So let me give you a little bit of free advice: If you find yourself with a man who wishes not to marry, and your wish is to be married, the easiest thing to do would be find another man, a man who loves you unconditionally, regardless of whether or not you can cook. Another thing sis: men are often slower to commit because they are very careful about getting to know a woman before they commit to her. Pressuring a Farah to make a decision before he feels he knows you will inevitably lead him to doubt, thus don't talk about marriage until he brings it up.

Sababtuna waxaa weeye: 1.All-shabaab dadka aay ka amar qaataan ma aha Soomaali ee waa dad ajaanib ah. 2. All-shabab Qof kasta oo muwaadin ah laakiin fekradooda ka soo hor jeeda waay dilaan. Ilaa hada all-shabaab waxaay laayeen dad ka badan inta cadowgu laayey , iyagoo soomaali ah, iyagoo muslim sheeganaya, iyagoo diinta adeegsanaya. 3. Hadana waxaayba soo cusboonaaysiiyeen in aay dadkii nool noolaa kii ilig qalin ah ama dahab ugu jiro ka soo bixiyaan. Waxaaba magaalooyinka qaar ka dhacay heer aay garaan in aay ugaarsadaan dadka ilkahu ugu jiraan. Waxaa taas ka sii daran hal bir baay dadka dhan ilkaha kaga saarayaan waliba si naxariis la aan ah iyagoon ka fekerin cafimaadka dadka iyo cudurada meeshaas ka imaan kara. Taasna waxaay cadaaynaysaa in aay tuug yihiin all-shabab.Waayo yaa iyaga u xil saaray in aay dadka akhiro iyo aaduun kaba ku xisaabiyaan? 4. Taas waxaa sii dheer all-shabab waxaay dadka ugu neceb yihiin qofka caawiya shacabka Soomaaliyeed oo masaakimtaa, hadaay arkaan nin xoogaa xataa food stamp qaaybinaya waay dilaan. 5. Ilaa hada xal Soomaaliya looma hayo aan ka ahaan in somalia arqaqixisada lagu daray taasna all-shabaab baa masuuliyadeeda leh. Hadaa marka qodobadaas kor ku xusan eegti oo dhamaan runtaa waxaa kuu cadaanaysa in aaysan all-shabab wax dan ah u haayn Soomaalia. Soomaalidu waligood baay gaalo la dagaalami jireen iyagoo dhamaan isla socda oo walaalo ah magaca Soomaalinimana ku dagaalamaya , hadana hadaay rabaan they can do that again but hada cid lala dagaalamo oo Soomaalia joogtaa maba jirto. 10. Subhan Allah. Mr Somali you are perfectly free to choose your own path but I suggest that you do more research into why you dislike Islam before you make judgements and accusations based on no evidence. Remember Allah doesn’t need you, you need HIM. So whether you convert to Islam or out of Islam doesn't make Allah or Islam less valuable. I believe that it is better to know than to be ignorant but as Benjamin Franklin once said. "Being ignorant is not so much a shame, as being unwilling to learn." Ps: Mr Somali hadaa somali tahay maxaad soomaali ugu hadli waaysey lagu dhufayeh??

  12. Ramadan Kareem to all my fellow Nomads! Tips for Ramadan fasting A healthy Iftar goes hand in hand with the traditions: starting with 2 dates, then a glass of water or laban, then start the meal with a warm bowl of soup, a salad and the main course. Of course moderation is key to health!!! 2.Starting your Iftar meal with a warm soup comforts the stomach after a long day of fasting, replenishes you body with fluids and help prepare the digestive system for this blessed meal. 3.A balanced main dish at Iftar should contain a source of carbohydrates like rice, pasta, potatoes or burghul, as well as some form of protein like beef, chicken or fish, in addition to cooked vegetables. Balance and moderation are key to health! 4.Don’t forget during the holy month of Ramadan to drink plenty of water. At least 8 glasses distributed in small quantities so not to feel bloated. 5.To prevent getting thirsty during Ramadan, drink plenty of water, avoid foods that are too spicy or salty, and consume more fruits and vegetables that are refreshing! 6.Some people tend to be more sedentary during the month of Ramadan. To burn extra calories, make sure to be active by at least going for a walk everyday, 2 hours after having Iftar which allows you time to digest your meal. 7.Some people tend to eat more during Ramadan and this can lead to weight gain. Eating a healthy Iftar, eating starters and sweets in moderation, choosing more fruits and vegetables, avoiding sweetened beverages, and being active everyday will help you maintain your weight. 8.Suhour is a vital meal in Ramadan. It gives you strength and vitality for the day and can make fasting easier and tolerable. Make sure that this meal is rich is slowly absorbed Carbohydrates such as whole grain breads, rice and whole grain cereals that can help maintain your blood sugar levels. 9.For plenty of vitamins an minerals vital to good health, make sure to eat during Ramadan plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, and to include a variety of vegetable in your soups! 10.People who suffer from headache or dizziness due to low blood sugar levels during the fasting period should break the fast at Iftar time by starting with 2-3 dates which will help replenish blood sugar levels. 11.Eating slowly your soup and salad at Iftar will help you feel full and prevent you from overeating later from the main dish and sweets. 12.Delightful sweets in Ramadan are hard to resist. To avoid consuming too many calories, indulge and enjoy with your family the tasty and creative delights while making sure you always practice portion control and moderation!!! 13.Choose dates, dried fruits and nuts as part of your diet during Ramadan. These provide healthy nutrients and are packed with energy, thus helping you keep your vitality during this month. 14.To make your dishes lighter during Ramadan, adopt healthy cooking methods such as grilling, boiling, simmering and roasting and add taste to the food with a wealth of vegetables, herbs and seasonigs. 15.Eating sweets immediately after Iftar will increase the size of your stomach and cause a delay in digestion. It will also cause a fluctuation in the blood glucose level, which will lead to you craving for more sweets. That’s why, it is recommended to have sweets in moderation 2-3 hours after Iftar 16.Planning your meals and Ramadan recipes ahead will help you be organized during this month, maximize your energy and strength and gives you ample time to choose a variety of foods and healthy recipes to delight and nourish the family. 17.For balanced nutrition, try not to rely solely on Iftar to give you all your nutritional requirements. You can have other light meals before bed time such as low fat yoghurt and a whole-wheat cheese sandwich, or some dried fruits and nuts. Not to forget your Suhour that can include a glass of low fat milk, whole wheat bread and some legumes. 18.Avoid salty foods, such as canned or processed foods, salted nuts, and pickles, because these will increase your thirst during the fasting period. 19.2-3 dates are enough to break your fast on. Remember dates are also rich in calories, so don't forget that moderation is required to help you maintain a healthy weight during Ramadan. 20.Make sure your soup includes generous amounts of vegetables such as broccoli, spinach, peas, green beans, squash, and carrots. These add vitamins and minerals to your soup as well as fibres which are essential for a healthy digestive system. 21.Be creative with your salad. The more varied and colorful vegetables you include in your salad, the more assorted are the nutrients and antioxidants you get. These help protect your body cells and promote good health especially during this holy month. 22.Divide your main course into three parts. Have one quarter of the plate filled with complex carbohydrates, one quarter with lean meat or meat alternatives, and half with vegetables. This will ensure that you have a healthy balanced meal. 23.If you feel full quickly and are unable to complete your Iftar, you can delay your main course until after your Maghreb prayer. This will ensure that you have enough time to digest your dates, soup and salad, preventing you from feeling uncomfortable as a result of overeating after a long day of fasting. 24.Be moderate in your consumption of appetisers such as sambosa, because deep fried foods are high in calories and fat that could increase cholesterol levels in the blood. Instead, when you can, try to have them baked and stuffed with low fat cheese. 25.Have Ramadan drinks such as jallab and dried apricot syrup in moderate amounts. Although they are a good source of sugar and some vitamins they are also a rich source of calories, adding up to your caloric intake. To quench your thirst, drink more water. 26.If you are a coffee drinker, try and reduce your coffee consumption two weeks prior to the Holy month of Ramadan in order to avoid headaches and sleepiness. 27.If you love to drink coffee during Ramadan, have a cup one to two hours after having a healthy balanced Iftar. 28.To control your calorie intake during Ramadan, try to limit your portions, especially sweets. Instead choose one type of sweets that you like everyday and have a 3-finger size portion. 29.If you are a regular athlete used to moderate or vigorous exercise, you can still maintain this by incorporating your exercise session just before Iftar. Make sure to hydrate immediately after your session and eat slowly to replenish your fluid and nutrients. 30.Having three meals is still important during this holy month: Iftar, a light evening snack, and Suhour. This would help you avoid continuous snacking throughout the non-fasting hours. 31.You can prepare lower calorie sweets at home by using low fat dairy products such as low fat milk and cream, using a moderate amount of oil and sugar, baking your sweets or having them raw when you can. 32.Make sure that each of your meals include complex carbohydrates such as rice, potatoes and burghul which are absorbed slowly in your body, ensuring you have a stable level of glucose in your blood stream for 4-5 hours. 33.Meats, legumes, eggs and dairy products are rich in proteins. Ensure you have at least one of these sources in every Ramadan meal since proteins are very important for you body cells. They also increase your satiety level thus reducing the temptation for eating sweets. 34.A change in routine, like fasting during Ramadan, could lead to constipation. To avoid this, enrich your diet with fibre by eating vegetables, fruits, whole grains and legumes. Drink plenty of water and try to be active whenever possible. 35.For better health, be moderate in adding salt to your cooked dishes especially during Ramadan. Instead use vegetables, herbs and spices to add flavor and color to your meals! http://www.nestle-fa mily.com/ramadan/eng lish/articles/nutrit ional-tips.aspx
  13. PUNTLAND DIASPORA FORUM REPUDIATES MISLEADING ICG REPORT For Immediate Release PDF/OP/19/08/09/PR Puntland Diaspora Forum wishes to strongly refute the largely baseless propaganda like report ‘Somalia: The Trouble with Puntland’, Crisis Group Africa Briefing N.64, 12 August 2009. The report is a hotchpotch of outdated, overly sensationalized facts and outright lies allegedly compiled with the help of largely anonymous sources in Puntland, Nairobi and in the diaspora. We regret to say, that the ICG missed an opportunity, given all the resources that went into the production of this grossly biased report, to depict a more accurate picture of the current realities in the Somali State of Puntland and, in the process, promote good working relations with the new administration in Garowe. Regretfully, it chooses instead, and again in collusion with these unidentified, almost entirely anonymous critics of doom and gloom, to manufacture non-existent social fragmentation, and portray a picture of imminent collapse. Neither the government nor the people of Puntland are likely to be taken in or distracted by this kind of one sided, inexplicably adversarial reporting regardless of its authorship. Moreover Puntland’s state building journey will continue unabated within the context of the existing federal arrangements. The resolve of the people of the Somali State of Puntland in this regard is indomitable. PDF strongly supports the Farole government’s pronounced commitment to a fairer and more functional federalism and implores the TFG of Somalia to negotiate in good faith to that end. The current presence in Puntland of the Prime Minister of the TFG, H.E. Omer Abdirashid A. Sharmarke provides an opportunity for both administrations to carve out practical working relations between the two administrations. Incidentally, a fairer ICG report might have noted that the Somali flag was proudly hoisted by President Abdirahman Sh. Mohamed Mohamud (Farole) in the Minneapolis Convention Center on 1 July 2009 at midnight past one minute in celebration of the 49th anniversary of the national independence and unity day during his recent working visit to the USA., while the Vice President of Puntland Gen. Abdisamad Ali Shire presided over a similar ceremony in Garowe in the same day. Overlooking this could not have been accidental in our view. PDF is not denying that there can be noteworthy problems in Puntland and is not as such dogmatic about their defence; we are however gravely dismayed by the lack of even a semblance of the kind of commitment to fairness and informational accuracy that one would naturally expect from an organization that purports to want to forestall the outbreak of violent conflict in war prone societies. Contrary to the ICG’s stated objective of preventing conflict, it seems as though this particular report was written to encourage perhaps even incite social discord among the peaceful inhabitants of Puntland- a notable oasis of peace in our now much troubled nation. While we agree that Puntland has experienced a period of decline during the last three years, the report is uncharacteristically liberal in its exaggeration of both the scope and reach of this decline and its putative impact to state/society relations in Puntland. ICG chooses also to ignore the national context of the decline and engages in cherry picking and selection bias. More important, the report fails, we think deliberately, not to paint the varying records of all the administrations that ruled Puntland since its inception with the same brush. While ICG pays lip service to the 7 January 2009 free and fair election in the state which produced the current government, the great developmental strides made thus far by the Farole administration are either completely buried under the rug or presented as potentially ruinous political adventures. PDF calls upon the government of Puntland to stay on course in its current efforts to improve governance, uproot the scourge of piracy that so maligned the good name of Puntland, combat corruption, nepotism and cronyism wherever they exist, protect the human rights of all citizens and non-citizens alike, improve the lives of all citizens by extending critical social services to the remotest parts of the state, and foster an atmosphere conducive to the holding of free and fair elections in the future. Such are the critical benchmarks against which Puntland’s democratic development will be measured against not a partisan report by an apparently ill or uninformed fledgling think tank. Abdulkadir A. Hashi President, PDF Sources Allidamaale.com
  14. This is really sad but why do they have to fight? They are brothers killing each other for no reason. Also they are not only destroying innocent lives, but are also betraying the values of the faith they claim to reprent Subhan Allah.Islam strictly condemns the use of violence against innocent lives. They need to stop fighting, and the Farole government should maintain peace and stability in the region.

  23. My friend sent me this and I thought I share it with everyone on this board. This is the most hilarious jokes i've ever heard in my life. Very intelligent joke indeed. I really like the Somali English mixt style. ************** Xaliimo was a very beautiful and hot gabar. Her qurux was like jowharad that would make you sleepless for nights. She is boqorod and full of suuro and jinniyo, the kind of girl that most of ciyaal xaafad would love to be with. She was tall, dhiig furan and with a super model physique. She had a big booty and dhaxyar. She had a wicked smile and heavenly indho-deero that would make you think of the Xural Ceynta janadda. They say jaceylku is blind and makes you jileec. From the first day her family moved into our xaafad, I was struck by her qurux and wanted inaan ku dhaco. Somehow, ma helin a chance. One day I saw her walking in the suuq buying some dirac for the coming aroos party in saturday habeen at Habaryar isniino's wedding hall, doing hard gorgorton, getting cilaan on long fingers and gacmaha xaada lah, getting her timaheeda garbaha jooga done, and chilling with her girfriends. I tried my best to overcome my unnatural xishood and went straight to her to say “ abaayo, iska waran? My name is Faarax”. I wanted to be cool and self-confident and I wanted to let her know jaceylka aan u qabo. After my is-maqiiqin and indho-adeeg, I found myself in front of her, frozen and speechless. My geesinimo went out of the dariishad. I couldn’t even dheh xataa one word. I started to gariir and dhidid. I was like a tiny leaf in a small Geed caught in a dabeel waalan ala tornado. After a daqiiqad or two. I was able to jooji the trembling but the sweating waa iska socday like fire hydrant ciyaal fureen in a blazing summer day. What an embarrassment! She qosol at my awkwardness and lack of geesinimo. So did the other Xaliimos that were with her. I neceyb them fat and fulxumo chicks that are always with her like body guards. They remind you of that song: Buur buuranaayee alla ma buunsheey cuni jireenee. And specially that dhuxul gubatay la mood Faadumo Gaab. Her shortness is like a ganbar lugaha laga gooyay. Xaliimo looked me kor iyo hooos and walked away from me with jeesto, giggling and laughing. I could hear Faadumo Gaab saying ….what an alwaax!!. I wished I was meyd aan nooleeyn but I was breathing si xoog badan. I regained myself control and started to orod from this fadeexo like a tuug maalin cad la qabtay. I went straight to my guri, and went to my qol, slammed the albaab behind me, jumped on the sariir, found my go’ and barkin and started to hide myself from the yaxyax and jac that followed me all the way from the awful is-biimeen and ill-choreographed ku-dhacoow. After hours of painful shalaay and galgalasho, I fell into a nice hurdo. Dreams , qarow and riyo became my comfort, I dreamt of her, she was with me in the sariir, lying by my dhinac and giving me warmth. I was in Jano Aduun! Knock, knock on the door and loud bang woke me up of what could have been one of my wild imaginations with Xaliimo. It was my little hyperactive walaalkeeyga yar, waking me up with his usual feer and faralaab. What a little nuisance that I have to adkeeysi him walaahi on daily basis as if beat him my hooyo would call all my adeero gardheerayaal who will then take me to masaajidka and keep me there for wacdi. He spoiled my dream and I had to beat the hell out of him and vent all my ciil on him. He ran away to the qolka fadhiga. I ran afer him. She was there. Xaliimo was there, sitting with my abaayo and hooyo. I was only wearing one duluf macaawiis .She could see my skinny feero and hairy xabad. Again, I stood there like alwaax and speechless. Embarrassment fooqul embarrassment! This inkaar again? Xaliimo and my heartless abaayo started to laugh at me. My hooyo started to tuur her kab on me. “war nacasyahow, soo gasho shaar, gabar baa kuu joogtee” Hooyo shouted me. I ran like tuug la qabtay talo ma leh back to my qol. I didn’t want to go back to fadhiga. Knock, knock on the door and it was my pitiless abaayo this time. “ war marax yhaow soo bah, gabar baa ku sugeeysa” she taunted me with her challenged but improving Somali luqad she boowsid from dariska. We have loud and bad-mannered new Somali daris fresh out of the boat. I wanted to say “bax naga tag” but that was not ragnimo thing to do. I took my shukumaan and went straight to musqusha, titir my face and get the fiish out of my indho, brushed my coffee stained ilko dhaadheer. I took a cold shower, get out of it and started is qalajis and qurxin, combing my jareer hair with shanlo, and putting some lotion on my dry skin. I came back to my qol and changed into a nice shaar and surwaal jeans and went straight to fadhiga, Xaliimo was there sitting in the fadhi carbeed; eating buskut, xalwo and drinking qaxwo qaraar like she is a marti in Eid celebrations. She looked and smiled at me. I sat horteeda and murmured something that sounded like a salaan. My mother started her obvious marmarsiyo to excuse herself and others to let me be all alone with the quruxleeyda na soo booqatay. “ war maxamed iyo asli, kaalaya iiga soo qaada the threadmill from the basement” and they all left fadhiga to the basement. I kept silent for a daqqiiqo or two and Xaliimo started to break the ice by saying “hooyadaa is cool!” I was like “yeah” and then I asked her what she is doing in our Guri. “ I came to see you. What you did in the suuqa maanta was amazing. I saw qof waalan but wax jecel and I felt that jaceeyl.” I couldn’t believe it. I was like is this another riyo or real? Gabartu dhiiranaa!!!.., A Xaliimo so geesi to come to you Guri to ask you out! lama arag lama maqal! this must be A joke! “ Look Faarax, aboowe you are a nice guy and I would like us to know each other better and yaa og what could happen” Xaliimo continued. I was like this is crazy shukaansi and sheeko unlike I have seen. A xaliimo, so daring and bold. Yaabka yaabkiis, All I could say was “Haye”like baari. “one of us has to have the initiative and be the man….you made the first move oo waa igu dhacday , … so I fakir inaan retun the favor and come to you.” All I could say was “haye”again like caano madaadshe “ so you know meesha la iga helo and here is my number, I soo wac, aboowe” she stood up and walked toward albaabka. I followed her and u furay albaabka and like a gentleman did little bit of sagootis that was kind cool saan u maleeynaayo. As I closed the door, I started to jump and shout with farax. “YES! YES!” Waanba iska hilmamay all the embarrassment for the day. I was jumping and shouting for dhowr daqiiqo unaware my surroundings and who is around my geeso and hereero or not. God is good..ilaaheey ma ku gargaaraa mise ganfuur ganfuur.. my joy was on the roof and caadaas! My hooyo, abaayo and little devilish brother were all in front of me ..with yaab and qosol at my weird moves. I didn’t give damn about them. My sister Asli again flexed her newly acquired taunting repertoire of Somalia on me with her carabla’ accent she said “ walaahi ahadkan waa la soo haayaa” She can't pronounce the Xa and Ca in Somalia and sounds like a Gaal speaking Somali. The end
