  1. Waxaan oo dhan sokor iyo saliid difaac miyaa? LOOOOOOOOOOOL! It is time to give them up my folks. Maxaa Nina laga rabaa? Granted she doesnt eat the typical Somali afur which is not exactly healthy or beneficial for anyone. I
  2. Alla xaasisanidaa honey, why wouldnt I warn them of their ways? Dadka oo dhan baruur iney u dhintaan aa rabtaa, oo adi lee sii dhex yaraatid huh? I like your list specially the fluid part. Soup for dinner? Adaa iga darteye? I need something solid. I am with you on the snacks. I love dates with qaxwo or skim milk. It fills you up. I am bad with suhuur . I cant eat that late at night so I eat dinner. Excercise wise, I started this regimen where I go to the gym right after afur before tarawix four times a week for 45 minutes. I feel so much better after that. MMA, iska ilaali sokortaas badan iyo saliida. Waxaan maqlay nimanka ma u roona Ina baqti lagde, adi yaa food patrol kaa dhigay? Maxaa gabadha ugu soo booday. I doubt that she eats all of that at once. It is a list of things she selects from nooh. Xulbadana maxaa waaye Oromo maa noqotay? It is better to graze and eat snacks throughout than two or three big meals. I love sheekhyaasha ku raaxeeysto quraanka but only haday cod leeyihiin hadii kale it feels loooooooooooong!
  3. Polanyi, are you a cripple? What do you mean you only eat what you're served? Why cant you cook for youself? Waxba qof ha ka sugin, jikada isku tuur, learn how to cook for yourself, it is very very MANLY lemme tell you. Warrior, Ramadan Kareem to you too honey. For some reason I cant eat more than twice. I graze on fruits though,LOL! Fruits cunto uma aqaan. Nice tips.
  4. First and foremost, Ramadan Kareem my people! May Allah accept our fast and prayers and reward us with forgiveness. Ok my people. I am seeing more and more obese Somali people around and most Somalis see Ramadan as indulging time food wise. This is what our typical diet during Ramadan looks like; fried food(sanbuus and bur), lots of carbs and fats(Malawax, hilib ari, pasta)and sweets like xalwa, custard and sugary drinks  If you want to stay healthy and meet your body's nutrition needs you should keep close to the following guidlines and yes, you would also need to excercise Thats right I said it! 1. Do drink plenty of water throughout the night. Hydrate your body. 2. Do eat at least two servings of fruits(not in cans and no sugar added). Since it is summer, watermelon, cherries and papayas are in season. They are full of antixodants which is also good for your skin and hair ladies! 3. Do eat at least 3 servings of veggetables. You can have a salad with your main dish, add fresh cut veggies to your stew or eat them raw or with hummus. 3. Do drink at least one glass of reduced fat milk for calcium and protein. If you dont like milk, try Greek Yogurt. It is thick and nice like custard and is full of protein. 4. Do NOT eat more than 1 Sanbuus per night period! If you can resist eating that fried thing, DO skip! 5. Do NOT eat more than a single serving of pasta or rice per night. If you are the type who eats pasta as casho and another serving of pasta or bariis and hilib for saxuur, STOP! 6. Do eat oatmeal, brown rice or cornmeal with milk for saxuur. The body digests them slowly(well, except the cornmeal)becasuse of their fiber content. 7. Do NOT eat any fried dessert or anything soaked in sugar such as bur sokor or Malawax. Now before you order my immediate beheading, you do need to excercise. It doesnt make sense for your body to be starving all day and then take in big portions of heavy food to digest  . Take a short walk right after you eat, do chores around the house or do 30 minutes of cardio. If you have other guidelines you swear by, DO share please.
  5. LOOOOOOOOOOOOL@ salada maxey la xirmi la'dahay maanta!
  6. Ramadan Kariim to all SOLERS!!
  7. LOL! You are right! All the money I spend on gym, healthy eating, books on nutrition, clothes can afford me many vacations.
  8. LOL! Your rib cage? You dont need cushion on your rib cage, err, you just shouldnt see the them, cushion means calool or stomach fat! I envy you for going around the world. Is it for work?
  9. lOL! I got lill fat this summer. Too much Somali food! But I took yoga for its alleged mind-calming benefits which I yet to find because you are busy contorting into all kinds of weird positions. How was Syria?
  10. LOL!! I dont know why you'all jumping down JB's throat. He stated two facts: Most Arabs do hate Somali immigrants(too many examples to count) and yes, Mogdisho at this time in history is a BAD place to be.
  11. Morning/afternoon my people. I think I pulled something in Yoga class yesterday. I am bedridden today.
  12. Juxa most have lovely garbo, but I feel like wax qarsoon ma laha marka. I can see the bra color, the belly ring, and now they ditched the garbasaar for laastiik so I'm forced to look at their garbo too? Yucks! The guntiino is qurux especially with a wide belt and one shoulder or a half like a dress.
  13. Ninka ma dhagtaa u duran mise anaa u mooday? Congrats to him.
  14. Hello people. I am with CL, I hate this dirac-turned guntiino bussiness. And dont even get me started with the current dirac- with -elastic -bands on -the shoulder trend. waa uff. Dirac is see through as it is but apparently some girls think it is too restricting so they are showing their shoulders?
  15. I saw this movie and loved it! But I dont know why people exgarrated the concept. It was a brilliant concept yes but certainly not worth all the hype.
  16. OMG! So sad. I was expecting something funny.
  17. I love Sudais's voice. Alla maxaa ilmo iyo dad weeyn imitate gareeyeyn.
  18. LOL! I know Juxa. I smell it dee. CL, he used to daydream about you, so marka are you saying he is all talk? My break was wonderful, I visited a couple of states. I had a good time alxamdullilah! How is summer going? I heard reer London are nomads, yacni hal meel ma loogu tago, so adiga maxaa meesha ku dhigay?
  19. Law or law la aan, Jews HATE Arabs and they dont want to mix with them. So how dare ninkaan committ zina with the enemy of the state and not see what was coming for him. Building uu aaday kulahaa. Not too long ago, I watched this documentary about Jews children and Arab children during the peace hold back in 1994 or something. This Jewish guy went to Isreal and Gaza, trying to bring children from both sides together. The children had horrible stories to tell to each other from prison to witnessing murder. They played together, they ate together and it was sweet for a minute. They vowed to keep contact. So when the camera and the American Jewish guy left, the Arab kids were stunned to find out that the Jewish kids didnt want to meet, talk, or have anything to do with them. So my point is, there is nothing they hate more.
  20. Greetings my people. Sidde lagu baryey. I see i have missed so much. CL is finally marrying NG miyaa? Ok maybe not that much! LOL!
  21. Edeb daranaa maxaa u geeyey asaga? Consorting with the enemy. Serves him right. I hope he learns edeb in jail and stays away from the Jews.
  22. Ilaahay ha u naxariisto walaal. We we all go someday.
  23. I didnt watch the vedio and have no desire to watch because such contradictions are very common where I'm from. The school I teach at for example, the only Somali girl with a white boy(a wild one at that) is a girl who wears full hijaab(the top and the heavy skirt). You can see them french kissing on the hallways any passing period. In high school, the first time I heard ehem.. a certain sexual act was when two Hijabi girls and one boy engaged it in a our school bus mind you and got caught and suspended. So I'm with NNC here, the "cloth does not make the man." It doesnt mean that every Hijab wearing woman is a freak and it doesnt mean that they're all god-fearing people either. It is the responsibility of the parents to teach their kids the responsibility of the Hijab and if they are grown ups, it is their responsibility to learn diinta. May Allah show her the right path.
