Axmed-InaJaad;724018 wrote: :rolleyes: is marriage a perversion now? i suppose you'd prefer ur daughters to be naked super models in the west than having a blessed islamic marriage? Are those their only two options? Get married to an old fart who practically bought them or GET NAKED in the west? Blessed kulahaa? What a joke!

Chocolate yes they are ..hoyooyinkood waa greedy old farts as you put it lol..risiqooda meel kale bay ka raadsan kareen. They have no rights to sell their daughters to some old men oo dhali kara akhas. !..bottom line, it is the ultimate choice of their daughters, if that daughter chose to marry someone from abroad double her age. I careless. But, mothers to sell them and proceed with the wedding without even letting the girls know is just ridiculous and u cant make excuses for the mothers.. salaam I'm not defending the mother's actions by any means. But desperate people do desperat things. The choices that you and me have don't exist for them. If you had ten young children with no income and support; maybe you eat one meal a day and you're watching your children suffer everyday with no hope on the horizon, maybe you would sacrifice one of them for the sake of the 9. It is not perfect and It is not fair to the one whose life you ruined but thats a choice you made. Now the whole things of old perverts taking advantage of these type of situations is another dispicable thing all together.

LOL@Alpha. Men, men what are they good for? Absolutely nothing! I'm just kidding! Any man who is afraid of being replaced by machines and ... should be replaced. The article was a waste of my time. Uff! She should've looked at the mirror and if she wasnt satisfied, she should've reported to the mall and good hair stylist like the rest of us do instead of writing this crapload. Famininity and fighting for equality are not mutually exclusive.

LOL! Qaaranka bixi hadii ay islaanta xanuunsantahay. Iska dhaaf gacan adeyga. But make sure they don't collect the money to fund some other agenda, okey?

Yeah, you gotta laugh. It is sad to watch a ME world where Isreal is a "shining" light in a dark world. Imagine Isreal as fair and democratic country?
-
Che, As in " we are the only stable, democratic state in the ME."
-
Oh, how Isreal is enjoying the unrest in Arab countries.

For CLCo - The male beauty contest judged by women

Sayid*Somal;689815 wrote: Gender narcissism - raggii bey naaggeyeen! What are you talking about ya Sayid? The men want to be judged; dont you see how much effort they've put into their looks? Pretty!! And whats wrong with women judging men by their looks? Men do it all the time! I do it all the time; in fact, I stared at the Try Song picture below for far too long, thinking PRETTY! LOL! -
So, basically the poster is teaching men how to turn tricks, eh? Ala Juxa fiicanaa! Lacag aruuri kuma lahoo. Kuwaanoo kale, you best let them turn tricks until... and then they'll grow into those pervy old men you see at the malls always winking and scratching their ... whenever a young woman walks by. You simply shake your head with pity and tell whoever is listening, "Iska daa waa oday saasaqay."

London2010;689138 wrote: The high rates of mental illness and autism issues is a product of the failure of the somali women to bring up good stables children. All of them should be forcibly sterilised until they can bring quality into the world instead of rubbish. Spot on! Somali women give birth to mentally ill children because they're so godamn lazy. Not only should they be sterilized, they should be trained in schools on how to raise or even create a disease-free children; whatsmore, they should go to nanny schools instead of colleges. They should practice by getting jobs as nannies, daycare workers and babysitters in their neighborhood. As part of their "how to give birth and raise Autism and disease free child," they should do extensive research on sick children by simply asking the children's mothers "why did you do this child? When did you know you were responsible for creating such child? And how can I avoid birthing a mentally challanged or socially challanged child?" They should also carry an identification card that reads " I can give you a disease-free child; I passed all the tests." And the ones who don't have a card or proof? Well, those SHOULD definetly be sterilized!

Hmmm...men have been doing that for ages though, leaving their old partner for a new exciting one. The whole "lets-judge-looks" contest is demeaning to both women and men. But at least in this godless culture, there is equality. -
I'm reading the following; "Night" by Elie Wiesel "Macbeth" by Shakespeare(this is not for pleasure;I'm teaching this the spring semester) "The Things They Carried" by O'brien "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens LOL! I'm reading these books simultaneously walahi. No wonder I dont have a social life anymore:mad:

Juxa! OMG! You reminded me of this family; we were neighbors in Kenya and I was best friends with their youngest daughter. I used to go to their house a lot! Years later, they came to the U.S and they settled in Georgia. So, I went to visit them. The mother kept taking me out and buying me stuff and giving me crazy compliments. At the time, their son who lived here for over 20 years was living with them. He never used to talk so I didnt think much of him, plus he was much older. Then, the mother started saying I should be her daughter in-law and stuff and that she should talk to my family. I freaked out and said no thanks. Then, she asked her daughter to talk me into the whole thing but my friends just brushed it off. Long story short, I came back to my state. A couple of years later, the family moved to Minnesota. It turns out the SON was and has been in and out the looney bin for quite some time. He was on cocktails of meds and he was receiving therapy because he attempted suicide. He went back to the nut house again for over a year. Then, they sent him to Kenya to get married to a distant cousin! Crazy people!

This left me:confused: What is the meaning of the thread? Is the poster arguing for, against, or in the maybe? Or (gasps!) is this supposed to be news?

Hello folks. This weather is killing me:mad:

:D:D@ Adam. I wouldnt have spilled the beans like that if I were you. Now, even if we don't terminate you for commiting treason against your own, sure the "Sons of King Wilwaal" wont tolerate such emotion filled move: revealing the resistance's existance. We have long suspected and brushed the resistance's existance as mere childplay; but you've intruded on our sacred rituals? I wouldnt be answering any sweet "Hi" from Malika or Juxa if I were you.

Somali women discussing size, sex and marrying for sex is absolutely rediculous! LOL!! Even if such topics were being discussed, how would you know? I doubt that the woman you're discussing marriage with and you would waste time discussing other people's bedroom habits. @ "divorced women" mingling with "innocent women." You must be from a culture that degrades and denies basic human rights to women if you think a woman should only get divorced if she is physically abused. It is obvious that this woman and you have different values and customs so why don't you stick with you own? Why bother with people whose imaginary behavior you deem inappropriate. Here are some other observations you might want to take into consideration; 1. Somali women talk back to their partners(horror and shock!) 2. Somali women work outside of the home. 3. Somali women talk to male co-worker, neighbors, friends, cousins(each has at least 20), teachers, etc 4. Somali women will slap you with her shoe should you ever criticize any of her tribe members be they male or female. 5. Somali women manage and control the husbands' earnings. 6. Somali women's houses are open to her kinfolk, meaning a family or a wanderer of her extended family could suddenly need a place to stay and move in "untill they situate themselves." 7. Should you ever leave the marriage, the children belong to her. 8. Some Somali women hate chores such cooking so some husbands polish their cooking skills. I could go on...

This is the most idiotic pathetic excuses I have ever read: "Welfare empowers women?" WTF? Welfare humiliates mothers because it is a sign of wretchedness. If the men held jobs, the mothers wouldnt take welfare checks. Welfare is not mandatory; you dont have to take it. In fact, they prefer you dont. The most visible positive quality of Somali men is the fact that they don't need babysitting. Ninka ka cabaadayo about the lack of attention nin ma aha.

OMG:rolleyes: Did you really just ask that? My sophmore high school students who were born in America can do better than you? I think I should send you their Project History paper on Somalia. Waxaa matag iga keena people who refuse to acknowledge history of a whole ******* country even when that history is slapping them on the face. If you are not for unity of Somalia, then say so. Why beat around the bushes? JB, I know you are a Somali champ, but really? A reality? Sounding ignorant and encouraging ignorant people in their quest to denial was never your cup of tea, why start now?

You have every right to ask. I wouldnt ask in an accusatory manner though because sometimes teachers are overwhelmed with so many things and they fail to pay attention to the equity of the classroom. Just say, "I'm an avid reader of the newsletter you send home and I would like to see my daughter in action."
