Imaginary Poet: He finger taps in the comfort of a crook embodying the image of poetry's baby girl swallowed by shrinking halls with concrete walls a caged butterfly waits for change patiently jaded to fill the passing moments his soft voice pokes at the dusty notes of an old song mumbles at an unsure verse and plays lightly with a tune that is half faded remembering the memories woven in his song he strains as the melody goes wrong and falters, lost with the sentiment is the sad beauty in longing for a forgotten lyric colours fall from his wings as they stop beating and rest to gather the long lost diary every shadow tucked in yesterday's dark owns its own tale by and by as morn unfolds and they grow old untold had the art of poetry been written they would teach and we could learn to prevail and unlike what we've come to know only few would fall and go cold in their youth so make due with what's left while the dawn looms the lessons fade with the dew and rest assured you'll be on your own again at noon. I remember a neighbour back in Utange who used to play this song almost every minute and without sounding too casual this topic somewhat reminds me of that song and though I don't know who sang it or beyond the catchy line I still can't help but imagine the composer might have found himself in a familiar situation where a fresh and still blooming young pretty rose patiently awaits the affection of an aging warhorse and isn't it a heartbreaking when all the said oldie wants to do is climb on top of his African hut and scream on top of his voice ‘Waan Gaboobee Gacal Maan Ka Gaaraa?’ and somewhat hope that she hears him and then decide at right there and then not to waste her precious time waiting on this dinosaur and rather move on and seek an upstart flower that's still to do some blooming of his own. I think I can honestly say that I understand what it means to lose some one that you loved wholeheartedly however I can never understand why one would need to mutilate him/herself... Sometimes I’m convinced that I’m genetically programmed to live ONLY in countries with warmer climates...I can’t stand the cold weather not because I don’t like it but because I can't cope...
