Salam Aleikum W.W Many moons back I was chatting to this sister online and after a while she asked me if I'm Wallaweyn...now I took it as if she was asking me if i was from Wallaweyn and the true reer Kismaayo I'm...I told her...No I'm from Kismayo then she said you're even worse than Wallaweyn…I was still thinking that she was comparing Wallaweyn to Kismayo and I honestly thought that she was an airhead to even mention Kismayo in the same sentence with Wallaweyn and started lecturing her about Kismayo and all the things that's great about it and she started defending Wallaweyn and saying things like at least the people from Wallaweyn are Somali while you guys are not...now can you imagine how I felt when she started to deny me my Soomaalinimo then she asked me to send her my pics to prove her point and yours truly said to himself "mmmhhh she isn't an airhead after all" as I thought she just wanted to have my pics... My Brother Tuujiyee...My point is...it doesn't matter whether the word is offensive or not I just believe we SHOULD NEVER call each other names...PERIOD. but to get back to your question...since the war many things have changed my brother...many neighbours hate each other's guts today...many relatives went their seperate ways and even some tribal names are deemed to be offensive today while back in the day they were...well...just normal tribal names but today you utter that tribal name and those who belong to it will kill you ( at least that's what they told me)... I'm sure your friend didn't mean no harm when he was calling you all those names simply because if they were offensive I don't think he would've called you and vice versa...but unfortunately today all those words are considered to be derogatory and it's not you and me or your friend who made it but the sick soceity that we're born amongst called Somali. My Kobole. Peace, Love & Unity.

Salam Aleikum W.W Are you kidding me? Birthday Bash for Jaceylbaro or there is some one else in here named JB? Oye some one should clarify this for me before I let the monkey out of the cage because if it's indeed Jaceylbaro then I know his real age and I wil be more than happy to let the whole world know that Jaceylbaro is a pensioner or you want me to put it more politely and say senior citizen? Jaceylbaro...dee ninyahow Happy Birthday ku odhan kadhi maayo illeyn taa caruurtaa lagu yiraahdaa gaar ahaan kuwa faranji la dhanqanka ah adiguna waan is ognahay xilligaad dhalatay faranjiba lama uumin oo ifkaba laguma arag marka innagii un baan nahaye dee waxaan ku idhaahdo iisoo sheeg...inta ka horeeysana dee Ilaahey ha siiyo caafimaad iyo cimri dheer adiga iyo inta aad ifka ugu jeceshahay...intaa kadibna salaan qiimo iyo qaayo leh iga gaarsii inantii reer Booramee aan ifka inta dumar saaran ugu jeclaa. Salam Aleikum W.W For some reason these sort of matches are the ones that I hate most...they're sweet once they go the way you would've wanted them to go but fail to do so and they leave you with a nasty feeling and not to mention a bruising ego...are you with me? lol I'm referring to the match tonight...I'm nervous about Blackburn and Mark Hughes could tell them to play their beloved kung fu football and before you know it Arsenal are in a mess plus I suspect he already had a phone call from Alex Ferguson telling him to kick the Arsenal boys out of the park just like Man Utd did with Reyes... Adebayor...the stage is set for you baby...two goals and you are on top...as a striker I know there's no better feeling in the world than being a leading goal scorer marka go ahead and win the game for us... PS. Clichy or Sagna should stick one to Bentley to remind him that there's a reason why he was allowed to leave while the rest stayed..Banter kulahaa...since when did banter win anything for anybody...There's no team in the world that has more Banter in the dressing room than Senegal and what did they win? my point exactly... Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

Salam Aleikum W.W First and foremost C-O-N-G-R-A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S to the GREATEST African nation for winning the African Cup of Nations title how many times now.....My brother Northerner please fill in the blank space for me and secondly congrats to my fellow Pharoahs fan Ngonge...you know your African football indeed and for that I take my hat off to you. and for the rest...based on your comments...I realized most of you just hate Arabs for god knows why and it's a shame...but then again you're Somali and we're known to have the tendency to always hate the wrong people and love our enemies...however...you forgot that this is a sport and in sport you're supposed to be fair and give credit where it's due and keep your personal feelings to YOURSELF... Ivory Coast played fancy football and I for one enjoyed watching them thoroughly and without a shadow of a doubt they got the most talented squad in Africa right now but football is a team sport and if you don't have a good team you can't win and in Egypt they came against the best team in this year's African Cup of Nations...credit must go to Hasan Shehata for building such an awesome team quitely which made the African journalists write them off simply because they chose to play their friendlies against Angola, Chad, Burkinafaso and other African minnows while your Nigerians, Ghanians, Cameroonians and Ivorians of this world chose to play against the footballing super powers and for me that's where they completely lost the plot...why on earth would you play against a European country in Europe when you're about to play African Cup of Nations here in Africa? Let's talk about another sickness that the most African teams suffer from...DISCIPLINE...I don't know if you've heard but just 24 hours before Senegal faced South Africa 6 players went to clubbing until 4 AM and who was the ringleader? Yep..you guessed it...El Hadji Diuof...the captain himself...do you want to hear another story? The players of Ghana and Ivory Coast went on a drinking binge and some reports said there were even strippers brought into the camp and imagine this happened when they both qualified for the Semi-final beating Nigeria and Guinea respectively and what were the Cameroonians and Egyptians doing you may ask..well they were sleeping peacefully in their own beds...saving energy for the semi final...what did the Ghanian officials tell the world when they lost to Cameroon? some of our players suffered from Malaria and others from injury at the training camp they said...yeah right...I guess that explains why Abedi Pele said that there's too much outside influence on the team and some players were selfish and lacked discipline...his two main worries. Cameroon will be back as they are a team going through a transition period right now that's why I was referring to them as Cubs instead of their famous Indomitable Lions and Nigeria will fire their coach Berti Vogts which they should never hire in the first place as there's nothing a German or English coach could offer to African football as we play entirely different football than the one they're accustomed to and Ivory Coast shall more or less have the same team and until they give their all and show fighting spirit and determination the same way they do for their European teams then I'm afraid the poor Ivorian people will taste another major disappointment and while they are at it they should add URGENCY to their game and stop pretending to be Brazil and it's high time that Aruna Dindane delivered when it really matters...he was major disappointment but then again most of their big names were on that night and I remember Abedi Pele suggesting before the game that if he was the Ivorian coach he would've started with Boubacar Sonogo from Werder Bremen instead of Dinadane and I totally agree with him and I feel sorry for my favourite Ivorian in Bacary Kone...I enjoyed his thunderous strike against Guinea...and last but not least the mighty Pharoahs, the kings of african football both at international and club level, African cup of nations tournament record holders from appearance to winning to goal scoring…will lose few players to age…and I suspect we may have seen the last of Wael "The Rock Of Gibraltar" Gomaa, Ahmed "Captain Marvel" Hassan but they should have no worries as their names shall forever live on thorough the golden legacy they leave behind and I SALUTE THEM as they thoroughly deserved to win it even if Emad Motaeb never found the net and almost gave me a heart-attack when he missed two quick chances but I forgive him even if I'm an Al Zamalek fan...but their crazy fans left my family sleepless last night in Cairo. PS. Kudos to the Egyptian Football Federation for giving Hassan Shehata a two year contract just 24 hours before the Final...That was beautiful. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

Salam Aleikum W.W Don't you like it when we act like Caddaan and take their ridiculous beliefs seriously? Sorry to disappoint you people I'm the child of first cosuins and Alxamdulillaah I'm as healthy as the next man if not more healthy and so are my brothers and sisters marka I would advice you to refrain from Inaad Xaaraam ka dhigtaan wuxuu Ilaahey Xalaal ka dhigay... hadaadan idinka rabin inaad guursataan your cousins...that's your personal choice but don't give me a rubbish excuse that you've read somewhere or heard from a movie you once watched when you first came to the west. PS. Stay Somali People. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

Salam Aleikum W.W I don't even remember the last time I visited women's section and tonight the link you provided took me there and I'm not happy at all... I thought I should get that out of my xabad dooro oops digaag sorry. You should apologize to me for the all the times that you've wronged me...like when you mistreated me, disrespected me, humiliated me, insulted me, spread false rumours about me and last but not least bullied me which happens daily and you should apologize to me before I die otherwise my memories will forever haunt you and trust me you wouldn't want that. I wont forgive you unless you pay me 5000 pounds as a bribe and I expect you to pay the full amount in cash and I wont accept if its one pence short...just remember that…and one more thing...you must tell the whole world that you're sorry for what you did to me... it's 01:44 AM for me and you will never ever believe whose laptop is it that I'm using but when I read the topic and what was it about...I had to take advantage of this lifetime opportunity and get my apology while you're still in the mood of being nice...so go ahead then madam and APOLOGIZE and if I miss it (there's every chance that I will miss it since I will be on the road for the coming few days with the owner of this laptop...a great man and may Allah s.w keep him in safe and in a good health Insha Allah) you will repeat it. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

Salam Aleikum W.W as a kid I supported Inter Milan...I still do to this day but my love for the greatest team London ever knew started when I came to Kenya as my sujui cousin whom I grew to love beyond words was a Gooner and he used to play for a local team called Reunion in the Kenyan Premier League (I'm told these days they're in the lower tiers) as his influence on me grew so did the love for the Gunners and I remember going mad when Arsenal beat Sheffield Wednesday in the F.A Cup Final replay in the early or was it in mid 90's...I can't quite remember...and from then on slowly but surely I became a Gooner myself and now it's me who keeps him posted about Arsenal as he's in U.S and doesn't follow football as much as he used to...so as far as England is concerned I've never followed any other team but I like Newcastle thanks to the amazing skills of Faustino "Tino" Sparilla and David Ginola...I just feel sorry for them every time I see them being hammered which sadly happens almost every game. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

Our brothers from Sudan got a thrashing of their own in the hands of the Chipolopolo aka Zambia...they played a good football and there were few decent players in their ranks and their skipper who also happens to be the skipper of Al Hilal Haitham Mustafa is one gifted playmaker too bad waa caato and he was easily been pushed aside all through the match but believe me that guy can play...ask any Al Ahly fan what he did to them in the last year's African Champions League semi-final... PS. The maid thought that there were few Somali players playing for them...she said they looked like Somali in everything including the names. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

Salam Aleikum W.W The game ended in 5-1 THRASHING to Spurs....and 6-2 on Agg...YEAH it's true Spurs BEAT Arsenal 5-1 at the Lane and We're out. Arsene Wenger massively underestimated Spurs way too much and it backfired badly as we were outfought, outthought and totally outplayed and Spurs thoroughly deserved their victory and I wish them all the best against either Chelsea or Everton. I just hope this latest humiliation won't have the same negative impact on the team like last year when we were bundled out of the Champions League, The F.A Cup and The Curling Cup within 11 days... Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

Salam Aleikum W.W it looks like Spurs will finally break their 9 year duck and beat us tonight as they're 2-0 up and 3-1 agg. There's still Adebayor and 45 minutes to come but surely even him can't get us back into the game...we shall wait and see and I'll be back later Insha Allah. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

Salam Aleikum W.W ...with a better finisher than their #10 Ismail Bangura...Guinea could've beaten Ghana but in the end Muntari special decided the out come of the game...I don't think Ghana can win the cup and I'm not judging them only on this game but I don't think they're good enough, however against Guinea they were unlucky not to win the match with bigger margin and they were under intense pressure from their public especially now that they're playing at home. they say the best time to play against the host nations is the first game and it was clear that Ghana seemed completely different from the side that played at the world cup maybe the pressure from their adoring fans and the heat got to them little bit...Pascal Feinduno is a class act and he deserves better team than Guniea...Ghana's striker plays for Nottingham Forest and you think he will win matches for you against the likes of Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Cameroon? Ivory Coast were lucky to beat Nigeria but what a goal to win such a big match...Kalou has been disappointing until that moment and I thought the Ivorian coach should've subbed Drogba long time ago as it was clear that he wasn't at his best as he was no where near as inspirational as he normally is...I'm a fan of Bakari Kone...simply because I watch him week in and week out in the French league and I'm impressed by his speed and ability to evade tackles and it wont be long before we see him in the premier League...remember THE GOAL he scored against Holland at the last world cup in Germany? Taye Taiwo...the Roberto Carlos of Africa...he arguably has the fiercest and the most powerful shot in world football and he was desperately unlucky not to score against Ivory Coast...over all I was disappointed with Nigeria as I expected more from them especially when they went 1-0 down and I felt their hopes went with Kanu as he seemed to tame Yaya Toure and Didier Zokora with his deft touches and accurate passes and once he was stretched off Yaya and Zokora started to come forward at will as they knew Mikel was no match for them or anybody else in Green. Mali beat Benin but JUST...I am one of those who expected Benin to be thrashed but they proved me wrong and credit to them for giving the much fancied Mali a run for their money and they were unlucky to concede the penalty. And finally about the referees...so far so good but CAF should instruct the refs to slow down with the yellow cards because it seems every time they blow a whistle out comes the yellow and the game between Nigeria and Ivory Coast was a good game played in a good spirit yet each team received 3 or 4 yellow cards (I think) with soft fouls and last but not least...last night just before the Mali Vs Benin match kicked off there was power failure for about 25-30 minutes but apart from that minor technical problem the tournament is great (in African standard). Come on Pharaohs...show these Cubs (they're not Indomitable Lions anymore) why you're THE UNDISPUTED KINGS OF AFRICAN FOOTBALL. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

Salam Aleikum W.W No my brother we don't have NBA TV but we do have ESPN which shows two games LIVE every week (Wednesday & Friday) and some times there are double-headers...but I don't watch it as the time difference makes it impossible for me to watch but I watch repeats later in the day if it's possible. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

Which section and Posts do you like read most or pertake?
BOB replied to Yaabka-Yaabkiis's topic in General
Salam Aleikum W.W There are only four sections that you will see me in and those are. General. Islam (I thoroughly agree that its very educational). Poetry. Sports. The rest of the lot are my least favourites and I wouldn't even notice it if they'd never see the light of the day ever again. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity. -
Salam Aleikum W.W My brother I'm afraid there hasn't been any visible changes that is worth mentioning, as usual the police always make an empty promise which they never keep marka the situation is still as gloomy as it was few years ago. like I said most of these brothers are new arrivals and I have met brothers who spent couple of nights in Johannesburg and then whisked away to tuulo where they don't understand the language, the culture etc and in Africa learning these sort of things make a big difference and it enhances your chance of being accepted by the community. few Fridays ago the Imam of the Somali mosque was talking about these things..for example there are brothers who never see a daylight...meaning they are in that shop 24/7... they're not even afforded the opportunity to pray Juma or Eid because the 'Boss' doesn't allow his business to be closed but you'll see him at the mosque and you wonder if his Salaat is even accepted1 but it's easy for me to sit here and criticize when I don't know what makes the brothers accept to work in such condition because I don't think I would've ever accepted such rubbish from anyone but on the other hand there are some good for nothing guys who prey on these disillusioned brothers and take advantage of them and what do they do? they turn them into drug dealers with a promise of tons of quick money and sadly most of the time these brothers find the lure of the 'easy life' hard to turn down and they end up becoming another lost somali soul. I'm sorry I know this isn't the kind of comment that you were looking forward to reading but Walaal the situation is the same wherever we are...we are losing so many young Somali brothers and our so-called elders are busy sitting on their bum discussing about how to destroy what little is left of the beloved Motherland. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

The Toon Army or should I say The Magpies or you would prefer the Geordie Nation...lol Newcastle is one of those teams that I've always had a soft spot for and it breaks my heart to see them being thrashed like Man Utd did and who can forget when they beat Man Utd 5-0? I always enjoyed watching them especially when they had the likes of Sparilla and Ginola and we shouldn't forget that it was Keegan who brought them to the Tyneside and I'm one of those guys who really believe that he can revive the fortunes of this great and massive club and if what we hear concerning with the backing of the billionaire owner is true then Newcastle will once again be as dominant as they once were and as a football fan I'm always keen to see a team who play football the way it should be played and in Keegan they got the right man. Houlier killed the soul of Liverpool football club and he was a very negative manager...I remember once when they went to play Barca in Nou Camp and they defended the whole 90 minutes and after that they were labelled as the enemy of football and I honestly believe Liverpool is bigger and far better than that especially when you're used to watching the SPICE BOYS led by the great John Barnes...the most gifted genuine number 10 England ever produced or Jamaica will ever produce. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

Salam Aleikum W.W I personally know the guy who shot the kid and it's pity his ********* robbed many others off their livelihood and their only source of income... About the Somali murders...it's more complicated than you think and I know it may sound rude but I truly and honestly believe most of these cases could've be avoided had the brothers learned the local language before they go and open a business in semi-desert towns. I met some brothers oo aan garaneyn one word of English let alone the local languages and you wonder how could such person manage to run a business if he or she can't communicate with the customers? The Somali Community leaders are trying to get this message across through the mosques because believe me in South Africa knowing the local language of the community you're dealing with will come in handy when you least expect it and it got me and my friends out of sticky situations more than once and I always advice the new arrivals to learn the language because 99% of the brothers that are murdered happen to be new to this country and you can't help but feel sad for them and I lost my temper more than once with the guys who employ them because it's an open secret that these poor brothers are exploited by their so-called ilmo adeero. Let me stop before I lose my cool for no reason and May Allah s.w protect all the muslims wherever they are Insha Allah. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.

Salam Aleikum W.W My Dear sister I know that but the thing is...the right wing white racists still call Zimbabwe...Rhodesia and few months back there was a very nice documentary on S.A tv about these so-called "Mercenaries" whose ultimate ambition is to see Africa ruled and run by whites and they constantly refer Zimbabwe as Rhodesia so the reason why I chose to call that mercenary who bombed Hargeisa & Burco is simply because he belonged to that right wing white supremacist group and in that documentary one of them brags to the journalist that they will overthrow the Central African Republic and they were being paid some millions and after that they will topple down Robert Mugabe's government... After that documentary the South African government reacted immediately since most of them lived in South Africa after they ran away from Robert Mugabe and the government came down on them hard by sentencing most of them to a long term jail... So in S.A when people say so and so is from Rhodesia…know they mean this buffoon is a bloody racist and stay away from him same like when they tell you this dude is a boer...
