Oh how I love to seeing Somalis being on the defensive for the sake of being defensive! Sherban, in the Somali culture, the way we were brought up is that such topics were not open for discussion...It is xaraam; therefore there is nothing to talk about...Just like being a non-Muslim Somali was also almost never talked about...And then there are those people who when growing up were taught to talk about anything and everything openly, mainly those in the West, such as yourself...So excuse my fellow Somalis for not being as openly as you thought they'd be to discuss such issue...We feel it is wrong, so basically there's nothing to talk about...
