this is my third year, and my GPA isn't moving, but do you guys think if I make all good scores graduate school will overlook first year GPA stunt?

Maybe Somali men are so skinny because the women are eating all their food!
-
Use Henna (natural)to make hair thicker.

It's true most African American guys especially like a white women. This is due to Black families since their migration to the North from the rural south and how their family structure was reorganized to become more matriarical(female-headed) than mainstream America which is most White and patriarchal(male-headed). Black females especially those college educated ones with middle-income salaries often feel hard to find a successful black male, since most black males in this country don't really go to college, and most of them don't have jobs because black females get hired more than black males. With no other choice the black female ends up hooking up with a white male, despite Black women's preference for Black males. However, Black males tend to go with white women, especially athletes. Asian women tend to marry white guys more, and Asian men and Black women are the only ones left. Asian men are not preferred in this society because of streotypes of "not having enough". The Black female is streotyped as being "unattractive" with a big nose, and nappy hair and basically "un-caucasian" features. What is next, maybe Asian males and African American females should hook up?

Rahima, Avocado is a good idea! I used to cut my hair alot too. Dawaco and Hibo you guys are the first I met who don't want long hair. lol, I guess my hair doesn't grow fast all the time, it grows sometimes, and it doesn't grow at other times.
-
Does anyone have some "secrets" to growing hair faster. I don't relax, color, blow dry or flat iron my hair, yet these days its just not moving. Share your hair tips here girls for growing hair. I notice alot of Somali girls that don't need to relax their hair with "jilic" hair use it, I don't get it, my hair is wavy and thick not really nappy but I have done almost everything, does anyone have natural products that are good?
-
Hibo thnks for the "fashion tips" macaanto, but I beg to differ, I rather wear the low cut jeans "in shape" than to fake it. Anyhow, loooooooooooooool Harvard-mafia, you made me fall off my chair laughing at that last comment. I know! I hate those 'made-in kenya' pants, it's hideous, and pleaseeee can they stop wearing "fubu" with those pants because Fubu is soooooo 1998!

lol, I got my diets all mixed up.I guess I'm not doing the low carb thing, I'm cutting my meat intake, and eating more soup!Technically, I'm kinda "fasting" but not really, lol

7. Use daddy as a weapon. Tell them about his gun collection, his quick trigger finger, and his affection for his Little Princess. Girl, that is some White girl stuff. Somali girls don't act that way!!!!!!

looooooooooooooooool Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone here. I'm a girl btw. Anyways I sincerely posted this because I keep seeing fat somali women, and I wanted to increase the awareness. Hadaad, Alot of Somalis back home even in the old days didn't like fat. Anyways, I'm not advocating anorexia either, just stop eating too much baasto, bariis, iyo hilib everyday!! Plus, xalwa...ohh that is fattening. I want to ask, is anyone here on a special diet, that is working? I'm trying a low carb, soup diet, has anyone tried that before?
-
Everyday, all the Somali women I see are fat? I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but this is unhealthy for our sisters. We need to start eating healthier, and exercising more. We need to stop eating baasto with ranch dressing, and stop eating too much meat. I myself am just got on the "low carb" diet, and I can't take it anymore, but I'm trying to slim down, as I have gained a little cushion lately. Anyways, I just noticed all the SOmali women that walk by me are fat, please guys let's stop eating too much.

Wow, must you capitalize everything!!! Anyways, I think you have the case of "hating". You see Somali women in Somalia didn't have a life, most of them stayed home while the guy went to school to get educated. In Somalia, girls weren't liked very much. In fact, Somali girls back home didn't really have any self-esteem, they would hide when eating by covering their faces with gabasaar. In SOmalia it was the girls job to clean her brothers room , cook his food, and iron his clothes(unfair!!), why couldn't the mom tell the brother to cook and wash his clothes for his own self? Also, guys were trained to became "ulema" and gain abundant islamic knowlege other than Quran, but most girls were just taught Quran and some hadiths. I think in Somalia, Islam really got mixed with Culture, where the "man" is seen as all that! If a girl doesn't wears a skirt showing her ankle everyone starts bashing her, but if a Somali guy wears shorts showing his knees(forbidenn in Islam) no says anything. Why must the girls get all the blame? Why? Haven't we done enough cooking, and child-rearing? Now, I find it interesting that the guys wear the latest brand clothes while the wind blows their hair, and the girls are required to wear the huge jilbab( oh, I know it's required by our Deen, ) but shouldn't the guys also wear their Islamic gear too? I'm not a feminist at all. I am a muslim woman, and I am obligated to address the wrongs I see. Also, Boqorka, I'm surprised you didn't talk about all the "fake thug wannabes" Somali guys who have no role models but 0.50$ (50 cents). Why aren't there more Somali guys they can look up to ? Why don't you talk about the "qhad problem" affecting our men! No, you chose to blame the girls, because they are a easier target. Sure, some girls need help, but they are not to blame, I blame their parents who aren't talking with their young girls, who are always screaming at them to wear a hijab but not telling them why they should do so. It's sad really. So before you start blaming the 'naago' look at yourself, my "boqorka".

Muslimyouth, Allah knows, but I mean they should burn in Hell for bashing Islam and the Prophet of Allah.Allah can guide. Also, All arab leaders became leaders by European powers, so technically they are "puppets". I find it hypocritical that Bush calls them "undemocractic" when he supports these regimes monetarily.

Salaams, I wanted to know if anyone here knows how to design websites. I need your help, if you can please e-mail me or let me know anyone who lives in the Twin Cities. Thanks

Salaamu alaykum, I heard so many wonderful things about Shaykh Ali Al-timmi. I know he was a wonderful scholar and muslim. This is so sad that this government is arresting every muslim person who is speaking the message of Islam and who condemns acts of terrorism by states on defenseless people. This is one of their strategy to intimidate and silence all muslims to arrest every muslim person young or old, boy or girl on fabricated lies. Insha'Allah I heard Allah tests those he loves and those with high imans in this dunya, where in Akhirah they will taste the sweetness of jannah and forget they ever faced hardships in this dunya. May Allah help our brothers and sisters in Islam all over the world who are suffering at the enemies of Islam hands. Ameen. The future belongs to Islam!
