This is a sad story about a young South African footballer named Jeremiah Pule affectionately known as "Shuffle" to the millions of adoring Kaizer Chiefs fans, he has the skills to match the greatest player in the world today Ronaldinho but unfortunately nobody knows him beyond the South African borders. For five years the local game has been under the spell of a little guy called Jabu Pule. For a quick background, Pule left behind a life of poverty in Daveyton in the East Rand (Johannesburg) to join SA's glamour side, Kaizer Chiefs. He graduated in no time from the junior ranks and at 18 he was earning big bucks and mesmerising fans with his skills and earned more bucks via countless man-of-the-match performances and club win bonuses for league and cup matches. Just as the nation was drunk with Pule-mania, the man showed little-known side of his genius: destructive dependency on drugs and alcohol. Infamous disappearance acts: Then came his infamous disappearance acts and Chiefs were at pains to maintain discipline and fairness at the team as they were forced to forgive Pule after every unscheduled time off for binging. The club also spent money on rehabilitation, hoping that their Enfant Terrible (or Little Drunken Master)as Pule was called, would change his ways. Chiefs eventually fired him and his former coach at the club, Muhsin Ertugral (from Turkey), called for him to join him at Austrian club SV Mattersburg but after just 10 months into his two-year contract, the club sent him back to SA after Pule was found drunk behind the wheel of his car on the side of the highway. The incident happened just hours ahead of a quarter-final cup match. (Aargh Shame..as they say in S.A) in August last year ambitious SA club Supersport United (Owned by DSTV..Africa's largest sattelite company) shocked the soccer public when they signed Pule, promising to help him keep to the straight and narrow. But just when he was starting to gel in his new environment, Pule's selfish and wayward manners resurfaced - once, twice and the third time he was fired in January. On his day, Pule is capable of producing the kind of breathtaking creativity and skill even the great Ronaldinho would appreciate and many others are not able to match. A dazzling and gifted footballer and just 22 years old, Jabu Pule once had the world at his feet only if he would battle and defeat his demons of Women and Booze that in the end would rob him the heights his talent deserves. Career highs and lows of Jeremiah Jabu Pule: Late 1990s - Plays for Greater Benoni Smiling Bucs and Sampdoria Club (all in his early teens) Mid-1997 - Joins the Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development Academy August 1998 - National under-20 debut against Malawi Mid-1999 - Turns professional and gets promoted to Chiefs senior team August 1999 - Chiefs debut against Amazulu at Johannesburg Stadium April 2000 - Scores a goal in his debut for Bafana Bafana(senior national squad)against Lesotho May 2001- Pule and teammate Patrick Mbuthu are suspended by Chiefs for absconding November 2001- Pule scores two brilliant goals in a match in which Chiefs beat Cosmos 5-0 to win the Coca-Cola Cup final December 2001 - Pule picked for the 33-man preliminary squad to play in the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations in Mali December 2001- Former Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Queiroz (now with Man Utd)drops Pule from the Africa Cup of Nations squad following his failure to attend a training session May 2002 - Voted the S.A Premier Soccer League's Player of the Year June 2002 - Represents SA at the 2002 World Cup 2001 - 2002: Pule plays a key role in Chiefs winning the BP Top 8, the Coca-Cola Cup, the Vodacom Challenge, the Telkom Charity Cup and the Mandela Cup. PS. All i can say is.. I wish you'd seen him in action then you will truly be amazed with the gift God bestowed upon this Wayward Genius! Peace,Love & Unity.

I wish i could continue but its time for Asar prayers... Peace,Love & Unity.

Brothers in Pride: My soul yearns for my brothers that destiny flew with I listen to the whispers of the wind hoping to hear their familiar voices I stare at Allah's creation praying to catch a glimpse of their friendly faces I force feed my conscience with hope for a better tomorrow while filling the void with my never ending longing I roam aimlessly on these lonely streets in the distant land Oh brother won't you lend my soul your helping hand I found myself between these unforgiving feuding seasons I call out your name for I ran out of reasons I carry around my empty flesh without a single drop of blood I pass on the torch of brotherhood but kept its burden I walk bare feet beside the fearless warriors of the sun-baked soil I help build the legacy of this sacred Somali name we share by honouring our ancestral heritage I honour you and our kind I stand beneath the tumbling mountain that is fate I praise the path you've taken to save my sorry soul our brotherhood mended by blood and blended with love soothe my soul and I shall revive your broken spirit like a flower blooming in May my eyes ought to rejoice your sight heal my hidden scars and I shall restore your dream for I am my lonesome without the sons & daughters of my beloved MOTHERLAND. Peace,Love & Unity.

There's a friend of mine whom we call Adnan Bangladesh because he looks a Bengali straight from Dhaka and sometimes even the Bengalis themselves confuse him for their fellow Bengali. but since this isn't Malaysia the brother gets harassed by the police instead of girls cause in this country Bengalis and Pakistanis stay illegally and whenever they see a Police they run like a Cricketer after a quick run in a test cricket match. one day I remember him calling me from the police station after the police arrested him and the poor guy left his ID at home and when he tried to talk his way out of trouble and told them that he was a Somali they laughed at him and replied "and we are Ghosts". to make matters worse the poor guy was out to impress a girl and when she saw the man who was busy telling her all these mind blowing stories lying on the floor with his hands cuffed behind his back, she fled for her dear life and wouldn't even pick up his call for a while but today they are happily married but the cops still harass him! What a Unlucky Brother! i will definitely pass this story to him Insha Allah. Peace,Love & Unity.

Socod_badne, You sound like a typical brainwashed American and their so-called Allies who still believe Iraq posed threat to U.S security and the rest of the so-called "Free World". You are so eager to accuse and criticize Osama Bin Laden yet you never say one word against Bush and Blair (the real terrorists) How come? They murdered more innocent people than Saddam and Hitler put together yet western media made you believe that they are righteous leaders with God on their side while they portray Islam and the Muslims as Evil and they associate everything Negative with Islam but you never seem to oppose that, How come my brother? Apart from quoting the western media (their powerful propaganda machine) what else do you have as a proof that Osama Bin Laden is indeed guilty of all the crimes he's accused of? Brother, you only heard one side of the story (the western story) so I would advice you to refrain from baseless accusations and give Bin Laden a reasonable doubt just like you are so quick and happy to give Bush & Blair a reasonable doubt. Peace,Love & Unity.

I bet you also agreed that Iraq possessed WMD and in your eyes it was OK for U.S and UK to invade a peaceful country and bring it down to its knees! Care to explain that before I tell you what's the common interest that me and Bin Laden share. Peace,Love & Unity.

Originally posted by Castro: how do you reconcile this with your admiration for Bin Laden? Brother my admiration for Bin Laden has nothing to do with politics..and I have stated that before.. I admire him simply because I and he happen to share a common interest! Peace,Love & Unity.

Originally posted by Ahura: You will never do what , exactly? Come to my Kingdom and I will explain to you everything you ever wanted to know about me and what I think of this so-called “Women’s Dayâ€! Abaayo Ahura...I don’t need inaan barto waxey tahay xuquuqda dumarka ee dumarka naftigooda ayaa ubaahan iney bartaan xuquuqdooda and I don’t need to acknowledge the women in my life only one day in the entire year..for me I celebrate women’s day everyday by honouring and respecting those in my life and those I come in contact with including those who are faceless friends like yourself. I would like to believe our mothers were feminists in their own way by not only being the fundamental and the backbone of the family but also the pillar of strength for our fathers yet we never heard or saw them challenging their husbands…but today.. for example.. just look at yourself and how you are being rude and disrespectful towards us yet the funny thing is.. you don’t know me from Adam. Not that I am asking you to respect me or be kind to me...not at all. Women’s rights isn’t about women’s liberation and women’s liberation isn’t about wearing trousers and smoking cigarettes and drinking like fish and wearing almost nothing and sleeping around (just because Men do it all the time) and behaving un-lady like in public.. it’s about respecting YOURSELF first and being proud of who you are..then maybe men will learn to respect the women folks because remember.. no man alive will ever bother to respect you unless you (woman) respect yourself by being a Lady first and foremost! PS. Happy Women’s Day. Peace,Love & Unity.

Written By : Ismail Yusuf "Babylon" a former Double D. Lost and backtracked in shadows of the past where voices are lost in an infinity of darkness trapped in a void that can never be tapped hiding away with no light to spark it carried away on the palm of the lost heat of the living, far and forgotten buried today under the frozen earth deep with frost the thump in my chest, long gone and rotten no one can find those lost in their thoughts waiting for this torture to come to a close soon I will be judged on my life that was naught but a premature destiny never to unfold my soul seems cold the love faded black no one there to hold except a bruised back beaten over personality and quick reactions how can my life be the best with out me? I only look back to my childhood for satisfaction ridiculed over things i say and thrashed on things i do God if you hear me..i pray you help me please as i silently scream out for your most glorious name. Originally posted by Castro: Are you saying religious fanaticism is akin to madness? to some extent YES,, and every religion has it's own fanatics including our own Islam which is shame really..because in no where in the beloved and most noble Qur'an did Allah s.w permitted us to kill women, children and innocent people and as every Muslim should know..the most glorious Prophet Muhammed s.a.w was most kind to women, children and the weak and today the so-called Muslim Terrorists plant a bomb in public places where all kinds of innocent people are found including some devout Muslims.. so yes we have our own FANATICS who are using Islam to their sleazy advantages..just like we Somalis use Islam when we have a certain agenda.. May Allah s.w Guide Us All Through The Right Path Insha Allah.. Aamiin. May Peace Be With You All Insha Allah & Good Night. Peace,Love & Unity.

First and foremost I wasn't trying to be funny at all though because i was told many times that i didn't have any sense of humour at all.. about the name.. BOB isn't Marley ( though i used to like his music back in the day when i used to LOVE music but Alxamdulillaah now i can't stand music and stopped wasting my time and my few cents on that filth)! There is another famous BOB who also happens to be called Robert and that is Mugabe and they both have nothing to do with why i chose this name but instead it has everything to do with my Sijui cousin whom i grew up admiring so much and his nickname is BOB..now in Nairobi..especially in Eastleigh people speak slang and that's where BOB comes in which means 1 Shilling...so if my cousin was from Somalia his nickname would've been Cusmaan Shilin... and about Osama.. i admire him as he is the only Muslim and Arab man on the face of the earth today with BALLS..and my admiration for him got nothing to do with Al Qaeda and 9/11 (i believe he had nothing to do with it even though he said it that he has just to make few ignorant souls like me hail him as a Hero)... PS. No need to thank me for my troubles my brother...know YOU ARE WELCOME. Peace,Love & Unity.

Castro, This article reminds me of a story i posted a while ago..about some twisted dude somewhere in far east asia who jumped over a zoo fence into a lion's cage and started to scream at the lion "Jesus Wiil Save You" his crazy behind needed to be stitched up just to be saved! Peace,Love & Unity.

Maybe it was a "Human Canon"... i have been staring at the sky for almost a decade now and i am yet to see other than shooting stars and planes because there's nothing more beautiful than the African Sky at night especially when you're here in the Kalahari where the stars wink at you and the moon smiles at you shamelessly... I know a Somali brother who went to prison for a crime he didn't commit and "Lost" almost 5 years of his life only to come out as a Master of the crime he was accused of before...He went to prison just to become a professional Criminal.. a real master when it comes to car alarms and today he steals expensive cars for a living.. whose fault is it then? I think he's joining the wrong club if you ask me...LooL! I am happy for the kid and his family especially considering where he comes from which is one of the poorest slums in Nairobi..i say let the kid make his poor Mom and Dad's dreams come true by buying them a "ploti" in Muthaiga ! Northerner, Nuune, Ngonge and the rest of the Somali Liverpool fans you've even more reason to support the reds now . once again i hope and pray he will make it Insha Allah because as a Somali i really feel its long over due now and finally we will have a kid we can all be proud of regardless which team he plays for... Personally speaking..i would stand and salute him the day he nut-mags Ashley Cole or Toure or Ebue or any other Arsenal player for that matter and scream "Oye Huyo Ni Chali Wangu.. Chali Wa Mtaa" Peace,Love & Unity.
