Well Done. Hey, Am I mistaken or were you in jail?

Anyhow you got the point right lets fundraise money for hospitals, building roads, schools you name it... Exactly. I know bad news sells but there lots of Somali organizations that fundraise and lobby for building/improving hospitals and schools. One of my best friends who is a public health major is the treasurer for a Somali health organizations. They hold an awereness and fundraiser events and they have a lot Professional Members from Somali doctors, teachers, nurses, and public health professionals. They send the money to random hospitals all over Somalia through legitimate Non-Profit organizations for the purpose purchasing equipments, prenatal care(a major problem in our country), and out-patient care. The last time I attended their event, I was soo touched wallhi. They have 18-year olds that soooo active and passionate.

Loooooool whats with you and calling gays "brave."? You made a similar comment a little while ago. -
Well, I learnt how to eat with a fork and a knife. I agree that some "Educated" Somali people only learned how to further their ideology and crappy bliefs. But in my opinion the majority of educated youngesters have little interest in destroying their motherland or fighting for the cause of few. Thats not to say they dont have family members holding century-old grudges and trying to poison their minds with qabiil shit. I propose the Education of Somali women. Get them very young and put them in charge of their lives.Make them understand that they too have powers and they can use them for the greater good. One aspect of this crappy war that is overlooked is the role of women. We all like to argue and believe that women are the victims and they are in some sense, but they are also the biggest supporters and funders. Seriously how many times have I seen ladies knocking on doors collecting funds for reer hebel who have to "defend" themselves from reer hebel? . They're the ones who sell their dahab, cook, clean and tend to the wounded.

I've never seen so many TV shows focused on Crime. By watching a combination of these shows it might be possible to commit the perfect crime Sometimes I find myself biting my nails and conspiring with the criminals .

why I prefer basari (untidy and disorganised) women
Chocolate and Honey replied to Abtigiis's topic in General
For some reason, all girls are pretty nowdays so it is hard to make the ugly vs. pretty characteristics argument. -
I was feeling like some antisocial nut cuz I race to the gym after work so that I can be glued to my heavenly TV untill bed time . I Heart Law&Order especially SVU and Criminal Intent. Bones is  I'm obsessed with Criminal Minds. Profiling serial killers is soooo interesting. Did you watch the Finale last night? Wasnt that the best episode?

Oh hell, someone give me Drum Rolls PLZZZZZZ!!! Is this same person who posted this about her own relative not too long ago, trying to give us a lecture about gossip? XASHAC KULILAX IYO SHAAX KULUL!!! I wonder what airing your own relatives sexual escapades and marriage break-down, in a public forum like this, makes you walaashiis? Excuse me? First of all, my cousin knew about the thread and she even read all the replies. Second, the purpose of the thread was not to CONDEMN or GOSSIP about the girl. It was a confusing situation. It was nothing like this pathetic, "oh them bad! Us good" make yourself look-holly and superior-sorry-of-a thread

We are brought up understanding that men have sexual needs that are far too powerful and uncontrollable than women. This otherwise natural instinct implanted in everyone, is given undue attention and stroked to magnified proportions in men. Very interesting article and right on target and maybe a bit culturally relative. It reminded me one of my Dugsi teacher who used to insist that women take separate street after dugsi for the sake of not tempting the brothers. Wut? This is America? There will 20-blond haired shorts wearing chicks out thre. To some degree, it is true that most practicing wadaado tend to interact and do better with non-Muslim females than Muslim females. Maybe there is less temptation, I don’t know. Lowering your gaze and abstaining from anything that might tempt you is good but acting the woman standing in front of you doesn’t exist is a bit extreme. In today’s world, women and men are both in the workforce; therefore, this noble segregation only exists in our minds.

For those who are saying this video is OK, I have one questions for you. Are you still a Muslim? How can a believing person say it's ok for muslim sisters to act like this? I hope you benefit from the Hadith below. On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said: "There are two types of the inmates of Hell whom I have not seen in my time: people having flogs like the tails of oxen with them, and who would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined to evil and make their husbands incline towards it. Their hair would be like the humps of the bukht camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise, and they will not smell its odour, whereas its odour will be smelled from long distances. " (Muslim) Oh Drum Roll plz...here comes self-rightousness  . First of all, You can't be questioning people's faith in Allah based on their lack of criticism of their sisters/brothers. Second, rushing to condemn and gossip about your fellows muslims doesnt make you neither a pious person nor a "good" Muslim and thats what this mediocre thread comes down to. Third, no one said it was acceptable islamically but we just didnt JOIN the gossip wagon and for that you put forth a hadith? They have a choice. If you know them personally u nasteexay and if you dont, pray for them but plz dont mount the high horse by degrading them further

Iman: Michelle Obama No 'Great Beauty'
Chocolate and Honey replied to Libaax-Sankataabte's topic in General
Iman has the typical Afdheeri syndrome all Somalis suffer from. Anyonelse in America right now would not utter such statement even the red-neck racist KK. But no, Iman does. Bad, bad bussiness move. Bad because blacks love their first lady and they also love Iman products but from now on, she better watch out. Edeb daro iyo nus dhen. -
Lose the "holier than thou" attitude plz it is making me nauseous. The fact that you searched and posted a vedio of them on a public forum for the sake of defamation shows lack of character on your part. "New Generation of Somali Women" kulahaa, get a reality check ina adeer.

Husbands are allowed to slap their wives if they spend lavishly, a Saudi judge said recently during a seminar on domestic violence, Saudi media reported Sunday. He had the guts to utter such nonesense at a domestic violence seminar? . The S.t.u.p.i.d.i.t.y and ignorance of these so called "sheikhs" sickens me. ps. How come the majority of Muslim females be they Arabs or Africans dont know their rights under the sharia law?I hate it when in the mosque, Somali women(learned women mind you) who can have a sister to answer their questions gather arround and ask the most ridiclous questions like "Oh if my husband has sex with me while I'm "sleep", do I have to shower in order to fast?" WTF?

Oh God! Here we go again. Where in the post did I claim to be quruxley. Just because you get hit on doesnt mean you're a beauty-queen Ok? Besides didnt I say my married friend AND the other girls were also meeting the same fate?
-
Call up a Somali buddy on the phone while you're with her and let her hear all your conversation. When she asks your nationality in a panicked voice, calmly smile and say "oo yaad ii maleeysay ina adeer."? This should have her second guessing herself!

C&H, you do seem to have a problem with manly attention, don't you? I've counted at least five occassions where you told of men pestering you (hmm! maybe, you are right, or else why am I following your stories and remembering all the ones from the camera man to the waiter?) Fair Enuff! It aint my fault that I was raised by a paranoid mother so I shriek, murmur, sweat like a pig, and run in the other direction on such occasions in which I recieve unwanted male attention .
