^^Especially since it's considered polite to reciprocate

^LOL. Anyone knows what happens if you eat a pound of tamarind?

^^LOL. His trusty boomerang can knock down a bird at 50 meters, I heard.

Non-Overlapping Magisteria, Johnny. "The net of science covers the empirical realm: what is the universe made of (fact) and why does it work this way (theory). The net of religion extends over questions of moral meaning and value. These two magisteria do not overlap, nor do they encompass all inquiry (consider, for starters, the magisterium of art and the meaning of beauty). To cite the usual clichés, we get the age of rocks, and religion retains the rock of ages; we study how the heavens go, and they determine how to go to heaven."

Bono is at a U2 concert in Glasgow when he asks the audience for some quiet. Then in the silence, he starts to slowly clap his hands. Holding the audience in total silence, he says softly and seriously into the microphone ... "Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies..." A voice from near the front pierces the silence: "Well, ****en' stop doin' it then!"

You're innocent until proven guilty, so technically the state shouldn't imprison you until a guilty verdict is reached. Bail isn't about the evidence but rather based on whether the judge thinks the suspect is a flight risk and won't appear for the trial.

^I think some people wouldn't object if he had given her father cash instead of her candy.

I think he was auctioned off at the airport. They paraded all his marriageable and not-quite-marriageable girl cousins and told him to pick one. Or two. He left as a boy but he's going to return a MAN.

Camel milk is something alright.

I can't say it this year. How can we mouth empty words of patriotism while the nation tears itself apart?

Mogadishu: Son of deposed court leader shott by police
Cara. replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Analysts contend that the death of Janaqow, which has been confirmed by his relatives, represents major victory for the governments and a blow for insurgency as he is one of the highest ranking members of the insurgents, who the government believes are active in the capital in their thousands. Just like the death of Al Zarqawi or any other number of "key insurgent leaders" put an end to the insurgency in Iraq eh? -
Ngonge, maybe that was the whole point. For some individuals their absence is the appeal. What plays did he write? Were any performed in Somalia?

I think they're all fake smiles. I never trusted psychologists since Psych 101 when they teach you about the Milgram experiments. They always pretend they're testing one thing while really looking at another.

I don't get it so I probably won't get it.

15/20 I think I was doing well before I started wondering how they made people give genuine smiles to a camera or screen anyway. Baby pictures? funny but not too funny cartoon? Telling them they won money?

^LOL. I think Che was aiming more for the swaggering swordsman persona, in which case I strongly suggest my hero Inigo Montoya: Just look at that hair! As for personal magnetism, Naden will confirm that I have a small but measurable gravitational field, which many a poor man has mistaken for physical attraction of another sort.

Caravaggio, on the contrary, since most modern peoples DON'T hunt animals for food or as a sport, I'd say there's nothing intrinsic about the behavior. And in any case, I dunno how it works for you but when an impulse strikes me that would cause unnecessary harm to another, I channel it into less wicked pursuits, even if they prove to be ultimately less satisfying. Good Baashi wrote: Cara, I guess ya know how your fav hot dish comes about. Assuming ya like sea food, how about thinking about how fishermen have hunted all these nemo like creatures right there in candle lit table just to up the romantic night eh! Baby see lions...why bash them on the head...ya know what the smoke filled, alchoholic populated n deafening hall is good for [big Grin] How romantic eh [big Grin] Ya might know but millions consider fishing and hunting sport. Now that should've been preceded by a "Yaa" Do you really have no moral misgivings about killing animals purely for fun, or is this a "Let's Give The Bleeding-Heart Liberal Some Food For Thought" knee-jerk reaction? I'd say no pun intended but I'd be lying.

^^Troll-like, you might say.

Hehe. I wouldn't mind the sour cream glazed ones, even at high velocity. How come the Canadian Tim Hortons have so many more kinds than the ones in the States?

LOL, I bet you're picturing more than that... My experience with daytime TV is strictly through clips on YouTube or on The Daily Show. So I have no idea what the current make-up of The View is, aside from the absolute requirement for unfunny shrill women talking over one another.
-
^LOL, yeah I think I prefer the slave-master arrangement to watching The View...

^Are you advertising that you still got the mojo?
