  1. The outcome of the first round: 'Qal-da-an' and 'Xabadi-keentay' will be banned in the public discourse for ever. Who ever get caught using them will face a prison time .
  2. LOL@Aw Tusbaxle What the good professor is saying: in the political chessboard of Somalia, Puntland is few moves ahead of the rest Not a bad appraisal
  3. xaaji xunjuf, this is really a step in the right direction . SL needs to be accommodated , it has been out of the political equation for a long time.
  4. I like it. This is a significant departure of how things has been. With Turkish arrival, the equation has significantly changed , the variables are about to be reorg'ed
  5. I take it the Makhir folks are not represented then. ps. by representation, I am referring to symbolic inclusion in the committee , and not necessarily a political representation.
  6. xaaji xunjuf aan kaftannee, markaan Siilaanyo rag ka socda reerkii qadiyadda go'itaanka u diriray buu magacaabay maaha? No more Dhulbuhante iyo ********** reps in the committee , right? Saas baa la rabaa
  7. Expect more rabble rousing from the secessionists' old guard. Ali knows for certain ; these negotiations are more about political in nature , and not as radical as most landers think .
  8. Somali iyo maangaabnaantooda. Sida loo fariisto muhiim maaha, in la wada HADLO ayyaa muhiim ah. There is a reason why our good Oodweyne is no longer on this forum
  9. Trying to show some leverage ...but their time is up
  10. Aamiin allaha u naxariisto... MMA samir iyo iimaan adiga iyo reerka intiisa kaleba
  11. What is wrong if Somaliland meets with Abdiweli. They met with Faroole, who in the eyes of Somalilanders is more polarizing and controversial
  12. Che, Take away the formality and technicality, and it becomes quite apparent TFG wil be talking to a specific constituency in the north who are heavily invested in the separatist political proposition. The massages and political yoga exercise will give away to the hard reality that exists on the ground. Khatumo grows prominent by the day, not in the form governance and development but in the form of polarized political movement that draws clear contrast with secessionism in Hargeysa . Dont get me wrong, I am for appeasing the north to preserve the union, but only a just resolution will form the basis of instability and security.
  13. *Blessed;839961 wrote: What's the point in talking to Sharifs Admin when they will be out in two months? Somalia should address the union with SL, once it has a fully functioning government that doesn't depend on constitutions drawn in foreign cities, a road map lead by foreign governments and peace protected by foreign armies. That is rather simplistic way of putting it, Blessed. Perhaps it alludes you that it is the political leaders in Hargeysa that realize time may not be favorable to them in the post August government as it was implicit in the London directive that 'ordered' the parties to engage.
  14. xaaji xunjuf, time has proven you and your ilk wrong, your waterloo was in 1992 , and not in the wars of ssc and khaatumo. you miscalculated the resolve of certain clans residing in colonial Somaliland and their determination against separation from the mother land. after twenty years of hype and propaganda, you are at the mouth of political implosion. Alas it is evident that you hope Sheekh Sharif to turn out sympathetic to accepting face saving political agreement while you are afraid of the inevitable and final political contours that are about to shape the emerging state...
  15. Che, it is not waste of time. At the minimum the process could as well be staging test for the ultimate political integration of secessionists in the north; in this process parameters will be defined, & the question of legitimate representation vs mere claims based on colonial nostalgia will be finally settled. In the end it will be clans that will talk, and there shall be no problem arriving equatable and just resolution to the question of secession.
  16. It is interesting that secessionist brothers are now interested more in talks with TFG than unionists are . It is all good
  17. He has no vision, so he always misses the big scheme of things. But in this article, he seems to be coming down with optimism
  18. The O clan is great institutions , to equate to a clan is a lie. We support ONLF, and think the O is important. Azania is an academic paper , no less no more. But the role of O in Kismayo is undeniable. We are not talking Barre Hiiraale here.
  19. World Bank is a predatory institution , no question about that. Audits and corruption reports are the story of those who are doing good. For Somalia, what is needed is not an audit report or corruption charges for there is no independent government. What is needed, and needed badly, is a strategic framework to revive the state, rebuild its institutions and bring it back to normalcy. The Turks rattled things for Nairobi based NGOs ---those who underwrote the black-hole projects in the name of Somalia are getting back at Turkey very hard, indirectly of course.
  20. I saw Che hanging with pretty girls He did not attend the conference--- what ever NGO he was representing, he owes them a full refund
