I wonder if one sees this lifiting of the Arms embargo for what it is ... a back routine to root out the Islamic courts. It will mean Ethopia will freerly arm the TFG with the blessings of the International Community and we know this is only a ticket for further fighting in Somalia. ( a guaranteed face-off between the TFG and courts ) What good will lifting the Arms ban bring, both factions will be supplied with heavy artirilies and chaos, destruction and more civlian deaths for the next few years will be the only outcome It is clear here the the Anti-Islamists aim to use the TFG as a force to defeat the rising of the courts. As to those to try to argue the Arms ban is preventing the depoloyment of peacekeeping troops are wrong, how come it did not stop the Americans and UN army being deployed in '93. I hope these new develepments are countred by those who 'really' want peace in Somalia. If this people get their wish then once again it will be the Somalia people who will pay the ultimate prize in their thousands and peace will be put back for another good few years once again.

ME while i fully concur with that you saying, your questions are completly irrelevant at the moment to the political situation of Somalia at the moment. So concentrate your energy on more pressing matters, -

^^ Me, if am right this topic did not begin with Berbera port , you posted an outdaded letter of which its authenticity is disputed. If you want a debate on particular aspect of Somaliland policy then post it clearly, so far is all based on hearsy deals. -

Sometimes i wonder what is the purpose of such topics like this. It does not increase ones knowledge nor does it provide a healthy debate on how best to solve Somli's many problems. Nor is it humerous and innocent topic. You can just guess the replies will go back and forth, don't you get bored or feel ashamed in accusing each other for no apperant reason. -
^^^ Bro i think the knowledge of Islam amongst the young ones who grew up in the West is quite healthy and gnererally know more about the deen then their own parents. While there are some fanastic parents who natured their kids well, most children here tend to find their own feet and take upon themselves to better their future lives. So for you paint an image of utter iggonorance in Islam amongst the Somali youth is wrong. Also the trend shows those who find it difficult are the ones that arrived here in their earlly teens and are often playing catch up or go astray. While those born or arrived here at a very young age understand the system here and know whey they fit in.

A fanatastic contrast of opinions amongst the above posters, cleansen your heart and mind brothers before you start to comment on what is best for the Somali people,

^^ Actually the best player vote was carried out at half-time, now there will a great hooraah as to the legality of his sending off, its clear the fourth official used video replays b4 advising the ref which is IILEGAL, but FIFA will make sure the situation is hushed down pretty quicly.

^^ So your kids will be fab looking. So if Ugly parents = Beatified kids and vice versa it raises a dilema, do u choose an uglly wifey so ur kids can look good or be selfish and and choose a pretty face for urself, the kids will have to worry of themselves. wish it was that simple a formula.
-
Ok, you got the attention miss know it all. But has ever crossed your mind that beauty so much cherish comes from a Somali men, think naahedhe is the Somali men that have beautifull duaghters, so if u so much wanna continue that trend you need to stick with your Somali men. Otherwise go and expriment and see how how your kids will look like when mixed with whatever u wanna mix with.

Salut! monsuer ZiZiou, you stood for your standards and thats the best way to go out, that Italian will remember you next time he tries to insult a player of your kind. You dazzeled, glided and dribbled your way to glory, you kicked, headed and charged like a bull to the goal and to insulting players. You sacrificed the ultimate prize for your princibles and honour. Zidane i salute you as you bowed out in the biggest stage of them all and the moment belongs to YOU, it is YOU that they will rememeber in that sticky night in Berlin, its YOU that the world talks of today and fills the coloum pages of all newspapers of the world, its YOUR picture passing the world cup that is imprinted on the the front pages and not that of the Italians. They may have taken the Prize but u are focal point of this Final, it is your Final and its YOU did what YOU had to do.

YOu can come to the West with nothing but the clothes you wearing and in the span of a single generation accumulate wealth and prestige beyond your wildest dreams based on merit alone! LOOL @ S.B, Who are you kiddin here, the class system in the West is paramount to your futute success, from a young age you family's placing in the class heirachy will determine which school you attend and under which envronment ( inner -city, over-populated halls for the working class kids' as compared to the greener open-spaced pulic schools for the the privilaged kids) , that earlly head start means ones' future can be easilly predicted but for the few that brake the system and as they say it 'make it good'. Rayaana sis Triblism is part and parcel of the Somali way of life and an open discussion of how it shapes the political, social and economical sitiation is Somalia can be only be a good thing,

Salaam all Am sure this may have been discussed here b4. Every nation, well at least here in the UK a class system of some sort exists, the Working through to the Estaplishment itself. So i wonder if Somalia has similar hierachy. On the face of it it does not seem clear, but does Tribal class system exist. Is one Tribe more dominant than others in terms of wealth and power, it would seem so looking at the current climate in Somalia. But then again if the Somali class system is based on Triblism it would dedeat the purpose of a class system, whereby the general rule is, the higher the class is less populus it is, where in Somali the the more Populas the tribe is the more powerfull they are, well at least in most cases. But lets expolore this perharps touchy subject, are some Tribes more educated in terms of Diinul Cilm or wordly matters than others ? in other words are some tribes naturally more auited to govern the country than others? I hope u all get where am coming from wasalaam

The only reason people say it good 2 get married at a such young age its becoz they are taking advantage of ur innocence,!!! At the end of the day, married people wants u to suffer like them!!!! As they say “misery loves company†I know a lot of married people but I cant say I know one happy married couple! Can any u? anywho, i wish u all the best I take it u part of the 25+ unmarried Xaliimo project, and now u wishing u got hitched while u were still naive and freshy, the above statement is an attempt on ur part to bring some justification of why one joins the 25+ singelton project, is in the human nature to defend their situation in any given moment. And ladies please stop spreading the biased gloom picture u paint of married Somalis, is just as if u are seeking further justification of why one still single, just because u have not found the right person for u has nothing to do with married people who may or may not be happy. Now 1st lady, sis u are doing the right thing in realising that u need to get married and making that a priority and am sure u are wise enuff to spot the right person for u inshallah, he maybe closer than u think so give ur local dudes a chance. And the rest of u calaf-seekers straighten up and be real, we Somali guys are more sophisticated than u assume us to be and have ways of spotting the best cattle,
