Granted, science can broadly defined as knowledge about the material universe, described as accurately as possible by whom?, yes the human mind. Scientific research therefore is the attempt to obtain this knowledge (as far as can be possible), and a scientific truth or fact is the result of this research. The human mind is the only faculty that we have for obtaining knowledge about the world. Everything, whether written in a holy book or observed about the natural world, can only be filtered through human reasoning. Unless you can routinely set aside your "human mind" and pull on another kind of mind to gain knowledge, your charge that scientific knowledge is deficient (because its truth as perceived by humans) makes no sense.

Is that what they're calling it nowadays?

Xalimopatra, how did you guess my fatal weakness? Che, take a guess. I really don't have any problem with the dynamics of this gentleman's family. The setup is as old as time. What I find a little embarrassing is a man in his 50s talking about his family, period. Well done to him for realizing that he's mortal and should leave offspring. Double kudos for finding a young fertile woman to leave descendants with. But for pete's sake stop trying to make it out to be more than that! Yes, I agree, but they are not saying that, what they are saying is, if you want to do your Hajj in peace, and try get the maximum rewards for your deeds, with out being side tracked or harassed by people who are not here for Hajj, we have devised a better plan for you. This I have no problems with. Don't you think the women should decide what constitutes a better plan for them? I'm surprised they haven't built an indoor Kaaba for women already.
