NGONGE, for some one who is on a one hand a Somali citizen with keen interest in the goings of Somalia, and on another hand, a citizen of a democratic country called Somaliland that has very little in common with the 'koonfurian' tragedy of Somalia, confused is the only description I could find. And when one has to respond to Mintid, a man who writes more grammar than truth and delves in topics he knows very little about, and then one cannot help but notice the confusion at work NGONGE;758612 wrote: Talo maxa nago wada dhacay ninyaho? You sound confused just like the author whose write up you posted. You need 101 on local politics. Why don't you consult with Gabal, the other confused fellow in these boards. On a side note, the rift between Madoobe and Gandhi is greatly exaggerated. Kenya's invasion is primarily a military one hence both militias are in cahoots with the Kenyan army. Ethiopia is too far from the border to have any meaningful impact on Jubbooyinka. If they could help anyone Barre would have captured the city of Baardheere by now. -

With the backing of Kenyan army, Azania will. But I don't see the Kenyan invasion succeeding. If anything it will boost alshabaab. -

Kenya waa ka caddahay. Tacbaan waaxid. Yesterday they were talking seeking the help of Iran and Turkey. Today they're talking funny again

Where's professor Abtigiis this morning? Abtigiis, war fiican baan saaka kuu hayyaa. Make your presence here known to us and we will reveal the glad tidings. Please ignore our old friend Gabal's confused messages; he is the most mischievous for he welcomes Kenya's invasion while opposing Azania and then have the audacity to accuse others with clannish agenda

^^Mintid , you need to learn how to debate in online forums. The opinion I posted is relevant to the issue in question. Whether I agree with 'Dr. Weinstein's analysis on Somali issues' is neither here nor there. This exercise of yours in focusing on Xiin does not add any value to the large discussion we're having here.

Gantaalo ku dhacay degmada Afgooye iyo deegaanno kale oo ka tirsan Gobolka Shabeellada Hoose Isniin, November 14, 2011 (HOL) — Qaraxyo waaweyn ayaa xalay laga maqlay degmada Afgooye iyo deegaanno kale oo ka tirsan gobolka Shabeellada hoose oo ay ka taliso Xarakada Al-shabaab, iyadoo aan la ogeyn khasaaraha rasmiga ah ee ka dhashay duqeymahaas. Goobjoogayaal ku sugan degmada Afgooye ayaa HOL u sheegay inay arkeen iftiin aad u weyn kadibna ay maqleen jug weyn, sidoo kalena ay daqiiqado kaddib maqleen qaraxyo kale oo ka dhacay meelo ka fog degmada. "Iftiin ayaa magaalada oo dhan qariyay, kaddibna waxaan maqalnay jug weyn oo ka dhacday galbeedka magaalada, ma garanayno khasaaraha dhashay, balse cabsi weyn ayay arrintan nagu beertay," ayuu yiri C/risaaq Ciise oo ka mid ah dadka daggan degmada Afgooye ee gobolka Shabeellada hoose. Sidoo kale, goobjoogayaal ku sugan deegaannada loo barakacay ee duleedka Muqdisho ayaa iyaguna sheegay inuu dushooda maray wax weyn oo iftiin badan wata, kaddibna ay maqleen jug culus. Clar Ni Chonghaile in Nairobi Monday, November 14, 2011 Scores of people have fled the Somali town of Afgoye after a massive explosion which al-Shabaab insurgents said was caused by a missile strike on one of their bases. Military officials said they were trying to find out what caused the blast on Sunday night. Al-Shabaab, which is linked to al-Qaida and controls large sections of central and south Somalia, is fighting African Union peacekeepers, Somali government forces and Kenyan troops, while foreign warships are also active offshore, battling pirate gangs. At least two regional news agencies reported that senior al-Shabaab commanders had been killed in the explosion, although it was not immediately possible to confirm this. Some residents of Afgoye said there had been a flurry of insurgent activity in the area on Sunday amid rumours that rebel commanders were meeting. "I am sure there was a meeting going on in the base near the orphanage. Armoured cars and expensive 4x4s were buzzing around," Afgoye resident Osman Odowa told Reuters. "One of the missiles struck right around there," Odowa said. Mogadishu-based media company Suna Times said on its website that al-Shabaab leaders were killed in what it described as an air strike by a US drone on Afgoye. A US source said the United States was not involved. A senior al-Shabaab official said two missiles were launched from warships offshore. "Enemy warships in the Indian Ocean fired two missiles at us," the official told Reuters. There were no casualties, he said. It was not possible to verify his account. The Kenyan army, which has deployed thousands of troops inside Somalia, said it did not attack Afgoye, 12 miles (19km) from the capital Mogadishu. "Yes, there was an explosion but it was not carried out by Kenyans," said spokesman Major Emmanuel Chirchir. He did not have information on any casualties. Kenya blames Islamist al-Shabaab rebels for a series of kidnappings and cross-border raids that threaten to damage east Africa's largest economy. Al-Shabaab has denied involvement in the kidnappings but has threatened to attack Kenya in retaliation for the incursion. Two weeks ago Kenya warned it would launch air strikes on 10 Somali towns where al-Shabaab has bases, including Afgoye. Lieutenant Colonel Paddy Ankunda, a spokesman for the 9,000-strong African Union (Amisom) peacekeeping mission in Mogadishu, said he was seeking confirmation of what had happened in Afgoye. "We don't know if it was a premature blast inside the al-Shabaab or an air strike. We are still trying to gather information." Amisom troops support Somalia's transitional federal government, which is backed by the international community but has failed to extend its reach beyond the capital. One of the scores of people fleeing Afgoye on Monday was mother-of-five Samira Farah, who was heading to Mogadishu. She said there was a column of minibuses laden with mattresses behind her. "Who dares to stay in a place which is a target of planes and warships?" she said. Some people in the area between Afgoye and Mogadishu said they had seen a bright light streaking through the sky before the explosion on Sunday night. Source: Guardian

Ra'iisul Wasaaraha Kenya oo weydiistay Israa'iil inay ka caawiso tababarka la siinayo ciidamada booliiska Isniin, November 14, 2011 (HOL) – Ra'iisul wasaraha dalka Kenya, Raila Odinga ayaa weydiistay Israa'iil inay ka taageerto tababarka ciidamada booliiska ka hortaga qaraxyada si u horjoogsadaan falalal argagaxiso oo ay Al-shabaab ka geysato dalka Kenya. Warsaxaafadeed maanta oo Isniin ah ay soo saartay xukuumadda ayuu Odinga ku sheegay in madaxweynaha Yuhuudda Shimon Peres uu weydiistay in laga caawiyo sidii loo xoojin lahaa awoodda booliiska Kenya si ay u baajiyaan weerarro ay Al-shabaab ka fuliso dalkiisa. Qaraxyo dhowr ah ayaa ka dhacay dalka Kenya tan iyo markii ay ciidamada Kenya galeen gudaha Soomaaliya, iyadoo Kenya ay weerarradaas ku eedeysay inay ka dambeyso Al-shabaab. Weeraradaas ayaa waxaa ku dhintay sagaal qof oo ay ku jiraan dalxiisayaal kasoo jeeda dalalka galbeedka, iyadoo sidoo kale lagu dilay askar iyo dad shacab oo ku sugnaa Nariobi iyo deegaannada ku dhow soohdinta ay wadaagaan Soomaaliya iyo Kenya. Ciidamada Israa'iil ayaa ka mid ah ciidamada ku wanaagsan ee ka hortaga falalka argagaxiso, sida lagu sheegay warsaxaafadeedka kasoo baxay xukuumadda Kenya. Laakiin Al-shabaab ayaa horay ugu hanjabtay inay weerarro aargudasho ah la beegsanayso Kenya. Bishii lasoo dhaafay ayay Kenya kumannaan ciidamadeeda u soo dirtay Soomaaliya si ay ula dagaalamaan Al-shabaab oo awood badan ku leh gobollada ku yaalla Koonfurta Soomaaliya, iyadoo sheegtay inay ka jawaabayso afduubyo iyo dilal laga geystay dalkeeda. ^^That is why I was never so fond on this federalism thing. The only reason I tend to consider it as a part of the solution is that it may the only thing that would bring our brethren in the north back into national unity. But by design federalism is not applicable to Somalia ---both core components are missing; geography and ethnicity.

^^You mistake forum debate for confrontation, you have a lot to learn young man Porofosoore, you truly lost it. Your analogies are false and you know it. We answered your questions numerous times in different threads. Ethiopia invaded Somalia, and we opposed it. We never bless nor justify her negative influence on Somali leaders or political affairs in general. It is not true that Puntland was delivered by Ethiopian tanks as you seem to suggest--- I guess it is out of desperation you are doing this. Puntland was a result of a long, consultative conference amongst regions various clans, and the resultant political arrangement draws its legitimacy from the support of the original clans that formed it. Your suggestion therefore that Puntland was formed outside of Somalia is another desperation for a man who lost his center. TFG is a legal fiction that symbolically holds Somalia's national political stakeholders. It is a platform that must preserved in my opinion until an alternative is developed. You would not be able to go to Xamar without such a platform and political arrangement. Earlier I thought you agreed with my assessment. But like I said you are being fickle these days. Azania is the work of Kenyan intelligence for if it were a genuine political framework with real support it would have not needed Kenyan tanks to deliver it to the land of Jubbas. That it cannot do so because of Alshabaab presence shows how weak and unsupported it is. There are NO foreign tanks in Puntland preventing Alshabaab to capture it, nor there any foreign presence in Somaliland defending it from Alshabaab dominance. It is the people awoowe. As long the people are with you or tolerate you, you have a chance to survive. I could be wrong but this Azanian thing is so unpractical, Gandhi so unrealistic and Kenya so arrogant, I don't see any chance of success.
-
Gist of your argument in justifying the Azania nonsense and Kenyan invasion is in two fold: 1- If Faroole can do it, so can Gandhi. 2- If Ethiopia invades Somalia, or succeeds to bring important areas under her sphere of influence, why not Kenya Absent in those two premises are any national or even contextual consideration. What is clear however is the distance you are willing to travel to justify recent Kenyan military activity in the Somalia
-
^^EDIT: Profosoore you are missing the point; it is not upto Gandhi to decide what to do. It's Kenya's call. Kenya will define what sort of relationship Azania will have with the TFG and indeed with the rest of Somalia. Get that waryaa Sharmarke, I believe I can cut a deal with the man. I am not ignoring the fact he is singing ONLF anthem, waving Azania flag atop of Kenyan tank. Still I think he and I would've reached an agreement to end wars amongst Somalis
