  3. ^ Hey genius, no one suspended anything, so get your head out of you know where. Puntland remains a signatory to the charter that established the Somali federal Government which President Culosow currently leads. All President Faroole has said was, unless Culusow reverses the changes he has made to the Federal constitution then Puntland will NOT be bound by that altered constitution for it isn't a document that it has ratified and agreed to obey. So no need to complicate simple words.
  4. You, Dr.Osman, are both a gentleman and scholar. And I have greatly enjoyed your take on Faroole's State Of The State Address on the fifteenth anniversary of the formation of the Puntland State Of Somalia. With that said, Dr, don't you think all the progress his been touting is a little too late and too little.?! A good example of this is the democratization process which he swore to embark upon when he first took office 4 yrs ago, but just when his tenure was about to run out, he started hustling and bustling, asking for term extensions and whatnot, just to fulfill this over due promise. I believe President Faroole deserves the utmost criticism for this abject failure. He thought he could pull a fast one on the people, but thankfully he has been found wanting. Secondly on the issue of SSC, he is a fool who thinks he can also make fools out of the people of Puntland. No need for him to be two faced about this issue. If he is serious about tackling the SSC issue, the only option left to him now is to support the newly formed Khaatumo State 100% and help make it a more viable federal state. Personally, these two issues were important to me in that speech and the rest of those shenanigans about Culusow and the anarchists of Mogadishu are nothing more than a smoke screen intended to distract us from his failures during his tenure as Puntland's Head Of State..
  5. What do you Somalis have to hide? Just embrace the surveillance!
  6. ^ Tee baad ka hadlaysaa Xaaji? Waayo saan umalaynayo tan aad ka hadlaysid waa mid aan meelnah ku kala maqnayn... Walaale, Xaaji, waxaad moodaa thread-kaan inuu dhiigkar kugu riday ee bal isyara daji, arimahaan waa iska xagxagasho soomaaliyeed!
  7. Tarzan always makes this sort of speeches every time his mayoral office is in jeopardy. Just give him a few weeks and he will apologize to the mooriyaans of Xamar, just as he did a few months ago when he made that speech about returning the stolen properties in Mogadishu to their rightful owners. Odeyga, must be fending off some guys who want his seat, that is all...
  8. ^ That is a very bad thing to do and will only cause further trouble in the coming election. We cannot allow votes to be cast by people who have formed their own independent state. While I cannot begrudge President Faroole for being a politician and wanting to secure a second term, I think he should NOT be allowed to do so. Most of SSC issims back Khaatumo and have withdrawn their confidence from Puntland. I think we should respect that, and Faroole should not be allowed to use the votes of SSC issims. That also means those politicians from SSC who currently serve in the Puntland administration should pack their bags and go work for their issims and their new Khaatumo State.
  9. ^ Dr.Osman, xumaanta jooji waryaa! These serious issues should NOT be used to score petty my enclave is better your enclave argument. If you do that, you are doing a disservice to all the people of Somalia wherever they may live. The intent of these discussions is to highlight the problem and the lack of adequate justice only, so pipe down just a tad bit!
  10. ^ Qorax soo baxday, saccabo la guma qarin karo... You said what you said for all the gallery to see, and there's no point in trying to save face now. Tallaabo, qawdhanyada macquulka ah, oo cagliga u saaxiibka ah, inaad ka mid ahayd baan ku mooday laakin, it wasn't meant to be:D it baffles the mind that you'd distinguish between women in camps of the displaced, as opposed to those women roaming the streets of somaliland. So with that disgusting mentality, the rape of any woman in somaliland is fairgame as long as said women does not live in a "refugee" camp, right? Caqli saliid macsaro waaxid!
  12. Tallaabo;971449 wrote: Saaxiib the problems of gangs and rape in Somaliland is out in the open and is being documented, analysed, and dealt with thanks to our increasingly progressive and sophisticated civil society and government institutions. No one in his or her right mind would say similar things do not take place in Puntland and elsewhere in the world, but that is where the similarities between Puntland and Somaliland end. In Somaliland we talk about our problems openly and loudly and as a result usually find effective solutions to address them but you guys have a primitive culture of sweeping them under the carpet hoping it goes away or stays there. What you wrote is a whole load of rubbish...even though I will cut you some slack and give you credit for finally acknowledging that pedophilia is indeed a pervasive problem in your neck of the woods, but unfortunately you still want to sugarcoat the problem by making cheap statements like "the problem is being documented and being dealt with by the so-called progressive and sophisticated society", yet we don't see anyone in somaliland that has been brought before a court of law and where such crimes have been punished. In fact, the opposite is taking place, where the government is doing its very best to pretend that this is a non-issue. There's a saying that goes some where along the lines of, "put up or shut up!". Marka, the government of somaliland should show us that they indeed take this problem seriously by simply prosecuting the men who commit these hedeous crimes, instead of relying on the so-called "sophistication" of your society!

  14. ^ Oh, Xaaji, why do you sound so bitter? Is it the blunt straightforwardness of my rebuttal that has humiliated you? I don't know why my mentioning the unfortunate epidemic taking place on Hargaysa streets would upset you so, Xaaji-- After all, it is indeed a serious problem which requires immediate attention from the Silanyo administration. Or could it be something else that pains you so? Like the visible successes of the Puntland Marine forces against the piracy problem, which of late, has become almost negligible for fewer incidences of piracy are being reported off the Puntland coastline each year thanks to the robust efforts of Mudane Faroole's administration. I only wish the same could be said of Silanyo regarding the shameful predicament you face in your neck of the woods.

Odey, stop chuckling and tell us, where do you stand on this issue-- do you prefer our ancestral clan names or would you put yourself at the mercy of the "creativity" of solers?
  18. nuune;971318 wrote: You are taking it to another level yaa Tilmook,, MMA this and MMA that, clan names be it creative way or otherwise should not be posted in the first place, link the story to websites that published the news then it can be discussed here, but having a full clan discussion where names such as gangister and so on are used to refer to some clans is not worthy of discussion and kills the whole value of the site!. Saaxiib, if someone refers to a clan as gangster, pirate, sodomlander, digir & muufo e.t.c, its because that same person is forbidden to mention the god give name of said clan he is talking about, which is why I believe this bad policy is deliberately giving people an excuse to insult clans. If on the other hand we were allowed to use the god given name of our clans, then we would not need to resort to this sort name calling, which am sure was the furthest thing the owners of Sol had in mind when they first set up those rules. Personally if anyone wants to refer to my clan as part of adiscussion about politics, I believe such a person should be able to do so as long as his or her intent isn't about insulting my clan. See I have nothing to hide, my clan is referred to as pirates on this forum(), but I think it would be better if anyone wants to use it in a discussion they should instead use the ** designation, which is way nicer and more authentic than the pirate designation:D With that in mind, I hope I can convince the admin to permit clan names as long as it used in context, not for the heck of abusing someone or a group of people. That's my $0.02...
  19. Horta, why does the so-called moderator of this forum delete all the threads where we try to discuss the current events taking place in the shabeelooyin? I believe this is tantamount to stassi style censorship. Granted the conflict in the shabeelooyin is between two different clans, and the rules of this site say clan names should be avoided which I believe is a misguided policy to begin with, but most of us do our best not to directly mention the names of clans but that does not mean we won't refer to these clans in other more creative means, which am sure the rules do not disapprove of. Saaxiibyaal, Somali politics is clan politics and if we cannot talk of Somali politics openly and freely then what is the point of this section of Sol? Clans will always exist and just because MMA wishes they did not does not mean he can wish them away. Marka, I urge the admin to advise this so- called moderator of his to let us discuss the current affairs of Somalia without such blatant harassment and abuse of authority. As users of this forum, we too have rights. This isnt MMA's personal bedroom and it's about time we took our grievance to the higher ups of Sol. If you agree with me, please sign this petition so that we may limit this guy's impunity on our forum.

You are simplifying the issue here. The mooriyaans from Galgaduud are occupiers who are forcibly holding onto properties and farms that do no belong to them. Am not here talking of the small hag communities that have always lived in the Shabeelooyin here, what am talking about is the occupiers from dhuusamareeb and guriceel. And to add insult to injury, what's even worse is that these mooriyaans from Galgaduud want to be the leaders of the Shabeelada dhexe like it's theirs. With the federalization of Somalia, it's only normal for the true indigenous and majority people of Shabelooyinka to be the leaders of the provinces. Zack, this issue is exactly like the problems Barre Hiraale from Galgaduud was trying to cause down their. While Bare Hiraale share a clan with the Gedo folks, he is nonetheless not a native their and has no business being in the government there. While there are some hag people who've lived in the shabeelooyinka for ages, this does not include the mooriyaans from Galgaduud and Indha Cade and Goobaale have no business trying to be leaders of Shabeelooyinka. Saaxiibyaal, at the end of the day, every Somali has his own territory and its best every Somali goes back to his tuulooyin.
  25. Kick the mooriyaans from Galguduud out!
