Lol@ Ducaysane. Huuno stop intestigating the issue for I see you're only pushing it to further inflame the matter at hand. And to answer your silly Question, No there is no less precious part to display for WHATEVER reason.

lol! No, no dear one. Dont want to be on your "bad" side but have you read the poem? The man is manic, he upped the game a tad bit. You called him ehemm.. mellow and he unleashed his duality in a serial killer type of characteristics. So you see I had to give him the +.

Masha'llah, they're so pretty and their clothes are stylish. Hopefully, as they grow, they'll cover more. I would so buy those dresses.

Personally I think I’ve come to the grand conclusion that I’d actually prefer for my future husband to just keep his mouth shut altogether, to nod in agreement and acknowledgement that I am the higher being and he is simply a vessel to which I receive my pleasure and any prospective children I may wish to become in possession of. I mean, do I really want a man who argues back incessantly? Who’s insolent enough to speak when not spoken to? Who dares to scratch and cry at me to stop before I’ve gotten my jollies off? I don’t think so! (wiggles brows in feigned annoyance) classic!! I easily get bored with the obedient type so give me a loud-mouthed, highly opinionated one any day. At least I wont die of boredom. My pleasure in this comes from the utter satisfaction I feel once I win them over or talk them out of something they so dearly believed in . Obedient ones are like trained pets, they're no fun once they mechanically follow your every move.

No one wants to read about hurt vajeyjeys especially Somali females who've had their share of the misery. ps.Why do I get the feeling I pissed off a hungry lion?

@you aint no superman, you're the same skinny farah. And dont fight with your skinny brothers.

Because you keep calling the jalbaab a tent, maybe? Even if you dont agree, plz be generous with your words. Some people wear that out of fear of their God so be mindful of your wording.

Dhinacyadaada is ka eeg. Thats all I'm gonna say.

I’m not taking about an in-depth private conversation about ones knicker collection for example but a simple Ca-laykumasalam in reply hardly constitutes as tempting a man into sexing one senseless. you say the darnest things! I agree with you sis. There has to be a middle-ground.

With all due respect Chock&Honey, what does an office administrater know about conducting research.  @ that comment. Aww..did I touch a nerve, sensitive boy? I will have you know that I hold a B.S degree in literature(and that I am also a high school teacher, thank you very much) but that is besides the point. What this little outburst of yours shows is that you have nothing to back up this sorry-a.s.s-excuse for a topic you've posted here.Walk the walk, my friend. When you say "based" on a research, you better back it up! How did you conduct the research that showed majority of Somalis to be an isolated community with no outside contact? Or were you sitting on you pretty bed one night, your diary at hand(imagines Marx in a satin pajamas with a cigar in his hands surrounded by "important philosophy' books wavingg his hand in the air with self-proclaimed superiority only he can summon up) and thought uhm.. I suppose I could educate this ehem..I mean open a discussion about how all Somalis are one confused, confined,ba ckwarded,welfare-hun gry people who only dream about going home? This subject has already been discussed by people who know what they're talking about so look it up. BTW..I didnt know that office administrators werent allowed to participate in petty discussions based on overgeneralizations and pre-conceived notions about entire cultures?
-
NG, fabregas and yourself have no experience in conducting research and most of your ideas are not reflective of the experience of the Somali people in the west. If this was the case then we will all be highly successful and hold professionals jobs and be settled as well being political and economical represented. Yet the majority of Somalis are in low paid jobs, if any and live a life of meagre incomes. We have NO experience in conducting a research? Really? I wasnot aware of that. What research have you conducted to conclude that WE three have NO experience? You overgeneralize and assume too much as usual.

So for most Somalis, contact with the local people is very limited as is their knowledge of British, American, Canadian or even European life and customs. This is where you went wrong. Most Somalis do have vast knowledge of these cultures and customs and quite obviously, many many of them build professional and personal relationships with these folks but might not have interest in assimilating to these cultures. NG, leave marx alone. He is a sensitive boy dee

Define Hijab. Is khamaar considered Hijab or does it have to be the full dress? If Hijab means dressing modestly and covering your hair, then the answer is NO. Most people dont look down upon those who dont wear the full long dress or the Jalbaab. But coming to the mosque dressed like you've mentioned is a bit problematic because you're entering the house of Allah seeking his blessings so you should respect it.

And why are you bursting his bubble, why? I didnt know guys counted colories, umh *strikes a deep thinking pose*lol.

My god!! Someone stop this woman ASAP! Female circumcision and female genital mutilation or FGM are seperate issues. Circumcision is Sunnah(NOT REQUIRED) for women and FGM is HARAM, because you're mutilating and removing vital tissues. This woman is confusing religion with culture. Egyptians like Somalis practice FGM and it is by no means a rite of passage. uggh.

I believe it is both Nature&Nurture. Women tend to be a little bit more caring and considerate of other people than men but if you dont nurture that feeling and if the enviorenment discourages such type of behaviors then, they lose that soft side of them.

High divorce rate amongst somalis ? Do you agree?
Chocolate and Honey replied to Sister1000's topic in General
Sabri, huuno this one hit me on wajiga. Naagta sheeko iyo halagaa sheego ayey meesha la imaatay, mar ay dhahdo nimanka soomaalida ha la iiga waramo iyo mar ay dhahdo anaga waa unheard of. Been badanaa, I personally know more divorced Pakistani women seeking to marry Somali men than any other race and I dont go arround generalising and saying "naag pakistani ayaa sidaa sameeysay ama i tiri ee ma igu raacsantihiin? Alah! very few people get on my nerves wallahi but cilmi doon kama aha naagta. -

Chocolate and Honey replied to Sister1000's topic in General
Sis 1000 or whatever, you were doing fine untill you wrote this: Anyway, in my culture, the divorce rate for muslims is very low. Divorce is pratically unheard of. Apparantly, divorce is a very bad decision to you so the fact that you said it's unheard of in your community is a tale-tale sign that you look down upon the people who divorce hence the Somalis you mentioned. Your tone is accusatory and you're bitterly sarcastic. Married or divorce, in this day and age it surprises me that you would advice a woman not to study or work and only depend on her husband? WTF? For me personally, you dont sound sincere in your quest for knowledge of Somali culture/beliefs/cust oms. I dislike people who meet a couple of people from a certain culture/background and go like "my (put ethnic here)friends act/talk/move this way." -
Typical personality traits that somali guys have
Chocolate and Honey replied to Sister1000's topic in General
So the girl wants to marry a guy who "might" like her and never spoke to her and after hearing from our not-so gentelmen on this forum, she ran for dear life? um.. me like it. I for one dont condone interracial marriages. So thats one more complicated, hard-headed,big-mout hed,knuckle-bearing Farah left for us Somali women to deal with, eh? Wonderful!! -

Let me guess, all that nonsense you wrote applies to all men except kuwa kula dhashay iyo kuwa ku dhalay, soomaaha? Caqli goronyo waaxid Awww! Did I touch a nerve. You're the exception. Come here... shax shax -
In gaalo culture, sex is so prevalant and they start out sooo young that it loses its initial fascination. It is getting harder and harder for them to enjoy "it" without toys, sadistic fantasies, adult films, millions of Mags telling them how to take it to the next level or how play this or that. No? They're soo preoccupied with it that you would think it is their only purpose of life.

Wow, seen something similar on a recent episode of Law& Order, where a lady gets raped because her boyfriend requested it on some sort of forum where everyone is in to fake rape. This is precisely the product of gaalnimo and pure boredom. Like ayeeyo used to say "gaaladu wax ka caqli xun aduunka ma jiro."
