Is spamming the boards with pictures not against the rules of SOL?

^^^ Amiin. They aren’t that strong nor do they have enough men-power, but they are still standing firmly. They have a reason to fight for, Ethiopians don’t know what they are fighting for.

A full scale war has erupted in Mogadishu today! The Ethiopian occupation army is foolishly sucked in a dirty house to house urban warfare which they probably can never win. Despite their superior fire power and sheer numbers, the Abyssinian forces are pinned down in their strongholds which look like their graves. The insurgent forces siege all enemy positions, cutting supply lines and preventing their movement. Out of desperation, the Ethiopians are reduced to frantic, incessant artillery bombing on an already battered city. This forces the city’s estimated two million inhabitants out of their homes, creating a huge sprawling make- shift camps around Mogadishu. With the majority of the population out of city, the two fighting camps are engaged in a suicidal entrenched confrontation. Obsessed by their previous victories in the open fields, the Ethiopians must have grossly miscalculated their chances in a house to house urban engagement. They may turn Mogadishu into a huge archealogical site for future historian generations, but may not break the will and spirit of the fiercely patriotic Somali people. “We can not let Mogadishu burn” said prime minister Meles Zanawi of Ethiopia, a day after his troops entered the capital city of Somalia. Analysts knew the connotation behind this sinister remark. It meant we have been given the golden chance to demolish it and we are going to do just that. The irony here is that Zanawi himself, gets into a quagmire by overstaying in Somalia, particularly the capital which is the pride of the country and symbol of independence. His unwarranted persistence to stay longer in Somalia, is the strength of the insurgents. It unites the nation and galvanises into a common national defence struggle. His troops, the poor conscripts, pay the price for his foolhardy military adventures. The insurgents are gathering momentum and coming from all parts of the country to defend their motherland from a bitter and historical enemy. The horn conflict can escalate into another Iraq, if the trend continue this way and no third party intervenes in time. Prime minister meles Zanawi, must be pressured by the international community to withdraw from Somalia before it is too late. With the Ethiopians out, the Somalis can convene a peace conference arranged and managed by a third impartial party like the United Nations or Europe. Only by the timely intervention of the United Nations and Europe, can a potentially explosive situation in the horn of Africa be avoided. America is seen as partial and prejudiced and can not mediate the horn conflict. Since he can not tame Mogadsihu, Zanawi must pull out or risk a full scale war with terrible backlash. By doing so, a costly confrontation can be averted. It will also give Somalia a chance to reconcile and rebuild. http://www.hiiraan.com/op2/2007/apr/mogadishu_stands_firm.aspx

Thanks nur. Islam is being bashed because some Muslim men and most Arab men hit their women and they say Islam allows them to do so. It’s hard to explain that to a non-muslim woman, the fact that Islam actually allows husbands to lay a hand on their wives.

Quick Question. Abdullahi means “Slave of Allah” and not God. Mohammed’s father was named Abdullahi, he died before Mohammed was born and he wasn’t a Muslim. So how did his name came to be Abdullahi “Slave of Allah”

Geel-Jira So thousands of civilians are dying from an unknown disease?

Originally posted by General Duke: Mystic, I do not think the civilains need encouragement to leave, temporarily while the battles are on going. quote: Prof Geedi "Dadweynaha waxaan u sheegaayaa iney isaga baxaan meelaha ay muqaawamada ay joogaa" wareysi meelo badan taabanaayo" Again the TFG warns the population to be vigilant and not allow the armed groups to hide behind them. Indiscriminately shelling their homes is a threat which they took seriously. The armed troops are knocking on the doors of the Ethiopian bases, while they make no movement and only shell away. They dire not to make any infantry movement.

Duke... Flattening Mogadishu is the major goal then…. Your words are that which hold no ground. There are thousands of innocent civilians dead which could refute your adolescent claims.

President PM Geedi operations will continue..

Does he ever brush his teeth…. -
Duke, Ethiopians are forcefully evicting the civilians. With all the thousands of civilians massacred. It's quite clear that the civilians are the main target practice. Trying to create fear in their hearts and souls, a tactic Meles uses.

Cabdullaahi Yuusuf's Government is not a Government of Scope.

Originally posted by Violet: Lol. We're talking about clans/Somalis here, so of course the latter. Most clans are represented by uneducated crooks, but hey they are the big-dogs, so in order for the TFG to survive they have to satisfy them. Look at the recent appointment of the chief-of-police. What could be the reasoning behind his appointment? Satisfying his clan and buying their support. There's no place for 'trust' or 'honesty' in politics. The biggest dogs were chased out of Mogadishu. After that we saw some sense of security and peace rematerializing in Mogadishu again. Survive to do what? Create a sullied African nation which watches it’s people die of treatable diseases and preventable hunger? A government is to gratify its people as self-regulating individuals rather than classify them in clans. They have to concentrate on the people as individuals who are ominously demanding basic necessities rather than clans who are represented by simpletons’ individuals who were appointed by the TFG. This is more than politics. It’s our nation and people which are at stake. Not the dirty politics played by scoundrel hombres. If the TFG continues to do this, it will elucidate that they are not concerned about the people which they were supposed to provide for. The TFG is indeed incompetent and corrupt, but isn't that common in African politics? That doesn’t justify anything Violet, not a thing. -

What power and influence will that be, that of the Ethiopian militia? Or that each clan is represented by a dimwitted crook? The TFG is making a mockery out of itself. -

To survive you need to gain the people’s trust, not their blinded loyalty based on deceives qabilism. -
Leave Somalia or face all-out war, Ethiopia told
Wisdom_Seeker replied to -Nomadique-'s topic in Politics
Violet There is a probability that we Somalis could establish a representative government, when and only when Ethiopian forces leave Somali and Warlords and besmirched individuals are ousted for good. Don’t delude yourself dear, Somalis had managed to secure, pacify and tame Mogadishu on their own, without the military assistance of any foreign country for six months. There is no doubt in my mind that we could make it work again, on our own, for the interest and benefit of our people and country. -
I highly doubt that, most of them reside in sheer inanity and don’t even know what they are arguing for or against.
