  1. Abwaan speak up: Are you for the new maamul or you still have reservation like our president's has? ps. All indiciations have pointed to your opposition to a Kismayo federal state dominated by the defeated lot (as Oodweyne might have said)
  2. He shall compete for the post though ... As has been the case for the past autonomous states , those who envision it, and take the initiative get the leadership position.
  3. taliyihii hore ee ciidanka Police-ka Soomaaliyeed xukuumaddii Cabdirashiid Cali Shar’maarke, iyo safiirkii dalka Soomaaliya ee dalka Tanzania, illaa muddo dhowna la hadal hayay in uu u sharaxanyahay safiirka Soomaaliya ee dalka Koonfur Afrika. ^^Cali Madoobe looks way too young to be Somalia's Police Chief during the government of Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke . Perhaps the author meant to say government of Ina Cabdirashid under Sheekh Sharif .
  4. LOL@NGONGE Oba is the only SOLer who has insight on president's thinking
  5. Oba is now betting on Gedo going rogue on Kismayo admin Waryaa sida Xasan oo kale sheekada fahan, oo Soomaaliya u ducee
  6. A little hype there , in either way this will take time. And producer does not necessarily mean exporter.
  7. I welcome your support Ayoub The Imam (waa tii ngonge ) has done great job in playing a very constructive role in Somalia's roadmap process. I hope he plays a similar role in taking Puntland out of the current clannish political construct.
  8. ^^ The president was not clear on this before yesterday , when he clarified his position and qualified his support, the atmosphere become clearer and the hysteria that surrounded this issue has diminished. that is what leadership is all about. When the president led, we see results. And I hope he continue with his renewed sense of focus on the bigger issues and priorities that country is confronted. Kismayo admin has been in the works well before the president come to office. Some of us opposed it when the Kenyans refused to be part of AMISOM. But now that is part of AMISOM and locals are leading and taking ownership, we find nothing to object to.
  9. A much needed clarification from the president. Like we said yesterday we like president's evolved position toward Kismayo admin and the charcoal issue .
  10. This is a great news Ayoub. I am not sure if you welcomed as many Somalis did
  11. ^^Awoowe , lets hope the leadership in Mogadishu does not make the same mistakes we've been making last twenty years. How is everything down there, in your neck of the woods?
  12. Only time will tell. But it does not bode well for the opponents of Kismayo project when Ethiopia is taking the same stance President Hassan should distance himself from Ethiopia .
  13. walaalkis;889086 wrote: maxaa ethiopia kaso qaleysiiyey bal meeshan This is a great question indeed? The thing is Ethiopia has always been opposed to the resurgence of south Somalia. During the Arta period , Ethiopia aborted an effort led by Abdullaahi Yusuf to establish a new federal state in the south, with Kismayo being the capital. In that effort, the vision was to include Bay and Bakool regions into the new state. Ethiopia used Adan Saransoor , Indhacadde and Hiiraale to abort the whole thing. The question is whom will Ethiopia use this time to sabotage the Jubba project? This time however Ethiopia does no longer enjoy the diplomatic support with respect to Somalia's direction.
  14. We appreciate the Turkish government and people for their support .
  15. The name of the party is Horseed, calaamaddiisuna waa geed ka gobka aha

  17. Our secession brothers made some investment in our government in the hope to influence our politics They are finding out , they are day late and dollar short , as the sayings goes
  18. Rahima, I am not as pessimistic. In fact , I think the new president with the right counsel can take Somalia forward , and make some distance between her and the long , dark civil war years. I was taken aback by his insistence on Kismayo. But things seem to be moving forward , and he is quietly moving back from his earlier stance on this matter. We have invested in this caravan to let be distracted ...we will speak out and up whenever we sense our leadership deviated from the greater national priorities ...
  19. The 'GOB' tree as a symbol is quite creative , fil yabas wal akhdar , Imam Faroole's (waa tii ngonge gee) authority is forever relevant
  20. Che is being sarcastic , and a bit silly here. President Hassan has realized that this project is deeply popular with the locals , and no one can demagogue to get in the way of the genuine desires of Kismayo people. The news I am getting today is better than the one I had received few days ago . Professor Abtigiis , could you validate the good news ? That the president is now supportive of the Jubba initiative? And that my big foot brothers are on their way to claim the throne of Kismayo (this one is a joke waryaaya)?
