I'm an 18-year old high school student I took most of my time in anarchy except six months of reliable security and free from worry. Now we are in the hands Ethiopia. My mother suggested to me to stop going to school until the security comes. That is great problem because I'll miss some of my last class lessons. I request the international community to look the new colonial period which is damaging my future. Tahliil Olaad Hassan, Mogadishu Well that speaks for itself. Need i say more about the reality of Mogadishu Today?

The harrasment of 2 generation Oromos in Somalia.
Wisdom_Seeker replied to Ahmed_Guree's topic in Politics
I heard that they were being killed and forced out of their homes. Shame, they have left Ethiopia, running from the blood-thirst raw meat eating scavengers to find safely in Somalia and now those who they were running from came knocking on their doors. -
Duke Why are you so mesmerized in what the ICU believed? There is a difference between assuming that your allies support you completely and factually knowing that you have the full-support of your allies. The ICU made a mistake, a deadly one. Mistakes are made so we could learn from them. Let them learn from their mistakes. Care to give me a cite which shows how many people live in those regions.

Tukaale There is a difference between supporting a group and having faith in a group. The article is waiting, hoping and having some faith that the TFG will soon start serving its people and not the men in Addis Ababa or Washington D.C. To some extend i have faith that the TFG may bring some stability of some sort to Somalia, nevertheless i don’t support them for they aren’t men i would generally consider patriotic leaders. Just traitorous, self-centered individuals.

The day they have called their own blood and flesh terrorist was the day they have seized to exist as leaders who could have led us out from darkness and into light.

^^^Both remarks are incorect, Mogadishu is like Baidoa, bigger yes the task more difficult but the TFG is much stronger than before and has learned allot from the warlords, clan courts and other groups since moving to Baidoa. Your opinion on what is correct and what isn’t is insignificant to me. Baidio isn’t the capital city of Somalia. The TFG has to deal with Islamic militia hiding in Mogadishu, violent protests, and getting the full support of the residents of Mogadishu and not only their clan leaders, none of those dilemmas faced the TFG while they were stationed in Baidio. It appears like they have learned little so far, other than knowing how to be sufficient liars. Foreigners have been involved all the time, from Eritrea to the foreign master minds pushing the strings within the courts umbrella. The fact that all Somali's par a few self interest groups are happy with the TFG higlights it has great support specially amongst the disadvantaged unarmed clans of the fertile south. Thus one does not hear any demonstrations in the central regions, Marka, Barava, Baidoa, Bakool region, or the Lower Shabbele. Thus your argument is the majority of Somali's live in one or two districts of Mogadishu.. Eritrea’s involvement isn’t one which would have any impact on Somalia as a nation. However foreign countries such as Ethiopia and US are the ones which could determine the fate of the Somalia nation. Two million people live in Mogadishu, i don’t know how many live in those other regions but they are regions which are under populated. You should be focused on Mogadishu, no peace in Mogadishu means there is hardly any peace in the nation.

Those $$$ are somewhere deep into Gedi and Yusuf's pockets. They should concentrate on social needs before they put all their focus on building a military which won’t have enough basic military equipment to last a year.

Well said Castro, you have hit the nail on the head. What reasons are there that could explain why Somalis are supporting different groups who are deceiving Somalis to kill and hate each other further. The only rational reason I could think about is desperation, money speaks and it could easily manipulate a man who doesn’t live a life which satisfies him or meets basic human needs. Many of our people today are jobless, uneducated and are living in poverty. People in such conditions could easily be preyed upon. It is like an intelligent person influencing a kid to do something he won’t normally do, and his reward will be a piece of candy. Out of ignorance and the need to obtain money so they could support themselves or families our people today have sold each other to their enemies.
-
^^^ Half-truth agreements are the only thing Somalis are known for. Mogadishu is not baidio. Please don’t compare the two together. A government who depends on foreign troops to bring law and order and sustain its existence proves that the majority of the Somalis don't support of such a government.

Duke I doubt that they symbolize their clans or militias, for the mere fact that they have been chased out by some of their clan members and abandoned by their militias and were brought back by the Government. The TFGoons are the warlords, consulting with other warlords/terrorists who oppose them is in their best interest. I am not willing to support a government which was formed in a foreign country, who has shown that they are the least bit interested in protecting the Somalis from outside forces and are mere puppets. My dignity and pride as a Somali refuses to accept this warlord government as a government that represents me or any rational Somali.

Castro First, it is heartbreaking. Second the fact that he fled from Baidoa, the city were the warlord government was positioned until a month ago demonstrates that the government hasn’t provided any sort of assists to the residents of Baidoa, but was able to inflict profound ordeal on thier lives. Third I am glad that he is still optimistic about the future, may he live to see his wish come true one day.

It took Ethiopia and America to defeat them. They have put up a good fight, May those who died rest in peace.

Hey castro, Duke said Xamar is fairly safe, didn't you see the soccer match

Are we talking about the same warlords who were paid by the Americans to hunt down poor innocent sheiks? If they weren’t “considered necessary”, the warlord government would have discharged them a long time ago, but we all know that negotiating with them was the first thing the warlord government was doing. I am amazed that these animals which should be caged have managed to agree on something. They were the same ones that were beating each other with canes and chairs in Nairobi, just few years ago. You can’t deem that they have civilized in such a short among of time. Sane people don’t support a Warlord government. That is worse than supporting a certain warlord.

Who will hold a meeting where an agreement to disarm is made but won’t mention when the disarmament will begin? That is if they have a set date to start disarming. Somalis, they can never sit and completely cover one subject.
-
When will the disarmament start?

President Abdullahi Yusuf meets with UNDP representative!
Wisdom_Seeker replied to Fiqikhayre's topic in Politics
Rich individuals in Saudi Arabia are the main supporters of the ICU. I doubt their government royalty could say that out loud. As for those countries you mentioned, they don’t differ from Djibouti, a weak country which is easily command by American intelligence. I see you want Somalia to be the same as those countries. LOL, every ounce of oil you drill-out will be exported to America, Somalia is in the stone ages, and we don’t have cars that run on Oil. -

I never knew America being involved in Somalia affairs could be seen as the greater good. Tell that to Iraq, they have destabilized and destroyed a whole country just because of Saddam and non-existing WMD. They will send Somalia further back into the stone ages. Learn how to makes utensils which are fully made of stone. You may need it one day. -
Castro Chomsky is a master-piece. I only read half of Rogue States, the book is still around. I never wanted to finish it for some odd reason. Insha’allah one day I will pick it up and finish reading it. Dye exemplifies how things are running in America and by whom, their connections, starting from family dynasties such as Rockefeller (oil), Ford (cars), Walton (Walgreen)–to the ones who have climbed up the ladder to the top. Out of the 50 wealthiest individuals in American 5 of them are Reer Walton These individuals who occupy high institutional positions possess power whether they act directly to influence particular decisions or not. Xoog lol sxb don't let the name fool you

Castro if you like Chomsky, you are going to love Dye. Dye concentrates mainly on eternal politic of America, the elites, who run’s America, corporations, and power shared in society. Honestly I am a complete fan of Thomas R Dye, then maybe Chomsky. Dye Website

Lol, take your little poem to the poem section. I enjoy reading BOB’s poems the brother is heavenly gifted, I can’t say the same about you thou. Reap, deep, , sheep, creep, leap, cheep, steep blaaah blaaah blaaah. -
The names that are listed on the image illustrates that America is ran by the elites who control the most powerful institutions in America. A few thousand individuals out of 281 million Americans decide about war and peace, wages and prices, consumption and investment, employment and production, law and justice, taxes and benefits, education and learning, health and welfare, advertising and communication, life and leisure. In an intricate developed civilization power is concentrated in larger institutions, corporations, banks, insurance companies, media empires, the prestigious law firms, powerful lobbyists, the large investment house, the foundations, the universities and the private policy planning organization. The people who work for the congress, white house and Washington bureaucracy are all in a way connect with these institutions. I actually found out that inside the Boardroom at Citigroup the largest Bank in America President Gerald R. Ford was the Advisory Director. The chair man and CEO of Citigroup is the same one that serves on the Board of Directors of AT&T and Du Pont, the mufos are all in together, hiding behind the tie and suit.
