  2. Mohammad bro. The great promise was the promise we children of Adam had collectively given to Allah before being born, we were souls at that time, and Allah has taken all of Adams progeny on a single ground and asked them to confirm " Am I Not Your Lord?" we all said yes, that promise is the single material witness on all of humans that they are not allowed to take others beside their creator as a soverign they give unquestionable authority over their lives. Allah further says that He took this auth from us so that some people may not say as an excuse that they didnt know any better, as they have followed their lost folk. The gist: Tawhiid is an imbedded trait in humans like migration is imbedded in Salmon. So, committing shirk even when there is no trace of a devine message, out of ignorance is not excusable. It is possuble that an eskimo makes to paradise while some Somali Nomads dont, why? because the Eskimo fisherman who hasa never heard of any devine revelation has never corrupted his innate tawheed of Allah, he worships none but Allah, but in his own way and its acceptable to Allah. 8. Kashaafa Bro. Indeed these verses go far beyound the weakening of the iimaan, they predict that iimaan could be lost and Nifaaq ( Hypocracy) can be be permanently stamped on our hearts if we willingly disobey Allah or if we renege from a promise we made to Allah SWT when we were crossing the Kenyan border on foot braving the jungles, and its dangers and supplicating to Allah that if Allah saved our souls that we would be hear and obey, but as soon Allah saved us and provided safe refuge for us in Melbourne or Helsinki, we forget all about past promises and ignore Allah at will, no wonder so many Nomads are finding themselves to have lost the luster of iimaan. Mohammad bro. That was a some good roasted bunn beans! I am sure Nomads are still hungry for this stuff please share some more, just when I wanted to take more, the disg was empty. Nur
  9. Mohammad bro Easy bro, your questions are so thought provocative, let me try them : first question; hmm... I have the image of a phone loosing its signal as it moves farther away from it's base station. Answer: Base station is the Masjid, connected to Allah, the more we drift away from masjid or salaat, the weaker the iimaan signal gets and fades when Nomads migrate to Wichita and beyound. The Anti Islamic media is the snake, its eating its own tail by dessiminating false info, as many people discover islam by curiosity to expose the media lies. I prefer Aikido to Judo, at this stage, what we need to learn is how to fall safely without getting hurt, how to obsorb blows without losing our teeth, to get going , going and going like the Energizer batteries bunny, this principle is called Sabr in islam. Nur
  10. Salaams Nomads First of all, I want to express that I love you all in Allah, that love accomodates those who have a grudge or two against me for my views, I pray that Allah SWT cleansens our intentions so they are as pure as snow flakes on pine trees in January. Its Ramadan, and most of us are busy with Ibadah at night and work in the day, which takes a lotta energy but aids the soul and the imagination. I want you to join me here at this imaginitive tea shop, where we can discuss diverse topics, which at first I wanted to write complete article, but due to the scarcity of available time, I opted to treat as a Ramadan tea time chat, kinda laid back. My problem is mainly time, but alhamdulillah, like asteroids, i get bombarded with ideas to write about, for example last Ramadan I posted ten topics, but i have only delivered three, my score says it all 3 out of 10 is no good, so, this time, I think up until i get the time, I should become an initiator of the topic, then sit back and observe how Nomads cook the idea. Questions of the day: 1. What makes our iimaan weak? hint, please read Tawbah 75-77 and share your thoughts. 2. Brothers and Sisters busy in the Dawa work are all seeking Allahs pleasure, but not all of their efforts are accepted, why? Hint, please read the story of Habil and Qabil in Quraan, draw a parallel and come to a conclusion, do you have a remedy to the enmity of Adaawah and baghdaa between brothers and sisters in faith? 3. Rabbi Ka Cabso, iyo Rag Iska Celi, Isku Meel Ma Gasho ( Somali Proverb) , Is Violence an answer to solving problems? how can one play by the rules when everyone else seems to be cheating? they say, if its is good enough to have it, its good enough to cheat for, so, how can a Muslim who abides by Allahs rules, play ball with a Machiavellian world in which lies and deception are the norm, framing the innocent is a mean, and changing public opinion is the goal? your thoughts are apprecciated after iftaar of course, to be precise, after the first course, the bur and Sambuusi. 11. Grammaticus Your tagline is interesting: I am the gas station attendant of the mind. Who am I? Let me take a shot at it. The Mind needs nutrition for energy, which requires a depository from which it can draw that fuel, and the fuel has to be attended by an attendant who knows how to fill the mind with the fuel so the mind can go places. The fuel of the mind is iimaan The Depository of fuel is observation of life The Nutrition of the mind is Thinking The attendant of the fuel station is Love of Allah. Nur
  12. Socod Badane writes "what the world would be like without them" ? Answer: No world I guess, the world as we know it would seize to exist, my understanding is that the world was created for the sole purpose of worship of Allah, its because of these people you redicule that you are safe from annihilation by Allah, they are busy seeking Allahs forgiveness everyday for everybody, while most are busy in disobedience to their creator, a wise person does not cut the cord that sustains his life. 13. Suurah Al Racd Reflections ( Tadabbur) ALIF LAAM MIIM RAA These were the components and letters of the Arabic language, the secret of this code is only known to Allah SWT. These are indeed the verses of the Book, and waht has been revealed to you ( Mohamed) from your Lord are the Truth, but most people do not believe. The author of this written book being the same as the author of the astonishing book of nature around you, the designer and originator of the universe and its captivating flawless structure without any visible columns that support the blue membrane hovering over our heads that gives us the protection from the radiation of outer space. Who made the sun and the moon that we see every day work for us to sustain life on earth creating the tides, rain, seasons, greenery and crops. Imagine if your power company charged you for these services? a power service more reliable than California's energy companies and much cheaper than Kaaraans diesel generator one lamp per house hold rates. What amazes me in these verses is how these seemingly separate verses are well connected if we pay close attention to their structure. As we have noted previously, the beginning of the Surah was the secret code of Alif Laam Miim Raa, letters that only Allah SWT knows what they stand for. Allah SWT tells us that these verses are part of the book that was revealed from Allah SWT, and the fact that this revelation is indeed the truth from Allah SWT yet most people are bent on disbelief about their origin. Interestingly, the same author of this great book happens to be the author of the larger three dimensional book of life and the universe that surrounds us. What a good feeling then to know the awesome wisdom and power of Allah SWT and his kindness to us by honoring us with such words of wisdom to show us how insignificantly small we are compared to the visible universe of some 128 Billion Galaxies, each containing billions of stars of all sizes, planets and satellite clouds, moons and heavenly bodies. Not even counting the dark matter suspended between the visible spectrum, possibly containing more matter than our meager telsecopes can capture. The author of this book is so wise that he has separated the canopy of gases that protect us from harmful solar rays , separating it from the surface of the earth on which we are born, grow and die. That beautiful blue membrane filter lets useful Solar rays penetrate to provide heat, rain, rivers, vegetation and food, while the moon provides light and decoration in addition to a guidance milestone and the tides that help the oceans absorb necessary gasses for the living colors beneath acting as a giant biological filtration system for the biosphere we call home. at the same tim, That blue membrane canopy blocks harmful rays while Allah SWT supports this canopy with invisible pillars that keep the gasses float to form a sophisticated roof over our heads. Allah SWT did all of that and more than we can imagine without getting tired and afterwards he was well placed on top of his throne, marking his absolute power and wisdom which dwarfs our meager intelligence and imagination. But today, we can see with our other eyes of science and technology what the Arabs could not see 1400 years ago with their bare eyes, we can see the planet us a whole, As Somalis, we can see the horn of Africa the place where our ancestoral parents called home, grazing their camels, and living their simple life that was so much dependent on the natural elements of sun and moon, a magnificent duo who play the revolving role of day and night " Yughsiil leilaa nahaara" we can further take off from our homes in Somalia to the ends of the planet, or the edge of the universe with ease from the comfort of our living rooms, watching TV programs like Discovery Channnel, we can visit the rainforest and its exotic biosphere, the savannah and the survival of the fittest, the tundra and the grizzly bears, deserts and the the animals that live in a 50 plus tempreture environment creatures like the camel and snakes, the icy poles and the toxedo dressed penguins, oceans and rivers, volcanoes, underneath aquifers and more all of them testifying unity of Allah with their diversity a non challengeable testaments of the greatness of Allah SWT and a sign post reading : " So You May be certain of your eventual and assured reunion with your ceator" to be questioned of what we have done with the opportunity that was granted to us and the natural furniture we were given as a means of meeting our duties to our maker. Now, that is not all, the surah hits yet on another amazing scientificly natural occurence, the shape of our planet, a fact not well known by Arabs or non Arabs at the time, Allah SWT explains how he sustains life on earth, begining with the ideal shape and spacial location of our planet which is suspended in the milky way, a planet that is so well positioned from the distance of the sun on an elliptical path that provides for a temprature range that sustains life on earth, creatuing the seasons, and the suspension of gasses that are needed like oxygen and nitrogen , just the right mixture to sustain life, yet not creating explosions if the 21 percent content of oxygen was surpassed. With the diversity that we have discussed, Allah says " Wa huwa alladee maddal arda" " It is he who had extended the earth", meaning that the extension of the earth to all directions maximizing the surface area requires a spherical shape, but with that extension and expansion, Allah SWT placed on the surface of our planet peaks and valleys so gravity can do its work along with the temprature in creating flowing rivers and pastures necessary for sustaining life on earth, in the form of fruits and the food chain, Allah created pairs, of so that each creature Allah SWT creates finds its allotted Rizq share and play its role and purpose willingly in the case of Muslims, or unwillingly in the case of the unbelievers. Wht did I say so much explaining the fisrt three verses of Suratul Al Racd: Becoause they are " La Aayatin liqowmin yatafakaruun" they are milestones for a folk who use their heads to think about the meaning of creation and life to home-in to toward their maker by apprecaiating and loving him enough to worship him as he deserves. 14. Salaams Nomads The following is a rendition I posted on another thread, as a light hearted answer to Mrt. Bashir Goethe. Bashir is not a bad guy, just religiously challenged who needs vision correction, so let ys show tolerance. As promised, This thread provides a treatment clinic for Nomads who have lived in the west for too long, to the point of believing that western and pagan lifestyles to be closer to Somali culture than Islam is. A case in point is an article posted here on these pages by Tony Montana and written by Bashir Goethe ( Somali German Poet?) Scenario: Nurtel Opticians Examination Room. Nur: Good morning Bashir Goethe: Good Morning Nur Nur: I understand that you are suffering from vision problems, that you can not reconcile the fact that Somalis are Muslims without having any need to pray, fast or go to Hajj, You also seem sympathetic to Sufis, you think that Sufi Music is great, specially if we mix a little bit of Jazz and bluies, from Lousiana. Look like black babtis church choir to me. Bashir: That is right Nur, let me add to it that I am very furious about womens plight in Somaliland, that our women have to wear this medieval rags on their heads when they can wear the latest fashion from Paris and London, dresses designed by Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, and diplayed by beautiful women like our great Somali Model iimaan ( you see Nur, she has iimaan without wearing anything at times). I also have problem accepting this brand of islam that I have never knbown that came from Saudi Arabia, because I feel our indiginous homegrown Islam to be far better than this cut throat vicious Islam that allows no fun at all, like dating girls, dancing and drinking foaming camel milk, I mean I am annoyed at these neo Muslms who have changed my religion that tolerated me even if I claim to be a God , as long as I do not preach it in public ( although that is also against freedom of expression), because, too much Camel Milk can make you feel like you are a God of sorts, you know caano ciir iyo qaad what they can do to a fun loving guy like me. Nur, I miss the good old days, before the Waxda guys came to our corner grocery shop near daanta Reer Qudhac of Kalabaydhka, and started their march to win over the hearts of our women, now, most beautiful women are all hijaabified, you cant't sit outside your balcony to enjoy looking at the body curves of our beatiful women, they wear Abaya from Saudi, it is too bad. You see Nur, religion back then was great, we used to date girls and still had great faith in Allah, we never prayed , but we were ideal Muslims, because Islam, was ingrained in our blood, we had no need of showing it in public, so we only had fun in public, and once in a blue moon we prayed at funerals, because that was the only time we feared Allah. Nur: OK Bashir Goethe, so do you think that Somali Islam was better than Wahaabi islam? Bashir Goethe: You see NUR, " Depending on your view of history, since Somalis embraced Islam at the time of the Prophet or shortly after his death, it never clashed with the local culture in terms of clothing, eating and going about their ordinary life. Once it settled in the heart" You see Bro, Arabs have threatened our culture, like the Dirac, and the three piece suits, so, women wear abaya, and some crazy wadaads wear saudi Thawb and Ghutrah and Cigaal. what a shame. why can't they wear Cerruti suits? Nur: So, you think that Somali culture is the epitome of Islam in its purest form, since our culture and Islam are the same thing? Bashir Goethe: That is correct Bro, in our Somali culture, Islam is part of our culture, and the only measure of our faith is the QALB, the heart, so no action is needed to show our faith, just inside beleif, it is the wahhabis who added deeds to islam, Islam according to Somali culture needs no deeds. because like I say " The heart was clean and nothing else had mattered much " and in my opinion, mixing with girls is no orgy although we called it in Hargeisa "Geeresh" and fashion is good even if a girl has to wear a transparent dirac, showing her breast which she needs to show so her child can easily find ger breast, because these transparent Kaneebo Brand Dirac manufactured in Japan and imported in Jabouti to be sold in Hargeisa are 100 Islamic compliant, because Islam encourages beauty, am i correct bro? 15. WOL Jazaakellahu Khairan sis, I have just prayed for you, ( see I told you, by moderating you have accepted the risk of Nomads making duaa for you). I just want to add couple of my insights I posted on other threads. A Thrilling Ride Suuratl Caadiyaat This Work was triggerred by a request of Brother Thunder, a fellow Nomad of Somaliaonline Islam Discussion boards, who asked me to shed some light on this Surah. I first read the Surah quickly to grasp the gist of it, for more insight, I reviewed it again, However no matter how many passages I read, a critical link was missing between the first part of the Surah and the conclusion, a real challenge for ulul albaab. In my search for clues, I referred to three different Tafaaseer, Al Tabari for the different narrations and their weights, , Ibnul Katheer for his smooth explanation, and for a deeper inspiration, I delved into the eloquence of the Dhilaal al Quraan ( Shades of The Quraan ) Unfortunately, I was unable to find the connection of the thrilling opening verses with the sobering last verse. After I gave up, Allah SWT opened up a gate of knowledge to enter, in order to see the connection of the first and the last, I could not help but hit the floor to thank Allah SWT in joy for showing me the subtle but critical link of the verses Subhaanallah, Alhamdulillaah and Allahu akbar what a hidden treasure did I find today, A Friday, a day in which Muslims flock to the mosques all over the word to hear words of admonition so they can stay on the siraatul mustaqeem course. Allahumma Salli calaa Sayyiddinaa Muxammad wa calaa Alihi wa saxbih wa sallim. Bismillahi Arraxmaani Arraxiim The Thriller Ride. For those Nomads who can relate to our baadiye setting ( duullaan, ama weerar dagaal colaad ah), or for those westernized Nomads who had the fun visiting Medieval Times theme parks in California, enjoying a nice meal of chicken served on copper dishes, while two horsemen fight like the Romans. Imagine sleeping in your tents early morning when at at dusk, you wake up amid dreadful sounds and sights of an enemy. The sounds of fast breathing and approaching horses, raising clouds of dust behind them while at the same time, sparking static fire with their hoofs as they hit the dry terrain at high speeds sending shockwaves of fear all around your body, and suddenly, you are butt naked and face to face with the enemy horsemen. But suddenly, when you as a frightened person see the enemy horses standing right above your mattress ( Fa wasatna bihi jamcan), and stare at these horsemen brandishing shining swords, you realize that your end is near, and now you begin to seriously think about your past intentions and motives of all your deeds. ( End of Primo Scenario) And here we find the secret connection. MOTIVES BEHIND OUR DEEDS The above scenario " Wal caadiyaati dhabxan, fal mughiiraati subxan, fa atharna bihi naqcan, fa wasatna bihi jamcan............" this swift description of sound, motion and action is a Allah's way throughout the Quraan to get our attention, or " Dhaar" is we say in Somali in which Allah swears by his creatures or their actions as in this case, similar to " Falaa uqsimu bi mawaaqici al nujuum, wa innahu la qasamun low taclamuuna cadhiim " , however what startled me was that this " Weerarka arooryeed" was done in the way of Allah SWT in Jihad, a form of struggle that was triggerred my a motive, because once the motives were set, the horses were set in motion, folowed by sound of fast breathing Arabian horses, their hoofs raising sparks of fire and a dust behind their tails, all for a purpose. Now many earthily years pass by in a state of oblivion, and all in a sudden, you find yourself once more standing naked in front of your maker in the day of judgment, you show up again just like how you were created in the first place, naked, helpless, and humbled. Now imagine yourself hearing these words of wisdom: " Man is indeed unthankful to his lord" (Kanood) , meaning, ungrateful person ( Calooshii la cayaar) who only counts misfortunes, but never appreciates goodness, nor thanks his lord for it. Being ungrateful all your life, you have never felt that you owe Allah anything that you have, because in arrogance you've felt that you did it alone without Allah's help, and as a result, all of what you have earned was rightfully yours alone, never recognizing that all along Allah was making all your successes possible, by prodding you to succeed and providing you with an intricate health maintenance system, a calculating mind, sheer " coincidences or are they?" and guardian angels to look after your safety up until the moment of truth fast approached, enemy horsemen keen to take away your unworthy life with a swift piercing sword right through your heart, ouch!. Your nature of ungratefulness over the years had triggered many actions that worked contrary to Allah's commandments, because the underlying motives behind your actions were an insatiable love for wealth, power and prestige, contempt for those less fortunate than you are. After close examination of your life, you also recognize that you are a key witness over yourself of how precious you've over valued your material possessions that blinded you from your eventual confrontation with your Lord. Oh NO! Enter the opening ceremonies of the day of judgment when graves will split open, releasing their subdued captives and their accompanying manifests of their past deeds , stern angles examine you files to prepare for your hearing in front of an impartial judge, no matter how many evil deeds that you have concealed, your Lord , that day, ( Like any other day) is well aware of your motives and deeds for a just verdict that will rest your case forever, in happiness or in agony. Luckily, that is all in the future, and the present is in your hands, so take my advice, change your ways, before you are chained!. Nur 2004 e-Nuri Nomadic Dawa Service Powered By Quraan and Sunnah
  16. Rahima sis You write: ".... but on this one Nur no one can ever convince me otherwise. I’ve come to this conclusion from experience very close to home Walaalo, Experience is as good if the future is as predictable as the past. e-Nuri thinks that you are not showing patience when speaking for your own choice, because patience comes with wisdom, wisdom in turn comes with time, as we grow, we outgrow many concepts we held to be solid, looking back at our past, we can envy what we could have done differently only if we knew what we know today, its wise never to close windows of possibilities, as long as they are halaal, lest one day we find our selves in favor of it. Again, walaalo, e-Nuri thinks if the right guy from Al Lowxul Maxfuuz comes along, it would not be your decision to accept , you will be hypnotized, next thing we know, Rahima transformed, is now an advocate and advisor for the dreaded institution, well who can better defend such an institution then someone who wouldnt consider it. Ramadan (Q A)

Northner Distance that must covered for it to be defined as travel is not am exact science, there are a lot of definitions, my best definition is the following: Any travel away from place of dwelling that is known as travel in your culture, place or time. Because driving from one side of Los Angleles to the other could easily be 80 km, but it is all in a day at work. Likewise what used to be travel a century ago is no lobger travel today. Bashi bro. In Riba deals, money earned from Riba is haram, but there is a big question of what qualifies as money earned from Riba deal. If you pay interest is not as you receive interest, both are Haram, but when one recieves interest he has earned haram, while the one who paid interest has his principal halal although he dealt haram. Now, this tax offsetting the riba is a joke, i know of a guy who said he has two bank accounts, halal and haram accounts, when he goes for haram fun he uses the haram money, when he goes to pay sadaqah or he goes for Makkah , he uses halal money. These people are just adding insult to an injury. Safe Guy The best way to rectify or to dispose of haram earned wealth is the following: 1. Give it back to the owner 2. If not able, give it to a charity, you do not get an ajar for the money, the owner does, you get an ajar for repenting. Nur
  18. Rahima sis You write: " Say no of course. This my brother is a no-brainer. I do not like such a marriage for myself and unless it is nabiga or the companions I could not care any less how great the brother is. It may seem unreasonable to some but this is the choice I am making for myself, and like i said it is my right " Of course no Nomad should attempt this feat, e-Nuri and associates categorically warn Nomads against such a thoughtless attempt, its only for illustration. For the sake of scenario planning though and mental acrobatics, just in case one of the Nomads on this forum gets carried away and actually violates my advice, and he has spent rainy days an nights endlessly in front of your house, getting media coverage like that antiwar lady in front of the Whitehouse, he rents one of the billboards on your way and puts his sincere messages, everyday you pass by this guy who is quite a scene, and you decide to move away to a diffrenet neighborhood, but he follows you around, you call the police, and they confirm his freedom of expression, knowing you from your wrigtings, I am sure that if he never gives up, that you would have a change of heart, specially after he wins your mom and dad over by his kindness ( he volunteers to mow their lawn and offers them to help, and they tell you ( Duco iyo habaar kala dooro ?), now, your respected Imam feels bad, Cag bakayle shakes his head in disbelief, what about your Mommy and daddy? after all your name is Rahima, not Iron Lady, Can you still stick to your guns? and how much do all those people weigh against your wishes? Again, This is one of my borderline Serious jokes, @ e-Nuri, where Nomads wouldnt know what is real from what is an illusion 2005 e-Nuri Ideas Almost Nothing Is Impossible If You Try

Safe Guy saaxib Delaying Salaat is permitted for the Travelling, heavy rain or snow storms or any lifethreatening situation. Uless you are afraid for your safety (Safe Guy), its a great idea to perform prayer in full view of fellow students on Campus, here are the benefits: 1. It serves Dawa, some of the students will ask you about Islam, some may revert to Islam, you earn a great reward saving a single soul. 2. Women on campus will get the message that you are not looking for haram business, this relieves you of their advances 3. Yoh feel great Nur

Firts its an attention getter, second , if your read this line: So, if you are smart, you will stop thinking about sins, if you still enjoy your sins, let us visit the exciting horror show next ( No munchies allowed at this hall) The idea is in that paragraph, sins are no fum at all, their price is indeed unbearable (literally) Thanks for the comment though Nur
  22. Sheherezad sis Nur, I don't know why u posted this. It doesn't work. Satire it is not. I'm only responding to this since u've dedicated it to me and I have a chronic be-polite disease . Dear Shaherezad, sorry to come short of your expectations, i only posted this to back up a response I posted earler in the Topic " Iman Octane" in Islam section, in which you voiced your dissatsifaction with the unfairness of addressing women only, like we say in Somali " Wixii xunba Xaawaa Leh" Please be free to delete the entire Topic, it was for you and Caano Geel, and the message is received. Nur
  23. Caano Geel You write: " that my mother and wider Somali society has prepared me for nothing other than being the hollow shell of a chauvinist, as incapable of realising or expressing his feelings as a wild animal.. " Well, your holding the stick from the middle, heads i win, tails you loose? since you are on record accusing me of being a sexisit, this was to illustrate that: 1. Nur is not a sexist 2. That Chauvenism exisits in our culture 3. A humor piece. You write: " you suggest that we be domesticated/distracted with the clever use of household chores ." Bro. loosen up, I suspect you have work related tension, its undserstandable, Yes I honestly do, for a good segment of Somali males, I am a retrained graduate. You write: " Now by conjecture what your telling me is that our poor women folk's role is defined by domestication and are living in the debauchery of our lack of it ." Not all brother, again, but household work is not evenly shared in many Somali homes, although women are bread winners just like men. You write: " Further this degeneracy has nothing to do with a lack of economic, political, educational, health, social or religious equality, just whether we wash the dishes, are buff enough to obviously adequately vacuum the caves we live in or can lay of the qaad and ciggies long enough to put in a half-days work... sounds plausible " Brother e-Nuri has treated al of the aeas you have mentioned, a visit to our archives will show you how many serious topics we have covered, from polygamy, politicians and Anarchists, It goes without saying that Religion is an e-Nuri mission on these boards You write: " Now I'll tell you what, if you think it will help me and my fellow animals gain a deeper understanding of the situation, I'll be Nasra for you, and you just work on the definition of that 'sexist' bit ... " I looked up the meaning of the word 'SEXIST", here is what I found: Contempt shown for or discrimination against a particular sex, usually by men of women, based on prejudice or stereotype. Where in my writings have I shown contempt for women? in all fairness, i may not be aware of it if its is in me, unless you show me. I have no respect for a sexist, but I have respect for myself, I hope you understand. 25. Rahima sis Speaking about the dreaded polygamy, you write: I accept that it is xalaal but I don’t have to be part of such a marriage I agree wholeheartedly walaal, you have a choice of the type of relationship you want to be a part of, just like food, you eat what you want. My question to you is, let us say a brother is dying to marry you, he is very impressed with your mental judgements, views, outlook in life and character, he happens to be happily married with children and he managed to get an unconditional approval and blessing from his first wife who is well known for piety and great character, his record as a husband and father is immaculate, his life very balanced, financially well to do, active in community, his deen is witnessed by the local imaam as an examplary, he travelled from Massachussetts to Melbourne to ask for your hand, when he finally met you, at first glance, he came across as the kinda person you would accept in a hurry, but then, he told you about his wifey and family and seriously proposed to you, armed with Tazkiya from your local Islamic teacher and uncle Cag Bakayle Chief of reer Qansax back in Somalia and everyone in between he throws his hat and asks you humbly to marry him, adding that he is ready to accept anything as long as it is a "YES", determined that if you decline that he would camp right infront of your apartment building peresistently praying in public view all of Ramadan until you accept, what would you do?
