Come on CL, why don't you just admit that feminists are responsible for all the tragedies and calamities of the 20th and 21st centuries!

    Hitler? Feminist.

The nuclear bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagazaki? Feminists.

Pol Pot? He ran a 5K marathon to support breast cancer research. Twice.

Osama bin Laden? A passionate believer that men and women should be equal before the law.

Dick Cheney? Cannot get enough of Girl Scout cookies.

The Haiti earthquake? Plate Tectonics just shows you how unstable Mother Earth is, she should learn to settle down and find a man. Obviously "global warming" is really just hot flashes from early menopause. Can you say "biological clock is ticking away"?

  2. Ola trollers!

Subax wanaagsan @ KK, am glad the little one is safe and sound.

Sign me up for the Glee fanclub, love that show, or the few episodes I managed to find online anyway :D

Curly, am with you, guys like him don't need to come out of the closet, his orientation is as obvious as a whale in a fish tank.

  3. ^Good points. I've had the same Dell PC for almost 5 years. I've upgraded the memory and replaced the hinge with a $15 online purchase. These are simple things anyone can do on a PC, while a Mac is so inscrutable finding the power button feels like an epic victory.

The major advantage of Macs was their stability compared to PCs, but my computer doesn't really crash nowadays and it's almost always on. I admit Macs look prettier, but I'm definitely a form-over-function person.

On the other hand, my boss is a staunch Mac user and I can understand why. Computers are still a mystery to her. If a single icon on her desktop is moved she panics and calls the IT guy. Today I tried to show her the keyboard shortcut to cut and paste and she yelled "No! I don't want to know!" :D

They are all like that, there must have been some sort of Apple herpes virus going around in the 80s that infected all of academia...

  4. Did I tell you about the time I nearly burned the building down because I wanted to disinfect some surgical instruments? And don't get me started on slippery door handles, steps that appear out of nowhere, loud sounds that make you jump and drop radioactive material in glass vials... I think there's a chapter in the safety manual dedicated to listing all the new dangers people discover because of me :D

  5. ^You amateur, you make fun of him now he'll stop. You praise him and encourage to make more videos and you can make fun of him for years.

    Pffft. Learn to pace yourself.

Sherban, amazing! I have tears in my eyes, that was so beautiful.

  6. ^Those limitations stem from practical considerations, not xenophobia and fear-mongering. At work we're not supposed to have our hair down if it is longer than shoulder length (at least not while the safety inspector is around!). To be honest a niqabi would be a walking safety violation :D

  7. LOL@ Chocolate, ma ila aragtay.

Sayid, it's also emasculating if your wife carries the groceries at all. Much better for you to make multiple trips for the bags.

Hello trollers! Where's Ibti, she's in way too many serious discussions outside the troll corner. Her troll meter is running dangerously low

  8. On the contrary Johnny, Ibti's position is the least busybody-like of you all!

Layzie seems to be all gung-ho for banning things (then let's ban ice cream since there are other sources of dietary calcium), Raamsade insisted he be "allowed" to march over to women to tell them off for their choice in attire, you seem to be entirely convinced that women only wear the burka if they are forced.

Ibti's saying live and let live. Is that really so hard for you all to grasp?

  9. What is a bounce-booty? Seems like something one would need community support for.

    *Stands up, clears throat*

"Hello, my name is Cara and I have... bounce booty. It started innocently enough, as a jiggle-booty last year, then became a wobble-booty when I ignored the problem, and now I can't go outside for fear of being arrested."

*Sits back down, after many attempts finally remains in seat*

  10. Yes yes of course Ibti and Juxa :(

*throws away basketball novelty items bought from the dollar store*

Ibti, I guess I'll settle for the next best thing, you come over and we'll have fun anyway. There's a squirrel doing some crazy stuff in the backyard that you will find hilarious for at least 30 minutes.

LOL @ Johnny, all the more reason to pirate DVDs then. Is membership in the Pirate Party open to foreigners? I feel nothing will give me cred as a Somali like being a card-carrying pirate will.

  11. Er, Ibti I have a better idea. Why don't we both go and stay with the rich basketball player?? We can get in at least a week of shopping and spa treatments before he catches on.

I can even pretend to understand sports if necessary ("so, wasn't it impressive how Smith scored a touchdown all the way out in left field? I've never seen someone dribble the ball with such grace!")

Juxa puhlease, you yourself are a workaholic but for the rest of Britain a grueling workday is not getting a 3 hour lunch or staying past 4 pm

  12. Juxa speaking of luuqad I really struggled to parse that sentence. Maaxina maxuu ahaa baan ku wareeray.

Hello trollers, lol@ Chubacka. Let me check my iGoogle "Quote of the Day" section:

"My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was sixty. She's ninety-seven now, and we don't know where the hell she is." Ellen DeGeneres

  13. True Baluug, but remember, one of the identifying features of a sijui is they get mad if you question their Somalinimo, just look at CL here icon_razz.gif

Another way to tell is that they get really flustered if you ask them to abtirsi (basically recite their genealogy backwards, hope you haven't neglected to teach your kids about their great-great grandfather Todd from Labrador and his many exploits).

Any millionaires on SOL should contact me ASAP, I have some great news for them about the results of the Nigerian National Lottery (don't you remember buying a ticket?)

The civility you're refering to has routes in religion does it not? Or was Europe a shining example of 'civility' before Chritianity (mainly) and Islam (The Moores) reached it's shores?
Wait Norf, are you suggesting that Europeans didn't have any religions before converting to Christianity? I think that might be news to them!

  15. I always resolve to do that (cooking for the week), but come Sunday evening I get too lazy

So what have you been convincing people of? Is some poor Faarax swimming the English Channel looking for mermaids?

  16. What's so bad about what he did, if she is some random chick throwing water at him? Are they married? Is she wearing sunglasses indoors to hide a black eye? Was this a demonstration of his fast reflexes?

I need someone to translate this video so I can decide how I feel!
