long story but I bailed out(not a biggie, she just refused to pay her damn tickets) a friend of mine because her family were freaking-out(plus she called from police station), her sister wasnt able to do it, so I paid. Anyhoo, after waiting more two hours in a stinking police station, she comes out all mad talking about "what did you tell my family? And why are they here? Why didnt you convince them to stay?" Speachless, I was like have you forgotten the police picked you up right in front of your house with everyone there?Stup!d. Then she tells me "shut up, I dont want to talk about it. Yes there is.Couples who usually move in together have committed to each other. Usually, it is sort of a trial period for marriage, you know to see if the shoe fits. Contrary to popular beliefs, people who cohabitate are sexually exclusive. Back in college, I took this class called “the contemporary family today” and it has opened my eyes(mostly to things I didn’t want to know)about these kinds of things. I need to go back and read some of the materials, but they found out that cohabitating couples tend to adhere to marriage rules and follow the norm even though they’re rebelling against the institution. I was watching this talk show yesterday when I came across the most shocking phenomena: women who physically and mentally abuse their partners. The talk show host came (Tyra, known for her dramatic entrance) came out all freaked out and was like “every 37 seconds a man is abused in this country.” I was like hell no! I was expecting to watch a jealous wife/girlfriend who might’ve pushed or grabbed her man but Oh NO! This is like real abusers. And the men display the same characteristics of abused women display: lying to cover up the abuse, fear, shame? Don’t believe me? There are shelters for battered men!
