  4. Have You Ever Felt This Way Before? I am a picture painted over another a simple creation an image of myself no one's discovered the painting below so they offer me no help whatsoever my eyes are painted brightly and a gleam of happiness reflects you would by no means imagine there is a sadness there to detect my smile is always an everlasting always there and will forever be it hides the experiences untold and helps others to accept me I'm bold and vivacious in public my painting shows no fear at all and my eyes are dry as they could get as if they've never shed one single drop of tear but it's what happens in the darkness that unveils the hidden painting unfound my eyes become a river at night when no one is lurking around there is a fear under the oil painting of my vicious dreams, losing my friends fear of the life I chose to lead and losing my precious love in the end when alone I carry no smile on my face it gets lost in the silence of the dark night and everyday the inner painting seeps through and the lost painting is finally in sight when the look in my eyes is real and my fake smile is the truth I looked at my surroundings and where was the one who promised to always be there Where were you? Peace, Love & Unity.
  5. Thalamus, thanks very much for sharing it with us my Sister. Well, call me an extremist ( I could be as i am the son of what many in here call Al Ittihad) but in my opinion I think there are few problems that cause our marriages to fail. This is my theory. 1-it's very rare these days to see two Somali couple praying 5 times day. we simply abandoned our religion which we know is a way of life. 2-there are a whole lot of Somalis whose parents' marriage were arranged and I am not against the good old way but the arranged marriages of today is pathetic to say the least because the arranged marriages of today involve in a guy or a girl that belong to same bloody tr!be? where is the love and guarantees in that when your mother forces you to marry a girl that you never met just because her family pay the qaaraanka and love their tr!be? Let's be honest here.i am glad my parents don't believe in that rubbish. 3.most marriages are over the top, I mean you have music, half naked girls dancing all over the place, shaking their rear end and stuff and then there's the extra large cake (some villages in Somalia could live on it for few days)with flower girls and oh my god, rings and then kiss? Just tell me if I described a Muslim wedding or Christian wedding now? 4-most guys don't even know that there's some one waiting for them at home, who cooked him a delicious meal, cleaned for him and is anxious to see him again, Waryaa, remember the girl could get food and a place to sleep at their house Nacasyahow so what are you doing at this time of the night still playing damn cards and domino? Brothers, come on, we all have friends, but a friend who keeps you from your wife is a friend that you can do without, trust me on this one. If you chew, go and chew at your house next to your wife, because what you are doing is totally against Islamic way of life. I can go on forever and I am not even married yet but all my friends have been nicked,so I know what causes the arguments...Sisters stop demanding lavish weddings please, the man loves you already, that's why he's marrying you plus a lavish wedding doesn't guarantee you a happiness and a long lasting marriage, does it? I know there will be nothing lavish about my wedding Insha Allah, plus NO MUSIC at all..Sssshhhh...but don't tell my lovely Lady I said that Pleaseeeee. . Peace, Love & Unity.
  6. Do you think you've been living in UK far too long? read these and see it for yourself. PS. This was 4warded to me by a cousin of mine who has been living in a small town called Bristol (God knows where that is)for the past 11 years. 1. You don't even bother looking out of the window when you get up in the morning to check what the day is like. You know it is overcast. 2. You believe that Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday are all good nights for chewing Miraa. Sunday day is also entirely reasonable. 3. You can't remember what 'customer service' means. 4. After a big night out you find yourself looking for a Curry house and not a 24 hour McDonalds. 5. You start to accept queuing as a way of life. 6. More than three hours sunlight on summer days seems excessive. 7. You always call soccer 'football' ... and you have a team ... and it's not Manchester United.(he supports Newcastle..by the way) 8. You don't think twice about buying a packaged sandwich. 9. A sunny lunchtime means searching for a patch of grass and stripping off practically down to your underwear. 10. You expect men to actually cut, comb and style their hair (using hair products). And to wear decent clothes. Jeans and a T-shirt are no longer socially acceptable. 11. You think 40 quid for a haircut is quite reasonable. 12. You finish every sentence with 'Cheers' or "in'it", and start every conversation with Hiya or Alright. 13. You only just realise you have lost your sunglasses-you left them in Greece 2 summers ago.( i think this is not for Somali folks) 14. You start thinking English cuisine isn't all that bad after all, I mean,it's hard to beat a full English breakfast. 15. You are on to your 6th umbrella and your second overcoat.(this had me laughing hard) 16. You buy a disposable baby BBQ from Argos. 17. You realise your sunscreen is the stuff you originally brought from home with you. 18. A day at the beach means wearing the warmest clothes you own while standing on golf ball-size pebbles and the thought of swimming doesn't even enter your head. 19. You actually say, "Sor'ed" or "its all gone a bit pear shaped". 20. Wearing a suit in a pub is relatively normal attire.(whatever happened to good old casual..i wonder) 21. You have given up complaining about the Victorian-like banking services offered in the UK. 22. You have given up explaining why you are half an hour late to work as no-one notices or even cares. In fact - you may even join the one hour gossip session around the coffee machine before booting up your computer. 23. Coming to work with a hangover is entirely accepted and indeed expected. PS. now guys be honest..tell me the truth.. my cousin gave me 7/10. Peace, Love & Unity.
  7. This is a Feel Good kind of topic particularly for those of us who believe in Love & Marriage. London - A British historian has discovered the tomb of a couple married for 81 years, accepted by Guinness World Records as historically unique. Thomas and Elizabeth Morgan celebrated their marriage in Cwmbran, Wales in May, 1809, which ended with her death in January 1891 when she had just turned 105 and he was 104 and 260 days. at the time, they had a combined age of 209 years, a record for a married couple. Thomas Morgan died in January 1893 at the age of 106 and 270 days. Historian Graham Lawrence, 72, came across their ivy-covered tombstone by chance during a walk, and found out that the couple had 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. That's Beautiful. Peace, Love & Unity.
  8. Dark Angel, This is Classic...Thanks for sharing it with us my Sister and may Allah keep your parents in good health Insha Allah. Aamiin. a piece of me is gone missing on tuesday morning september 27th there's a big empty hole in my heart my nerves tell me they can't go on my whole world and life just fell apart as my lonely mind slowly crumbles my battered soul starts to grumble under the pressure of pain & sadness, i feel like I'm mutilated from within and as i contemplate, and pretend to perceive, i continue to degenerate, without a single reprieve, I'm overcome by my painful greif, as i held on tightly to your lifeless body refusing to accept that you are really gone, gone from this world and gone from our lives pretending that this was just a bad dream, but now I realize that I can't and wont ever get over you you brought me into this world when i never did exist you gave me your best and showed me your greatness you loved me with all your heart even when you needed love it tears me apart to remember how hard I made it for you it hurts me deeply to remember that I was a trouble some still you loved me and kept caring and nurturing me as naughty as I was you never laid your hands on me i remember how dad used to get mad every time you came to my rescue i remember how he used to say that you are spoiling me he called it spoiling but you called it love not that i am saying he didn't love me.. god forbid dad said the best thing we can do for you right now is to pray for you every time we stood in front of Allah dad still loves you that is why he never married again still sleeping in your bed all by himself he said he doesn't want your memories to fade i respect that because that's a true love Mom and I Love You Mom & Always Will. I better stop before I hurt myself even more. Peace, Love & Unity.
  9. it was simply Barcelona show particularly Ronaldinho and Et'o...(did you see the dummy he sold to casillas for his 2nd goal?) earlier in that evening i was watching him being voted African Footballer of the Year second year in a row and as you know he couldn't attend the party but his wife did in a beautiful ceremony held in Durban-South Africa. i don't know how many of you are watching La Liga right now but i tell you Athletico Bilbao just beat Real Madrid 2-0 at Madrid..while Barcelona are beating Mallorca the same score courtesy of Deco double...Go Barca. Peace, Love & Unity. PS.Northerner, i thought you were a die hard Liverpool fan...what's up with the new nick? Just Asking... .

No No No Sxb...it seems you misunderstood me! what i meant to say is...your team's best bet is the League & the Worthington Cup only..FA Cup will be ours (don't worry about the game today against Sheff Utd) the dream of Chelsea winning the Champions league is a beautiful dream but unfortunately a far fetched one as i believe it's just bit out of your reach now considering all the heavy weights that are there. Good Luck..Sxb. Peace, Love & Unity.

I couldn't care less about your weight, your features or even who is a real Somali or not for that matter and I am sorry to say this but it seems you failed to grasp the basic concept of my words as I was Joking with Brown_Brother by making mockery out of his nick and not the complexion of the Indian & Chinese women besides I don't think there are Indian or Chinese albinos..have you ever seen one? PS. Apology is unnecessary Sxb as there is no harm done...forget about it..i have. Peace, Love & Unity.

  13. When the English & the French media were hot on the heels of that old Spanish daft Aragones he publicly asked the media to leave him alone and if my memory serves me well I think he admitted that he was called a "N!gger" once or twice by the same man while he was the manager of Real Mallorca so I don't know why he's singing a different tune now or maybe it could be because of what happened that night at Levante where the fans racially abused him or maybe Rijkaard & Ronaldinho encouraged him to Stand Up & Speak Up. either way I believe he should have taken a stand a long time ago unless he decided to turn the other cheek like a certain Ronaldo who even turned down to participate in the new Nike project "Stand Up Speak Up". full marks to Ronaldinho for standing up for his race and for his "mates" Thierry Henry & Roberto Carlos. Peace, Love & Unity.

  17. Below are four (4) questions. You have to answer them instantly, you can't take your time, answer all of them immediately. OK? Let's find out just how clever you really are. Ready? GO!!! (scroll down) First Question: You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person. What position are you in? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >Answer: If you answered that you are first, then you are absolutely wrong! If you overtake the second person and you take his place, you are second! Try not to mess up in the next question. To answer the second question, don't take as much time as you took for the first question. Second Question: If you overtake the last person, then you are...? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Answer: If you answered that you are second to last, then you are wrong again. Just tell me, how on God's earth can YOU overtake the LAST person?! You're not very good at this are you? Third Question: Very tricky math! Note: This must be done in your head only. Do NOT use paper and pencil or a calculator. Try it. Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000. Now add 30. Add another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000. Now add 10. What is the total? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Answer: Did you get 5000? The correct answer is actually 4100. Don't believe it? Check with your calculator! Today is definitely not your day. Maybe you will get the last question right? Fourth Question: Mary's father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3.Nini, 4. Nono. What is the name of the fifth daughter? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Answer: Nunu? NO! Of course not. Her name is Mary. Read the question again. PS.Forward this to frustrate the "SMART PEOPLE" in your life. Peace, Love & Unity.

PS. These same Primadonnas happen to be Champions who went a whole season without a single defeat and if i remember correctly won the championship in your own backyard from you..we feel bitter because we seem to have lost our title but your team finishing fourth means a success..that is the difference between Arsenal (The Greatest English Team Ever) and team from a city named Liverpool famed by the Beatles. . 21. Salam my Pacifist Sister, "Imagine" by John Lennon, I love that piece! Glad to know that there are people like you who still believe in PEACE. Don't let the dream subside my Sister and Stay Somali forever. Peace, Love & Unity.
  22. My People...it's time to rise up...I am simple man with a revolutionary vision but all I am asking of my people is an evolution...I am the voice of all the voiceless. in the absence of hatred and a world with no gun i swear our kid's life would've been more fun with no reason to emigrate from home and run my Somali people need to realize and learn that is if their hearts hasn't been eaten away by the pain yet i know most of us tried but not yet tired let's not stop until our cries are heard it's time the murdered babies & women's blood dried it's time to stop Mothers and fathers tears of hurt it's about time the daily dirge stopped for the sake of humanity and love let's all embrace each other and move let's set each other free and fly like a dove it's time to stop burning each other’s souls like a stove please protect my young daughter from the darkness help her grow to become a fearless lioness i love all children even those who are fatherless if they are murderers I still love them regardless give my regards to all the fathers for their success for not raising us to become evil and reckless i say it's time to repair the battered & bruised Somali pride it's been a long long time since I've seen my flag glide and never again shall we ever let our dignity slide i took the first step now it's your turn to drop the snide because I know when we unite we will form a deadly tide. Peace, Love & Unity.
  23. S.I (Soma_Inc) I am not sure about the quadruple but if I was a betting man I would bet on your team to win the premier league and beat Barcelona in the champions league however winning the trophy is slightly out of your reach at least this season and about the F.A Cup...well,you know which team I think will win just to salvage a battered & bruised pride.--->The One & Only Gunners<---! Northerner, I am patiently waiting for the day your team will be on the menu at Highbury but before then you can disrespect us as much as you want because of that damn fluke and last gasp goal but remember Thierry Henry never scores a one off lucky goal..just keep that in mind Sxb . Peace, Love & Unity.
  24. Maasha Allah, that was the most beautiful poem i've read for a while...thanks for sharing it with us my Sister Jazaaka Allah...and please give my regards to your cousin's friend Insha Allah. Peace, Love & Unity.
