e-Nuri Opticians Welcomes Bashir Goth From The archives of e-Nuri Posts Gallery Salaams Nomads The following is a rendition I posted on another thread, as a light hearted answer to Mrt. Bashir Goethe. when he claimed that Somali Islam to be superior than Wahhabi Islam. Bashir is not a bad guy, just religiously challenged who needs vision correction, so be kind nto him. As promised, This thread provides a treatment clinic for Nomads who have lived in the west for too long, to the point of believing that western and pagan lifestyles to be closer to Somali culture than Islam is. A case in point is an article posted here on these pages by Tony Montana and written by Bashir Goethe ( Somali German Poet?) Scenario: Nurtel Opticians Examination Room. Nur: Good morning Bashir Goethe: Good Morning Nur Nur: I understand that you are suffering from vision problems, that you can not reconcile the fact that Somalis are Muslims without having any need to pray, fast or go to Hajj, You also seem sympathetic to Sufis, you think that Sufi Music is great, specially if we mix a little bit of Jazz and bluies, from Lousiana. Look like black babtis church choir to me. Bashir: That is right Nur, let me add to it that I am very furious about womens plight in Somaliland, that our women have to wear this medieval rags on their heads when they can wear the latest fashion from Paris and London, dresses designed by Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, and diplayed by beautiful women like our great Somali Model iimaan ( you see Nur, she has iimaan without wearing anything at times). I also have problem accepting this brand of islam that I have never knbown that came from Saudi Arabia, because I feel our indiginous homegrown Islam to be far better than this cut throat vicious Islam that allows no fun at all, like dating girls, dancing and drinking foaming camel milk, I mean I am annoyed at these neo Muslms who have changed my religion that tolerated me even if I claim to be a God , as long as I do not preach it in public ( although that is also against freedom of expression), because, too much Camel Milk can make you feel like you are a God of sorts, you know caano ciir iyo qaad what they can do to a fun loving guy like me. Nur, I miss the good old days, before the Waxda guys came to our corner grocery shop near daanta Reer Qudhac of Kalabaydhka, and started their march to win over the hearts of our women, now, most beautiful women are all hijaabified, you cant't sit outside your balcony to enjoy looking at the body curves of our beatiful women, they wear Abaya from Saudi, it is too bad. You see Nur, religion back then was great, we used to date girls and still had great faith in Allah, we never prayed , but we were ideal Muslims, because Islam, was ingrained in our blood, we had no need of showing it in public, so we only had fun in public, and once in a blue moon we prayed at funerals, because that was the only time we feared Allah. Nur: OK Bashir Goethe, so do you think that Somali Islam was better than Wahaabi islam? Bashir Goethe: You see NUR, " Depending on your view of history, since Somalis embraced Islam at the time of the Prophet or shortly after his death, it never clashed with the local culture in terms of clothing, eating and going about their ordinary life. Once it settled in the heart" You see Bro, Arabs have threatened our culture, like the Dirac, and the three piece suits, so, women wear abaya, and some crazy wadaads wear saudi Thawb and Ghutrah and Cigaal. what a shame. why can't they wear Cerruti suits? Nur: So, you think that Somali culture is the epitome of Islam in its purest form, since our culture and Islam are the same thing? Bashir Goethe: That is correct Bro, in our Somali culture, Islam is part of our culture, and the only measure of our faith is the QALB, the heart, so no action is needed to show our faith, just inside beleif, it is the wahhabis who added deeds to islam, Islam according to Somali culture needs no deeds. because like I say " The heart was clean and nothing else had mattered much " and in my opinion, mixing with girls is no orgy although we called it in Hargeisa "Geeresh" and fashion is good even if a girl has to wear a transparent dirac, showing her breast which she needs to show so her child can easily find ger breast, because these transparent Kaneebo Brand Dirac manufactured in Japan and imported in Jabouti to be sold in Hargeisa are 100 Islamic compliant, because Islam encourages beauty, am i correct bro? To Be continued........ 2003 Nurtel Oprticians Powered By Quraan and Sunnah

Guardian n Protector You will be missed, this thread may have not been educational as much as you made it to be, for good or for bad, and now that you have decided to leave, Your screen name is bearing the meaning for which your decsion to leave ws based, you are Guardian of the Secular System, and Protector of laws that conflict with our beliefs in Islam. You write: " I simply cannot blv you're discussing ways to cheat the system, break the laws of the country you're resident in and probably in the case of a huge percent of the people who will read this reply - a good family home" Answer: The system you are guarding and protecting from cheating allows us to fornicate legally with multiple consenting partners, but we dont, it allows drinking alcohol, again, we dont, it allows all kinds of perversion as long as all parties are consenting, but because we are Muslims, we dont, because we adhere to a System far better and higher predating this man man made sytem 1426 years. The man made system you are so much in love was made by lawmakers who lie right and left of their mouths, who pass laws based on special interest groups who fund their campaigns for election. Every religious group in western democracies uses the law to its advantage, Babtists, have their lobby to make sure the laws applied on them serve their religious interests, Mormons, who practise polygamy by belief were outvoted due to thgeir numbers and as a result they settled for practicing polygamy in civil ceremony only without state recognition, and nobody dares to go to Utah to stop their polygamous marriages, Jews use the law to protect their religion and national interest, Congress just passed a law againts antisemitism anywhere in the world, so that leaves you, the only Guardian and Protector of a system in collision with your beliefs in Allah and the day of judgement. be prepared to answer to Allah by saying " Innaa adacnaa saadatanaa wa kubaraa'anaa fa adalluunaa sabilaa" " O Allah we followed our masters and powerful men, and they caused us to loose sight of your way" The problem you sister have is double edged, ignorance of your Islamic faith, and ignorance of how to play the system to your faith's advantage without violence. Before you accuse people of cheating a system, make sure you know the system, your cow is not holy. Nur

Bashi Bro. You write: " Suppose I tied the knot with the 2nd wife. Suppose I practice “don’t tell†policy. Now here in US from the time the mother is admitted to the hospital to right after the child is born, the mother and father will be answering or rather be filling out medical and legal papers. Among them, are you married? and to whom? Given the fact that polygamy is illegal, should one lie about the marriage? Answer: Baashi Walaal, Polygamy is defined by a man holding two certificates of marriage from a government office or a government authorized religious institution. In your scenario, the question the authorities ask has a purpose of pairing the baby with parents, theu do not enforce draconian laws prohibiting polygamy, while Sodomy laws are still on the books and never used against millions of men who practice this lewd relationship. Now, the above should make you comfortable with the idea of taking on a second lady is not tantamount of breaking the constitution. What you should tell is that you live together and love each other in a civil religious arrangement without papers. Marriage is strictly interpreted in the west as a relationship between one man and one woman, but gays use it nowadays and it is winning approval which is paving the way for acceptance of polygamous marriages . Usually, Social workers would record that you are the father, a boy friend and the woman a girlfrind. In case they give you hard time, you can always visit me in Kurtunwaarrey Community Service Center in Somalia where we will issue you a certificate of marriage according to the Sharaia laws, and once our seal is on that piece of paper, your Social worker is supposed to at least acknowldge that this law is legal outside of jurisdication, no law broken locally and reciprocityof foreign civil laws are accepted, even divorces are done off shore to beat the archaic system, when lovers cant wait ayear of separation and they take cruise ships to Barbados, ending a marriage quickly and saying " I do" to another in the same day. Authorities have to recognize your marriage from second lady, if they refuse call me up, I may propose to your Districts Congresswoman if she is single. You write: " On the benefit issue, it is very important one. The second wife and her kids are not eligible for the medical insurance. I don’t know where you live but here in US having to pay these premiums out of pocket is huge financial burden. Answer: If you read the beginning of this thread, most Khadiijos are well off, they have jobs and their insurances will cover their needs, if the Khadiijo you have in mind is still not self sufficient, then we need to do a lil research of how to insure them legally without telling a tall tale. Meanwhile, there are few options to consider while am doing your research, why not consider moving back to Kurtunwaarrey in Somalia, you dont need insurance, all you need is your morning Dhiker and afternoon Dhiker, I guarantee that you will regain your Twakkal of Allah most people loose living in the west? And that is literally getting OUTTA BOX, the apartment box, the JOB box, the Highway box, the polution box, the TAX box, the Fox news box, so you can smell Camel Milk in its original aroma?. Nur

Guardiana Walaalo Like Ndugu Ngonge said earlier, laws in the west are like Swiss cheese, they are sinfully delecious, you can put them together in any way you like to suit your self and particularly, like the holes in a Swiss cheese, they are full of loop holes, so, Nomads learn fast how to suit their lifestyle according to the letter of the law, not the moral of the law which evaporated eons ago as same sex marriages is now overlooked with president Clinton's famous " Dont ask, Dont Tell" dirctive to the armed forces screening new conscripts. Once Polygamy is seen as a solution by the parties involved, the constitution of the land protects their rights of cohabitation as long as they are in pursuit of happiness. There is no limit of number of partners in a civil relationships, so a Somali Quattro need only to declare the First Lady like President Clinton, while the Second Lady, Third Lady and Fourth Lady are presented as "Freinds" of the family. However unlike Clinton, the Ladies will be in Halaal relationship according to The Sheikh, which is one reason this thread is addressing religion. Walaalo, Religion in Latin is translated as NIXLA in Arabic, not DEEN, Deen and Nihla are different, while Deen means a way of life in Arabic, Nihla simply means rituals for worship for a higher being, either way, both haved a lot to do with marriage and specially Polygamy in our case, because, the only way religion would be outta sight would be by talking about Zinaa courtship of a man and a woman which is not what this thread was all about. As a matter of fact my intention in this thread was to help women not entertain the idea of illegal means of sexual pleasurewhile there is an alternative Halaal way like polygamy, specially when a young lonely Somali woman finds herself with signals of carnal desires trigerred by living in a society that worships sexuality in public. A billboard in London advertises a sign that encourages women to attract good looking men by increasing the size of their boobs. My readers usually get confused about my posts, and if you are not careful, you wouldnt know reality from imagination, because my style of addressing islam is unorthodox, so for you to think this was not about religion made me happy in a way, Alhamdulillah, it works, it is called the e-Nuri Institute and Corporation, i challenge accepted norms, not for self gratification, but to question reasons and drivers behind our actions, as to clarify the Quraan and Sunnah in finding the staright path. Guardian sis Walaalo, I dont have stats of male female ratios of broken up Somalia, but from observation ( and I could well be wrong) , I believe that there are far higher number of women in Somalia than men. The ratio is even higher for Somali expats living in North America, Europe, Middle east and Australia. The reason of this imbalance is as follows. * There is a generational gap, Males born in the 70s, the ideal candidates for marrying 20 something women (maturity matched) were in their early twenties when the civil war broke out, they were predisposed to being either killed, injured or mentally incapacitated, those remaining were either practicing Muslims or liberals, if they became liberals, chances are that great many of them do not see starting up a family as a priority, if they were practicing, chances are they are already married, unless they enjoy fasting as a way of life. * the second factor is that by far Somali women are noticeably successful and respectful compared to their male peers, more educated and purposeful in life. Even if the numbers are close, the intellectual gap is far apart. If the above makes sense, we need a solution, because 5 years down the road, some blooming flowers may not see the sunlight , unless they think laterally, by not conforming to status quo. I believe, happiness is a measure of how much of ones expectations one attains, the lower we hold that rope, the happier, the higher we hold it, the more dissatisfied. And that is my argument. Juba walaalo I am only suggesting polygamy as a solution for some women, not all, like any remedy, only the affected should consider it, if you are not yet married you ave the choice of making it clear to your future hubby that if he ever contemplats another woman that he should forget about you, which is the norm, so you can live happy ever after, or if you are a daring lil lady, you can be the fourth and final love, completing the ring. so, for different folks, different strokes. Wiilo walaalo, I know your opinion is not well represented, but knowing our Somali women, i feel that your lone voice may represent many silent viewers, if this can help some Nomads, feel happy and have healthy kids, I would be thankful to Allah for using me to say what I belive to be right no matter how unpopular, and only for his sake. Salafi Dawa A thought provoking story, Jazzakallahu Khairan, the good part is that one of the men repented. A business associate of mine, whom I admire his ethics and islamic values amazed me with his selfless honesty and decency, I asked him how it all started, here was his answer with some clarifying additions of my own: " I used to be a non practicing " Muslim", while my brother was a devout Muslim, we used to take vacations together, but for each was his way, one day, I came down to meet him at a restaurant to have breakfast with him, but he declined, saying that he was fasting, which surprised me since it was not the usual Sunnah days one fasts, like Thursdays and mondays, or ashuraa, Dhil Hijjah ten days, full moon etc. So Iasked him in curiosity, why he was fasting? My brother replied " I prayed to Allah to guide you, and for the acceptance of that wish, I am fasting voluntarily" I was shocked, it just dawned on me how noble by brothers cause was, that he cared about me, i told him " Brother, your prayers are accepted, I am cleaning my body and clothes making them prayer ready, right this moment" And that was how Allah guided me" End Of Story Nur

Warrior Of Light Jazzaakallahu Khairan for your efforts, the Arabic contribution by sister Og Girl is about the endless wisdom of suurah Yusuf, and the beauty of how Allah is curing social evils by way of an example from a rich story that almost has all elements of human nature, from sex and crime, to jealousy, peer rivalry, business, power, slavery, suspence and a just ending with forgiveness and a yearning for a reunion with our maker in the herafter. My choice of the passage is below. My Translation ( With some clarification) The verses clarify, for dawa activists lessons in captivity, teaching lessons of how to invite others to the worship of Allah alone for which man was created no matter where a person finds himself to be, be it travel or staying, in captivity or a free man, sick or healthy, rich or poor, highlighting that reaching others to guide them to islam is a timeless and place independednt activity. The Dawa activity is nothing more than a training invitition for society, families and individuals to purify their worship of Allah SWT so that its fruits can b e social justice in which society can get rid of drivers of evil such as Ribaa, in which advantage is taken of the poor, also, others evils such as illigitamte sexual relationships that lead to epidemics such as AIDS can be avoided once the Sharia is followed, thus by worshippin Allah alone, all good can take place on this life as a waiting area period and area for the next life. Guardian n Protector you write: " Seems like a perfectly good picture if the ladies were my friends and not doing my man!" Answer Isnt that better than stranger women doing your husband without your knowledge? You write: " Nur, only in your head and every other man’s is this a dream. Answer: Not in this world, or life, only in Jannah do I expect my dreams to come true, no fun in this life comes without pain, the more fun one seeks in this life, the more bad after taste, and honestly, serving a single woman is far easier than serving four, but a polygomous relationship isnt a crystal ball, it serves a purpose, not for everyone though, but for some, and for those, it can be as rosy as the picture I drew easrlier, the trick is to recognize when, and with who. You write: " I personally would love to have 4 men attending to my every whim while helping perpetuate my genes." Answer: It is a matter that was predestined by Allah, that a man can serve four women, but a woman by nature and psychology, can only feel fulfilled with a single man, even if he has other woman in his life with some jealosy, for every egg a woman releases for procreation, a man releases a million sperm, that should make you scratch your head for more ideas. You write: " I just happen to think its quite immoral and selfish to have a relationship where I get 100% satisfaction and each one of my so called partners 1/4th. Answer: " Immorality is based on faith, and your mathematics needs lil bit correction, believe me, having four wives does not add up to a 100% satisfaction unless one has only reproduction pleasure as his only concern, and still, that requires some effort that takes 80 percent of fun out of it. The setup is intended to help women first, not testastrone laden men, if a woman would rather stay single instead of becoming number 2, or 3, than that is her choice, but as egyptian woman say, raagil, walaa gidaar, being next to a man (halal) is far better than being next to a wall. You write: I sense something very strange about you as of late, don’t you think you’re pushing this little polygamous agenda of yours a little too far? I can only wonder about the number of applications you must have received to consider this lifestyle …. And maybe it does suit you…after all, you are an honourable man! Asnwer: I started this thread to help others, in their faith and life, addressing taboos and untouchables topics, thinking outside of the box, I knew all along that I would be accused of having a personal agenda, which initially was not my idea, but after reading your witty response, and concidering my deep desire of increasing number of intelligent Somalis, I am seriously thinking of an exception to that rule, intelligent women like you can not be resisted, and knowing how convincing I can be in person, neither can a lady like you resist when i put together a value proposition, so convincingly that the only objection a lady can have would be to say "how soon"?. Much respect Nur

Girls Why is it so difficult to visualize a family made of four great wives and a wonderful husband? just imagine the four sitting together in their living room, sharing quite time together, or having an enriching intellectual discussion, their kids around them, doing their homework, wives purusing their hobbies and interests while husband is always cared for and at least each woman knows where her husband is at any given moment? This way, when good people breed good kids, next generation girls will not have the same problem of imbalance of eligible bachelors. Nur

A Peace proposal By The Institue of Somali Anarchist Network Establishment ( InSANE) Dear President Bush. We as The Somali Anarchists are very annoyed to see that you are indeed seeking to stabilize Iraq, by make up voting of expatriate Iraqis ( While, Somali Expats were not allowed to vote for their anarchist govt). Peace in Iraq can be dangerous for all the American companies who are subcontracting to do the Army's (undesirable jobs), if indeed peace brakes out in Iraq, a lots of jobs can be lost overnight by people who are more dangerous than the terrorists, so what are you going to do about that? what you need is to either be a friend of the Terrorists in Iraq by following our advice below, or keep the anarchy continue. There is a sure way of ending violence. First, you need to understand their motives, second, you have to devise the cheapest alternative to end terror, and here is the formula. The reason terrorists are acting in violence is because they do not have a TV station like Fox News, I suggest the US invests in a TV station manned entirely by terrorists, such as The Basque Separatists of Spain, Baader Meinhoff of Germany, Brigitta Rossi of Italy, and the Qacidah newtork, Puerto Ricans, Tamil Tigers, Hamas and the current Somali Warlord Government. For once imagine how such a TV station can grab the attention of millions of viewers who've never heard the other side of the story? The background of the station can show life size pictures of Che Guevara, Nelson Mandela, Khomeini, Bin Ladin, etc, The TV channel can be funded by advertisements of the US and Israeli war machine industry, since they are the biggest shippers of weapons of mass deception worldwide, showing all kind of lethal weapons, and a footage of their gruesome effect, such as the Appache Helicopters shooting at Hamas children, Americans launching a politically unguided missiles against the Taleban and their goats, also, the security industry can advertise the latest equipment to fight terrorists by eavesdropping on American citizens, psychologists can discuss the drivers of the suicide bombers for a better life and pursuit of happiness in next life, since their present life is messed up by the Americans and Israelis. The channel can show debate programs between the establishment and the terrorists, so they do not have to send bad quality video fotage to Al Jazeerah. The programs of this TV channel can be titled like this; 1. Firing Line: (Literally showing live fire battle between Rambo Forces and Taleban, or the Israeli Defense Forces attacking Hamas Kids) 2. Confession Of A Glamorous Terrorist: Why I committed Suicide Attacks on American Public by smoking and selling Marlboro Cigarettes causing the death of millions. 3.Face Your Terrorist!: The US Homeland Security and Terrorists Debate For a safe America and a safe a World. 4.Reconditioning terrorists: by paying them a fraction of the ransom on their heads so they can start their own Pizzeria Business like the Mafia in New jersey. 5. Terrorists turned politicians (You can interview Abu Mazen of Fatah about Black September in Munich, and Sharon of Israel about his days in the kibutz as a terrorist against the British and Palestinians, when he killed many Palestinians to chase them away from their homes and farms) as an example that all terrorists can be repackaged as good citizens when the big boys want. 6.Secret Deals TV Program: Behind the scenes deals, and bargaining meeting between establishment and terrorists. The revenues from this channel will be used to rebuild Mogadishu, Gaza strip, Falluja, Iraq , Kandahar, Afghanistan and all other hot spots where by a policy , thousands were killed. When terrorists are guaranteed the right to air their concern, little will be left for violence, after all, they will drive Ferrari and live in Hollywood mansions just like politicians passing laws to fight them. Dear Ambassador of Kheir Salafi is a term coined by latent Muslisms, after many have drifted away from the purity of the first generation, the companions and some Khalaf ( latent) Muslims romanticized the old simplicity of the faith. The rational for the revival of the Salaf's way is like this; Imagine, drinking water, and think how it got to you. First, it rains, or snows, then, rain drops or snow flakes accumulate along mountains or glaciers, then water falls to the valleys, they make rivers and streams, some seep down to the bedrocks, making aquifers deep below from which we draw mineral mixed water, some streams carry on long distances, both cases, the water carries with it impurities ( good or bad), so what you drink is not the pure water that accumulated on top of the glaciers ( although some people would argue that mineral water is good for you, and I agree, as long the minerals were meant to be part of our diet ) If Islam is the rain drops from heaven, The companions were the glaciers and mountains for their high ideals and resolve, later generations, carried the message, and each time, they added more impurities and polemics that took the luster away from the purity of Islam creating the confusion and division in which we find ourselves in today. So, early in this century, few scholars from different parts of the Muslims world called for a revival of Islam, and once the revival was in full swing, another wave of correction of beliefs was born to guide the new vibrant Islamic revivalist movement, thus calling itself SALAFI, to differentiate itself from other movements such as the tabligh and the ikhwaan. Because present day Arabia is the birth place of modern Salafi movement, most of its scholars are Hanbali, thus conflicting with Shaficis on certain Fiqh issues. The Buzzword, salafiyah today though is slightly polorized, at times, used even to exclude good meaning muslims, but Salafiya, is not in conflict with Imam Shafic, Shafici himself was a Salafi in that regard as he said " If the hadeeth is Saheeh, then that is my Madhab" Salafi movement arose to correct the way Muslims worship Allah according to proven hadeeths and the vision of the companions, but unfortunately, many people who claim to be salafis have harmed this great concept by defending it without sound knowledge, thus bringing mockery from the other muslims. To be a Salafi among other things, is to be kind, well meaning, knowledgeable of how islam differs from kufr and wisdom of chosing the best way for reaching and teaching others. This was a short response for a complex issue. Nur

The Rich Man and His Treasures An i Nuri Softwaano Story Once upon a time, there was a wealthy man, who amassed a lot of fortunes and had many children. One day the man summoned all of his children saying " My children, I am getting older, and I may die any day now, as I feel sick and weak, but I only have one wish, and if any of you can help me realize that wish, I will give him all of my wealth alone' The children asked him, " Dad, what can we do for you?" The father said " When I die, if any of you can brave to spend one night in the grave next to me, I am willing to sign all my inheritance to him alone" So, the his kids looked at each other in astonishment for their dads bizarre request. One day, their father died, and befor the burial, they remembered his wish and of course, the fortune the winner would earn if he can spend only a single night in the grave next to their dad. So, while arguing who should do it, a poor man came along asking for money, the brothers where relieved, they said to the poor man" Do you want to be a rich man?" "Of course I want to be, but from where I am, how?" said the poor man " All you have to do is spend a single night in the grave with our dead father, and in the morning we will give you all the wealth" said the brothers. The porr man agreed, and he was laid next to the dead man that night ( with his breathing requirements). In the morning, they dug up the poor man, and congratulated him for the winning of their dads wealth, the poor declined, he said that when the night fell, he heard a loud sound , a voice said " this is a dead person, but who is that person next to him? " another voice answered " It is a living person" then the first voice said " begin the interrogoation with the living one" "The next twleve hours" said the poor man, " I was questioned in detail about a pair of cheap slippers I was wearing, the questions were so thorough, I was not even prepared to answer one of them, and mind you, all I own is a pair of slippers and a rag on my waist, After failing to account for the paIr of slippers, I knew I would also fail to explain the origins of the rag on me and how i amassed it, and how i used it" the poor man said, " I am glad that was a horrible dream I saw last night, I do not want any wealth, you keep it. 2005 i-Nuri Softwaano Fiction Series Somaliaonline Syndicates Nur

Xu I have posted a post Titled " I AM A SHIA TOO" in which I have done an extensive research on the development of the Shia sect, the study is long, take your time and read it throroughly. The Article by Nur I am Also A Shia ..........The Shia of Noah, Abraham Jacob, David, Moses, Jesus , Mohammad .... Abu Bakar, Omar, Othman, ALI , HASSAN , HUSSEIN!!!!! and all of those who follow the footsteps of the Messneger of Allah with Ihsaan. .........and a Sunni because I am A Follower of the Sunnah of Prophet Muahhamd SAWS** The long awaited topic is about to start, the format is different, it is not complete as I have collected more information than printable amid all the calls from Viking and Mutakallim to address the core issues of Aqeedah, so with Allah's help I will begin. Please come back to the same page for contniuation of the topic. Nomads This is the summary of my research the past few days, I realize how painful it is to present facts that question the validity of of one's faith, but as long as few people on this SOL forum are active in preaching their beliefs and the rest of the audience are not getting a counter point of this orchestrated effort from the Shia brothers and sisters on this forum, I will do my best to dig into their sources and present my findings, not to insult them as they are quick to say, but to give the audience another perspective in order to judge it for themselves as they are the target of the orchestrated effort of some of the Nomads who are passing themselves as another Islamic school of thought with minor differences with the majority Sunnah. After reading the materials I researched in the Shia literature, you the reader will be the judge if I am insulting anyone or if indeed I am simply presenting raw facts about their faith. I am well aware that I may not convince them, but I pray, after all is said, that they will go back to their mentors and demand answers to the questions I raise, and hopefully follow the straight path inshAllah, I have written over six hundred posts on this board, my landmark is that of a writer who is doing community work, my work is cut out for me, I want all of those who are in search of Allah SWT to be saved, that includes me, because I believe that my salvation is conditional to the delivery of the messages of Allah SWT to his servants, specially SOL Nomads. Allah SWT says: " Qul innii lan yujiirunii minal Allaahi axadun wa lan ajida min duuinihii multaxadaa, ilaa balaaghan minallaahi wa risaalaatihi" " Say, No one is going to rescue me from Allah's( punishment), and further, I will not find no refuge other than with him, If I fail to deliver Allah's messages(to mankind) " . Quraan, Suurah Al Jinn. So help me yaa Allah, amin. The Research. Will answer: 1. Who are the Shia, their past and present 2. What do they believe that differs from the Sunnah wal Jamaacah 3. What are their beliefs ( Aqaaed) like Brother Mutakallim called it. Note: My work is all prepared from original ingredients, I never ( CUT and PASTE) , so what you will read is my hand type written materials only, I go out of my way to assure reliability of sources. I read, understand , then relay it to you in my way, and back up all I say with references that are available and accepted by stakeholders of this issue. Bismillah wa bihi astaciin, wa usallii wa usallim calaa Rasuulihi Muxammad wa calaa Aalihi addayibiin attaahiriin wa saxbihi wa man ittabacahum bi ixsaanin ilaa yowmiddiin The Shia I looked up the word Shia in the Dictionary of the Quraan, here is the exact meaning of the word I found the following meanings( hence the Title of my Post): 1. A plural form, root Category ( Faclah); Followers and Defenders. In the Quraan " Wa inna min Shiicatihi la Ibraahim, Idh jaa'a Rabbahu bi qalbin Saliim" " Abraham was one of his ( Noah's) helpers and supporters when he approached His Lord with a non deffective heart ( Saleem) , ( defective heart is a heart that beleives in Shirk, in any form). Abraham earned this great title of being a Shia of Noah for simply questioning the status quo, saying " Idh qaala li qawmihi maa tacbuduun * A Ifkan aalihatan duuna Allahi turiiduun?" meaning: " When he said to his folk, what are you worshipping?, Are you seeking false gods other than Allah " Suuraah Saaffat 83-86 2. A Group, " Thumma la nanzicanna min kulli Shiicatin, ayyuhum ashaddu calaa Raxmaani citiyaa" " Then we shall take out ( A sampling, the leaders) from every (Shia) group (who helped each other in Shirk) to see which one of them was most involved in Shirk ( worshipping others beside Allah)" Historical Development Of Shiaism. It was a great day when Allah SWT sent a Messenger to mankind who taught them the book ( Al Quraan) and wisdom, making lawful that which is good and making unlawful that which is bad for them. When the revelations came down to Muhammad SAWS, the first adult person after his wife Khadiija and his servant Zeid Ibn Haritha, to beleive in him was Abubakar Radiyallahu canhu, his cousin Ali who was a young boy , those two, Abu Bakar and Ali, one very mature man and a child will who lived and died on the same path of islam following the teachings of Prophet SAWS, will leave a remarkable history behind them for Muslims the world over. Abu Bakar, was nicknamed the Siddiq, the man who believed in him when his folk denied the message, the man who traveled with him in the risky path of Hegirah to Makkah, leaving behind his possessions, and family to accompany the prophet SAWS, one of the few companions who Allah SWT honored in the Quraan when Allah SWT referred to him as " The Friend Of the Messenger when they were hiding in the cave of Hiraa " Idh Qaala li saaxibihi, laa taxzan, innAllah macanaa" when he said to his friend, do not be sad, Allah is on our side " a man who'd later be the father in law of the prophet SAWS, and who had the honor of being asked to lead the Messneger of Allah in prayer when the prophet was sick. As the Prophet SAWS and Abu Bakar made the get-away , Ali May Allah be pleased with him, on the other hand was left behind to sleep in the Prophet's bed to fool Qureish impersonating the prophet SAWS, Quresih hired hands where waiting to ambush and kill the Prophet SAWS in his sleep, only to find out that it was Ali in the bed, Ali being Abi Talibs little boy, he could not be harmed, Abi Talib was a fellow Mushrik. Ali Radiyallahu Canhu was a man of piety and fear of Allah SWT, a man who grew up in the house of the Prophecy, the youngest to accept Islam and one of the most brave warriors in the history of Islam, Ali Radiyallahu canhu was very dear to the Prophet SAWS as he married his beloved daughter, Fatima, giving birth to the Hassan and Hussein, two toddlers who had the honor to have a joy ride on the back of the prophet SAWS while in prayer, he loved them dearly as any grandfather loves his grandchildren. The message of the Prophet SAWS was simple, Laa ilaaha illaa Allah, No deity other than Allah SWT. Tawheed, the basic Faith When the prophet SAWS called his tribe the Qureish  for Islam, they asked him about the essense of his message. The prophet told them ( My message is laa ilaaha illa Allah) A bedouin responded, (then all Arabs and non Arabs will fight against you for establishing this creed). Because the bedouin knew the far reaching meaning of the word ILAAH in Arabic language. In Suuratl Jinn, aayah 19, Allah says " And when the Abdullah Servant of Allah stood up to calling for his (ilaah), (the polytheists) almost ganged up against him"  at that distant time, there was a confusion about the meaning of ilaah, because Quresih insisted that they only glorify their dead saints, or the daughters of God as they claimed to get gthem close to Allah SWT. So in order to have a unified meaning of ilaah, here is the linguistic meaning of ilaah in Arabic: The root meaning of the word ILAA caomes from the Arabic word (ALIHA) the masdar of this word means among others: 1. To seek a protection ( Like an infant seeks mother's love , warmth and protection) 2. To seek a rescuer ( in times of distress) 3. To seek the highest authority, no one scapes from ( Jurisdiction and Sovereignty). 4. It meant leadership. ( ZACIIM UL QOWM) 5. Any thing one follows against orders of Allah, even desires is called ilaa. Ali Radiyallahu Canhu learned that principle the most, he was one of the four imaams of Islam and one of the bravest companions of the prophet SAWS. Once he volunteered to fight a vicious Qureishi challanger, he was very young, but Ali insisted he can take him on, Muslims watched the fight in awe, and amazingly, the Qureishi kufr imaam falls and Ali is about to strike at him and chop his head off, the Qureishi kufr imaam in arrogance spits on Ali's face, and contrary to what most of us would do in such a situation, like killing the Quresihi, Ali surprised everyone by walking away and giving a chance to the fighter who was much stronger, experienced and older. Ali would later kill him, and when asked why he a risk with such a great opportunity, he said " I was fighting him in the cause of Allah ALONE, but when he spit on my face, I got angry, i realized that my intentions to kill the man where no longer for Allah alone, as I was angry at him spitting on my face, so, I walked away to dedicate my effort to Allah SWT alone". Ali Radiyallahu canhu was fighting an imaam of the Kuffar of Qureish, Allah SWT says, " Wa qaatiluu a'immatal kufr" meaning " fight the imaams of Kufr" . So what is the meaning of the word Imaam in Arabic? It simply means (Qudwah), leadership, and a Model to be followed. The Imamate in Quraan In Quraan Allah SWT says : " Wa jacalnaahum a'imattan yahduuna bi amrinaa, wa awxeynaa ileyhim, ficla al kheyraat, wa iqaama salaat wa iitaa'a zakaat, wa kaanuu lanaa khaashiciin" we have made them ( the Prophets) Models to be emulated who show the way with our authority, and we have communicated with them to do good, to establish prayers and pay the poor's due, and they were responsive to our (wish) ( Allah)" Suurah Anbiyaa 73 A Brief History Of the Shia One of the biggest confusion that arose in this SOL forum was the fact that there is a big scholarly gap between the audience and the debators on one hand, and bewteen debators themselves on the other. In my writings, I was initially looking for a debate that addresses present day Shiism and its validity, I did not bother to present the background of the development of Shiism, rather I posted stark materials to show how far we have grown apart after being a single ummah, any Sunni who reads what i posted about present day Shiism would shake his head in disbelief to the point that to some, it may look like an outright insult when in all honesty the materials I posted are well imbedded in the present day literature of the Shia and their most respected books. The problem of the Shia literature is the process of authentication, ( verifying the authors of the Shia hadeeths, their background, their tribes or nationalitities, their credibility level, etc. I have yet to read their authentication process similar to the Sunni stringent process I posted before which gave us the likes of Al Bukhari, Muslim and Tirmidhi Saxiix Hadeeths collection. Or a Hadeeth authentication Process Scientist like Ibn Salaah. So you may ask, then how can we resolve the conflict between the Sunni perception of greatness and piety of the Imams of the Alal beit we have just mentioned, and the present day Shia literatutre claiming that these great imaams have said these nonesense Hadeeths, a selection of which I have posted on other threads? which luckily my adversary, Mutakallim denies them, like the hadeeths about the falsification of the Quran and other more Aqeedah damaging hadeeths in the most reliable Shia literature? I hope Mutakallim realizes the dimensions of this problem. Here is the unswer. The Development Of The Shia Sect Shiaism went through three distinct stages. 1. The First Phase Shia They were the companions who lived at the time of the Caliphate ofAmirul Mumineen Ali, RAA, the time of Fitna and confusion, who stood by him, supported him and followed him with ihsan, some of them even won the honor of Shahaadah with him, the Shia of Ali, they were on the right path XAQQ. It was reported that Ali was once asked, " Why do we see so much confusion in your Caliphate while there was no confusion in the Caliphate of Abu Bakar, and Omar"? Ali witfully responded " Kaanuu yaxkumuuna amthaalii wa ana axkumu amthaalukum" meaning, they ( Abu Bakar and Omar) where leading (ideal)citizens like me, and I am leading (not ideal )citizens like you" clearly showing that those who opposed Ali where wrong and confused people, and those who followed Ali where the guided ones. The Shia of Ali in that era where some of the best men on earth like the companion, Abdullahi son of Omar RAA, they never talked bad against any companion, nor called them Kaafir, and never differed in anything in the faith from those who opposed them politically. 2. Second Phase Shia These men appeared three years after the first group, they were dissenters who believed that Ali RAA was better, ideal for leadership ( AFZAL) than all other companions, and that he had a special place. Men like Abi Saeed Yahya Ibn Umair. Like their predecessors, they never insulted any of the companions, never hated them nor preached hate against them, they never introduced any new Fiqh ( Jurisprudence) , Aqaed( beliefs) different than the mainstream Islam. They were seen as wrong by the Majority, but never seen ouside the limits of the Sunnah. Because the Ummah unanimously agreed that the best companion after the Messenger of Allah was Abu Bakar, with Ali's approval and loyalty to him when he took power, and then Omar, and then Othman and the Ali, in that order. The Third Phase Shia Also known as the ( Saba'eyyah) by the founder of this group who was a convert Jew, who was the first to insult the companions openly and regarded them kuffar and hypocrites except for very few like Salman Al Farisi and others. They claim that all the companions who came to Ghadeer Khum and who failed to make baycah to Ali became Kufaar. This group appeared during the time of Ali, RAA, this group was inflamed with hate by Abdullah Ibn Saba Al Yahudi Al Sancaani, Ali as you could imagine rejected them, Ali Radiyahllahu canhu after he heard their claim said " If I hear anyone making me more privileged (Afzal) than the two Sheiks ( Abu Bakar and Omar), I will punish him ( wipping) for blasphemy". After they became afraid from Ali, they began to spread their concept secrely in their meetings, (hence the secrecy issue in Shiasm to this day). It is reported that Ali was so annoyed by this claim that he said to Abdullah ibn Saba " You will not live in the same place with me" He was later bansihed to Mada'en . After this incident many companions who were Shia in the older way, were shocked and disassociated themselves from this new blasphemy, rejoining their brethren the Sunnah, Al Waaqedi reported that " if in the Sunnah literature you find that Fulaan , so an so was a Shia, it could well mean that he was one of the top leaders of the Sunnah wal jamaacah, because he was partof the old order of Shia who were same like Sunnah" . Imam Shafici who Majority of Somalis follow his Fiqh when accused of being a Shia for his love of the Aalal Beyt said with confidnece in his famous poem : " If the Love of The Aalal Beyt makes me Rafidhi, Let all people know that I am a Rafidhi" , and shouldn't we all be Shiis like him if that is the only criteria that matters? .......But there is more to present Shiism that than meets the eye. To be contiued.................................. In this thread we learned: Meaning of Shia, Ilaah, and Imaam Keywords that will serve as a benchmark and a common reference point for the discussion to come. It is also to be used to verify the validity of my past claims regarding present day Shiaism. Next post Detailing : How many types of Shia and their differences Special attention to Present Shia Imaamiyah Ithnaa ashariyah, heir Aqaed ( beliefs) Their Scolars, Books, Beliefs. Contiuation............................. Extreme Shia ( Ghulaat) Are those who believe the divinity of Ali Radiyallahu Canhu, they appeared during the time of Ali. One of their key advocates was Abu Hadeed, their extremism continued through the ages, flourishing when ignorance is predominant and becoming dormant when people became well informed. Thes extreme views gave birth to many forms of present day Shia of which the Ithnaa Ashariyah imaamiyyah Shia is at the forefront. The Shia Ithnaa Asheriyyah, imaamiyyah Also known as Jaffariyyah. They are called Ithnaa Asheriyah ( Twelvers) for believing twelve Imaams as the Sacred Imaams, who are infallible, have access to the Ghaib of Allah (the unknown knowledge of Allah), representing Allah on earth by being middlemen between men and their creator, accepting prayers, enriching the needy, healing the sick and in general seeking them to be a must for those seeking Allah SWT. This Shia sect appeared in the year Hegirah 255 and here is a list of their twelve Imams: 1. Ali Ibn Abi Talib also known as Abul Hassan 2. Al Hassan Ibn Ali, also known as Zaki 3. Al Hussein Ibn Ali the Martyr also known as Abu Abdullah 4. Ali Ibn Al Hussein also known as Al Sajjad (Always making Sujuud) and Zein al Abiding 5. Muhammad Ibn Ali Ibn Hussein also known as Al Baaqir, Abu Jaafar 6. Hussein Ibn Muhammad Ibn Ali also known as Al Sadiq 7. Mousa Ibn Jaafar also known also known as Al Kazem 8. Ali Ibn Mousa also known as Al Reza, Abul Hassan 9. Muhammad Ibn Ali Ibn Mousa also known as Al Taqi, Al Jawwad 10. Ali Ibn Muhammad Ibn Muhammad Ibn Ali also known as Al Naqi 11. Al Hassan Ibn Ali Ibn Muhammad also known as Al Askari 12. Muhammad Ibn Hassan Al Askari . This last Sacred Imam, Muhammad Ibn Hassan Al Askari who assumed the Sacred Imaam Title as a Kid, is said to have disappeared at age 4, he is missing to this day and he is expected to return as the Mahdi who will uphold justice on earth. The Ithna Asheriyah Imaamiyah Shia innovated much of what is seen today of Shiism, and although much of their literature indirectly implies Sacred status of Ali, thay have not directly claimed his out right Divinity, neither have they joined the purity of Aqeedah of the first Shia generation of Shia who held same beliefs likie their Sunnah brethern, however they believe that: A. Ali shares the Prophethood with Prophet Muhammad SAWS. B The Rajcah Concept: (that all their Imaams will come back alive again, each one living a term as the rightful Khalif which was denied him by Sunnis, until all rights that was due to them are given in Rajcah concept, Abu Bakar and Omar will be taken out of the grave in Madinah desecrated, and Crucified in public before they are sent to hell, like all the Sunnis . C. Al Budaa : A concept that says that Allah SWT changes his mind frequently, and the unreliability of the perfection of Quraan as they also claim that the Holy Quraan was changed by their adversaries to take out all reference of the sanctity of their Imaams. Main Scholars of the Shia Ithna Asheria. 1. Abdullah Ibn Saba Al Yahudi Al Sancaani: Source look at the biographies of Shia Scholars ( Rijalul Kashi, a Shia Writer) The First to claim the Holy Imaamate of Ali, openly cursed Abu Bakar, claimed that all Companions of the Messneger who Allah SWT said about them in Quraan " Laqad Radiy Allahu Canil Muminiin) Allah was pleased with the believers ( Companions)", That all of these companions became hypocrites and Kuffar except for three companions, Salman the Persian, Abu Dharr Al Ghaffari, and Al Miqdaad Ibn ul Aswad. The Shia justify their claim of the unreliability of the Quraan on this fact, that they can not trust to take their Quraan from Kuffaar. 2. Ali Ibn Ibrahim Al Qumi , died 307 AH, wrote that the Quraan was falsified, among others, he wrote History, Sharia, and Tawheed and Shirk 3. Muhammad Yacqub Al Kuleiny, died 328 AH. Wrote one of the most trusted and followed books ever written by the Shia Scholars, the Al Kaafi, with three parts, Usuul, Furuuc and Rawdah. In His Rawdah, i the first two volumes 1, 2 alone he claims the falsification of the Quraan in 22 pages 4. Muhammad Ibn Hassan Baabuweyh Al Qumi, died 381 AH. Writer of the ( How To- Book) Titled " Man Laa yaxduruhu Al Faqeeh ( For those who have no access a Faqeeh Scholar) 5. Muhammad Ibn Hassan Al Tusi, died 460 AH. wrote many volumes of different sciences, one of the most respected Shia scholars, wrote about the absence of the Imaam, biographies of Shia men, and his famous book, Tahdeeh al axkaam. 6. Al Haaj Mirza Al Nuri al Tubrusi, died 1320 AH in Najaf, Iraq, the writer of the famous book " fasl Al Khitaab fii ithbaat taxriif kitaab Rabb al arbaab" translation " The critical proof of the falsification of the book of the lords Lord" printed in Iran 1288 AH. 7. Aaayatullah Al Maamaqaani, their expert on biographies, Called Abu Bakar and Omar ( Jibt and Dhaaghut) Idols. 8. Muhammad Baaqir Al Majlisi, died 1211 AH. The Mufti of the Safawi Dynasti of Iran, writer of the multi vloume book of Bihaar ul Anwaar ( Oceans of Light) 9. Nicamatullah Al Jazaa'eri, died 1012 AH writer of the Al Anwaar Al Numaaniyah 11. Abu Mansour Al Tubrusi, died 620 AH Writer of Al Ixtijaaj 12. Abu Abdallah Al Mufeed, died 413 AH, writer of Al Ershaad, Amaali Al Mufeed 13. Muhammad Ibn Hassan Al Aamily, died 1041 AH, Writer of Al Eeqaad minal Hajcah fii Ithbaat Al Rajcah ( proof of the Rajcah principle that all 12 Imaams will come back to rule one after the other and that Abu Bakar and Omar will be taken out of their graves and crucified and many more interesting occurances) 14. Ayatollah Ruuxullah Al Musawi Al Khomeiny, died 1989, His grand father immigrated to Iran from India, in 1885, born in Khomein. wrote many books such as " Kashf al Asraar, in which on page 116 he says that Omar Ibn Al Khattab committed a lot of evil, Kufr and violations against the verses of the Quraan. In his book the Islamic Government, Khomeini said " The teachings of the Imaams are as sacred as the Quraan" again implying the divinity of the Imaams, in the same book Khomein wrote that " Imaams in our faith are more sacred than any prophet that was sent or an angel close to(Allah SWT). When Khomeini died 10 million people took his body through Tehran wailing and crying, his tomb is reportedly enshrined with a 7 billion dollar Gold plated top. Next Their Beliefs ( Aqaaed) Before we explore the Shia beliefs, it is important that we do some investigative reasoning: Islam as we have discussed was a faith that started as a rebellion on earthly powers, Qureish being the custodian of holy shrine of Mecca, was not prepared for a new ideology that preached a unitarian belief, because as middlemen between man and the Gods ( 360 Gods in Mecca alone), because they had a lucrative business serving the pilgrims in the Pilgrimmage season. When Prophet Muhammad SAWS declared Islam and the worshipping of a single God, the brotherhood of man, freeing of the slaves, and equalityy of man, paying alms, feeding of the poor. Quresih recognized that this new mesage was eroding their power, so they resisited Islam ferociously. Likewise, the new message affected other foreign powers, both religious and Political, The immediaite affected powers were: 1. The Persian Kingdom, defeated by bare footed bedouins. 2. Judaism as a religion, could'nt accept Prophethood of a Gentile from Ishmael's linneage. It was the commbination of these two factors that must be seen as the backdrop of the development of modern day Shiaism. The Jews were expecting their own Mahdi Deliverer when Muahammad SAWS and Arab appeared, they insisted on waiting for their Messiah and refused to believe in the Proiphecy of Muahhamed, although the Quraan was very convincing to the point that many Jews converted to Islam. Throughtout, the Quraan is addressing the Jews as the favored (Most Number of Messengers sent to any single nation) people of Allah. The longest Suurah Al Baqarah, The Cow, and the Suurah Bani Israel, Children of Isreal, and many in between were dedicated to them to win them over for islam, their true religion and that of their fore fathers, but because they were stubborn and proud, they missed the opportunity to join Islam because al along followers of Judaism felt moral superiority over their cousins, the Arabs. Politically The Persian Empire ruled over Bedouin Arabia, specially in Yemen, an ancient empire spanning hundreds of years, they never imagined that their empire could be lost to the bedouins they despised as illitrates and ignorant, they also looked Arabs as inferiors. All in a sudden, the equation is changed, a new faith for the down trodden Arabs and the world at large appeared and the Muslim armies defeated the Super power of the time, The Empire of Persia, Kisraa Yazdajerd, The Emperor's daughter was captured as a war captive to become a wife for Hussein as recorded in History. It is said that Zein Al Abidin's mother was that woman, regardless, of the authenticity of that story, the Persians felt humiliated by Arabs, and reclaiming their past glory was always a driver for having their own distict form of Islam, this was in addition to the fact that the Imams were disendants of that Persian King's daughter had a lot to do for the Safawi Dynasty of Iran three centuries ago to force all Muslims in Iran to adobt Shiaism as the official state religion. It also explains the fact that the Shia movement was always a secret order using the Tuqya principle to hide their true motives, by mixing with the mojority of the people and hiding their true religion until they are able to come out in the open at theb opportune time. The Jews on the other hand, due to their numbers could not mobilize an army to stop this advancing new faith. So their choice was to work against it in a discrete way. So a Jew who came from Yemen, the territory that was ruled by the Persian Empire before its down fall, caonverts to islam, and travels widely through Muslim lands preaching the supremacy of Ali, his divinity, the hate of Abubakar, Omar and all the companions. Now in that context please read this passage written by a modern Shia writer of history about the worship of their Imams: When you wish to visit the tomb of Musa ibn Jafar and the tomb of Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Musa, first you must bathe and make yourself clean, then anoint yourself with perfume and put on two clean garments, after which you are to say at the tomb of the Imam Musa: - Peace be upon thee, O Friend of God! Peace be upon thee, O Proof of God! Peace be upon thee, O Light of God! O Light in the dark place of the earth! Peace be upon him whom God advances in thy regard, Behold I come as a pilgrim, who acknowledges your right, Who hates your enemies and befriends your friends, So intercede for me therefore with your Lord. "You are then free," said the Imam Ali Naqi, "to ask for your personal needs, after which you should offer a prayer in salutation to the Imam Muhammad Taqi, using these same words." Highlights of the Beliefs ( Aqaa'ed) of Shia Ithna Asheriyah. 1. The Imam is the Lord who dwells on earth. It was reported that Ali RAA said " I am the Rabb ( Lord) who dwells on earth " source; Mir'aatul Anwaar wa mishkaatul Asraar, page 59 The Shia Sheikh Al Ayaashi interpreting the verse " Wa laa yushriku fii xukmihi axadaa" " He does not share his authority (judgement) with anyone" Ayaashi says, it means that no one should share the Caliphate with Ali. 2. A contemporary Shia Scholar in Sheikh Hussein Feheid Al Ahsaa'ey, says " Ali RAA is the face of Allah SWT" he also says Allah said " O Mohammad, if it was not for you, I would not have created the universe, and if it was not for Ali I would not have created you, and if it was not for Fatima, I would not have created both of you" 3. Affairs of Present Life on Earth and the Hereafter are in the hands of the Imaam. Source Al Kuleiny, Section, that Earth belongs to the Imaam, page 407 -410 4. Natural phenomena like Thunder and lightening belongs to the Imaams. It was reported that Samacah Min Mehran that he said that " I was Abi Abdallah, then the sky thundered,, thenAbi Abdallah said, it is Ali ordering it " Source Bihar ul Anwaar, Majlisi Volume 27 page 33 5. Ali RAA Rides clouds. A concept all Shia sects share, Biharul Anwar, Majlisi Volume 27 page 34. Also Ali is reported saying " I am the eye of Allah on earth, I am the Light of Allkah that is never exitinguished, I am the proof of Allah against servants" 6. The Imaam holds the keys to the Unknown ( Al Ghaib) Source Al Kaafi, Kuleiny, Voulme 1 page 258, Section titled " The Imaams know when they die, and they never die without their consent" 7. Imaams know what was and would happen in tghe future and nothing is hidden from them Al Kaafi, Kuleiny, Volume 1 page 260 8. It was reported (Falsly) that Al Saadiq said " Wallahi we (imams) are given the knowledge of the ancients and the future generations, he was asked " Do you have access to the unknown? the imaam responded " we know what everyman and woman will beget as decendants" Source Bihar ul Anwaar, Majlisi Volume 26 page 27 - 28 9. Allah reveals revelations after the death of prophet Muhammad on the Imaams vis angel Gabriel. The Imam Muhammad Al Saffar ( Died 290 AH) says " An angel even greater and more knowledgeable than gabriel comes down with revelations to the Imaams" also see source Asxaabul Imaam Al Macsuum, page 111 10. Al Saffar also reported in the Basaa'er Al darajaat Al Kubraa in ten volume proofs of the continuity of revelations on Shia Imaams, Ali Talked to Allah SWT. That he saw Gabriel, Ten stories volume 8, section 16 page 430. 11. Al Saffar also reports : It was reported that Humran ibn Acyun reported from Abu Abdullah Aleyhi Salaam, " I said, O Imaam, I heard that Ali Talked to Allah Aleyhi Salaam " The imaam said " Yes indeed, they talked in Taif Gabriel came down in their middle" Source Basa'r Al Darajaat, Section 8-16, page 430, Printed in Iran 12. Al Saffar alos reports in 13 reports that the Holy spirit ( Ruuxul Qudus) comes down on the imaams, the imaam said " We are increased knowledge at night, because if we did not have revealtions, our knwledge would run out" source Basaa'er ul Darajaat, Section 7, volume, 15. page 252 13. Kuleiny explaing a verse " And thus do we reveal to you a spirit form on authority" Kuleiny said the Imaam said " since Gabriel came down, he never left, he is with us imaams" Source Kuleiny Al Kaafi, Volume 1 page 173 13. The Imams are shown our deeds avery day and night Source Al Kafi, Kuleiny Volume 1 page 219 Most of the above beliefs were developed during the shorter absence of the Mahdi, Muhammad Ibn Hassan Al Askari, who we have mentioned briefly before although many fundemental changes that represent a departure from the original beliefs of Muslims were attributed to him through his handlers who claim that they had an access to this disappearing Imaam for an enduring 65 years. Let us look at the belief of the Shia about this imaam. As we have seen above, Shiism today represents a big departure from the Shia of Ali during the Caliphate of Ali and the even through the early stages of teh Amawi and Abbasid dynasties, so let us look at the building blocks of Shiism that departed from main stream Islam to become a stand alone religion of its own. The Imamate: Th three main Shia sects today 1. Zaydiyyah, who believe that the Imamate dynasty branches out from Zayd Ibn Ali Ibn Hussein Ibn Ali 2. Ismailia who believe that the Imamate branches out from Ismail ibn Jaffar ibn Muhammad Al Saadiq 3. Imaamiyyah Ithnaa Ashariah, whose list is abovementioned, and are the focus of this thread, as the Zaydiyyah are accepted by the Ahlul Sunnah with some non fundemental philosophical differences, and the Ismailia with ultra philosophical differences. The Shia Claim that the Prophet SWAS in several situations has implied the Imamate of Ali, although no Shia source claimed that the Prophet SAWS EXPLICITLY siad that " HERE IS ALI, MY KHALIFAH AFTER ME, I HAVE DEVINE RESPONSIBILITY TO DELIVER THIS MESSAGE TO MANKIND THA ALI IS SELECTED BY ALLAH SWT AND AFTER HIM HASSAN, HUSSEIN... ALL THE WAY TO MUHAMMAD AL ASKARI, A CHILD IMAM WHO WILL DISAPPEAR FOR A WHILE AND HE WILL COMMUNICATE WITH YOU FROM THR GHEYBAH AL SUGHRAA (short absence) THROUGH so and so,.. No such explicit WASIYYAH from the prophet SAWS exisit, The strongest mandate for the Imaamah of Ali that the Shia narrate is the Sermon at Ghadeer Khum in shich the Messneger of Allah SAWS is reported to have said " Whoever I was his Mowlaa ( Friend , Protector, Ally) then Ali is His Mowlaa, O Allah he who befriends , supports, shows solidarity with Ali, O Allah become his supporter, friend and Ally" However Ali RAA EXPLICITLY said the following in the SHIA trusted source Nahjul Balaagha: " I was elected by the same people who have elected Abu bakar, Omar and Othman whith the same mandate as theirs, so neither does a present person has a right to elect nor an absent person have the right to reject (as the same committee elected me with the same mandate), because the Shuraa consultative election is for the Muhaajirs and the Ansaar, and they have unanimously elected a man and they named him an IMAAM, an action that pelased Allah SWT, so in case a person dissents their choice by a slander, or introduces a Bidcah, (innovation ) bring him back to his sense, if he refuses, fight him for his (crime) of following a different path than that of the believers" Source: Nahjul Balaagha, Volume 3, page 7. Ahlul Sunnah wal Jamaacha subscribe to that above principle of Ali, Jamaacah, and No Bidcah, so how did all thses innovations find a way in the Shia prionciples? Muhammad Ibn Hassan Al Askari, the Mahdi of the Shia is said to have disappeared as a Kid at the age of 4 or 5 years. The fact that this boy is made an Imaam in their beliefs is built another concept that Imaamah is devinely preselected and the boy was born holy as an imaam. One day while the boy was playing out, he disappeared falling in a SIRDAB (underground passages for sewage), he is said to have been absent for 65 years after which he sent a letter saying that " anyone who brings you anymore message from is a liar, I will not come out until Allah sends me back ( as Mahdi)" or something to that effect. In these years, the Ghaybah al Sughraa, a lot of religion was invented, and that wil be my focus in the next episode... Beliefs of the 3G Shia ( Third Generation Shia ) As I have promised, I will present the most divergent Aqaed of The Shia: 1. Their Departure from the Tawheed Principle The belief that Ali and the Imams are Super Natural, Holy and Infallible a. It was reported that in the Shia Biographies source, that Ali RA said " I am the First and I am the last, I am the Apparent and I am the Hidden and I will inherit the earth" source : Rijaalul Kashi, Page 138: This concept contradicts with the verse from Quraan that Allah is the ( First and I am the last, I am the Apparent and I am the Hidden) see Suurah Al Hadeed b. It was reported that Abi Abdullah Aleyhi Salaam said: That the This life ( Dunyaa) and the next life ( Akhira) belong to the Imaam, he places were he wishes, and he gives to whomever he pleases, it is his right from Allah, Source: Kuleiny Al Kaafi, Usul , page 259 Allah SWT says in Quraan that the above belongs to Allah in more than one place in Quraan.( Wa lillahil aakhrata wal uulaa) ( Lillahi Mulkus Samaawati wal Ard) ect. c. The Tafseer of the verse in Suurah Zumar " Wa ashraqatil Ardu bi Nuuri Rabbihaa" The earth sunrise was due to the light of its Lord" the famous Shia Scholar Maqbul Axmad explains that it means : " He said that Imaam Jaffar Al Saadiq says that the Lord of teh earth is the Imam, so when the Imam (mahdi) comes out his light will be sufficient , people will no longer need the sun and moon" source Biography of Maqbul Ahmed page 339 d. Kuleiny, the author of al Kaafi, the most reliable Shia source says that " Imaams are knowledgeable all the knowledge accessed by the angels and the Prophets and Messengers Aleyhim Salaam he writes " It was reported that Abi Abdullah Aleyhi Salaam said, that Allah Tabaraka wa tacaalaa has two types of Knowledge; A body of knowledge he exposed to Angels, Messengers and Prophets, which we know of, and a knowledge body he reserved, so if Allah changes his mind ( Bidaa) and wishes to share it with us for s reason, he makes us ( Imams) aware of it the Apparent Knowledge and the hidden Knowledge, and He also teaches this to past Imams before us Aleyhim Salaam" The above belief of the Shia is in clear confict with Tawheed as Allah SWT says in Quraan (ولا يشرك ÙÙŠ Øكمه Ø£Øدا)) that he does not share his judgement with anyone, while the Shia Scolars claim that that Allah SWT is actively communicating with the Imams to this date, and that Allah's religion of Islam is undergoing changes as Allah ST is continuously changing his mind and sharing this with dead imams of the Shia, that they are so important as to require that they should be updated of any changes the religion undergoes while they are dead. Their Departure from the Tawheed Principle 2. The Principle of Bidaa Which means something that was hidden to be made apparent to the Imamas, Allah SWT says in Quraan, Suurah Zumar describing the fate of those who disobeyed Allah SWT and belived they were guided that " وبدا لهم من الله ما لم يكونوا ÙŠØتسبون) that they were in for a surprise as what they saw was not what they expected from Allah SWT. In Suurah Yusuf, Allah SWT says narrating the story of Josef, says " ((ثم بدا لهم بعد ما رأوا الآيات ليسجننه Øتى Øين)) meaning, "that the brothers of Josef after seeing the proofs and indications, went ahead with their decesion to imprison Josef for a while) Bidaa in the above two verses implies two inferences : a. Prior Ignorance b. Arrival of new knowledge Both of those two above qualities are not compatible with Allah' perfection SWT as his Knowledge is eternal, and is not ignorant, Allah SWT says ( وعنده Ù…ÙØ§ØªØ Ø§Ù„ØºÙŠØ¨ لا يعلمها إلا هو ويعلم ما ÙÙŠ البر والبØر وما تسقط من ورقة إلا يعلمها ولا Øبة ÙÙŠ ظلمات الأرض ولا رطب ولا يابس إلا ÙÙŠ كتاب مبين) meaning , His are the keys of the knowledge of the unknown, no one has access to it except Him, He( even) knows all that is on earth and the sea and no leaf falls without his knowledge nor a grain in the darkness of earth , neither a wet nor a dry (object exists) without being (meticulously) recorded in a clear record) Kuleiny reports in his Masterpiece Al Kaafi that Allah SWT (بدا لله ÙÙŠ أبي Ù…Øمد بعد أبي جعÙر ما لم يعر٠له) meaning that Allah SWT reconsidered ( Badaa) in the case of Abi jaffar due to his lack of Knowledge before: source Kuleiny, Al Kaafi, Usuul, Page 40. Kuleiny further reports that (ونقل الكليني: عن أبي Øمزة الثمالي قال: سمعت أبا جعÙر عليه يقول: يا ثابت إن الله تبارك وتعالى وقت هذا الأمر ÙÙŠ السبعين ومائة ÙØدثناكم2) Ùلما أن قتل الØسين صلوات الله عليه اشتد غضب الله على أهل الأرض Ùأخره إلى أربعين ( ) menaing that Allah SWT set a seventy year as the Mahdi's time to appear, but when Hussein was killed, Salawatullahi Aleyh, Allah became angry with the people of the earth, then he deleyed the appearance for another forty years " From The above we learn that the Shia's belief in Allah SWT is not in line with the qualities of perefection of Allah SWT, the quality of KNOWLEDGEABLE or in Arabic, Alk Aleem. thus the Bidaa concept is a clear opposite to the Tawheed principle of the perfection of Allah SWT. Their Departure From The Tawheed Principle 3. . The Priciple of Rajcah (الرجعة) Is the complementary principle to the Bidaa, whic simply explains the follwing verse in the Quraan in Suurah Anbiyaah ( We have recorded in the Zabur, after the mention that the the earth will be inherited by my good servants) The Shia scholars say that these servants are the Imams, who will be reseuurected one by one to rule the earth making justice until the last Imam Muhammad Al Askari , the Mahdi appears, after which the day of judgement will happen. During this period of Rajcah, the enemies of the Imams , Abu Bakar, and Omar will be taken out from their graves, they will still be flesh as if they've just died, they will be then taken to be crucified for taking Caliphate away from the Imams. Afterwards all the enemies of the imams will be punished as justice and their followers will be vindicated. This principle contradicts with the principle of the day of judgment, only, Allah SWT in the day of judgement will serve justice to all his creatures, not Imams. Also, no dead person will be revived, Imam or Abu Bakar. In Conclusion: 1. The Shia (Latent) have departed away from the original teachings of Islam, as we have shown the meanings of ilaah ( God ) which parts of the qualities of Ilaah they ascribe to their Imams 2. They Belief Allah to lack knowlege 3. Their beliefs of Justice is not in line with that of Allah's in Day of Judgement as they believe in a little Qiyaamah before the bih Qiyamah 4. They believe that All the companions of the Prophet became Kuffar except for three 5. They believe that the Imaams are supernatural , infallible , sacred and have access to the unseen 6. They believe the Wilayatul Faqeeh concept which means that the Faqeeh is the interpreter of the absent Imam and his obedience is like the obedience of the absent imaam. ......and more Nomads This is my small attempt to present the case I have promised, There are still many other issues that I have mentioned briefly but do not have the time to present in detail, however, I feel this much to be sufficient to pose for Mutakallim to respond point per point as he promised. The END Nur ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2004 e-Nuri Aqeedah Vigils If you don't stand up for Allah alone, You will fall for everything else. ** I received a private message from someone who thought I was a Shia. May I clarify that I am a Somali, Sunni, ahlul Sunnah wal Jamaacah. The Title was meant to show that the original Shia ( Phase 1 and 2) were not different in beliefs than their Sunni brethern. The title was meant as solidarity and an attention getter, like John Kennedy's famous " Ich bin ein Berliner ". Sorry for the confusion and my rusty German.

Sakina sis You write: don't want to go into the details of the charges against Ibn Taymiyah which was raised by prominent Sunni scholars about his heretical beliefs such as his idea that Allah has limbs and these limbs are physical (Haqiqi) and so on since it needs thousands of lines by itself. Sister Please read that above statement three times, you are indeed accusing the Sheikh of heresy ( kufr) unless you do not know the meaning of heretical, it means kufr, so, to come clean, we dont need thousand lines, we need where in his writings did the Sheikh say Allah has physical limbs which according to you make him Heretical( kafir)? Orgilagde bro The problem is not confined to Somali community, it is a universal problem Here is an interesting story I read recently on Arab News Women Propose, Man Disposes Mahmoud Ahmad, Arab News  JEDDAH, 27 January 2005 — When a 25-year-old Saudi recently placed an ad in a local newspaper to sell his apartment, he was overwhelmed with the response. Ninety percent of the calls were from women asking about the apartment. Twenty-two of the women who called to ask the price of the apartment, also wanted to know if he was interested in marrying them. One of the female callers offered to pay for everything if he agreed to marry her. She also offered to pay him SR5,000 as a monthly salary. The exasperated youth said: “Such calls are very strange and annoying at the same time. The irony is that I am getting married next week in Makkah.†Nur

Sakina sis I read the cut and paste articles that you have put up, at Somaliaonline, we appreciate intellectual discourse and no idea is banned so long it is backed up by proofs, so in that spirit, would you please produce a single evidence anywhere that Sheikh Ibn Taimia has suggested that Allah has physical limbs You write: don't want to go into the details of the charges against Ibn Taymiyah which was raised by prominent Sunni scholars about his heretical beliefs such as his idea that Allah has limbs and these limbs are physical (Haqiqi) and so on since it needs thousands of lines by itself. Your accusation of the Sheikh to be kafir is serious one, without a reasonable proof, according to the hadeeth, ithe kufr title will bounce back on you, the sooner you respond the better, because unfounded undefendable accusations will be unfair to have a platform on Somaliaonline. Nomads I am in love again, I cant describe how it feels, but here are some clues; -Yearning to rejoin your loved One -Little favors by your loved One trigger that feeling -You cant stay too long without remembering Your loved One -You are always smiling, when you think of your loved One, people wonder what you are up to, but you are Up There, Literally! -you continuosly think of a new way of pleasing your loved One. love of Allah SWT is the real thing, and any other love fades with time, its a mirage, that looks like water to the thirsty, but it does not quench thirst. Likewise love of any material thing including large size chicago double cheese pan Pizza, or a California Cheese cake factory cake, a day on the beahes of somalia near kismayo savoring Mango and coconut with a fried fish, or a nice drive along Skyline Drive, Virginia in a November afternoon looking at sunny skies and golden leaves, none of these can last long enough, and in that sense, the pain of losing the material things we love outweighs the temporary pleasures we get from them, a short pleasure followed by a long pain is not a smart choice, so, it would be wiser if we can think of and work for the eternal pleasure, and the eternal love, the love of our creator, whose love is guaranteed to deliver real value, better quality that endures eons. Nomads The following topic is an intellectual mindteaser, I read it twice, it is deep, the writer , Terry Eagleton's insights are about freedom, please share your thoughts on this article. Nur Suicide Bombers Die to Attain Justice for Others Terry Eagleton, The Guardian  LONDON, 27 January 2005 — While have been blowing themselves apart in Israel and Iraq, a silence has prevailed about what suicide bombing actually involves. Like hunger strikers, suicide bombers are not necessarily in love with death. They kill themselves because they can see no other way of attaining justice; and the fact that they have to do so is part of the injustice. It is possible to act in a way that makes your death inevitable without actually desiring it. Those who leapt from the World Trade Centre to avoid being incinerated were not seeking death, even though there was no way they could have avoided it. Ordinary, nonpolitical suicides are those whose lives have come to feel worthless to them, and who accordingly need a quick way out. Martyrs are more or less the opposite. People like Rosa Luxemburg or Steve Biko give up what they see as precious (their lives) for an even more valuable cause. They die not because they see death as desirable in itself, but in the name of a more abundant life all round. Suicide bombers also die in the name of a better life for others; it is just that, unlike martyrs, they take others with them in the process. Both believe that a life is only worth living if it contains something worth dying for. On this theory, what makes existence meaningful is what you are prepared to relinquish it for. Blowing yourself up for political reasons is a complex symbolic act, one that mixes despair and defiance. It proclaims that even death is preferable to your wretched way of life. The act of self-dispossession writes dramatically large the self-dispossession that is your routine existence. Laying violent hands on yourself is a more graphic image of what your enemy does to you anyway. At the same time, the bomber forces a contrast between the extreme kind of self-determination involved in taking his own life and the lack of such self-determination in his everyday existence. If he could live in the way he dies, he would not need to die. At least his death can be his death, and thus a taste of freedom. The only form of sovereignty left to you is the power to dispose of your own death. Suicide bombers and hunger strikers are out to transform weakness into power. Because they are ready to die while their enemies are not, they score a spiritual victory over them. The ultimate freedom is not to fear death. If you no longer fear it, political power can have no hold over you. Those with nothing to lose are deeply dangerous. But suicide bombers also cheat their antagonists of the only aspect of themselves that they can control: Their bodies. By depriving their masters of this manipulable part of themselves, they become invulnerable. Nothing is less masterable than nothing. By slipping through the fingers of power, leaving it grasping at thin air, they force it to betray its own vacuousness. It is, to be sure, a pyrrhic victory. But it proclaims that what your adversary cannot annihilate is the will to annihilation. Like the traditional tragic hero, the suicide bomber rises above his own destruction by the very resolution with which he embraces it. Blowing himself to pieces in a packed marketplace is likely to prove by far the most historic event of the bomber’s life. Nothing in his life, to quote Macbeth, becomes him like the leaving of it. This is both his triumph and his defeat. However miserable or impoverished, most men and women have one formidable power at their disposal: The power to die as devastatingly as possible. And not only devastatingly, but surreally. There is a smack of avant-garde theater about this horrific act. In a social order that seems progressively more depthless, transparent, rationalized and instantly communicable, the brutal slaughter of the innocent warps the mind as well as the body. It is an assault on meaning as well as on the flesh — an ultimate act of defamiliarization, which transforms the everyday into the monstrously unrecognizable. — Terry Eagleton is professor of cultural theory at Manchester University, UK

Sheherezade you write: 5 babies Do you know what hard work it is raising 5 children? At dawn she prepares breakfast for school eaged kids, and hubby, she feeds all, drops them at school and work respectively, swings by nearby Dry Cleaners, leaves clothes, then to the supermarket where she flies through the isles all the way to the cash register, then to the bank to pay bills, on her way back she picks daily paper, and stops at the her babies paediatrician, pcik up some medicines at the drug stor, pick up paper and some gardening tools for hubby, and she comes home to catch on her sitcom, while cleaning the mess she left behind, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, living room, bedroom, then to the washer and dryer, she dusts the furniture, and draperies, Quran playing in the background, puts groceries in refriegerator, takes meat outta freezer, thaws it while cutting vegies, prepares meals for cooking later, keeps an eye on toddler who is test driving her new set of teeth, occasionally used as vacuum cleaner, giving bath and throwing in new diapers, then she takes the baby to the Doctor for emergency after swallowing some chemicals, back to the kitchen, food is ready, geenie goes to pick up kids from school, drops them back at home, checks their bags, reads teacher notes, helps them with homework, dad, is back and all are at lunch table, once food is done, everyone jumps to help cleaning dishes, while she chats with other Xalimos, and dad takes a nap, he is outta door to eat Qat with his friends, and she is taking kids for afternoon Quran lessons, she is back by 9, makes everyone prepare for tomorrow, puts them in pajamas, teeth cleaned thoroughly, and a bedtime story for each kid, then she takes a warm bath and she is in bed by 10, husband drops by at 11, and is watching late TV programs, a dn that is only in a simple day without complications. You see Sheherezade, I how involved that man was is his kids:) Nur

Sheherezade and Luul (Pearl) Ok, I get the message, your argument would has been more believeable if you have placed part of the blame on women, part on men. We all know that when men run away from home that it is not always their fault, as your responses imply, some men simply dont get what they've bargained for in marriage, wife is no longer paying attention to her husband, she may not be taking care of herself and his interests, and may, just may be some men do not take the time to go for marraige counselling, or facing their wives with their concers. But I fully agree with you that a lot of Somali men out there are not cut out for the job of husband, and I am not blaming women for their mistakes, these men should not get a second wife, good men should get a second wife, men who can show that they have succeeded in taking good care of their first wife well. These are the men, Sister Khadija's organization are after, so let lucky Somali wives share their good husbands so the good sisters dont have to put up with the bad ones. As for Single Eligible Somali men, They are a target segment for the organization, the only concern of the members is that they would rather marry model husbands who have a track record, like 5 babies and a happy wife. Nomads Thanks for the side debate, this would be interesting if the Prof responded. I would be very thankful if anyone reading this thread can inform the Professor that I want to engage him one-on-one intellectually on this forum. We need to learn how to conduct healthy dialogues, not civil wars, which is precisely the aim of the Professor. Kindly waiting for his reply. Nur

Sheherezade Sis If you indeed read the intro to the thead, i doubt if you would've made the same comment, but taking you on your statement, the topic was sensationalized to beg for comments like yours, I am glad you responded. For once forget the way the letter was delivered, and I apologise if it did touch a nerve or two, but, being honest, do you belive if an imbalance exisits due to a poor showing of eligible Somali bachelors, that educating these men and rehabilitating them would indeed solve the problem in TIME for suc a fast train as the marriage window of these women? Please address the issue, not the method the letter was conveyed. Xu sis For a good Somali household, Somali men are the limiting factor, once you run out of qualified men, you are left out with qualified women, what would you do with them. 1. Let them solve theire problem, usuallly by coming between you and your husband, and usually women who play all or none game, divorce is the result, and a new wifey for the husband. 2. These women go the wrong way, again, that is the beginning of indecency in society, many married men are having extramarital affairs these days, because their wives wouldnt agree with a legitimate second wife, so when she refuses the second women to join the family, her husband is tempted and possibly falls as victim of his wifes fear. 3. We cant revive dead men but we can rehabilitate men, (takes some effort, money , Allah's blessing and TIME) 4. They share married men. You pick a SOULution. Xu sis, I am still to read a logical response for any of my questions, we are looking for a solution to a problem, let us not put our personal interest as guide for our communities problems. Much respect to both. 2004 e-Nur Sociology Labs We Attack Problems, Not People

Ilaaaliye Abti The Professor represented the new "enlightened" intellectuals emerging after a long dormant period in the west. On a level playing ground, truth will surface. To doubt that we will be resurrected is to doubt that there is a purpose in life, I wonder what the professor is trying to do if life has no purpose beyound filling our bellies? Shirwac The connection between my questions and the exsistence of life after death is: 1. Nationhood is defined as a group of people who share a common race, belief and culture, the Professor is knocking out belief in Islam as a nationhhod Pillar, a unique attribute of all Somalis. 2. Moral standards keep a nation together, what is considered right or wrong is embedded on the belief that no one gets away with evil, they either pay it here as punishment, or they are doomed in next life, if one does not believe in life after death, what basis of trust beyound technical verification can we have? 3. The Professor may be solving one side of a complex equation, he seems oblivious of the other side, denials do not solve problems, acceptance and risk assesment does, the last question is a trick question, you figure out the connection, I dont want to give more hints to the Prof. Nur
