But, unfortunately, I figured out that education is not everything without Intention. A real, honest and firm INTENTION to change the situation, a collaborative intention by all the Somalis. I totally respect and admire your opinion but, Competition for power, resources, ignorance as well as the colonial legacy is the most significant factor that has created and sustained the clan-based militia conflicts. The Somali civil war is fundamentally rooted in traditional tribal system and ignorance. Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance. So in my opinion, education is very important for an individual's success in life. It brings economic wealth, social prosperity and political stability. In general most Somali parents are un-educated (Islamic and bookwise) , they have kids just for their own pleasure and the kids have to deal with difficult behaviour because of their parent's irresponsibility. Without education the children are left to be taught by their surroundings outside of the home. Remember kids are kids (they soak everything they see and hear) and I fully believe that the home environment plays a major role in young girls/ boys when making decisions about their lives.Surprisingly, most Somali parents do not teach their kids deen and patriotism. Instead they teach their kids qabil. I strongly believe that children learn from their parents.Patriotism as well as aqlaaq begins at home, so we need to educate our children about the importance of loving one another regardless of their tribal origin or ethnicity. Somali Parents must start teach their children how to live for their nation and lead their nation. We need to become better human beings, to have better visions for ourselves as parents and for our children who will hold the torch for the survival of the Somali nation. If we as parents teach our kids to love, honour and respect for their country as well as for their fellow man, they will not only be graced by a sense of patriotism, they will become better citizens, and in turn role models for our future generations. Setting good instances of patriotism should, in turn, teach our children that every person counts, no matter who they might be, or which clan they belong too. Ps: Kuwa aad i leedahay aqoontooda waxba ma tarin waa kuwii awalba iyagoo waa weeyn Somalia ka soo tagey oo hadana inteey gadaal ugu noqdaan inta ka hartey sii duminaya really kuwaas aqoontooda waxba ma tarayso. However some people bent on dividing our people. I am therefore urging people not to listen to fringe groups such as all-shabab, all-maxakim, all-shaydan, all ehelu suna, all-land land , all-dawladiyah etc. Those groups are all created by our enemies who want kills us, colonize us, conquer us, execute us and divide us. They are absolutely not genuine politicians because politics does not work by playing a victim game; rather it would be better if it is handled with humbleness and congenial attitude. They are all hungry for money and/or power but not the suffering of the masses, and with no fear of a judgement day to come, they would do anything to satisfy their dream and reach to the intended goal. These groups always undergo that they are threatened by the existence of other opposition groups and instead of discussing the issue and try to minimize the difference or further proliferation they tend to engage blackmailing and character assassination, which is of course discourteous way of political discourse. Consequently, with too much acrimony and too little tolerance, our politics have become petty and poisonous. My brothers and sisters the situation of our country is certainly depressing but we should not be pessimistic. Instead let’s start by educating our people and let's know who our real enemies are. Last but not least-let’s unite our people. Nothing will harm us if we go on supporting each other for the sake of our people, county and dignity. Salams

  11. A new Somali flag is being proposed but by who and why? Is there a need for a new flag? I disapproves this flag because our flag has been a prominent icon in our national history. It is the symbol of our country's heritage;it represents freedom and the unity of Somali people (the five Somali regions which had been divided by the colonial powers). The designer of the Somali national flag Mr. Mohammed Awale Liban ( May Allah bless his soul) said the blue color stands the United Nations who help us to reach our dream of independence; white means peace and prosperity; the star is the five regions of Somali."United we stand and divided we fall”. Well, if we want to preserve our heritage for the next generation, we need to unite. Somali Anthem Somalia wake up, wake up and lean on each other support you country Support them forever. 12. ''Somali girls reflect on the refugee experience, western perceptions of their hajib, and trying to succeed in the US in the middle of the anti-muslim sentiment that affects them everyday''. Yasmin Hamud is a perfect role model for young Somali girls who lost there identity by coping other culture. She is a real patriotic, traditionalist and culturalist Somalian. she is a wonderful lady who clearly loves her people and a real inspiration to young girls. I wish her luck.

Noo I don’t but I think you misunderstood what I meant. My point was Iman hadii aay is qaawiso iyo hadii kaleba Ilahay baa malinta qiyaame kala xisaab tamaya not us. I just can't stand people judging other people because there is no other judge besides Allah (SWT).Only he knows what is in our hearts and He alone is master of the Day of Judgment. Janna/or heaven for both. And frankly don’t want to do anything that I would have to answer for in front of Allah on the Day of Judgment. Laakiin why dadka somalidaa iskaga dhigaan in aay yihiin dad so innocent ah oo pure Muslim ah marka aay dadka judge gareeynayaan? They are not innocent themselves. Aniga Imaan waxaa igala liita , igala xun kuwa Somalidu heroes dhahaayn oo dal keeynii soo gubey, dadkiisiina soo laayey hadana inta ka sii hartey sii dabar jaraya. These murders who do not value human life at all have Somali supporters. They gleefully murder their own people in order to take out everybody that disagrees. Allah’s words ‘’ if you kill a human is equal like you kill all mankind’’. Thus from the Islamic point of view, it is haram to kill civilians and innocent souls or to destroy or burn cities. The Qur’an says, “…Take not life, which Allah hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law: thus does He command you, that ye may learn wisdom.” (Al-Anam: 151). Hope I make you understand my point Peace

  16. This is a sort of entertainment for the Arab people since they have no sense of humour this is how they enjoy themselves. Another thing about Arabs is their dishonesty. They are criminals and can’t be trusted. It’s no wonder why Saudi Arabia kills people for the most minor of offenses. Don’t get me wrong but I haven’t found Arabs to be genuinely good people. I was really shocked about the story of six young Somalis beheaded in Saudi Arabia in 2005. According to the statement by the Saudi Interior Ministry, the six young Somali men were caught while in the process of robbery in which they wanted to seize a Taxi but the Saudi government had failed to produce any hard evidence in this regard or allow the young Somali men to have access to legal representation. This was not the first time Saudi carried out such merciless execution against Somalis in Saudi-Arabia. They also executed five Somalis in same manner in the mid of 1997.God knows how many innocent Somali people they've killed!

  19. Wha a mentally Retarded judge. According to the Qur'an the relationship between the husband and wife should be based on mutual love and kindness ((Ar-Rum: 21 or An-Nisa’: 19).Thus Islam does not permit beating or abusing women. According to Aisha (RC) prophet Mohamed peace be upon HIM has never beaten any of his wives or servants and he used to say that the best of men are those who do not hit their wives. The matter of beating a woman is mentioned in the Noble Qur'an (chapter 38 - verse 44) ("And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! Allah (God) has found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)!). The word "beating" is used in the verse, but it does not mean "physical abuse”. This verse has been greatly misconceived by many people who focus merely on its surface meaning, taking it to allow wife beating. The Prophet (SCW) explained it "dharban ghayra mubarrih" which means "a light tap that leaves no mark" (Al-Bukhari, English Translation, vol. 8, Hadith 68, pp. 42-43). Thus the beating mentioned in the Noble Qur'an means touching the person to draw his or her attention and not the beating that people are accustomed to. Our prophet (SCW) further said that face must be avoided. Some other scholars are of the view that it is no more than a light touch by siwak, or toothbrush. Another hadith: the prophet (SCW) said, “Do not beat the female servants of Allah".Thus the true following of the Sunnah is to follow the example of the Prophet (SCW.) who never resorted to that measure, regardless of the circumstances. Allahu ya3lam May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala guide us all, ameen. The truth about wife beating and Islam
