  1. Norf Bro everyone is entitled to their opinions. My stance is very simple. I dont agree with the Ethiopian occupation of Somalia. However, how we get rid of them is the problem. I dont agree with al-shabaab or their tactics. So I denounce them when they kill innocent people anywhere in somalia and I dont dress it up as resistance. About the current administration, they are what the Somali representatives elected and I support them as the Somali government. This does not mean I agree with all their actions. Because of my support you assume I am the presidents kinsmen. So much for your open mindedness. As for Stratford...we have West Ham Park..grass/gravel or astro...any surface the tackles fly in every weekend.
  2. Mr Oneliner whats with the cuqdad you dont even know me and you sayin you know my tribe. Mate come to our pitch in Stratford and you will see who is scared to tackle.
  3. what ever you wish mate. You try your best to be well meaning and impartial...but remain little confused. Its one thing to support an idea/principle and another to support a group like al-shabaab. If you ask most well meaning Somalis I am sure they agree with the principle, however, majority disagree with the methods. So, for you to cheer them when they bomb/kill innocent civilians in southern Somalia and call it resistance and defame them when they kill innocent civilians in Hargeysa, smacks of little hypocrisy. whether you label me with X or Y is not important but most SOLers in London know my views.

  11. Bus drivers earn more than nurses even specialist nurses. qayli ama ha qaylin...hooyo weligeed hooyo bey ahaaneysaa. and is not just Somali women who decide to give their careers..below is an extract from an article I was reading. ----- There are many more women than men in higher education - over a million, in contrast with 785,000 men. Sixty three per cent of undergraduates at British medical schools are female, as are 60 per cent of law students. On business courses, 55 per cent of students are women. After graduation, they are recruited by top firms in all fields. Then they stop. Despite all those women qualifying from medical school, only 20 per cent of hospital consultants are female. Although they outnumber male law graduates by 10 per cent, only 37 per cent of solicitors are women and just 24 per cent of those are partners in the firms where they work. In the top 10 law firms, the number of female partners is only 15 per cent. Among the FT Top 100 companies, 22 now have more than one woman on their boards, yet 32 have no women at all. There is still just one woman chief executive, Pearson's Marjorie Scardino, and one female chairman, Baroness Hogg at 3i. -----

  21. Red hot chili pepper and hemorrhoids: the explosion of a myth: results of a prospective, randomized, placebo-controlled, crossover trial.Altomare DF, Rinaldi M, La Torre F, Scardigno D, Roveran A, Canuti S, Morea G, Spazzafumo L. Department of Emergency and Organ Transplantation, General Surgery and Liver Transplantation Units, University of Bari, Bari, Italy. altomare@clichiru.uniba.it PURPOSE: Spicy foods are appreciated by a large part of the world population but have been blamed for causing hemorrhoids or exacerbating their symptoms, although no epidemiologic studies have been performed supporting this hypothesis. In this double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, crossover trial, we have studied the effects of a single dose of red hot chili pepper on the hemorrhoidal symptoms. METHODS: Fifty patients with second-degree and third-degree symptomatic hemorrhoids were randomly assigned to take a capsule containing red hot chili powder or placebo during lunch, scoring five hemorrhoidal symptoms (bleeding, swelling, pain, itching, and burning) on a visual analog scale. After one week, crossover treatment was administered according to the same methodology. Other treatments and foods potentially related with anorectal symptoms were discontinued during the study periods. RESULTS: Patients assigned low scores to their hemorrhoidal symptoms before the study and the scores remained unchanged during the 48 hours after both placebo and chili pepper treatment, the latter showing no statistically significant effects. CONCLUSIONS: There is no scientific evidence that a spicy meal based on red hot chili pepper may worsen hemorrhoidal symptoms and, therefore, there is no reason to prevent these patients from occasionally enjoying a spicy dish if they so wish.
