Much better boys and girls. Y'all get a temporary reprieve. Oh no Malika, are you leaving us? Trust me, no matter how great an opportunity it seems now, it's not worth it if it takes you away from SOL. You'll be sitting there at that plush corner office, contemplating your CEO salary and your limo with driver waiting outside, and you will realize: no amount of ordering cute personal assistants around can make up for trollers making fun of you, the politics section scaring/disgusting you (and that's just from accidentally reading the titles), and the Women's section welcoming you. But if you're not convinced, all the best to you dear. Drop in now and then to let us know if the PA's are making your coffee exactly how you like it.

Morning GJ. Waxba lama hayo meeshu waa barkad qalashey  What's wrong with the troll corner lately? I demand to be entertained by pages and pages of naac naac and "he said she said" and hilarious misunderstandings and childish rants. *To help you all get back into the swing of things: Sabriya how dare you?! Apologize to Malika at once!

Is a prosthetic out of the question?

Law and Order, the Closer and Monk jump out at me from your list, SS. I like them partly because I can tune in, watch an episode and not have to worry about what happened in previous episodes/seasons.

^On the other hand, you're an expert soo ma'aha

Originally posted by Al Zeylaci: ^^ Well I wouldn't really describe myself as staunch of supporter of Alshabab, but that is another issue for another day. As for the issue at hand, sxb, not everything in life requires philosophical and cadan-like rhetorical analysis. One does not need grand political philosphies to work out what happened. Alshabab recruits from Somalia, a war torn country, wherein many of the youth could be ex militia members or have become accustomed to looting and other types of related violence. So their youths went to a city and slightly got out of hand. What's the big deal? This happens even in the armies of the most civilized and advanced countries. What matters is that is this a policy or action which is given from above? Is Alshabab a group which tolerates these activies and encourages it like their rival warlords?Does the fact that some youths looted UN equipment mean that Alshabab is suddenly not a religous movement? You probably know the answer= NO, as you say this does not happen in the other cities which they control. But, perhaps,You just like analysing little issues. The problem is that Al-shabab IS a religious movement that wants to legislate morality. Their powerful claim is that of reformation of character and society. Their militia have presumably sworn to live by the very same code they will impose on the people. If the most ardent supporters of Al-shabab, the very youth who are willing to die and kill for the movement, have failed to up-hold the most basic of tenets, how can the rest of society be likewise reformed? Saying that the commanders don't approve means nothing, because the seed is planted: if the true believers who are fighting on the streets are stealing, what crimes are the commanders committing? In addition, Al-shabab makes no distinction between the militia sent to secure a town, and the enforcers of the laws they hope to implement. These same youth will be running around chastising women for not wearing proper attire, and arresting others for committing theft or for watching inappropriate films or for littering. In a religious movement, the militia is the army, the police, the public relations firm. Any failure of theirs reflects on the religious movement. In contrast, a modern army does NOT have a similar pressure because the soldiers in a modern army are men who may enlist for money, or fame, or to travel, or for simple bloodlust. They don't actually have to do anything but follow orders and kill on demand. They don't even have to believe that their superiors are right, or that their mission is meaningful or just. They live by a code different than that of a city they are occupying, and there's no handy parallel between them and the populace. If they commit a crime, it's merely a problem of army discipline.

This is Arab music at its best. I give you: (Check out the dancing). Really, I don't understand why people are posting anything else after this. Hopefully the moderators will come to their senses and lock this thread after they have recovered from the paralyzing awe.

^Kamikaze sperm theory, I heard about it too. Basically most of the little guys aren't actually racing to fertilize the egg, but rather to eliminate the competition. There's even supposed to be different troop deployments, one group just tries to halt further incursions, another scouts ahead to free the home base from previous invaders, yet another contingent is responsible for security detail after the coast is clear

^What did you get me? Hello trollers. Seems like we're making an effort today! Earlier I ran into my boss with HER boss while I was trying to sneak in late. Why is it you never run into the higher-ups while you're dutifully slaving away

^Well said. Hello Xena, how are you love? Safar maad ku jirtay?
-
Gosh SS, I've always wanted to do it too, but I'm a scaredy cat so every time someone talked me out of it, I would be a little relieved Now though, I'm gonna go for it!

I honestly would feel flattered if someone said that about me, so I don't see what the fuss is all about. It's ridiculous that in this day and age, people still think the only true validation for a woman is her looks  Adam, weren't you going gaga about that other Somali model a few months ago? Isn't she also "getting naked" to succeed? Frankly, I know very little about Iman and don't plan to learn anymore, but your attacks on her are a little confusing. Did she tarnish the incredibly flattering image of Somalia? Is the world suddenly getting a negative vibe from the Horn of Africa that trumps the usual images of starving children, rank stup!dity and general lawlessness? Your zealous patriotism is welcome, but occasionally it's healthy to get some perspective, son. Iman doesn't have to spin tall tales to convince the world that we are a pack of savages. 18 years of murder and mayhem speak for themselves.

^LOL@ladyboys and monks. You're thinking Thailand and Tibet, respectively This bra-thing illustrates the Japanese way of dealing with life's uncertainties: make a silly gadget and hope everyone gets the joke.

Whoa. All of this is making me wonder if there's a shisha joint in town...

^American TV shows, sports teams, celebs. Eg, San Franscisco 49ers (the Niners) are big rivals of the New York Giants, that's why the audience laughs in shock.

A black mamba isn't so bad: Black mamba venom contains powerful, fast-acting neurotoxins and cardiotoxins, including calciseptine.[9] Its bite delivers about 100-120 mg of venom on average, however it can deliver up to 400 mg. If the venom reaches a vein, 0.25 mg/kg is sufficient to kill a human in 50% of cases.[10] The initial symptom of the bite is local pain in the bite area, although not as severe as snakes with hemotoxins. The victim then experiences a tingling sensation in the mouth and extremities, ptosis, diplopia (double vision), dysphagia, tunnel vision, ophthalmoparesis, severe confusion, dysarthria, fever, diaphoresis (excessive perspiration), excessive salivation (including foaming of the mouth and nose), and pronounced ataxia (lack of muscle control). If the victim does not receive medical attention, symptoms rapidly progress to severe abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, lymphadenopathy, dyspnea (shortness of breath), epistaxis, pallor, shock, nephrotoxicity, cardiotoxicity, and paralysis. Eventually, the victim experiences convulsions, respiratory arrest, coma, and then death. Without antivenom, the mortality rate is nearly 100%,[3] the highest among venomous snakes. Depending on the nature of a bite, death can result anytime between 15 minutes and 3 hours.[11] Factors associated with the nature of the bite include penetration of one or both fangs, amount of venom injected, location of the bite, and proximity to major blood vessels. The health of the snake and the interval since it last used its venom mechanism may also be a factor. The health, size, age, and psychological state of the individual bitten is also a determining factor . See you would've been fine if you just didn't freak out

Less yapping more pics. *Kidding* Welcome back.

You're right Che, I really should make an effort.

Adam, I was just trying to combine yours and Siren's disses into one powerful one. I think Paragon got it. And just because you're on the net doesn't mean you become immune to the wrath of henna-tattooed hands. I wouldn't grow too attached to those 4 stars under your name if I was you
