Somaliland as NGONGE suggests is trying to play the game and show its relevancy but it is I am afraid too late for the world is united in addressing the Somali tragedy. It is more likely than not that they will attend the Istanbul Conference. It is more likely than not that they will sit with TFG along with the two Puntland committee members. In 2012, it is delusional and a bit romantic to talk about separation and secession when the dynamics have significantly changed.

I guess we will have to wait the official agenda for the conference. I don't know what teh significance of the 2015 year is either. But the transition is planned to end on August 2012. The new constitution will be up for ratification in 2016. The Istanbul conference will be primarily about recovery and reconstruction of Somalia, it will also review the London Conference goals. One thing is clear though, Somalia is on the road of recovery and things are looking bright.

Somaliland is learning how to negotiate with the powers that be. They know for certain the quest of recognition is coming to a complete halt. Yesterday America's envoy for Somalia was in Hargeysa. Few weeks back Mahiga was dining with Siilaanyo. The Turkish Ambassador for Somalia weeks before that. The lyrics, as it were, are much better than the music itself. There will be good news for Somalia with respect to our Northern brothers and sisters.
