Dear Gaaxnuug, Don’t protest too much about Aw Muse’s negative critique of your performance. Aw Muse only shared what he thought were the real truths of this squabble. Many agreed with him silently. But the real narrative of this thing in my opinion is an Olivia Charambara fan tried to ambush an aspiring Somali poet. And the abmush fails. The Y is rich in vocabulary. That you would find it hard to compose using it was the objective of my strategy. I am glad it worked flawlessly. Just wait my parting verses. I will bid you farewell. I will be fair.

^^Yes I would, NGONGE. problem is his wild swings even when guided by NGONGE have no chance of getting me

^^ This master slave thing that you keep repeating must be from an experience of yours that still lingers. In these pictures one sees a story of progress that is particularly relevant to Puntland’s development. This is a business relationship that is between two brotherly communities divided by the sea. Drop this negativity waryee. It’s dangerous. It may eat up your soul, if you have one to begin with.

Will Sharif Hotel shake hands with Kiss Mrs Clinton ? Have your say

Duke has put forth an elaborate quandary for Sharif. If Sharif shakes the hand of America’s secretary of state, the article duke posted opines, he looses credibility with the Somalia’s religious community. If he refuses however, Sharif will have become a principled hero who accepts the price of being seen a radical he is not, and America will therefore shun him and his government. Bal ka tali. Except this dilemma does not exist in the real world. Certainly the issue is not whether to shake hands or not, rather it’s garnering support for Somalia’s struggling government. That is the priority in this meeting. This frivolous issue will be a major concern for some circles, however. You will see alshabaab squad digging fatwas about the calamity shaking the hand of imra'ah ajanibiyyah could bring about while cheering for taking the lives of fellow innocent muslims. -
^^that is exactly what Gaaxnuug is pregnant with. ka rogoo labo saar. Gheelle dont you think NGONGE is coming down with some interesting stuff I think NGONGE’s spontaneous albeit broken verses worth a positive critique. It says more about the man and his rajuulah than it does in his skills of the subject of discussion. NGONE might have violated the meter of Somali gabay, but he has indeed retained the form keeping it intact, and certainly the literary spirit with which he sprung forth is unparalleled. I mean the last time uninitiated novice took on established poet was back in nineteen fifties when reer Mudugh fellow by the name of Ciise Cagole (Isse the one with no legs) bravely challenged Farah Gurey--- a public spectacle that still remain the stuff of hilarity and mirth. However when in nineteen seventies Isse’s son composed the famous sheeko baraley song, sung by Qadro Daahir, no one could deny the quality of the literary yield Isse’s initial poetic quall has produced. Perhaps similar fate awaits NGONGE junior…

US secretary of state to meet with the Somali president
xiinfaniin replied to xiinfaniin's topic in Politics
Clinton set to meet Somali president in Africa trip Monday, July 27, 2009 WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton plans to meet the president of Somalia's transitional government during a seven-nation trip to Africa next week, the State Department said on Monday. Clinton will be the highest-ranking U.S. official to meet Somali President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed, signaling the Obama administration's strong wish to bolster the fragile government in the lawless Horn of Africa country. The meeting will take place on the sidelines of an annual trade forum with sub-Saharan countries being held in Kenya's capital, Nairobi, on August 5, said State Department spokesman Ian Kelly in a statement announcing the trip to Africa. Kelly gave no other details of the meeting with Ahmed, who is struggling to take control of the nation from hard-line opposition fighters bent on overthrowing his western-backed government. Western security agencies have long feared that Somalia, with its large coastline and porous borders, could become a haven for foreign militants looking to attack the region and beyond. The United States has offered military support to Somalia's government, including more than 40 tonnes of weapons and ammunition, to help it fight insurgents, a senior U.S. official said last month. It has also offered training for security forces as well as logistical and financial help. After visiting Kenya, Clinton will travel to South Africa, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Liberia and Cape Verde, where she is expected to reinforce President Barack Obama's firm message that aid must be matched by good governance. In a trip to Ghana earlier this month, Obama urged Africans to take a greater responsibility for stamping out war, corruption and disease plaguing the continent. "In each nation, she will emphasize Africa as a place of opportunity, built on an ethic of responsibility," Kelly said. "This trip will highlight the Obama administration's commitment to making Africa a priority in U.S. foreign policy," he added. (Reporting by Sue Pleming, editing by Paul Simao) -
^^you are familiar with the term tacjiimu lughah it should not therefore surprise you when i derive words from the source and play with them. For Gaaxnuug my expectation is bit different. And in NGONGE's case it's a crime to hold him accountable for his apparent blunders. But you yaa nuune is asking for trouble when you feign ignorance on a subject you are expert on

^^The strategy is clear for me. Unfortunately it is not so for NGONGE. Fiiri, I don’t think you can be at par with me by making loud noises ya Gaaxnuug. If you look at the Islamic section i have opened a theological discussion confident that yours will remain a distant shout. You come accross as some one who does not appriciate quality verses when he sees some, and that itself is a clear disqualifier. NGONGE, this is not a draw. This is not even a contest anymore. What you see my friend is a swearing man who thinks cursing his opponents equals fighting them. That may be so in some galbeed suufi circles . But here in SOL it equals defeat.

The biggest tarbiyah lesson in this event, as I see it, is the inevitability of conflict and the importance of dialogue as remedy. There are three dimensions to this fitnah, and Musa tackles each one of them. It can be said that there are two Musas in the quran. The first is the physically strong man, who grew up playing around majestic buildings, and who as the quran points out slaps adversaries in the face to side with the xaq. The second is the humble, wise and educator Musa who as we can see in this episode overcomes his anger and uses dialogue to advance his message. The transition is brought about by rigorous spiritual and as well as physical training prescribed by Allah, and in the surati Dhaha the sequence of that transition is beautifully captured by one of the best, and certainly my favorite, quranic narrations; Ji’ta calaa qadarin yaa Musa. Now that is my take on the tarbiyah dimension. Febragas you still owe us some answers on the other inquiries. In the meantime, and while good Febragas is contemplating on the matter, let me draw Sh. Nur in to this discussion, and directly ask him how could the stories of prophets in general and their struggle to advance xaq under the shade of thulmi and the approaches they took to overcome it contrast with today’s rebellious, reactionary manifestations in resorting to swift justice, as they called it, even when its clear that it’s hardly that swift. What was the dignity and sharaf nabiyyullaahi Luud lacked, for instance, when he was clearly willing to offer his daughters to wicked men to save his angelic guests that today's linnets in the form of armed groups posses and die for it in rejecting alternatives other then the one that is supposedly found in the so called rapid Islamic justice? One wonders if such act would be considered dab0dh1lif practice in light of today’s mindless rhetoric from some groups in Somalia. You read the story of Huud, Saalax, and Yonis and the pattern never changes. It’s one of resolve and gradual gain, and not what we see today in many places of Islamic world. I digress on purpose---apologies for hijacking the thread.

And where is NGONGE? He must be disappointed by now in the fact that his friend Gaaxnuug is desperately resorting to give this little debate a regional dimension.
