sort! On Yey’s fate, granted that you despise Yey but don’t allow that emotional fog block your reasoning. TFG is the only legal means the powers that be have on the ground, and Yey occupies on the top seat. It’s easy to sack or appoint new pm, but it threatens the whole tfg project to make changes on the top post! Hence they must deal with him! There are two ways to deal of him; assassinate him or cede to him whatever constitutional power the TFG charter grants him, and let the matter play up within the accepted rules of the tfg entity. In that context, I do not see how Nur and Yey can work together going forward! I do not also see the subsequent stalemate any forced relationship engers benefiting anyone, be it the powers that be or the Jabbuuti deal! The situation is very fluid now, and one can’t clearly tell facts from the propaganda rubbishes that tribal news portals feed the masses. But here are the facts: 1- The head of tfg sacked his pm, and promised a quick appointment within days 2- The parliament has reportedly approved sacked pm’s cabinet It’s very simple really. Either Yey’s sacking will stand or fail when the parliament takes the matter up. The vote of confidence is a sideshow adeer. As for the peaceful roll out of this latest political play, adeer I don’t know what you are objecting to. Surely you are not a supporter of tfg hence I can only take any superficial concern from your part the sham pretense it truly is! Now come back and do what you do best; accuse us with all sorts of motives!
