Salam Aleikum W.W I trust many of you have had a bad experience in life over the years, but how many of you can say they had to deal with armed robbery while in a mosque praying? Well, my friend has. On Sunday evening one of my best friends was at the mosque praying Maghrib with the congregation when three armed men walked in and ordered everyone to lie down and hand over whatever they had on them. There were not that many people in the mosque at that time as this mosque is located in downtown and he said there were roughly about 20-25 people and he was in the first line waiting to Sujuud for the third and final Raka'a when they suddenly heard loud voices ordering people to lie down and be quite and they kept shouting and cursing people at the top of their voices until the Imaam somehow realized what was going on and stopped the prayers and asked people to remain as calm and co-operative as they could and do as they were told. Fortunately for my friend, he didn't have any valuable items on him and when they checked his pockets & wallet, they only found loose change, credit cards and a picture of his family, which strangely one of them congratulated him on how beautiful his family looked. They went through everybody's pockets & wallets including the Imaam and took everything they could find and when they were done, thanked the congregation for their co-operation and peacefully left. I know I shouldn't have done it, but I couldn't resist laughing at the craziest story I have ever heard, in fact, make that the weirdest and the most absurd one, I don't think I laughed as much as I laughed when watching The Last King Of Scotland, which by the way is a Comedy more than anything else...(That's another Story). Alxamdulillaah, I have never ever had the misfortune of going through the dilemma of experiencing any kind of armed robbery yet, but that's the reality people face here 24/7..so Ladies & Gentlemen Welcome To My World. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

Salam Aleikum W.W Red Sea, My Brother, I already got two wives and one is Xamarawi and the other is Sijui and i thought i should try a Northerner as a third and then finally a Galti for fourth so i can be fair to all the regions. According to a friend of mine who hails from Borama..they got gabdho isku dhacaayo over there marka i thought i should get my third one from Borama but whether i can afford her dowry is entirely another matter but one thing i guarantee you is that...Jinni aan ku ridaa sidaa Macaaneey iyo Abaayo keen aa mac ku siiye iyo mac isii ugu haayo... By the way have you ever heard two Xamaraawi oo isku baal riigaayo? now is the chance for you to know how we do it in the South.... Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

How about if i don't have a light to shut off? Peace, Love & Unity.

so far the Northerners are leading the Southerners 7-1 and finally, i am glad to see them beating the Southerners on "Something". I am planning to go to Borama for a third wife and i can't put down my brother/sister-in-laws that is why i am not going to post any jokes about the Northerners. Peace, Love & Unity.

Salam Aleikum W.W My brother Villa...i am not sure if all the names mentioned are Gooners but i am willing to take their word for it and give them the benefit of the doubt. Leave Castro alone..what about Osama? whom i heard bought his Arsenal jersey from the Arsenal Shop the last time he was in London. When i first heard that story which was after the 9/11 incident i shared with every friend of mine that i knew was an avid Arsenal fan and the funniest thing happened when i told a non-somali friend of mine whom i knew was a nutter and straight away he told me that he's going to buy a new jersey and put Osama's name on the back .. I never thought he had the balls to do it especially him being a new convert but guess what? few days later he came to the mosque for duhur prayers with his new jersey and true to his word it had Osama's name with number 1 and from then on he never put any other name on his jerseys...he now sports the new kit with Bin Laden 14 on the back and he even had the opportunity to watch Arsenal Vs Man Utd last season at highbury and told me how people sitting beside/around him thought it was creative of him to do that PS. Villa maybe you should try with Castro Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity

That's one of the great advantages i have living in Africa..I never worry about if my food is Xalaal or Xaraam as i don't have to go non-muslim owned restaurant or super market to get what i want and in this country we have Nandos owned and run by Muslims but personally speaking i hate Bisbaas (even their so-called Mild..is too much for me) so no Nandos for me... a friend of mine once ate Fox meat...this isn't a joke...we once went to a nearby country where they don't speak one single word of English and normally when i travel around i don't eat anything and i only purchase fruits and water, unless i am going on a long journey where i know how long i need to drive to get to the next Muslim owned grocery. I was more experienced than him when it came to this particular journey as i have travelled along this route more than he did and once when we stopped at a gas station i told him to buy anything he needed now as i was planning to sleep (it was his turn to drive by the way) and there weren't any Muslim owned stores with in the next 4 hours.. Wouldn't you know..my great friend told me it was Ok and he could hang on for four more hours and we drove off...i fell sleep along the way and i suddenly i woke up after i sensed that we weren't moving anymore..what do you know..my old buddy was busy enjoying his meal..i asked him where he bought this meat from and he replied (even telling me the name of the store..which was owned by a Portuguese)! in this country if you ever eat anything owned by a Portuguese then i am afraid there's every chance that what you ate were 99.9% Xaraam as they only sell Pork and other not Xalaal stuff. I told my friend to stop eating that meat right away and throw it away as it wasn't Xalaal...the cheeky monkey thought for once in his life he would WIN and i lose..he said..relax..i asked him not to give me Pork....i had to laugh..really really laugh hard as i knew what that guy sold apart from Pork... I am still laughing now...Istaaqfurullah. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

Naah..her name was Cawrala! Everytime i hear that name i remember my late Madrassa teacher who used to refer one Kenyan nomadic tribe called 'Turkana' as cawrala..because he used to say..kuwani cawra ma laha..that's why you always find them naked..lool PS. If i tell all the jokes i have about our brothers & sisters from the North..there will be a riot in here..so i rather keep them to myself maxaa yeelay saacadaan garuun maka bixi karo aniga widaayoow. Peace, Love & Unity.

Where's Valenteenah's Picture? I will buy her pictures as i like her more than i ever liked Barwaaqo and i am willing to pay as much as S.SH...! I didn't know people still went to Zab aka Allah-bari in this day and age (depending where you come from) and there was one bald headed dark guy eyeing an Old lady's hilibkeeda..I wonder who that guy was supporting? PS. I thought Mnpls had more Somalis than 16 people...what happened to the majority? why didn't they come to celebrate their country's "Liberation" by the mighty Ethiopian army from the Terrorists? Peace, Love & Unity.

Haye...in af-keena la caayo maa biloowdeen hadana? I never knew folks from North called 'us' Southerners 'Xamarawi' & 'Wanla-Weyn' until i met a girl who asked me if i was a Wanla-Weyn and i thought she was asking me where i was from and i said to her..Maya Abaayo..aniga waxaan ahay Reer Kista" "Dee...Wanla-Weyn baad tahay ee inaga aamu" she replied aggressively..i almost ran away. I love Northerners accent especially the ladies..ahem..yeah...which is why i decided to go to Borama and get me third wife Insha Allah. Peace, Love & Unity.

The Majestic: Some say her deep words leave you hypnotic i thought they were only being sarcastic jealous friends accuse her of being toxic they say she's addictive like a narcotic they look down on her and call her pathetic they spread sick lies that make them sound lunatic they despise honey because she's not Cushitic they say she is only after my soul and wants to nick she is absolutely loyal and faithful with no dirty antic i can't deny this sweetheart is simply majestic they say she could set your soul off like a ballistic i admit she's tempting and her charm is magnetic they accuse her of turning me into a demonic what nobody knows is she is a true mystic they're reluctant to admit honey is a true relic they warn me never to take her out for a picnic they say she sticks to you like she was a mastic they say her knowledgeable thoughts are metric she's blessed indeed and truly and fully academic they say she may cause me a disease that's organic she loves it when I rub her smooth body with my pen Bic they don't know honey is my only cure when I am sick as long as I am here on this earth she is the one I pick and she will always be my fantasy come fantastic. That girl is POETRY. Peace, Love & Unity.

WordPlay: We used wordplay before the foreplay played mind games with no foul play mixed it with the spoken word to caress loosening up helped her release the stress she was shy and didn't ask her to impress her pretty eyes shut but awake is her beautiful mind the love session was indeed one of a kind her smooth body's temperature rose as she got hot like a volcano her soul suddenly erupted told her to enjoy it for we wont be interrupted she said it feels so good is that corrupted? i wanted to set her spirit & soul free how at times she tried to get up and flee i said forget the past this is a new beginning the day you'll finally be free and grinning this is only a wordplay and we're not sinning this isn't story but a love never to be re-written an innocent heart not meant to be smitten. I told her to lay across on the waiting bed uncross your body and let the words take over she didn't want us to finish before it was over i got more than enough for few more verses we stepped forward for we failed to reverse i went for the honey while she poured us milk we didn't wash and chose to leave the dishes in the sink on the dance floor she became a heavy breather i told her it was ok if she wanted to weep didn't hurt her but I had to dig and talk deep her body got tense from the slow dance she tried to catch her breath but not a chance didn't want her to be alarmed when she shivered because before the next chapter she would quiver she was at the mercy of the wordplay of the mind when we done she smiled & told me how I was kind. That is what Wordplay is capable of. Peace, Love & Unity.

...So I Live On The blunders of my forefathers became my fate's burden carrying the weight of their guilt on my innocent shoulders history paints the untold sins of the saints in my nation I was born peacefully before I bore my life's poison bred through poverty without the guilt of impure wealth shouldering the blame of my destiny's deteriorating health rejoicing the present laughter before the future sorrow painting my joyful mood with the colours of innocence floating through the calm wind under the grinning midnight moon while my dust decorated feet danced the night away child of greater SOMALIA I am with a soul that stood the test of time I shall LIVE ON to exist far beyond the darkness of today I aspire to resurrect the forgotten feeling of being one of a kind our wisdom diminished the day our poetic minds went numb disowning the gift to paint paradise with our ancient tongue abandoning our nomadic philosophy for an urban legend sacrificing our sense of ancestral being for illusion help me un-mute the silenced noble living inside of us I ought to wipe clean the walls of shame that bear our name for survival lies in the path that leads to our dignity's revival humbled by the peaceful ballads my dying kind mumble before I tumble with grief hear our NATION's stomach grumble. Salam Aleikum W.W My Brother Villa..this is for you as you will now know that Arsenal are OFFICIALLY the team with the most celebrity fans in the entire UK. Enjoy it Comrade . http://www.arseweb.com/other/celebs.html PS. The funniest thing is..i hardly recognize any of the names mentioned let alone their backgrounds and which team they support...maybe you will as most of them seem to be Brits. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity

Salam Aleikum W.W SoMa_InC..How are you my brother...a friend of mine also began supporting Chelsea in the days of Ruud Gullit and he says Ranieri was instrumental in laying down the foundation for Chelsea as he brought Lampard & Makelele and don't forget gave Terry the opportunity to play week in week out and named him as vice captain. coincedently his name also happens to be (Guess What?) and he used to hate Arsenal with passion and i used to give him hell every time Blues lost to Gunners (which was ALWAYS ) but lately he sees Utd as the enemy and not Gunners and he went ballistic when Henry scored the winner against Utd last week! He hardly agrees with Mourinho's tactics and believes Ferrera, Geremi, Bridge and Hilario aren't good enough to play for Chelsea and most importantly he says Ballack & Sheva's signings contributed to Chelsea's down fall as they disturbed the team balance...Do You Agree? Foxy & Cara...glad to know you two are Gooners..as you already know we kicked the behind of our pathetic neighbours called Spurs and Wenger said he will field the same youngsters that got us to the final and i say WELL DONE...because these kids deserve a shot at the limelight and i sense a mighty upset on the cards....SoMa_InC Be Warned Bro. Peace, Love & Unity. Salam Aleikum W.W

Somali Child: Their world divided in pieces people fighting against peace lost children of motherland their young life banished out here made pay by the devil's hands innocent infants die of unknown diseases they starve for greed of hatred shameful sights in my beloved Somalia makes reality seem so true I swear,I feel for every child whose life is left out there to rot evil, greedy and rich warlords sleep easy on God's destroyed castle is this world of ours so shameful? is it every man now for himself let rule by a face of dirty paper but how important is your wealth? I don't ask you to give in pity but to give only to the needy for rich men's wealth and greed I gaze on their faces of sadness of hunger hurt and ask...are we all heartless? but these children do not ask what worth their life is for? Peace, Love & Unity.

I seek refuge from my hurtful sadness caused by our madness where tragedies of our yesteryear still haunt our tomorrow hatred consumed our hearts and today shame is bemused infants are executed mercilessly and fairies abused openly a whole generation is reduced to a wandering mute ghost from the beginning of my being to my turf in the coast for those whose souls borrowed by the bloodthirsty evil sow the sorrow my fallen Somali nation reap today I grief in silence while watching motherland weep when the nation's once shining star fell from the blue sky we fell prey to the ungodly devil when we stopped praying we embarrassed kindness when we openly embraced cruelty drank from the poisonous & shallow wells of betrayal to watch our enemy devour us is what we chose gambled our dignity away and today we lost homeland I curse whose soul brought my kind's untimely demise may their eyes never find rest even in their sleep for they silenced my brotherly voice inside my sisters may the almighty resurrect the guardians of the beloved faith may he deliver us from the unjust of these times we live in. Peace, Love & Unity.

My Dream: I dream of a life without death and sorrow a life where we know who's going to die tomorrow empty and pain will be feelings of the past where nobody comes in first or finishes last a life of hope and a life where time prevails life with no need of any information or any details money is not a need and everyone can read a life where the handicap by themselves can feed a life I can trust, a life filled with true love and not lust life that eats away at happiness without any rust nobody will curse and fuss, grudges will never be seen a child is born with a fate that hasn't been sealed a life where every broken heart will he healed by the magical touch in Allah's fingertips a life where Somali children will be born in peace no parent will bury their infants piece by piece a life where my people will unite in the name of Allah no more denying each other and share whatever we got a life where the homeless will own thousands of rooms where young Somali brides grow old with their chosen grooms in my dream I see my people loving themselves more putting Allah first before their deceiving false pride I dream of a life where we bury our hate instead of our sons when I finally find true love I shall spread it in tons poetry shows me this place in my mind's space when I dream. I DEDICATE this to the family members & the relatives I have lost in the recent war against Ethiopia and all the martyred brothers & sisters, May Allah s.w reward them all with Jannatul Ferdoz Insha Allah. Tell my family & friends when they look upon me dead weeping for me and mourning me in a painful sorrow do not believe that the corpse you see is I in almighty Allah's name, I tell you, it is not I I am a spirit and this is only a flesh it was my abode and my garment for a time I am a treasure by a talisman kept hid fashioned of dust which served me as a shrine I am a pearl which has left it's shelve deserted it was my prison where I spent my time in brief the place where i experienced my mother's grief like a captured bird this body was my cage I have now flown forth and it's left as a token Praise be to Allah who has now set me free and prepared for me my place in the highest of the heavens until today I was dead, though alive only in your eyes now I am in birth with the grave clothes discarded today I hold conversation with the saints above now with no veil between, I see Allah face to face I look upon the tablet and there in I read whatever was and is and all that is to be let my house fall in ruin; lay my cage on the ground cast away the talisman, it's a token no more lay aside my cloak, it was but outer garment place them all in the grave, let them be forgotten I have passed on my way and you're left behind your place of abode was no dwelling place for me think not that death is death nor it is life A life that surpasses all we could dream of here while in this world, here we are granted sleep death is but sleep, sleep that shall be prolonged be not frightened when death draws near it is but the departure for this blessed home think of the mercy and love of your lord give thanks for his grace and come without fear what I'm now, even so shall you be for you're even as I am the souls of all men came forth from Allah the bodies of all men came forth from Allah the bodies of all are compounded alike, good and evil alike i give you now a message of good cheer May Allah's peace and joy forever more be yours. Peace, Love & Unity.
