  1. Dr. Abtigis used napalm b to smoke out clan statehood warriors from their hiding caves. Surely, his means are deplorable in the rules of engagement. The end goal is however justified Look at what happened to NGONGE and Jacaylbaro , afkay ka abruniyaan si ay u jawaabaan ma yaqaanaan
  2. In light of Dr. Abtigiis's engagement with the separatists goons in other threads on this forum, we decided to postpone publishing the interview. Malika---baayo ii waran ? You know Dr.Abtigiis is a man we greatly admire and respect. Our quest to sit down with him took months of logistical arrangements, and cannot be described as a boredom.
  3. ^^Waryaa afka suubso, Dr Abtigis nin qaawismi kara maaha , he is so well rounded , when you read his upcoming interview you will know the man is an intellectual eagle among crows in these discussion boards.
  4. ^^As a gratitude and appreciation of the permission to interview you, I was going to somewhat endorse your other post Now maadaama aad i hanjabtay waa la noqday taageeradaydii. But the summary of your interview will be published. It is not as bad as you think. In fact, it will shed a light on your thinking power. Remember the Brazilian anthropologist (whose name escapes me now ) who changed the prevailing attitude of race relations in that country
  5. When asked about whether Jesus is a God or not, Benjamin Franklin on his deathbed retorted ; I guess I will soon find that one out. I am sure Mr. Hitchens has already got some answers.
  6. Considering Diaspora is the lifeline and the source for development and political direction, Awdal is a reality now. NGONGE wuu inkiri siduu waagii horeba u inkiray SSC ilaa Kalshaale lagu diriray oo anti SSC protest ay ka dhacday Hargeysa
  7. Dr. Abtigiis, a prolific writer in the tradition of Ibn Battuta of Maghrib, an intellectual vagabond who spent many years on the hump of exile as a UN technocrat, a gifted and eloquent poet with the ability to express various sentiments in a manner that is not far removed from Sayid Mohamed’s tradition, the Master of Somali language, and a one time contender for the poetic throne of Xiinfaniin, has now accepted to sit down with SOL media, engaging in a wide ranging, and lively interview. Although Dr. Abtigis views politics and politicians in general with a condescending attitude, he recently wrote thought provoking articles proposing solutions for Somalia’s ills that are not, in his own words, for the fainthearted, pseudo nationalists and latter-day patriots. Dr. Abtigis is a rebel in nature and by training; he spent fighting days in the bushes of ****** and has certain lionhearted quality; as such he does no mince words. His hardened fist and sharp intelligence give him a deadly and effective combination against his adversaries. When I asked him to explain the Azania project, he was not philosophical about it as I expected. His answer was rather short and to the point. Azania, Dr. Abtigiis told me, is a representation of clan composition that is hard to stop--- It is about math. Ignore for a second the artificial colonial bounders erected to separate and weaken the Somali race. He proposed. Think of Jigjiga, and Garisa, and Garowe as regional administration axis that can be organized to form the basis for Somalia’s revival. Add Kismayo to that equation, and the result is a fifteen million strong people linked with clan lineage. It is a math. When I asked him whether that explanation is a prelude of a fiction book about Somali people and colonial legacy, Dr. Abtigis quickly retorted: my fiction stories have different characters that are primarily feminine in quality. I am trying to put the Azania state in the larger context of Somali conflict, he said. Isn’t that the most clannish proposition ever proposed, I asked. Clans are mere names, he said. It is the lineage, the relationship that matters. If alshabaab organized fifteen to twenty thousand fighting force, and achieved dominant military presence in the most important regions of Somalia, why not organize millions of people on whatever relationship that is practical and effective. He added. But we want to establish a nation, not a dominant clan, I said. What about Somaliland for example? I asked. Eeyaahee Faadumaay, wiilka luqmad u keen. Adeer waan ku warrami ee i yara bal sug. What followed was the most provocative, intellectually stimulating statement I have ever heard… a lecture of how nations are formed, how wars are won and how victories sustained. Kenya and Ethiopia are concocted lies with no fabric, a political and ethnic avalanche that will eventually collapse under the crushing feet of western economies. They are not imperial powers that warrant the fear and suspicion Somalis are exhibiting these days. But more importantly, Dr. Abtigiis elaborates with clear historical illustration albeit with didacticsm that is hard to bear as to why large clans should be viewed as savior of the Somalia nation. Other arrangements lack political depth and practical means to affect any meaningful changes. SOL media will share with the gallery the summary of Dr. Abtigis’s take on clans and as he put it how to exploit them for the large cause
  8. This is a cheap propaganda. It does not cut it. Galkacyo will be a peaceful place insha Allaah, not through war and hate, but through political unity and security cooperation.
  9. May I suggest both Professor Abtigis and The Zack be invited to this conference. They are very important personalities and will greatly contribute to the realization of Azania project .
  10. ^^ :D Mine would be best appreciated with a Mudugh regional accent, Nin baa magalaada muqdishu xiligii isticmaarkii caafimaad u yimi. Wuxuu isla doontay dhaqtar talyaani ah iyo tarjumaan, markii dhaqtarkii loo geeyey, ayaa waxaa dhexmaray doodda soo socotta; Dhaqtarkii: sidee lagu hayyaa Ninkii: Meel ii fayoobiba ma jirto Dhaqtarkii: Ii faah-faahi Ninkii: Habbeenkii labo indhood isuma geeyo, labada dhegood waa iqam, dhiiggu waa i rooraa, indhuhu waa i madoobaadaan, lafaha dhuuxaa lay shubaa, dhabarka waran baa la iga taagaa, madaxana hadda warkiisaba daa Dhaqtarkii: (asagoo yaaban) weligaa hore ma u xanuunsatay? 11. Warsamow (Positive), bal giraanta butili ... Weli waa qabyo ee markaad dhammaystirtid, baan wax kaa oran doonaa aragtidaada ku saabsan halka salka u ah dhibaatada Soomaaliya.
  12. This is a great initiative and is good for Somalia. Viva Turkey
  13. ^^^ :D @Baashi War ninyahow Gabal wax badan baa loo ogolyahaye ee reer miyinimo belo ku dhigay Abtigiis, meel fog ma jiro ee ogow , he is few pms away or shall we say a phone call away . If need be, that is.
  14. NGONGE;765341 wrote: Nothing awkard, saaxib. Amir makes fun of all. Should I explain again waht Amin does? As for Awdalland, that's even more laughable than the SSC thing (and the SSC thing actually has some legs, though broken). Still, Xiin, I think you finally found your level. Carry on your debates with our angry burahadeer. :D @Xiin, I think you finally found your level NGONGE is mad at me . What gives, old man? buurahadeer is fun, witty and typical of the young separatists generation. No issue there. Xiin is here to make fun of your independent country, not debate with your angry folks
  15. Sheekh Jawhar is an old hand who would predictably resist changes to the status qua. Remember Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt initially resisted the Youths call of Mubarak's fall .
  16. NGONGE, Yunis has proved himself as able debater, with admirable ability to articulate his point of views without resorting to personal attacks. Gabal as you know is a known commodity in these boards; always paranoid and haunted by what had transpired few years back in these boards. It is interesting to see him these days project a false veneer of authority on matters concerning Gedo region as he is the anointed spokesperson of Gedo people. As for me, I really, and genuinely agree with Yunis's views with respect to foreign invasions. Kenya as you know has been shown to be feckless in confronting Alshabaab. That they bombard Baardheere and kill farmers and goat herders only showcases their incompetence. Even Aw Tusbaxle has realized what he so passionately argued and defended (the new African strategy to defeat alshabaab) was nothing more than a wishful thinking on his part. Hence his strategic avoidance of Somaliaonline forum
  17. @Qandalaawi, I should point out that our NGONGE is noticeably absent in this discussion. The fact his fellow separatists are expressing anger at Amir's talent in depicting them puts the old man in awkward position
  18. Unionist party in a political framework intended to promote the notion of independent Somaliland? Perhaps this is one way to remedy the ills of twenty years of separatist indoctrination. There will be no need for referendum if a unionist party wins
  19. Separatists are now livid with our famous, talented cartoonist
  20. Gabbal;764989 wrote: Barre Hiiraale has nothing to do with the discussion but then again, him being your boogeyman, Really Forgive me if your nonsense reminds one about the defeated warlord. Perhaps it is more apparent than you think that your clannish perspective and political naivete are so Barre-like and outlandish.
  21. Blessed is a great choice. Abu Salman is another nomad who could objectively moderate this section. The day NGONGE, Maadeey or I are nominated is the day Islamic section will become another Political section. I agree Nur's sagacity and his unique perspectives/contributions are very hard to replace .
  22. By posting this positive thread about Puntland, Xaaji Xunjuf is reaching to Mr. Somalia with an olive branch
  23. ^^Same words were spoken before by none other than your hero Barre Hiiraale, if you care to remember Gabal 'Yuhuudaanu soo kaxaysanaynaa haddaan doono si aanu....' Nonsense
  24. Our splittest brothers in the north are these days proving to be inept in the propaganda wars. Their feckless attempts are best understood when projected against the recent movements in Borama and Erigavo, a political & security backdrop that seriously challenges the romantic narratives separatists tend to feed on with respect to Somaliland. Buuhoodle is a darwiish stronghold , the birth place of the concept of Somali nationhood.
