You saw the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" on the big screen. -I took my little sister and brother...That's my story and I am sticking to it... 52. You remember Alf, the lil furry brown alien from Melmac. -Hey, I still see him in those 10-10- commercials...Seems like I am the only one getting older, I swear he didn't change a bit...lol 53. You remember New Kids on the Block when they were cool. -Ohh yeah, whateva happened to them... 54. You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By the Bell," the ORIGINAL class. -Zack, Kelly, Lisa, Screech, need I say more...
  2. Silent_Sis, they better log on and see all of our efforts and how much we missed them... Waraada is yeelyeelka naga dhaafa hee intaan ka badan manituugi karee...Hay... In other words, I missed both of you...Like they say "Meel lagaa jecel yahay hadaa ka tagtid, meel lagaa neceb yahay aa aadee..."
  3. Zakariye, I don't think you understood my point...When I said turn to the system, I didn't mean arrest them...I ment, turn to the system as is in go to family court and make him pay for the child support...In which case if he was to ever work, they would automatically deduct the child support money from his pay check...I would never advise anyone to arrest an innocent person, let alone the father of the woman's children...Walee maskaxdaade meelkale eeka fikiroysaa... If he ain't willing to pay volunteerly, the system will make him pay, which is very sad...Cuz any man not willing to support his own flesh and blood, ain't a real MAN...
  4. Darman, soo dhowoow...I would've definately said Welcome, but didn't know you were in town...Well I hope you're enjoying your stay...
  5. We can make a million excuses why they don't pay child support...But the fact still remains they don't pay...There's always an excuse why they can't afford to support their children...When in fact, when he was married to the mother he was the Man of the house and provided for his children and wive... I am not talking about the older generation, I am talking about the younger generation, the ones in thier 20's, 30's, and 40's...It just seems that when most men divorce their children with their mothers...And that just isn't fair...It is alwayz the mother who struggles with the children, while the father is enjoying life as a single man... I would definately encourage any single mother who isn't getting any support from the fathers, to turn to the system and make them pay, whether they like it or not...
  6. I am not much of a politics person, in fact I believe this is my first time posting... N'way, I don't see why all Somalis can't be proud of one another...If one part is doing well and compared to another part of the country that isn't doin' so well, we're so quick to jump to being negative, instead of being supportive...We never seem to learn from the past...And seems like we're still living in the past... Well, I for one am proud of Puntland and how well it is doing, whether it is thier life style, economy, etc...I think we came a long way, and are doing pretty good...I just hope we keep on growing... Therefore Bosaso and Puntland in general has a higher standard of living then Hargeisa and 'Somaliland'. Don't get me wrong, but isn't Bosaso in Puntland; and Hargeisa in Somaliland...
  7. It is nice to see such a thing being done to support the community...But I have one big question...Who's organizing this event? Cuz there are some events that I don't even bother with, when certain ppl are organizing it...The reason being is that it always turns out wack...And I wouldn't want to waste $40, it they are the organizers or promoters... Sorry, no bun intended...
  8. Naa Ameenaaaay kumee? Xageebaad joogtaa? Ha igu qasbin itaan Weston Iyo Lawrence istaago in aan ku baafiyo... War korontadaa naga maqneed labadaan bari...Soomaaliya leeba ixasuusiyeen... N'way, I'll stick to my original offer, only if you provide the baby lotion, you know...lol... Let me know when you're coming through...Bal Barwaaqana aan wax kuugu sii dhiibee...lol... MMA, war ma'adaa qarsaday Ameenah...
  9. No, I would NOT ask my husband-to-be to get tested... 1. If I am still in a position to doubt his health, I wouldn't be with him... 2. If I know his history, and know him well, and trust him, I'll put faith in God... 3. If I have any reason to ask him to get checked, I would just leave (obviously, there's a lack of trust there to begin with) I just can't picture anyone asking their future husband or wive to get tested...Not only is that disrespectful, it is also shows a lack of trust...And believe me you don't want to be in that position when you still have doubts about his/her health... It is very sad to see so many of us sayin "Yea we'll ask him/her to get tested"...If you're at the level of becoming a husband and wive, wouldn't you say you too came a long way, been through alot together, know each other very well, trust each other, would die for each other, and most of all love one another...So if you have all of that, I don't see how one could ask his/her future husband/wive to get tested...
  10. Congrats to Lovely...Hope you have a long lasting luv and never ending happiness with your future hubby...May God bless you two with beautiful, healthy children... Welcome to the club...
  11. Sinlent_sis, isn't HATE such a big word...Why hate all of us...Sometimes it is nice to meet ppl who have diff interests, views, and hobbies than you...That way you can learn from them...Imagine if everyone was just like you, then you'll have nothing to look forward to, nothing to learn from others, no life, cuz everyone is like you...So sometimes being diff isn't so bad... I am not saying all Somalis are angels, believe me we are NOT...But there's alwayz the good ppl, and you might not come accross them so far in your life...SO don't let a few bad experiences ruin your perspective of us... OG_MOTI, you're leaving aa? What's wrong with you man...We need you here...Don't you dare leave us...Or you'll break a happy family...lol N'way, good luck bro...I must say you are one decent bro that I have the pleasure of getting to know...Take care...
  12. Yo, this just shows how much of a sleeper I am...I guess hurdaa ila tagtay...Walee marking kankale... Barwaaqo, why you complaining? 13. Ar maxaa la isku kashifaa meeshaan...Iska dhaaf yaaqey... I definately would say, it ain't no coincidence...But if they can get away with it, ohh well...But this time, waa la kashifay... I got one word for those ppl though: BUSTED...
  14. Other than Shopping and shopping some more, even when I don't have money? I would say sitting at home and doing nothing...And I mean nothing...No cooking, no cleaning, no complaining, no yelling, no tv...May be reading...But I enjoy staying at home with no qeelo iyo buuq...you know, no ppl around...
  15. I think it is about time we got some Women Moderators up in here... Congrats to Ameenah and Barwaaqo...I don't know how long y'all have been Moderators, but congrats, cuz I've just now seen your names under the moderators for the Women's Forum...Weeeew... Congrats again...I think it is only fair for women to moderate the Women's forum... Hey girls what do you say we congratulate these sisters for thier new title... I still have luv for my Moderator brothers, though...
  16. You sure as hell did Not offend me, sweet_gal, cuz I feel the exact same way... I don't post as much as I did b4, I feel some or most of the topics are as lame as a topic could be...I am just gonna leave it at that...

  18. Dear Mr. Clown: There's a time for Clowning, and there's a time for being down right ****** ...I'll just let you figure out the difference...I think you've been clownin' too long that you can't figure out when it's funny and when it is not... I am not sure if you really and I mean really, read the title of this topic...Just an FYI though, for this topic it is "Things you HATE about the opposite sex"...So I don't see where you get the idea that the guys I mentioned on my list, are the guys I LIKE... So, I suggest you look in the dictionary and find out the difference between HATE and LIKE... I hope that's clear enough for a Clown to understand what I am trying to get across here...Cuz, I really don't know the language they speak down at the circus... Of course, no hard feelings... MizzLexus, I think you confused the Clown...Cuz he seems to missunderstand the meaning of this thread...As they say "damiin far waaweeyn a wax loogu qoraa"... Girl, go easy on him the next time...
