Or may be she’s simply overpowered by the sheer wisdom the said old man sprinkles around. When all is said and done, this comes down to the personal autonomy and individual choices, which good Baashe already pointed out. Don’t let your mind linger on it walaal for it may actually fare better than the other ones… Ooooh, PuhLEASE!!! The last thing on a 20yr old's mind, is anything BUT what you've mentioned above...Ilaa iyo hada waxaa iiga dhigtay gabar almost 40 jirto oo aan wili laguursan...Whatever!!! A 20yr old is just beginning her life, she shouldn't get involved with someone who has already lived the better half of his life... Let's see you, Xiinfaniin, bring someone who's 30 yrs your senior...

MUNIRA, I agree with you a 110%...More parental involvement/guidance makes a world's deference to a young adult...However, in most cases it is a single parent, usually a mother...And in our Somali society, it is not like there are two or three kids in a family... I see mothers here with five or six kids, ranging from 2yrs up to 16/17yrs...So how could one parent attend to all five or six kids...It is really difficult...Most single mothers don't get support from the children's father... Every young boy needs his father to be there for him, support him, talk to him...Fathers are the role models for their kids, specially the boys...So if the father is working 12 or 13hrs a day, chewing JAAD the days he is off, does not make him a father...As they say "hal far food madhaqdo"...Every kid needs both parents (provided they are both alive)in his/her life...

Walee caruurtaan weyka siidarooyaan...No matter where they are, in UK, Canada, USA, and all around the world... I always feel bad for their mothers and family... Allaha u fududeeyo isga iyo family kiisaba...

Warheedha haya, wuxu yar yaraa...I went to Weston/Lawrence just the other day, and all I saw was these little guys, I could've sworn they were not older than 16 or 17yrs...And someone tells me that they are here for the Soccer Tournament...WHAATTTT!!!!!!! N'way, reer Toronto how's the tournament going...I don't follow it...But I always go to the Fanils... GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF THEM...majaha yar yar lee ha iska jabinina...

^^^Yeah RIGHT.... Ok, I really wish I can understand how a "22ish chic" would go for a 50yrs old man...Fist of all, he is more than twice her age...He is just old...It is very in appropriate...When she is 40 he'll be what "68"...That's pretty old...What could they possibly have in common... I say, there better be an interest for the "22ish chick"...May be she is looking for a father figure, May be he has Money, OR May be he is G Clooney (the real one ofcourse)...lol

As a parent of a girl, this kind of information first scares me, then pisses me off... It makes you (as a parent) wonder who you can trust... National hero my behind...He is nothing but a worthless piece of crab, and trust me I have many many more colourful words for him...If he can do this to this girl, how many more could there be...Cuz I am sure he just didn't start molesting at the age of 60...This is making me sick to my stomach... I saw him recently on TV, had I know, I would've spat on the TV...UFFFFFF...  He can run now, but he can not run from Allah SW...He will pay, and when that comes he'll have NOWHERE to run to...

It probably costs an arm and a leg too...I usually wait until the Holiday season...I am always a year or so behind with technology...

I got 14right... Watchout for #5's smile...Gosh, what a gab...Is #13 male or female... N'way, I guess you can tell the difference of a fake or real smile, by the eyes...Usually, people smile with their eyes too if the smile is genuine...That's my take on it...

We are so quick to point fingers, ie the Ethiopians in Somalia now...What about the last 17yrs in Somalia...Was Ethiopia occupying Somalia then? I don't think so...The problem is us - SOMALIS...NO ONE ELSE...As long there is QABIIL, Somalia will never be Somalia... I believe we are fortunate enough to be here to remember our history, it calls for a celebration...Nothing better than the good memories of our country...Let's not ruin that... Legend, everyone is entitle to their own opinions, no? Seems like I've touched on a sensitive issue...For all care, you can marry a 90yr old, whatever makes you happy darling...When you refer to J Nicholson & M Jagger, have you really seen them...As for the record George Clooney, anyday...Even if he is 90...lol Baashi, I just don't see how someone uu u haweysan karo qof dhashay isagoo 30sano jiro...I mean, up to 10yrs age gab I can understand, even may be (and that's just a may be) but 30yrs difference...No thanks...Not me, Not my sisters, Not my daughter will ever marry a man who's 30yrs her senior...Disgusting...Well unless he is George Clooney...You know...

Informed decision, aa...Walee waala wareeray...What could a 20yr old and 50yr old have in common...Other than him being old enough to be her awoowe (I might be stretching it a bit, but pretty close)...Besides, siduu nin 50jir ah u haweeysankaraa gabar yar oo 20jir ah...Unless, there is a situation or a catch...(ie. in Somalia, alot of families are now marrying off their teen daughters to 50 or 60+yr old men, just so they can some sort of financial support...Baahi baa ugeysay)... Btw where, on the age spectrum, would you make the cut: max/min -> 20/10, 10/5, 5/2.5 I would say may be: max/min -> 20/15, 15/10...

MMA, I used to love this song in 2000, until my heard me listing and said "naa maxaytahay heestaan calaalka ah, oo maalin kaso markaan gaariga sookoro kuu daaran, ma nin baa u oyn"... This is my song these days: Jacayl kala awood weyne kii iilka dhigay qays laylana ag seexshaa ana igu abuurmoo oogaduu ku faafoo diiday inaan adkaysto iikaa asqeyoo igu kaa eryaayee ogow naftaa kuu ooman adigeee hee imisaa adoo kale arji ila timadoo oofin maayo aan idhi awadaa uu joojee wadnahay i ololeyee ii dhigo abaalo arintayda meel mari Axdi been lama galoo wacad lama ilaawoo ruuxii ku aaminaa lagama indhasaabtee afar sano iyo dheraad arimahaan dhisaynee aan is idhi idlaadeee wadiigii firdheeyee ogow naftaa kuu ooman adigee imisaa adoo kale arji ila timidoo oofin maayo aan idhi awadaa u joojee wadnahay i ololeyee ii dhigo abaalo arintayda meel mari Ma ogtahay aduunyada rabi inuu ku uumaay hablo kaa asluub wacan ee kaa ilwaad qurux ama aynigaadaa ana aanan ka oodneyn waadigan i agmaraye sidaan ahayba eegine ogow naftaa kuu ooman adigee imisaa adoo kale arji ila timidoo oofin maayo aan idhi awadaa u joojee wadnahay i ololeyee ii dhigo abaalo arintayda meel mari Another calaal, but what can I say, I guess I have a thing for calaal songs...

Jacaylbaro, I don't see how that's childish...I chose to close the like...That's my choice, I guess I am entitle to that, no...
-
Jacaylbaro, I think she ment MALXIIS - as in bridesmaid... I know it might be better to have children (specially the first two), but it is double the work...Double the feeding, double the changing, double bathing, double the dressing...weeew, dhabar jab lee iga dheh... Besides, I don't think it matters if the age gab is two or three...Cuz my older sister is four years older than me, and we always played together, and still hangout, have the same group of freind and etc...

^^^Care to explain how what I posted is childish?

The point is not is one mother better than the other...Rather, what is better for the child...And we all know whether we like to admit it or not, that the child is better off being raised by his/her mother, at least for the first few years of his/her life...

Bismilah, war heedhe wuxu dherer badanaa...I gave up after the 3rd paragraph...It'll take me about a week to finish the article... So I decided to skim through it, until I got to the part: When I met Sophie, six years ago, I knew how ridiculous it was for a man of 50 to propose marriage to a girl of 22. My thought, child molester...UFFFFFFFFF...Then I closed the link...

^^^, very sad story...A child is now without a mother and father... N'way, did anyone watch Larry King Live, on Tuesday or Wednesday (don't remember the day), when he had Jessie Davis' mom...And some lady who found a baby on her porch... When Larry King asked the lady if the child she found on her porch had any African American features...She relied that even African American children are born very light, but that this child doesn't have any NIGGERO features... War ma dhagaheygey aheeyd mise she said Nigger on national television, and no one responded!!!!!!!!!!!!WHAT!!!
