  1. I dont think we are a burden at the moment..but the way its going we are very soon gonna be a burden. Here in the UK majority of Somalis and i mean majority are on welfare..the male is seperated form his wife and kids..so that they can claim cayr. The youth so much of them sign is crazy...but i dont blame them.. U see they grew up in house where no one worked and it was very normal to claim cayr..so they look for a job for 2 days cant find one then they claim cayr..then it becomes a vicious cycle. Ilaahay haduu lixda lixaad ku sii yay..u should use..cos claiming ceyr might be xaraam. What do you guys think about the 2 main excuses why our people claim cayr.. 1) private housing is too expensive.. and the wife cannot work..one income is not enough 2)we have to support ppl bac at hoem..i see so many ppl claiming cayr and they building villas back home.
  2. Darman iam feeling you man..i seen some members “in the real life” have social phobia and tend to be sensitive to criticism and rejection, but in SOL they are … those nomads evidently are popular and perhaps the most social nomads in the forums...
  3. stpaulchick London is good place to visit...if u comin in summer u gonna have lots of fun...just with thte Somalis..if u r into entertainment u get plenty of it, if u into sport plenty, if you into boys/girls plenty......and ofcourse its the ultamate city for chewing qaad...what more could u ask for. When u come Just let the UK nomads now of u r arraival...and u gonna he a smasjing time mate. Entrepreneur Iam not here to defend London, cos I is a refugee arse..and when i was back in Africa i would have went to any EU/North American city the plane would taken me to....but since i have been here its the best city for Somalis to be in outside of Somalia...man u get advatages in educatation, employment, cereer advancement and all kinda stuf...so London kicks arse.
  4. some random stuff here..... Mine is..when some1 phones u r house and they ask you ' majoogaa hebel' and they not there you say 'majoogo' and then they reply with 'waamaqanyahay miyaa' duhh..they so clever u just told they r our..iam thinking these guys could make it as detectives... Anyway it always happens..check it next time some1 phones.
  5. salaams Ameenah I like the way you put things... and the +ve spin. walaalo u know and i know whats going on in London..and that there as many decent brothers as sisters. The way u sayin is like all the guys in london are gone. Anyway.. i dont know why people find it hard to beleive the state we are in. If you come to a new society yo will get influenced both bad and good and you will have products of that society. There is one exception..if oyu hold values and beliefs that keep you away from their badness. So we need to hald fast to our religion in order to survive this mad world.
  6. Puntland state of somalia, is part of Somalia and is always gonna be part of Somalia. In a fedral system which is currently beibg talked about in Kenya gives puntland the freedom of a state with in a country. so if u go and visit any city or villege in putnald the Somali national flag is flying high, na d it should stay high in the near future. As those who arguining about borders and Sool & Sanaag...let teh decide without coercion and force. They will wanna remain part of fedral somalia and not a seperate country..like in Somaliland.
  7. Somalia is da best....then Stratford, East London
  8. I think its an excellent project with s huge potential, for the region and the rest of somalia...and it should be us who help it along at its infancy. I think it will attract a cross section of the community as its open to everyone, but even more so it will attract educationalist from abroad. I will most certainly survive, the hardest years of any situation is the begining, and the opening gas thus far being a success, with regional government help on the way..i see it surviving. The implication for somalia are great, imagine youngestres when the finish high school they have no where to go...this would open the gates for them. Keep the ides flowing
  9. salaam Muraad its very good and lets act on it and see how far we can go...Mohamed was very much intersted in these projects and was very much involved fundraising for university of East Afrika.
  10. To start with my loyaltiy is with my family, islama, my region and then to Somalia....I cant do Somalia any good if i my self is not good, if my familty is not good, if my religion is not good and if my region is not good............if only i attend to these..then Somalia will be better off. U know here in the UK regions are very important..i.e people from Yorkshire act as one and so on... So theory is if u wanna do good for Somalia, do good for u r self, family and region..and the rest will just come naturally. I hope i made some sense
  11. funny ma...a labeebshe kid..how many of u knew that word?
  12. LOL...thast funny..i guess if u see the gasmen run..u better too
  13. this shit is funny man...especially if u from the UK...cos we understand the language.
  14. Bro LST..the idea is very good..but the way is currently done is very bad both for the child that is being sent back and the kids in Somalia. I spent 3 months working is Somalia and i used to see these so Called dhaqan celis..they hang out in groups of other dhaqan celis, dont mix with the society that already there, since they have money they sleep all day, eat Qaat all night and try to sleep with any girl over the age of 15 they see. In Somalia they are know as DHAQAN BIIS..i.e culture destroyers. On the other hand if it was done correctly, bording school with all the facilities the kids need, and organised trips to Badiye, it would be more benifical. Maybe we can help one day.
  15. Its good to see the leaders of the region solve their problems like grown ups...cos the people of the region are all hardworking and never had problems with each other. Its time now to move and start the reconstructing the schools , hospitals and universities.....they already are at a good standard...lets hope it just gets better.
