Asalamu Alaykum, Well i looked around, and i thought there was a hadith that talked about make-up being haram, but sad to say, but i couldn't find one; but i did however, find a qu'ran source. If you guys read surat NUR, you will see what i am talking about. It says that women should not beautify themselves when they are going outside, but should, however, beautify themselves for their husbands, brothers, and father ( nothing sexual meant be the brother and father thing....). And although its true that the PROPHET did wear eye liner, that doesn't give precedence for women to wear it aswell. I mean the guy also grew a beard, how come y'all ain't using that as an excue to grow one yourselfs. But whatever, i did my part in infroming you guys on the issue, take it as you wish!!!!!!

i don't know why u are asking if age doesn't make a difference!!!! Just like skin colour, age too has become a very relevant point; but i totally agree with you, age shouldn't matter, but instead how well- knowledged the person is. He is using sex as a tool to better himself and people like you are furthering his cause by actually calling his garbage " music". ok please tell me that u guys know that wearing make-up is haram!!!!! I mean surely ur parents must have informed you about that part of the religion!!! Some of you guys might say there is nothing wrong with wearing make-up, but if truth be told its totally haram. It changes your whole appearance; now don’t sit there and tell me it doesn’t, cuz if it didn’t there wouldn’t be a reason for wearing it in the first place. It is written in the that you’re not suppose to wear it along with wearing perfumes, shoes that make noises ( ie. heels), PANTS, and etc. I don’t know the hadith, or at least which it is, but my mom does and when she comes back I will give you guys the exact references. I doubt the people who are talking about make-up actually, and I mean actually wear a hijab. That’s what’s wrong with Somalis these days: you hardly ever see them acting/dressing like Muslims and that goes both ways ( both females and males)!!!!! God help you all!!!!

on an Island eh...well i'll probably take someone for company sake, and in case of an emergency. Africans werent even Muslim up until the Islamic Empire. Most African civilizations were still worshipping their little idols, when the Ottoman Empire got established thats when all the conversions happened; thats when great Islamic African civilization came out such as the Mali Empire with Mansa Musa. Anyways i think your being too general here ( diamond_princess) to say that Africans invented math and science. I mean there are so many different maths and sciences, and i don't really remember any of them being invented by "africans". I mean we usually credit the Arabs, the Greeks and the ROmans, i never really heard of the Africans and their many inventions of math and science!!!!

Ok i'm not sure but this is what i know to be true...... you see Somalia has always existed, back in the ancient times it was called Punt. I don't know if any of you guys know anything about ancient civilizations, but in the Egyptian civilization there was this Queen named Hatsh. She sent these specuator to the Land of the Punt to see what was out there in the sense of resources. When they got there they found a small group of black people living in the area ( of course!!), but they also found that the country was rich in raw materials. Anyways when the Islamic Empire was expanding some of the Persian people camed to Somalia to make them into Muslim, which i think explains why some SOmalis are lighter than other. I personally don't consider myself black, i'm more of a " brown" girl. What i'm trying to say is everyone from Africa isn't neccesarily black, some are white, brown....etc. Anyways why should we all classify ourselves with something so negative. The reason why i consider myself brown is because of all the negative connotation that goes along with being " black". I mean the "black" people struggled through slavery, but where does that put us East Africans, i mean we weren't invovled in the slave trade, should we consider ourselves something we're not??? But i do, however, agree with the person avove when they said Somali is an African country. True say, we are African, but not for long; it seems Somalia will be breaking off from the continent of Africa pretty soon because of the shifting of the plates underneath the Earth!!!
