Mr. Olmert As the practical leader of the Planet Earth, I ask your cooperation in maintaining the peace in Somalia. Mr. Prime Minister, as you have been following the news lately, the Islamic Courts of Somalia have liberated the country from the grip of the CIA supported anrchist warlords, the Islamic Courts have finally liberated the nation and the criminals are on the run, Mogadishu is the most peaceful city in the world and to maintain this peace we need assistance of a real world leader. The IGAD with the approval of the AU have declared war on poor Somalia, just when we thought that we can have peace, they are calling back their troops from Darfur ( they cant afford to pay their troops with salary paid by NATO, because most of it was deposited in Swiss Accounts of the African Leaders. Now the same corrupt African Leaders are coming to the aid of one of theirs, to get more money by maintaining poor people's misery cycle in Somalia ) in order to bring these troops to poor Somalia, which is guaranteed to flare up a civil war of unexpeted proportions, this time between Somalis and their neighbors, after this flare-up, all of East Africa may be inflamed just like Somalia, and if the uncontrolled fire continues, Africa will disintegrate, these fleeing Africans will take boats from the upper Nile and from Ethiopia's blue Nile to Egypt, Egypt will inflame, and the flame will reach Isreal in no time. Remember Martin Luther King's saying : " Injustice Anywhere is a Threat to Justice Everywhere " Since the TFG ( Transitional Federal Government of Somalia), is driven by Ethiopia, Ethiopia is driven by two members of the IGAD ( Kenya and Ethiopia), the IGAD is driven by the African Union, The AU is driven by the World Bank and NATO ( With Single Agenda), The World Bank is driven by the United Nations, the United Nations is driven by the USA, The USA is driven by the Neocons, The Neocons are driven by Israel, and Israel is driven by you. I ask you for once to stand up for justice, make the Islamists your friends for a change, not corrupt politicians, if you make the islamists in Somalia your friends and order Condoleeza to call Coffe Anan, to Call, Wolfowitz, to call Alpha Oumar Konaré, to Call, MWAI KIBAKI and Meles Zinawi, to STOP the Troop Deployment in Somalia, if you do that, I will assure you that Islamists will also have a change of heart, imagine, Israel making such a positive gesture, I also understand that what I am asking is quite expensive, as the military industry of Israel and USA will suffer losses for not shipping huge amounts of weapons to Africa , whcih in turn will strain your finances, but hey, Israel needs an image change in the Muslim world, why not start with Somalia? The benefit of Israel standing with the Islamic Courts and stopping the imminent war being triggererd by Ethiopia and Kenya, is as follows: 1. Islamists worldwide will look at Israel favorably, the rhetoric will become reconciliatory. 2. Muslims worldwide will purchase Isreali made goods which will make up for the losses from the Military hardware Israel sells to Africans who have more guns than food. 3. Isreal can become the Banking Center of the Middle East, a core competency for Israel can find an application right behind its backyard. Of Course, I am assuming that you will reach an equitable agreement with Hamas also, its impossible to have peace when your neighbors don't have it, short of trying to wipe them out like Hitler tried to do to your people unjustly, and you are a living proof that no one can oblitrate a race to extinction, if German War Efficiency failed that feat, I doubt anyone else can do it Regards Cag Bakeyle Jr. Former Somali Anarchist Now reconditioned peace maker 2006 eNuri Political Satires The Art Of Saying It, Without Actually ,,,,,Saying It

S.O.S bro. Its true that the Prophet SAWS taight that thought of a bad action is not punishable, until committed, which is alos the gist of the verse in Al Baqara :" O Lord, do not hold us accountable for (obligations) we are ill prepared to assume." However, ill thoughts of others can at time be punishable, Allah SWT says, " Some negative thinking of others can be a sin, hence punishable" To reconcile the two, we have: 1. Thinking and planning to commit a sin or a crime 2. Thinking ill of others The first falls in the realm of the Hadeeth, as it only concerns the person and his maker The second falls in the realm of the verse which Allah is warning that we should stay clear from ill thinking of others, as that may qualify for a chastisement from Allah SWT. It was reported that a pious scholar admitted that he did not make Tahajjud ( nightly voluntary prayers) for somje twenty years, which he realized after analysing the reason that it was a punishment from Allah SWT for a single sin: He said that one day as he entered a Masjid ( Mosque), he saw a man weeping in his supplication, a thought crossed his mind that the man was faking it as a show off. Now, we must realize that giving the benefit of doubt to others is an important aspect of islam Nur

Socod Badane in his default state writes: humans love life. When everything is smooth sailing, they feel no need for God. Now Socod Badane is speaking from his inner Default settings ( By His Creator, Allah) , when he perfectly agrees with the following verse of Quraan in Surah Al Zumar 8: {وإذا مس الإنسان ضر دعا ربه منيباً إلليه اً } Meaning: " When mankind is visited by a hardhsip, he calls upon his Lord supplicating, subdued and repenting to him ," Which is the default state of mankind, every person in distress with no apparent help on the way will resort to God, according to the above verse in Quraan, now let us see the reaction of this helpless person once he/she is out of danger and in prosperity ثم اذا خوله نعمة منه نسي ما كان يدعوا اليه من قبل و جعل لله أندادا Meaning, Afterwards, when (his Allah responds to his call and alleviates his hardship) and prosperity results(in the place of hardship), (Mankind) forgets his original distress call, and instead, he makes equals for Allah in (importance when it comes to his attention and obedience) Nur

Which of the two men is the leader of the greatest power on earth and which is the boss of a small client state? A visitor from another planet, attending the press conference in Jerusalem, would find it hard not to answer: Olmert is the president of the great power, Bush is his vassal . Olmert is taller. He talked endlessly, while Bush listened patiently. While Olmert anointed Bush with flattery that would have made a Byzantine emperor blush, it was quite clear that it is Olmert who decides policy, while Bush humbly accepts the Israeli diktat. And Bush's flattery of Olmert exceeded even Olmert's flattery of Bush . For those wealfare reciepients in London who bought their own homes during the Thatcher years' incentive program (to get off welfare and buy their council homes), some 20 years ago, and who paid 20 thousand pounds/ house, have houses worth 250 thousand pounds today. Reason real estate prices in UK is going up, up and away, is because of the influx of migrant capital chased away from unstable third world countries by UK and USA policies and the limited properties on sale in the market which is sustaining a steep rise of property prises for the past decade. But for the same price of that 250 gran house in London, a Nomad can buy an entire beach front village near Marka Caddey, complete with trees of coconuts, mango, papaya and bananas, in addition to a small twin engine Yamaha powered fishing leisure/boat in these prestine clean beaches, ...........that beats London Fog! innit? But Paradise is better in quality and longer in duration Wal aakhiratu kheirun wa abqaa Nur

Castro bro. you write: My point is, it is easy to associate wealth with faithlessness but an argument could be made that this is not always the case and that the poor and/or illiterate are just as likely, if not more, to be unbelieving as the rich. Precisely, not all cases of wealth lead to unbelief and arrogance, the Prophet Muhammad SAWS used to supplicate " Allahumma innii acuudu bika minal faqr wal kasal" O Allah I seek refuge to you from poverty and laziness ( precursor for poverty), in other traditions, it is reported that he said, That utter poverty leads to kufr (faithlessness) Nur

Castro bro. Thanks for contributing an interesting read, inshAllah I want to share my quick thoughts: 1. Allah SWT says in Quraan " Yaclamuuna Zaahiran minal xayaatil Dunyaa wa hum canil aakhirati Ghaafiluun. meaning: "They know the ZAAHIRAN ( Empirical facts) of the life on earth, while they are oblivious of the life to come ( Hidden GHAIB). 2. Allah also so says," wa maa uutiitum minal cilmi illaaa qaliilaa" meaning : ( Man) was not given knowledge, except for a little amount" 3. Allah SWT says: innal insaana la yadghaa, an ra'aahu istaghnaa. Meaning : Man indeed transgresses bounds (set for him by Allah) when he becomes wealthy. Knowledge leads to wealth, and wealth leads to transgression and faithlessness, as nations in the west become riicher materially, they are also becoming poorer spiritually by virtue of their own contempt and misunderstanding of their Christian religion which they have altered many times to suit their evolving lifestyles and desires. Now they are virtual prisoners of a secularism that they have inherited from an adultered religion that was falsified many times by Roman kings and their Jewsih allies ( Saint Paul). Christianity in its present form is a product of Jesus message + Roman Kings ploicies+ Jewsih falsification of the scriptures. Mix all of the above and you have Christianity which taught that the universe is flat and hanged Galilleo Galillei and other scientists for their observations. The current secular knowledge taught accross curriculums in Europe and North America has its roots in the earlier clash between the Church and state, in which education and politics were secularized, and for a good reason: The Church among many things was suffering from the following problems 1. The Bible contained scientific blunders, mistakes, errors and illogical teachings presented as the absolute word of God, eventhough non of the authors of the Bible was even known well enough beyound their first names ( Mark, Luke, etc), the authors were not God, but the Bible was presented as the word of God. 2. Socially, in the early part, the Church sided with the aristocrats and kings, allienating scientists and the working class, they sought to be the highest ruer of the land, thus the rebellion of the public and demand of separation of Chursh and state and the demand for secular Democracy in Europe and confinement fo Church to Sunday schools and charity work. From the above, The Christian west embarked on Scientific reasoning after losing trust in religious facts and teachings explaing the universe, creation and matter, which led to the cureent athiest leaning secular western thought that the Pope is referring to. When we look back in History, similar situations arose: 1. Pharoah of Egypt was leader of the most advanced nation on earth in terms of scientific and intellectual dimension, yet, a lowly Jew with a messge from God which he ironically raised in his own Pallace ended his legacy of supremacy and injustice. 2. Similarly, many nations mentioned in Quraan claimed supremacy through knowledge and challanged God, from the nation of Aad who said inj Quraan: Wa ammaa Caadun fastakbaruu fil ardi bi gheiril xaqi wa qaaluu man ashadduu minnaa quwaa..... meaning : As for (nation of) Aad, they have transgressed and claimed supremacy on earth (by saying) who is mightier than us" Allah says in Quraan " Have they not seen that Allah who created them in the first place is far mightier than they are. Knowledge is indeed power when its used to do good on earth, because all good is from Allah alone, there is no other source of good on earth period, in that sense if knowledge leads people to affluence and injustice by stealing poor people's resources and their exploitation, then, the mighty nations will follow the footsteps fo Pharaoh and the like. 1 & Only The topic has pieces of truth that partially explains the ever expanding web of deception that has taken place in the past as well as current events. As pieces of info are de-classified every 30 years, we learn what had happened, the article is loaded with interesting confessions and some bull, one needs patience to sift through the topic ( seen through the eyes of a westerner) in order to understand the drivers of current events before our eyes. Tukaale writes: I don't believe the notion that the Said Islamic groups have worked for and or acted in the interest of the west openly and publicly against the will of their poeple as the secular communists did before and still do now more than ever before... The writer is wrong to suggest that colonialists established the islamic groups to oppose the Nationalists. There a subtle suggestion here that teh nationalists were the good guys and the Islamic groups were the pro-colonialists. However, the reality is that the Islamic group in Egypt were a natural response of the collapse of the Caliphate in Turkey in 1924, but its also well known that the Colonialists have always sought and helped internal confrontation of their colonies, thus one can not rule out that they have planted agents who diverted these movements toward viloence and confrontation with Nationalists inorder to create anarchy just like they did it in Somalia and continue to do worldwide. The main idea in the article is that Colonialism is back in different colors but same goals, divide and rule, and breeding of anarchy to subjugate and cause failure of nations. Nur

Today's 'Islamic Fascists' Were Yesterday's Friends From the Muslim Brotherhood to Hamas: how the West and its allies created a layer of anti-secular radical Islamism. By Brendan O'Neill 08/29/06 "Antiwar" -- - According to President George W. Bush, America is at war with "Islamic fascists." Commentators who support Bush's military interventions also argue that the West faces new religious enemies who do not play by the old rules of warfare. Hezbollah (which literally translates as "Party of God") says its wants to obliterate Israel, and Hamas (an abbreviation of "Islamic Resistance Movement") has taken the reins of power in Gaza and the West Bank; meanwhile, al-Qaeda and its associates continue to carry out sporadic, scrappy attacks designed to restore the Islamic caliphate. All of this has led one British newspaper columnist to argue that there is a new "World War being waged by clerical fascism against free societies."

In a nutshell, the wars over state, territory, and politics that defined the Cold War era have given way to cosmic battles between "good" and "evil" - between a West apparently keen to defend secular, democratic values and its twisted opponents who prefer the idea of autocratic Islam.

This simplistic view of the new geopolitical landscape is deeply problematic. It overlooks the key role that the West played in nurturing radical Islamist groups, precisely as a means of isolating and undermining secular movements that were judged by Western governments to be too uppity or dangerous. Over the past 80 years and more - from Egypt to Afghanistan to Palestine - powerful governments in the West and their allies in the Middle East helped to create radical Islamic sects as a bulwark against secular nationalist parties or pan-Arabism. They gave the nod to, and in some instances funded and armed, Islamist movements that might challenge the claims of local anti-colonial, liberationist, or communistic outfits.

In other words, there is a deep and bitter irony in the West's current claims to be standing up to evil religious sects in the name of universal values. It was precisely the West's earlier disregard for secularism and democracy in the Middle East, its elevation of its own powerful interests over the needs and desires of local populations, which helped to give rise to a layer of apparently "evil" radical Islamism. What we have today is not a World War between a principled West and psychotic groups from "over there," but rather the messy residue of decades of Western meddling in the Middle East.

Duplicitous Western support for Islamist movements has a long and dishonorable history. In the early and middle 20th century, both British and U.S. intelligence supported the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, the group from which so many of today's radical Islamic sects - including Hamas and even al-Qaeda - have sprung. Indeed, in the 1920s, the British, then the colonial rulers of Egypt, helped to set up the Muslim Brotherhood as a means of keeping Egyptian nationalism and anti-colonialism in check. The immediate precursor to the Muslim Brotherhood was an organization called the Society of Propaganda and Guidance, which was funded and backed by British colonialists. In return, the Society provided Islamist backing to British rule in Egypt. It published a journal called The Lighthouse, which attacked Egyptian nationalists - who wanted British forces out of Egypt - as "atheists and infidels." Under British patronage, the Society set up the Institute of Propaganda and Guidance, which brought Islamists from across the Muslim world to Egypt so they could be trained in political agitation, and then take such anti-anti-colonialism back to their own homelands.

One graduate of the Institute of Propaganda and Guidance was Hassan al-Banna, who founded the Muslim Brotherhood in 1928. According to Robert Dreyfuss, in his informative book Devil's Game: How the United States Helped Unleash Fundamentalist Islam, the original Muslim Brotherhood was an "unabashed British intelligence front." The mosque that served as the first headquarters of the Brotherhood - in Ismailia, Egypt - was built by the (British) Suez Canal Company. With Britain's knowledge, and tacit approval, in the 1930s and '40s the Brotherhood both challenged anti-colonial parties within Egypt and also spread to other parts of the Near and Middle East, setting up branches in Transjordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine.

Following the coming to power of the anti-colonialist and pan-Arabist Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1954, elements in the West continued to look upon the Muslim Brotherhood as a weapon against secular nationalism and communism. The British government of the time encouraged the Brotherhood to challenge Nasser, and in 1954 there was open conflict between the Brotherhood's and Nasser's forces. Many hundreds were killed, and eventually the Brotherhood fled, taking refuge in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and other states in the Anglo-American camp. The U.S.-friendly regime in Saudi Arabia, in particular, provided sanctuary and financial backing to Brotherhood members during Nasser's crackdown on the group.

Initially the U.S., in its interventionist policies of the postwar period, adopted the British model of supporting radical Islamists in order to undermine popular secular governments or communist-influenced outfits in the Near and Middle East. This included supporting the Brotherhood against Nasser. In his book Sleeping With the Devil, former CIA officer Robert Baer said there was a "dirty little secret" in Washington in the early 1950s:

"The White House looked on the Brothers as a silent ally, a secret weapon against - what else? - communism. The covert action started in the 1950s with the Dulles brothers - Allen at the CIA and John Foster at the State Department - when they approved Saudi Arabia's funding of Egypt's Brothers against Nasser. As far as Washington was concerned, Nasser was a communist."

Baer said that the "logic of the Cold War" meant that the U.S. was willing to support radical Islamists even if they carried out activities such as assassinations or political agitation designed to foment conflict. As Baer argues, "If Allah agreed to fight on our side, fine. If Allah decided that political assassination was permissible, that was fine too, as long as no one talked about it in polite company." (There was, of course, a subsequent divergence between British and American policy on Nasser. During the Suez crisis of 1956, President Dwight Eisenhower put a stop to the British-French-Israeli invasion of Suez and backed Nasser's regime, temporarily at least.)

The Muslim Brotherhood and its various branches across the Middle East - which shared the aim of replacing secular democracy with Islamic government - also gave rise to violent splinter groups. Hamas, which today is discussed by Bush and his supporters as a great danger to peace in Israel-Palestine, if not the entire world, is a local wing of the Brotherhood, formed in the mid-1980s from various Brotherhood-affiliated charities that had gained a foothold in Palestinian territories. Al-Qaeda itself has been influenced primarily by the thinking of Sayyid Qutb (1906-1966), a radical member of the Brotherhood. Osama bin Laden's deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri, an Egyptian, was first radicalized by the Muslim Brotherhood; he joined the group when he was 14 years old, before moving on to the more radical Islamic Jihad group in 1979 and subsequently fighting against the Soviets in Afghanistan.

Indeed, during the Afghan-Soviet war from 1979 to 1992, American and British intelligence once again supported radical Islamists against, in this instance, secularist and communist forces. Where the Cold War began with America and Britain supporting the Muslim Brotherhood and other radical Islamists against popular secular movements, it ended with America and Britain arming, financing, and propagandizing on behalf of radical Islamists fighting the Soviet Union's last stand in Afghanistan before its collapse in the early 1990s.

Throughout the 1980s, the CIA and the British intelligence organization MI5 arranged for the arming and training of thousands of mujahedeen in Afghanistan. American and British elements, together with Saudi Arabia and the Pakistani intelligence service ISI, ensured that the mujahedeen had everything they needed to wage war against the Soviets. As Phil Gasper has argued,

"The CIA became the grand coordinator: purchasing or arranging the manufacture of Soviet-style weapons from Egypt, China, Poland, Israel, and elsewhere, or supplying their own; arranging for military training by Americans, Egyptians, Chinese and Iranians; hitting up Middle-Eastern countries for donations, notably Saudi Arabia, which gave many hundreds of millions of dollars in aid each year, totaling probably more than a billion; pressuring and bribing Pakistan - with whom recent American relations had been very poor - to rent out its country as a military staging area and sanctuary; putting the Pakistan Director of Military Operations, Brigadier Mian Mohammad Afzal, onto the CIA payroll to ensure Pakistani cooperation."

Two beneficiaries of such widespread American support for the mujahedeen's war against the Soviets were bin Laden and Zawahiri, currently al-Qaeda's number 1 and number 2. Both traveled to Afghanistan and Pakistan in the 1980s to assist with the anti-Soviet war effort. It should be noted that America and Britain did not only fund and arm the mujahedeen; they also provided backing to mosques, madrassa schools, and propagandistic publications and radio stations that put the case for political Islam over communism or secularism. Indeed, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed - who would go on to devise the 9/11 attacks - was involved in a madrassa school that was funded by Saudi and U.S. money. Once again, Western forces were not only opportunistically supporting their enemy's enemy - they were also fueling the idea that radical Islamism was preferable to "evil" communism and even to secular government.

We could argue that al-Qaeda, both intellectually and practically, is a product of Western meddling in Middle Eastern affairs. It takes its inspiration from the Muslim Brotherhood, that group supported by both American and British intelligence in the early and middle 20th century, and it was forged in the heat of the Afghan-Soviet war, that conflict largely facilitated by U.S., British, and Saudi funds and arms. In terms of both its political origins and its early and formative fighting experiences, al-Qaeda owes a great deal to Western interventionism.

Even Hamas is, in some ways, the product of a desire by the West and its allies to use radical Islamism as a counterweight to popular secular movements. It was formed, in 1987, from various charities with links to the Muslim Brotherhood. These charities had been allowed by Israel itself to gain strength and influence in Palestinian territories in order to, as one account puts it, "counter the influence of the secular Palestinian resistance movements." Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, the spiritual leader of Hamas, who was killed by an Israeli air strike in 2004, formed the military outfit in 1987 as the armed wing of his group the Islamic Association. This organization had been licensed by Israel 10 years earlier, in the 1970s. In that period, Israeli officials gave the nod to, and even indirectly funded, the setting-up of Islamic societies in the West Bank and Gaza that might weaken and isolate Yasser Arafat's Palestine Liberation Organization. Martha Kessler, a senior analyst for the CIA, has said: "[W]e saw Israel cultivate Islam as a counterweight to Palestinian nationalism." The very Islamic groups "cultivated" by Israel in the 1970s went on to become Hamas in the 1980s.

In funding Islamists against secularists, Israel was following in a long tradition started by the British and Americans. As one former senior CIA official has put it, Israel's tolerance, even support, of Islamic groups that would later become Hamas "was a direct attempt to divide and dilute support for a strong, secular PLO by using a competing religious alternative." There is no evidence that Israel ever supported Hezbollah, but their interests have coincided over the past two decades or more, since the founding of Hezbollah in Lebanon by Iranian elements in 1982.

As Strategic Forecasting Inc., or Stratfor, has argued, "Hezbollah represented a militant, non-secular alternative to [Arafat's] Nassertie Fatah, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and other groups that took their bearing from Pan-Arabism rather than Islam.... [Hezbollah] made a powerful claim that the Palestinian movement had no future while it remained fundamentally secular." Israel and Hezbollah are, of course, arch-rivals; Hezbollah was formed with the explicit aim of expelling Israel from Lebanon by any means necessary. However, in the early 1980s both Israel and Hezbollah had a shared aim of weakening the more powerful and popular secularist Palestinian movements.

Over the past 80 years, Western governments and their allies have supported radical Islamist groups. However, this was not merely opportunism, a bad case of "my enemy's enemy is my friend." As part of this process, Western governments seriously denigrated popular secular and democratic movements. Indeed, from the founding of the Muslim Brotherhood in the 1920s to Israel's role in the forging of Hamas in the 1980s, the explicit aim of Western support for radical Islamism was to isolate, weaken, and ultimately destroy popular political movements that very often were based on Western ideas of democracy and progress. Thus, many of these radical Islamist groups - the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, al-Qaeda, Hezbollah - have a built-in suspicion of and hostility toward secular democracy.

What we are faced with today is not a new World War being waged by any kind of powerful Islamist conspiracy. Instead, as secular and nationalist politics has fallen apart in the post-Cold War period, we are left with fairly small, radical Islamist sects - in other words, with those very groups that were forged as a bulwark against secular democratic politics in the first place.

Let's Admit It: It is Evilness for the Sake of Evilness Gilad Atzmon There is a trend amongst us all, the critical voices of Israel and Zionism. Time after time we compare Israel to the Third Reich; we equate the IDF to the Wehrmacht, we find a resemblance between the Israeli Air Force's tactics to the blitz technique of the Luftwafe, we occasionally associate Sharon's and Olmert's war crimes with those of Hitler. I myself have fallen into this very trap more than once. But I have now made up my mind. This fashion of speaking must be stopped once and for all. To regard Hitler as the ultimate evil is nothing but surrendering to the Zio-centric discourse. To regard Hitler as the wickedest man and the Third Reich as the embodiment of evilness is to let Israel off the hook. To compare Olmert to Hitler is to provide Israel and Olmert with a metaphorical moral shield. It maintains Hitler at the lead and allows Olmert to stay in the tail. My mother, indeed a very clever woman, challenged me a long time ago asking: " Tell me Gilad, why is it that you and your friends always compare Israel to the Nazis? Isn't Israel bad enough? " At the time I found her remark rather amusing, but my mother's cynical instinct was more than correct. Israel is indeed bad enough. Israel has already established a unique interpretation of the notion of wickedness that has managed to surpass any other evil. It is about time we internalize the fact that Israel and Zionism are the ultimate Evil with no comparison. And if this is not enough, unlike Nazism that belongs to the past, Zionism's wickedness is a crime which is still unfolding and worsening. Chavez obviously has the absolute right to say what he said, yet I have to remind the adorable Venezuelan president that Hitler has never flattened a country for no reason at all, and this is exactly what the Israelis have been doing in Lebanon for four weeks already and in Gaza for years and years. Looking at the carnage and the devastation in Lebanon doesn't leave any room for doubt. The current Israeli brutality is nothing but evilness for the sake of evilness. Retribution that knows no mercy. Israel is a devastating collective resurrection of the Biblical Samson. It is a modern representation of the man who kills women, children and the elderly, the Hebraic victorious master of blind indiscriminate retaliation. For years, politically correct liberals who present themselves as leftists have been insisting upon telling us that Israeli aggression should be understood in expansionist colonial terms. This line of thinking is still promoted by more than a few Jewish peace activists around the world. The reason is simple: As long as Israel is a colonialist state, then the archaic 19th century Marxist orthodox paradigm can be applied to the conflict. Moreover, if Israel is indeed an expansionist colonial regional force, then nothing is categorically wrong with the Israelis; they are just like the British were, but 150 years too late. Nonsense! The above dated interpretation is fundamentally wrong and deliberately misleading. Moreover, it is not applicable anymore, not even as a Judeo-centric PC fig leaf. Watching the devastation the Israeli Air Force has left in its wake, looking at the death and carnage in Lebanon doesn't leave any room for doubt. It has nothing to do with colonialism or expansionism. Hence, there is no room for comparison between Israel and the Nazis. If a comparison is to be made, then it is the Israelis who win the championship of ruthlessness and the reasons are obvious. Nazi Germany was a tyranny, Israel is a democracy led by a center-left national unity government. While we do not have any formal objective tool to determine the German people's approval of Nazi crimes ( in the first place, Germans were not informed about Nazi homicidal crimes. Secondly, there was no objective independent poll system active in Germany at the time ), the Israelis collectively approve their government's crimes in Lebanon and this fact is overwhelmingly documented in more than a few polls. By now, every Arab knows that the Israeli Army isn't that glamorous anymore. In fact the photos of the Israeli military boot left on Lebanese soil says it all. In this war, it is the Israeli soldier who is taking off his military boots and running away for his life. Does Israel want to secure its populated centers? Surely it has achieved the very opposite. The more Israel hits Lebanon's infrastructure, the greater are the barrages of missiles that are falling on Israeli cities. In fact, it is just a question of time before Tel Aviv gets a glimpse into the notion of life in Gaza and Beirut. Indeed Israel has no plan or strategy; instead it practices the lowest form of collective barbarian zeal. The Israelis demolish for the sake of demolishing. Israel is indeed an evil with no comparison. Yet, we have to admit that Nazis were pretty good in provoking some international outrage. Not many loved Hitler beyond the Germanic world (and the English aristocracy). Israeli cannibalism, on the other hand, is adored by some Western leaders, and it is Blair, Bush and even Merkel who are afraid to stand up to Zionist barbarism. While Nazism was defeated 12 years after it took power, Zionist brutality is a snowball of repulsive anger that knows no boundaries and no end. It rolls over the West and recruits the most morally deteriorated forces around, whether they are Blair and his ilk or some radical American Christian fundamentalists. Zionism aims at turning our planet into a bloody battlefield. It is about time to get out of the closet and to say it all loudly. Israel and Zionism endanger our world. It isn't just Lebanon, Palestine and the Arabs who suffer. It is now Britain and America that are dragged into an idiotic war. It is the entire West that is asked to rescue what the Israelis left out of Lebanon. We all have to de-Zionise ourselves before it is too late. We have to admit that Israel is the ultimate evil rather than Nazi Germany. Abe Foxman and the ADL are correct for a change, we all need a reality check. We should never compare Israel to Nazi Germany. As far as evilness is concerned, we should now let Israel take the lead. - Gilad Atzmon was born in Israel and served in the Israeli military .

A new use for camel's milk: Sell it abroad.. By Claire Soares, Correspondent of The Christian Science MonitorFri Sep 1, 4:00 AM ET Twenty years ago, when times were tough, Mohamed Ould Tati had to sell one of his cherished camels to make ends meet. Today, he can just sell its milk. Slightly saltier than cow's milk and three times as rich in Vitamin C, camel's milk has been a favorite drink for centuries in Mauritania, served to guests under the billowing folds of a traditional khaima tent or donated to the poor. "But we never thought of selling it. It was a very shameful thing to do," Mr. Tati explains, raising his bushy eyebrows in remembered horror. But now, nomads across the desert nation supply fresh milk to the Tiviski dairy in the capital, Nouakchott, where it is pasteurized, packaged, and sold. "Slowly the mentality has changed," Tati grins. "Before, milk was for drinking; now it's liquid gold." The UN Food and Agricultural Organization said recently that the world market for camel-milk products could be as much as $10 billion, giving nomadic herders a key source of income while helping to provide more food to people in the world's most arid areas. Tiviski was the brainchild of British engineer, Nancy Abeiderrahmane. On a visit to Mauritania as a student, she was struck by the absurdity of everyone drinking imported milk in a country where livestock outnumber people. It rankled so much, she decided to do something about it, setting up the first dairy in Africa - and only the second in the world - to pasteurize camel's milk. It's a win-win enterprise in one of the world's poorest countries where, despite becoming Africa's newest oil producer this year, almost two-thirds of the population lives on less than $2 a day. p>Thanks to the dairy, Mauritania's nomads have been able to connect to the ever-globalizing world without being swallowed by it. "Aid doesn't aid. And neither does an economy forced on a country by globalization. It's about harnessing what's already there in terms of resources and talent," says Abeiderrahmane. "I'm proud of the business but more importantly the herders are too." Tiviski pays 150 ouguiya (55 cents) a litre to the roaming herders, a significant boost to the income of the herders, whose nomadic lifestyle leaves them with few other economic opportunities. The herders milk by hand wherever they happen to be.If they find themselves down the road from the dairy, they send their milk in a bucket; others use donkey carts or a network of pickup trucks to deliver their churns. That done, the nomads continue on their way, following the clouds by day and the stars by night. There are cultural benefits for the residents of Nouakchott, too, as the dairy bridges the gap between their urban day-to-day life and their nomadic roots. "We are the in-between generation with one foot in the town and another staying in the desert. We are part urban, part nomad," Seydou Sall, a local government official, explains at an evening tea party where guests sprawl on floor mats, their elbows propped on cushions as they sip from small patterned glasses. The capital city of Nouakchott has mushroomed from some 200,000 residents when it was built in 1960 to almost 1 million today. And more people will surely follow the trail of money to the capital now that oil is flowing. Yet many of the suited businessmen and bureaucrats plying the avenues of Nouakchott were born in tents. They smile in anticipation at the thought of the hot rainy season, when they have an excuse to head for the dunes, where they will rent a camel to provide a steady stream of fresh milk. But at least now, during those months when they are confined to town, the pasteurized Tiviski camel milk fills the void. Although camel milk was the only product when the dairy opened its doors in 1989, Tiviski has since branched out into cow and goat milk. On average, it buys about 12,000 liters of raw milk a day. "Over the years, herders have been able to raise their standard of living. It's an important financial lifeline that provides them with cash on a daily basis," says Abeiderrahmane. "And they are buying more feed and agroproducts, so that's injected life into another sector of the economy." Providing children's snacksThe dairy also does its bit for the local community, mixing leftover milk with water and fruit flavorings to make a calcium-rich snack for schoolchildren in poor suburbs of the capital. The 500 plastic sachets distributed daily also carry messages like "wash your hands" and "clean your teeth." There are environmental spinoffs, too. Wastewater from the milk production process is pumped to two nearby plots and acts like fertilizer for plants in the Tiviski gardens that provide some rare greenery in this city constantly under siege from the advancing sands. The FAO says demand for camel milk is booming, but that there's not enough to go round because most of the 5.4 million tons produced yearly by the 20 million camels in the world gets guzzled by their young. What the FAO wants to do is teach herders methods to quadruple the daily yield, and then entice enough investors to help camel milk move into lucrative markets in the West. "The potential is massive," said Anthony Bennett, a dairy expert at FAO, in a briefing paper. "Milk is money. A world market worth $10 billion would be entirely within the realm of possibility." Abeiderrahmane's dairy, which now employs 240 people, illustrates how much can be done with relatively modest resources but also some of the humps that still need to be gotten over. Her innovative attempts to branch into cheese, for example, have been bogged down in red tape. Given that camel milk doesn't curdle naturally, and that the cool, damp conditions needed for cheesemaking seem to exist only in mirages here on the edge of the Sahara Desert, it is remarkable that she managed to create a fromage de chamelle. With the appearance of a rather square Camembert but the taste of a tangy goat's cheese, it has had stores like Harrods of England licking their lips. But EU regulations means it cannot be exported. "It's quite ironic, really," Abeiderrahmane chuckles. "Because, despite the rules, most of the cheese makes it to Europe now - it just happens through people's suitcases." Yahoo

Khalif bro. Well said, we are indeed in a period similar to that of early Mecca, in which Muslims where oppressed by their own respective clans and families. Historically speaking though the non-ending battle between good and evil, sponssored respectively by Allah and our archrival, Satan, had many manifestations throughout time, even way before the advent of Prophet Muhammad SAWS. During Noah's time, a handful of believers follwed Noah to the end, as we all know their predicament ended with the great flood in which the non-believers where drawned and life on earth began with a clean slate. Ever since that standoff, many Prophets were sent to their respective people's by the same God of Noah, with the same message, " Worship Allah alone and and do not obey Daaghuut" "Daghut" means any rival source to Allah's sovreignty, be it a living entity like a human systems or an animal, or a statue. After each renewal of the same Unitarian ( Tawhid) based belief in the Almighty, humans have always compromised their faith and fell to polytheism in action by disobeying Allah and obeying those with might. "There goes the people of Aad, they willfully rejected their Lords messages, disobeyed His Messnegers , only to follow the footsteps of the Powerfully stubborn in their ranks " Quran " As for Aad (people) they undeservingly became arrogant on earth, saying " who is mightier than us? have not they seen that Allah who created them (in the first place ) is mightier then they, and yet, they were bent on rejecting his messages " The Messages of Allah SWT continues, Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael, Moses & Aaron, Zakariya, John, Jesus and finally Muhammad's. All of them carrying the torch one after the other like a relay team, each one carying the torch of light a little further until the final lap was completed by our Messenger Muhammad SAWS. In the above sense, Islam is not a race, and the name "Muslim" is not a permanent description for a people. All of the people who obeyed Allah throughout that history are Muslims, no matter what there nationality was, and those who denied Allah's message are Kuffar including those with names like Muhammad living in our midst, the only measure of conforming to Islam is unqualified acceptance of the Mesasage and Messaneger, and a devotion to Allah alone in all of our endeavors. Now if you use that logic in the current conflict in the Midlleast, a conflict in which land stolen from Palestinians and the Lebanese is the issue, Israel being the entity that stole the land, we have a sticky situation, on one hand the Lebanese and the Pelestinians are not a homogeneously Muslims, they include other religions and sects, and so is Israel, a mixture of Athiests, devout Jews , Arabs, Druze and Christians, now, add a little spice by bringing in a UN peace keeping force of many religions and nationalities to this confusuion, what beats my sense of sanity is how in the world can we add Islam as a party to this land dispute Mess, regardless of the injustice and evil or the unbalanced power equation in which a tiny Isreal is cleverly using Golaith ( USA) to whip captive Gazza Palestinians and Lebanese, all the while the hypochritical UN ( funded 25% by US) acting as another tool to deliver the same injustice with a different packaging? The Mogadishu apprisal was a new phenomena altogether, it sent shockwaves worldwide, it exposed the real powers behind Somalia's 16 year un-civil war, tail between their tails, these forces withdrew to regroup yet on a different formation bent on fighting their maker by fighting the resurgence of Islam as a new solution for an old ailment , Disbilief in Allah and oppression of the masses. Today, those who were suspected to have caused so much genocide to our people were proven red handed to be behind attrocities committed in Somalia. Note: As for the verse that I said you have used it out of context, every verse in Quraan is valid for either: 1. Specific Event and People 2. General Event and as a Description for any people with such trait The second type applies here; Jews at the time of Prophet Muhammad in Madina where like Muslims today, divided allegiances, rivalry among them selves, broke many covenants with Allah SWT, etc. In that sense, we see Jews of today are not only united on issues of the survival, but have forced the Super Powers to make their cause the most important issue in the world, so important is their cause, that they have forced US to recreate the Middle East to suit their dream, and slowly, the picture is getting clearer. On the otehr hand, the verse is easily mapped to Muslim world of today. Nur

From the Archives: eNuri and associates present Sacrificing for your family's well being - The male perspective. By Popular Demand. Dear Faarax So, you are interested in taking on another Xalimo? I know its tempting brother, I also know you are lonely, Family being across Atlantic and you are struggling in Kampala, do you realize how much it will cause for her to hear that you are getting laid with another Xalimo? while she is struggling to raise six kids you fathered in a far land? Your Xalimo is as lonely as you are, she would not have spent a night without you if she can, and if she was not a faithful woman her options would have even increased geometrically, but, she has chosen to sacrifice her own fulfilment for YOU! how much does that weigh saaxiib? You see saaxib, doubling up is an Islamic halaal principle practiced by Prophets, just like medication, its intention is to cure, not to increase sickness, by going ahead with this thought of yours, you are endangering the welbeing of an entire healthy family. Instead of thinking like a rocket engineer to devise creative ways to convince your smarter wifey, why not try to tame your desires first, by making more ibaadah, social work, Dawa work, fasting and if need be, writing to Coffe Anan to take you to your wife, it may work if Allah decrees so, ( Coffe Anan works for Allah without realizing) but trying to be smart with your wifey can backfire, like saying " Honey, its sunnah, we should follow the sunnah" for which you smarter wifey will say " How come I dont see you praying Tahajjud prayer late at night?, or isnt that Sunnah? too" or when you say " honey, my tribe is wiped out in the civil war, our Chief Cag Bakayle said that our Rer Qansax are endangered species so we have to increase our numbers to get more voting rights in the Anarchist parliament at Jawhar and Baidoa" for which your smarter wifey will say " My dear, what is your own quota they gavve you? I can volunteer to deliver them all alone, we dont need any help in this house", or when you say " Honey, My cousin was killed in the cause of Allah helping the poor, and he left behind a young wife and orphans, so they need a father, for which your wifey will say, "pumpkin, why not get the same reward like him and die in the cause of Allah" Hassan, is a devout brother, and an entreprising businessman, after the civil war, his kids found residence in an Arabic speaking country, but his bread and butter is in Somalia, where he is taking risk to support his family , he sees his family twice a year, his wife is wearing the father, mother and teacher hats, she instills in them the love of Allah, love of their father, so the kids have grown to be ideal and brilliant, the best in their classes, and in terms of their character, their mother raised them with the best of qualitities. Hassan is a very pleasant, intelligent and humorous guy who has been appproached many times by family and friends to consider remarrying again in Somalia, however, when he thinks of the shared sacrifices between him and his wife, his soul just cant accept the idea, Hassan knows that his sacrifice is little compared to what his wife is putting up with, tearful nights alone, in which she thinks of her her husband who is far away, they are all safe and well fed, in school, but their dad is living like a bachelor back home alone to run his retail business in a dangerous environment. The best thing that happened to Somalis in these times are sacrifices for their kids, and alhamdulillah, bright results are showing all around the wide world of wonders. Xareed, is married to Beerlula who is terminally ill for many years, a very succesful professional who values his wife beyound imagination, at work, Xareed is known for being very reserved, hardworking and very loyal to his wife, he is well respected for that, Everyday, Xareed is at home after work to be on her side, consoling her pain, taking care of family needs, tutoring and running errands after work, his role is ideal, very few Somali Faaraxs can match his dedication, to him the world has stopped the day his wife was diagnosed to be terminally ill, he seldomly smiles, always pensive, even with all the wealth that can buy happiness for some Faaraxs, he is subuded, showing happiness when he is joking with wife only. Sacrifice, is an age old principle, you forgo a valuable thing for a more valuable thing, Abraham was the first to sacrifice his happiness for Allahs sake, he sacrificed his life for Allah, and as a token of recognition, Allah SWT elevated him to the level of Khalil ul Allah ( Friend of Allah), His wife Sarah was jealous when he married Hajer the Egyptian, she asked he husband Abraham to get her out of her sight, which he did, Allah ordered Abraham to send Hajar to Makkah, a barren mountainous land in the middle of no where, no water and no life. When Abraham brought his wife Hajer and son Ishmael to Makkah, she asked him, did Allah command you to leave us alone in this place? Abraham nodded yes, and Hajer told him : go, Allah will look after us, he will not neglect us" Hajer, with infant Ishmael began running between two hills known as Safa and Marwa in Makkah, seven times looking for water, after giving up the search for water, water gushes between the feet of the crying infant Ishmael, to her joy, she rushes back to make a pool to save the abundant water, saying ZAM ZAM, meaning stop, stop. thus the blessed ZamZam water. That statment of sacrifice from the part of a woman who wass regarded as a lowly domestic servant, has elevated her to the highest level of honor in humanity when Allah ordered all of humanitiy to run between Safa and Marwa hills as a token of the sacrifice that woman has made for the sake of Allah's pleasure. Sara was pleased by distancing Hager away from her sight, and Hager was pleased by glorifying her stand forever. Two great women, two different choices. Jurhum tribe moved close to Hajer to share the water, and Ishmael was raised by the Arab tribes until he was a lad at which time, Abraham visited him, when in dream he saw that he was to sacrifice Ishmael, Abraham, again was tested, this time he had to sacrifice his own son who he loved so much, this time he asks his son, and the his son accepts the commandment of ALLAH, when they both agreed, Allah saved ishmael, and his Father Abraham, by sending down a lamb in his place, now we have three people who all have sacrificed, a man who sacrificed his life for Allah when he was thrown in fire, a woman who sacrificed her life and that of her infant to please Allah, and a son who sacrificed his life for Allah SWT. Today, Muslims in the millions are circumventing Saffah and Marwa as a token of the importance of sacrifice for the sake of Allah. Shouldnt we all try this principle of Sacrifice? Think about Your family, Allah SWT says: Do Not Forget The Fazl ( All The Good ) between you" Article: Inspired By Amelia Seconded By Raheema Produced by eNuri Staff Nur 2006 eNuri Inspirationals Its not where you start, its where you end up that counts

Khalaf bro. You write: --I disagree: There is nothing we need to learn from the Jews, nor do we as Muslims need to wonder- our way to victory as an Ummah does not come from watching our “powerful†enemies but by following the Quran and Sunnah. Brother Could you elaborate on how you would use the Quraan and Sunnah alone (without any need to assess the current situation of your adversaries in the conflict) to reach an equitable settlement with the jews in israel? You Quote Quraan: "Allah says about the Jews: They will not fight you (even) together, except in fortified townships, or from behind walls.(hmm in tanks and in jets, cowards!) Strong is their fighting (spirit) amongst themselves: thou wouldst think they were united, but their hearts are divided: that is because they are a people devoid of wisdom. Brother, this verse describes Jews at the time of the revelation and Muslims of today, which group do you plan to fight first? using verses out of context can lead to disasters. You Quoate Quraan; Allah Most Great says: Allah has promised to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds that He will of a surety grant them in the land inheritance (of power) as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their state) after the fear in which they (lived) to one of security and peace: `They will worship Me (alone) and not associate nothing with Me.’ If any do reject faith after this they are rebellious and wicked. So establish regular Prayer and give regular Charity: and obey the Apostle; that you may receive mercy. Never think that the Unbelievers are going to frustrate (Allah's Plan) on earth: their abode is the Fire and it is indeed an evil refuge! Brother where does these verses forbid us from learning factors that helped Israelis against Palestinians, besides, who is at war currently against who? is there a Muslim Establishment that is confronting Jews? or do we have a headless body of the remnants of a dead Islamic caliphate, re-assembled as secular Nation states by their western mentors at war over a territorial sovreighnty of land taken away from Palestininans by Jews who were given by the British who usurbed it from the ailing Ottoman empire? Any reaction to events without a wells structured approach that are kept together with patience, and a tawkkul of Allah will NOT help the ummah reach an equitable settlement with its enemies, short of that, the sunan of Allah dictate that Tawakkul alone wont do the trick, Prophet Muahammad SAWS, sent by the all powerful Allah to mankind had to trick Quresih as he lept out bed leaving behind Ali, sneaking out with the company of AbuBakar, taking the most difficult terrain as to hide his traces and hiding in Ghaar al Xiraa, afterwards saying to his companion, " Do not be sad, Allah is with us" Unless we separate racial hatred of Jews as a race, from our conflict of Aqeedah and faith with present day israel and Zionist Jews worldwide, we will fail to deliver Allah's message to the very Jews that we are at odds on land issues. Because that is exactly how Jews perceive Arabs and Muslims. But Jews draw racism from their falsely recorded religion that taught them that gentiles are like animals, but in islam, non-Muslims are respected and protected, devided into two groups, non combatants (should never be attacked) and combatants should be. However, in the present Mideast mess, we have a plethora of factors that wil make a boy grey in a day. Nur

Hodman sis The real challenge is consistency, once the habit settles in, it becomes a second nature. When Quraan reading becomes part of your daily schedule, its like a roadmap on your palm, telling you where you are, wher you are going and your performance quality of your relationship with Allah SWT. Just like stuff in our houses, if each thing has its place, our houses become neat, likewise, if every task, like reading of Quraan has its slot in our daily schedule, then our outlook becomes bright. Xiin bro. You write: What this religoin needs most is people who understand thier role and responsibility in this world and act accordingly. 1. Understanding their role 2. Responsibility to Allah 3. ACT ACCORDINGLY "Inna alladiina qaaluu Rabunaa Allah thumma staqaaamuu ........" eNuri rough translation: Those who recognized their role as servants of Allah by affirming loyalty to Him alone, and as result followed through with their endeavors to live an examplary life that mirrors their word, when they die, the angels descend on them assuring them not to worry of what is ahead of them in the day of judgement, neither to be sorry for those loved ones they've left behind as " We " are their guardians to look after them, and ( assuring them ) "as for you (in Paradise) you get all your wishes and whatever you can ask for" Jazaakallahu kheiran bro.
