  3. 1927-2005 Her wrinkled skin bear testimony to her golden age her eyes give away the secret of many tears shed her ancient footprints guide you to the many seasons witnessed gray became the colour of her once long straight dark hair her high somali cheek bones tell a story of their own her forehead spoke of the beauty that age kidnapped grace is all you see when you look at her peaceful face wisdom is all I heard every time she moved her lips pride is the fire I breathe every time one mentions her name I look at her pale looking skin and see a thick blanket that has endured all the cold winters of her lifetime in her pretty eyes all I see is soulful happy visions long before there ever was a set of television at home on her smooth and soft hands I felt kindness and thank God’s mystery her feet have walked all paths of life yet never neglected the soil her tongue told tales of her glory days in our mother tongue her lips sang songs that never failed to soothe my sorry soul her messages massaged the dignity of my beloved sisters her ancient words of wisdom sat my mind to positive freedom I kiss her feet in her golden and self mended shoes for she was a lady born with grace in a ripe old age through spoken word I relive her legacy right on this page listen to the songs I sing from the heart and help me pay her homage for she laid the foundation of this man’s life journey on this earth. 4. Assalamu Alaikum my dear brother Baashi, LooL@Khookhaani! Bro, I went to pay a visit to my old comrade BOB aka Robert Mugabe and see if he had any farm or farms reserved just for me, so I told my old lady that I was going to take her for a vacation to Victoria Falls and leave all the kids with their headaches behind and enjoy each other's company for once and have few one on one sessions along the way for old times sake because as you know age has finally caught up with me and I am not the rock hard I once used to be when I used to drink few gallons of camel milk each night before I went to burn the fat by teaching new yoga positions to my old lady. Zimbabwe is the only country on earth where everything is "Out Of Order" including humans? have you ever seen a human wearing a sign on his neck reading "Sorry, Out Of Order"?.. to cut a long story short..my old Comrade BOB disappointed me by telling me that he thought that I was deceased in the Somali civil war and he had my name wiped out from the Club and when I lost my temper at him and threatened to tell Mandela how he fancied Garca and before that Winnie and kept their pics under his pillow,he had me thrown away from the villa and I walked from Harare all the way to Koyama because in Africa you can't hitch hike...LoooL. Brother nice to hear from you and please pass my regards to the rest of the family Insha Allah and I wish you all the best. Peace,Love & Unity.
  5. it seems i forgot about SOL completely! Sorry folks,,,Thousand Apologies. Peace,Love & Unity.
  6. Bubbles* was a beautiful lady who was not afraid of the times she lived in, she was born and raised in Kismayo and she went to Khaled Bin Waleed high school and this is the story of a love that dared the boundaries fate imposed and went where the devil dared. Though his soul was his and his alone he's given it to her by choice and I am sure if she asked for his life, he would've replied YES without a hesitation because there are no enough words to describe how much Bubbles meant to him. He still remembers that bitterly cold night when she whispered "Promise to think of me when you look at yourself with undying love because that is exactly how I will always feel every time I look in the mirror and no matter where I go I can never do with out my reflection of you". There are none as blind as those who refuse to see and every one with eyes could see the chemistry between the two and Bubbles and Qori epitomized the meaning of "True Love" and you didn't need to know them personally and be friends with them to somewhat sense the love-spell these two were under. Qori made his sacrifices for his beloved Bubbles and it hasn't made him no lesser man, in fact in the eyes of his beloved Bubbles he was the most perfect man, the man worthy of the unconditional love that she had for him because no man ever made her feel complete as much as Qori did and no man ever managed to master the art of making Bubbles,(The most beautiful girl in Isku Filan Village) fall fully and madly in love. Bubbles loved and enjoyed writing notes, letters and even text messages to her beloved Qori and she once wrote to him "When people see me writing a text message they think that I am addicted to this text thing but they are wrong because it's you my love, that I AM ADDCITED TO" Though we are most alone when we are with a myth, this love between Qori and Bubbles was far from a myth, it challenges our human conscience just to understand how two souls entirely from a different paths of life could come together under hellish circumstances and still have not only love for each other but outmost respect for one another and adore each other beyond words. (I guess..Some things are best left unsaid..). Many times I advised him to slow it down a bit and take it easy and his reply was always the same, "it's not about how hard you fall for a woman but how soft she helps you land into the depth of her heart, because remember women never love men they can manipulate but once she sees you beyond that then she will guide you to her heart and allow you to be the center of her universe and Bubbles did just that" he would say with his trademark boyish smile. It was clear to all of us that they both had each other's number because they were happy whenever they were in the company of each other and they were also each other's number one without a single doubt and before he met her he used to tell me the things that would be precious to him but ever since he met her, I guess its safe to say that whatever he dreamed of just come true everyday with his beloved Bubbles. I end this by quoting a line from the book, which Bubbles wrote to her soulmate Qori. "I hope and pray to live forever under the blue sky of your love and when my time comes die in the warmth of your loving arms, I want to swim in the crystal clear waters of your emotions so that you can wash away my fear of losing you and though many wrongs I have committed, the only Hell that these eyes of mine can see is the very painful thought of waking up someday and discover that you're not the last person I kiss goodnight and the first face I see when I open up my eyes" PS. If you want to buy this book please call this number +27-21-14071981 and remember the first 50 callers will receive a signed copy by the man himself Qori but please don't even think about calling on a collect call, I don't care whether you're the Admin or Moderator, we don't discriminate we treat all equal as the first rule of business dictates us to protect our investment and this book is our investment. Happy Valentine's Day to Bubbles and Qori and to all the lovers out there including You and Your Companion. Peace,Love & Unity.
  7. Channel O aka Viking good to see you too my brother and Northerner how are you doing my brother, 187 my proud and patriotic Gunner, what's up partner? Soma_Inc Salama Alaikum my brother turned foe (Chelsea) . by saying Egypt will win, i knew what you guys didn't know (Tunisian Ref) i couldn't believe when he pointed at the penalty spot but i am glad Ivorians didn't walk out of the pitch as Drogba threatened because surely that would've been a suicidal. Drogba missing a sitter that seemed more easier to score than miss and then the penalty was very hard because for me (alongside Ahmed Hassan0 he was the player of the tournament and i hope CAF will give him the African Player of The Year award because he deserves it more than Eto'o and Micheal Essien. My highlight of the tournament was without a shadow of a doubt the moment Hossam Hassan lifted the trophy and what a gesture by Ahmed Hassan (The Player of The Tournament) to let the grand old man of not only Egyptian Football but Africa as well enjoy the limelight one last time because many players don't do that. here is a list of my team of the tournament. 1.Vincent Enyeama (Nigeria) 2-Hatem Trabelsi (Tunisia) 3-Boka (Ivory Coast) 4-Wael Gomaa (Egypt) 5-Kolo Toure (Ivory Coast) 6-Didier Zokora (Ivory Coast) 7-Ahmed Hassan (Egypt) 8-Obi Mikel (Nigeria) (What a prospect, what a talent,no wonder Chelsea and Man Utd are fighting over him ) 9-Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon) 10-Didier Drogba (Guniea) 11-Pascal Feindouno. PS. I don't know how many of you watched the Serie A game tonight between Inter and Juve, but Inter were ROBBED by the ref and his linesmen just like Udinese was ROBBED couple of weeks back, i guess now we all understand why Juve dominates Serie A by winning 28th times and fail in Europe misserably year in and year out. Shame on You Juve by destroying the image of Serie A. Peace,Love & Unity.

  10. Two old ladies were sitting outside their nursing home having a drink and smoke when it suddenly started to rain. one of the old laides pulls out a condom, cuts off the end, puts it over her cigarette and continues smoking. Molly: what in the hell is that Holly? Holly: it's called a condom, this way my cigarette doesn't get wet. Molly: where did you get it? Holly: you can get them at any pharmacy. The next day Molly hobbles herself into the local pharmacy and announces to the pharmacist that she wants a box of condoms. The poor pharmacist, obviously embarrassed looks at the great grandma kind of strangely (after all she's 80 years old) but very very delicately asks what brand of condoms she prefers. Molly replies "Doesn't matter sonny, as long as fits on a camel". the poor pharmacist fainted on the spot. Peace,Love & Unity.
  11. No Escaping: Three psychiatric patients decided to escape from hospital and stole the front door key from the head nurse. as they stood on the hospital doorstep, the first one said "if there's a high fence we will just climb over it". the second one said "if the fence is low we will just crawl underneath". as they prepared to get going, the third one shook his head and said "we are out of luck guys, there is no fence" they went back and locked themselves back in the hospital. Peace,Love & Unity.
  12. an anxious man called the hospital to ask how his pregnant wife was doing, unfortunately he accidently called the cricket stadium instead. but he didn't know this, so he fainted when the guy on the line said, "We are doing fine! three are out...we hope to have the remaining seven out by lunch and the last one out was a Duck"! Peace,Love & Unity.
  13. Kooleey, Assalamu Aleikum my dearest Faadumo Faarax, i am glad that you still remember the name that i gave you. what happened to your old name that i came to love? it's always a pleasure to hear from you and i am glad you're still around. Bishaaro, Assalamu Aleikum walaashiis, you won't beleive if i tell you where i've been to so let's not get into that because it will take forever to explain it. glad to know that the old timers are still alive and kicking... Assalamu Aleikum Ms Rift Valley aka raula, why do you always like to put me into trouble heh?sijafunja chochote na sina haja nayo. glad to hear from you too. Peace,Love & Unity.
  14. Brotherly Love: What caused this madness that detached you from reality, leaving you incapable of acknowledging I? i reach out trying to touch the soul of the brother in you leaving me cold with fear of never finding what I seek yearning for the brothers in pride we once were when a mere dream was all we had in the season of few when beside I you always stood firm for eternity if the floods of fate carried us apart to distant shores trust the blood in your veins to safely guide you home when you ask for me know that I do not stand beneath the surface or walk in single file with time ask if my arms can hold joy and share its bounty if I have eaten mango slices of passion for the love of its tempting sweetness if I lie awake to conjure new days with the heaviness of sleep in my eyes if my feet failed to lift me to the heights I dreamed of if my fingers went numb and my pen’s ink dried if I lost sight of the truth we all try to live by before my name dies with the fire in my belly ask not for less than my heart & soul for they belong to YOU first. Peace,Love & Unity.
  15. Somali: They call you nomad the guardian of the soil the son of a mighty and great warrior humbled by faith and hardened by fate your dignity crawls between heaven & the earth your beauty runs soul deep like your ancient land your thoughts refreshing like a spring morning your words soothing and they caress my soul bursting with life when death is all that surround you teaching love in these seasons of deep hatred how do you survive on this lonely planet? when your number disappears and tongue goes numb feeling trapped inside the walls of famine struggling with man made poverty and diseases you’re composed from dust with diamonds dangling from your hands you dance beneath the sky in the company of the stars making the earth tremble and shake with delight praising the soil that feeds you and your kind singing the moon a lullaby before the sun rises feeding your offspring with your ancient knowledge who will memorize the tales of our forefathers you told the poems recited for and of our unique race for your day of demise is beckoning in fast pace. Peace,Love & Unity.
  16. I am the beginning melody of stories told and tales forsaken i am breathing life into my own kind’s whole existence i am hidden in corner bookshelves behind men between lines i am soul searching for an ink to un-mute my voice i belong to a race that’s stripped naked and split their genes in my blood running through my veins though shame became the only animal we learned to tame don’t you trust in the belief that all that my kind do is leave everyday I mold and shape the wisdom of my ancestors birds sympathize but dare not feel pity for my people our sorrow and pain is engraved on the hills of struggle watch my people rise up and shine forever once again i am son of the soil telling stories of those who live so that I may see this day come in the cosmos we are balanced like the shape of my lady lover our souls are way up the stars but they shift on the planet's wind calm as summer seas yet furious as midnight hurricane i ask my conscience where does the joy of being "US" begin? when it limits the heart in the chest of this refugee i should take my sorrow with express train to heavens for I, like the moon need to shine by reflected light. Peace,Love & Unity.
  17. A woman didn’t want her b!tch (female dog) to have sex with her neighbour’s dog, the only way to stop it was to rub petrol on her dog’s buttocks! her little son was watching as she did this. One day she forgot to do her daily task, so when she came home in the afternoon she asked her son if the dog had gone out, the little guy replied “Yes Mom she went out. I don’t know where but you forgot to fill her tank with petrol and it seems she got stuck somewhere, but don’t worry though Mom, because I saw the neighbour’s dog towing our dog home!â€. Peace,Love & Unity.
  18. A Genuine Nomad: A Somali nomad having lived in the remote wilderness of Kumaxumaato all his life decided it was time to visit the big city Buulo Xaar. in one of the stores he picked up a mirror, not knowing what it was. The old oday remarked. “Amazing, Cajiib Sheekhow, here is a picture of my father who died many years†so he bought the “picture†and took it home to Kumaxumaato. On the way he remembered that his old wife had never liked his father when he was alive, so instead he decided to hang the “picture†in a special place in the jungle just outside his hut. Every morning before leaving for grassing field he would go there and look at it. His old wife began to get suspicious of these many trips to the jungle. One day after her husband left, she went into the jungle herself and found a mirror, as she looked into it, she shouted, “so this is the ugly old b!tch he is running around with, nacallaa wajigeeda kuyaal, waa waxaan xishooneynâ€. May Allah s.w Bless Somalia and Somali People. Peace,Love & Unity.
  19. Poor Husband: Simon gets home early from work and hears strange noises coming from the bedroom. He rushes upstairs to find his beloved wife naked on the bed, sweating and panting! “What’s Wrong Babes?†he asks. “I’m having a heart attack Dear†cries the wife. He rushes downstairs to grab the phone, but just as he’s dialing, his 4year-old son comes up and says.. “Daddy! Daddy, Uncle Sam is hiding in your cupboard and he’s got no clothes on causing Mama to scream!†the guy slams the phone down and storms upstairs into the bedroom, past his screaming wife and rips open the cupboard door. Sure enough, there is his brother, totally naked and cowering on the closet floor. “You Bast@rd†says the husband “my wife’s having a heart attack and you’re running around naked scaring my wife and the kidsâ€. What A Doqon Husband. Peace,Love & Unity.
  20. Egypt 2006 has once and for all proven to the rest of the world that African Football is more entertaining and unpredictable than many other continental showpieces including Euro Cups. Whoever thought that Ghana will fail in the first hurdle and worse lose to Zimbabwe after beating “Teranga Lions†aka Senegal and narrowly lose to Nigeria via a quickly taken Free kick? Who could foresee the failure that awaited my homeboys Bafana Bafana? They finished last after failing to score even a single goal? What a shame, yet they had the nerve to complain about bonuses…damn it Mamparas! How about putting some points on the board first before you discuss about CHELETE! Atlas Lions aka Morocco. how the mighty fell…they went home without even scoring one single goal but at least they managed two boring draws against they mighty Pharaohs and lowly Libya. My low point of the tournament has to be the day light robbery the Cameroon official carried out against Senegalese in the favour of the home team. I guess that is something African Football failed to get rid of and to make matters worse CAF (Confederation of African Football) failed to offer an apology to the Senegalese FA. If you thought that was the only blunder CAF made then check this out. The referee that will officiate today's final is a well-known corrupt official from Tunisia who couple of years back tried to convince a fellow referee from South Africa to abandon an African Champions League match between Hearts of Oak from Ghana and Esperance from Tunisia simply because he couldn’t stand watching his beloved Esperance lose to Hearts of Oak. What a Prima Donna? Who the hell does Mido think he is? Doesn’t he know that Egypt managed to reach the final without him? What has he done for Egypt except score one simple goal against Libya? Why doesn’t he throw tantrums every time Martin Jol the coach of Spurs subs him? Double Standards..you scream…you’re right..i reply. PS. I know you want to know which team I support but it’s neither Bafana Bafana nor Nigeria and certainly not Ivory Coast but the one and only EGYPT The Pharoahs. Come On Boys…I only got couple of hours so I better run home. Peace,Love & Unity.

  24. Today I stood tall against poverty but famine stood by me and with me starvation tried me and called for my execution i was born proud but pride died within the draught hunger forced my destiny & fate to mate hope has been my long companion without being my mate i whisper the words that the blowing wind fail to imitate i stare at the sky with hope and against poverty I stood i am too weak and the words I utter is misunderstood clouds gather and cry floods that only eliminate i lay my thoughts to rest at heaven's golden gate trying to figure out ways to negotiate with fate i speak of the unknowns that many wish to hate i pray to my maker not to make my seed another beggar i was born in a free land but freedom eluded me how can I rejoice freedom when I am still oppressed? where is the freedom?for my people have never been free we're schooled by a leftist, no wonder I fail 2 find the right clues death & destruction is all my soul is fed with as my daily news i see my kind's faces on every newspaper's front page i cry out of shame caused by the painful and burning rage a new circle of life ended before it even began children play indoors yet die with a bullet from a gun i mourn for every beautiful rose that's destroyed and gone i lay alone and naked, my mind covered in rags clothes taken from the skeleton in my closet i buried the hatchet under my pillow all because against poverty I stood. PS. Thanks to G8 for the inspiration. Peace,Love & Unity.
