I love my job. It tends to get boring sometimes, but it is funny because I dont have a manager, supervisor or even someone to call boss. I have quiet a few people I tell my wareabouts. Best job I have ever had!

-76 Secrets Girls Must Know About Guys...Add to the list-
Chocolate and Honey replied to Janna's topic in General
60. Men are like lava lamps. Fun to look at, but not all that bright. 61. Men are like government bonds. They take so long to mature. 62. Men are like road kill. They usually just lie around until they start to smell. 63.Men are like vacuum cleaners. They're not much fun, but at least you get to push them around. 64. Men are like....Animals Messy, insensitive and potentially violent, but occasionally make great pets . 65. Men are like.....Bike helmets. Handy in an emergency, but otherwise they just look silly 66. Men are like....Fine wine. They start out as grapes. It's our job to stomp them, and then keep them in the dark until they mature. And hopefully they'll turn out to be something we would like to have dinner with. -
Malika, you asked for it . Your whys are answered.

should we make rules and search confirmation in quran and sunnah thus declaring our legislation law? This is the most dangerous Idea I have heard regarding Shari'a law. Our hands are already full with Al-Shabaab and other ahlu's who are forever declaring Jihad and issuing assisanations based on who is the "munaafiq" or "kaafir" of the day  . You can't make up rules period!! Everything you need is already revealed. The Qur'an is complete.

Transcript of President Obama's speech in Cairo (June 4, 2009)
Chocolate and Honey replied to me's topic in Politics
Oh Obama, my Obama. I think my handsome is a great philosopher, charismatic leader, and exeptional speaker and he is biting off more than he can chew at the moment. He is today's Ghandhi, but the world doesnt need another Dr. King or Ghandhi, it needs an iron ruler. All evil racist white America/islamic extremists/Isreal/an yone who loathes peace and unity is waiting for him to fall on his ***. But I say, go hansome! -
I'm thinking of taking a course in many strange things I always wanted to do; like hair and make up, iyo massage, get certified as personal fitness trainer. Now I have the time to do that. Lol. See tahay Ibti? Horta, werent you training MsDD a while ago? I would love to become a personal trainer(over my mother's dead body She is already disappointed that I'm not a doctor)but I hate those skimpy clothes they wear. Unless you want to open a female only gym and train only sisters. BTW, ignore Rudy. He is probably on something everytime he visits SOL .

your objection is based on "oh what will people say?" I hate that bloody expression. Only weak people ever consider that! Please your lord and follow your dreams, people have their own problems. My sentiments exactly!

Islamist agenda for Somalia: The way forward or Animal Farm?
Chocolate and Honey replied to Meiji's topic in Politics
Lol. Meji, you're asking as if they thought that far ahead! Their main goal is Sharia or so they claim;however, when push comes to shove, it'll be ala' Taliban-style and we all know how exactly futile that is. So dont expect them to propose a comprehensive plan. They're teenagers with big guns and grand ideas but no clue.I doubt that they know the politics of governing. -
Boring if you go the park EVERYDAY to read and go home and take nap, cook, clean, watch tv,talk on the phone, troll. It is awfully repetitive. I have a week and two days to go and I will unemployed for nearly two months. And as much as I look forward to them the whole year, it gets desperately boring when summer rolls arround.

Would you be in a movie about Somali Pirates?
Chocolate and Honey replied to Nin-Yaaban's topic in General
They'll portray that captain as a mystical creature like Batman or maybe spider man? And uh..maybe Brad Pitt or some oiled-up schockingly good looking actor with bulging muscles(giggles) will play the part while the Somali pirates will be played by some illiterate Sudanese or perhaps Masai ppl! Will the real Somalis please(NG and others who offered will be doing an invaluable service to our community) stand-up? -
I believe there is age gap when it comes to welfare issue. The new generation wouldnt be caught dead pursuing such thing, granted they might deal drugs. But there is definetly a lack of good role model in our community. I work at a school and 99.9% of kids I deal with dont have a father figure who is concerned about their education. If anything, they fuel the fire by acting all-knowing while the kids already lost respect for them. Just this morning I had a mother who took 3 buses to get to school to make sure that her kid came to school this morning. I had another one who takes 2 buses and a taxi to get here because the dad takes the car to Juma Prayers at the mall. Qabqabti hore ma soconayso. And ilmahaan way arkaan in aabahood wax ma taro yahay, so why should they give respect? We have drug dealers, run aways, and little girls participating in things that you wouldnt suspect. But where are the adults? Me personally, my host country is my home for the time being and I consider myself to be a citizen of my country AND my host country because without the opportunities I'm afforded here, I wouldnt be who I'm today.

Wouldn't you agree that its modest to keep private matters to yourself like affection and intimacy yeah I know I know they are only kissing (No Big Big Deal...Ngonge ) Walaalo I agree that it is modest to keep private matters to yourself and no I wouldnt do it. But the question was neither would you do this yourself nor is this modest. otherwise we will only end up behaving like animals and coupulate in public… Arent you exaggarating a bit here? All they did was kiss. If they did something else, I would be as outraged. My precise Q was to Sister B who claimed that this was mocking hijab. And I said how? And yes we should be modest but when you CLAIM something is Haraam, you need to be able to pack it up. So no, the Quran doesnt tell you exactly how to pray but the Hadiths do and this is why I said an aaya or hadith or interpretation of hadith. So stop the moral outrage.
-
I'm sorry, I was under the impression we were in agreement that snogging your hubby in public is xaram. Now we are on the sme page. So show me proof that says PDA with your significant other is HARAAM? And plz dont tell me what sheikh hebel said. Proof as in Hadith or an interpretation of hadith or aaya.

How do you reconcile free will and destiny? It is ok to question some aspects of our religion but never the existance of God because "proving" his existance is like proving a negative. The point is not to calculate with your limited understanding of things beyond your grasp and proceed with findings but to beleive. The ability to beleive is really a gift from God himself. As Allah said; Those whom Allah (in His plan) willeth to guide,- He openeth their breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying,- He maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies So when doubts start pouring, it is hard to reconcile what you can see with whats beyond. The question of free will used to bother me when I was younger. I once heard a hadith that said something to the affect of "if someone is meant to go to hell; they'll do good deeds all their lives but when they're nearing the end, they change the course of their actions so they end up in hell  because they were meant to go to hell from the start." And I thought, wow thats not free will. Whats the point of staying on the right path if everything is predestined? After extensive research and inquiries and "naa ilaah ka cabso" I found another Hadith that said " everyone has two houses in the after life; one in hell and one in heaven";therefore, if you do good, you'll go to heaven and if you do evil you'll go to hell. Then it clicked. Thats FREE WILL. So God is free will. He gave us a formula for success if you will and it is up to you if you wanna follow it or not. Thats why God doesnt struck down evil doers because after all they have a CHOICE to be bad.

Nice. I would add excercise. Ladies, dont be afraid to sweat a little.

This action directly contradicts the very essence of hijab (hishma), which is the only reason that I pointed it out. Why does it contradict with Hijab? Is it uncomfortable? yes! Is it a bit strange? yes! Is it a sin to kiss your husband or hold his hand in public? NO! So why are you implying that we are condoning sins? My point is dont hold hijabs to a different standards. All muslims should have the hishma or hayaa you're talking about. And my precise question to you was; how does it mock hijab? You argued xayaa is the assence of Hijab.Agree. Maybe they are a bit enthusiastic but how does that MOCK Hijab?

Are you a “ Raaliyo” in the closet?
Chocolate and Honey replied to Chocolate and Honey's topic in General
this is going to be like the muufo thread. No one really knowing what raaliya is but talking about it for pages. Have you read KK's definition? A raaliyo is just that. BTW... there is no "raali" in our language yacni nimanka arent "supposed"to be submissive to their wives  -
CH: I am sure you'd agree if a bearded male dressed in khamiis and cimaamad were to expose himself in public, he would be dragging the deen in the mud beside dambigiisa? Whether we like it or not, All I'm saying is I wouldnt be less shocked if it was a regular Farah with shorts on instead of the Khamiis wearing one. we are role models to each other and expected us to follow the guidance to the best of our abilities. Exactly. All Muslims

How do you reconcile free will and destiny? I think this a legitimate question but before I answer, are you looking for a real answer or are you being the devil's advocate?
