tuujiye muxu oran jiray, wareer badana qoladan cusub. Dervish could mean one of three things: A sufi disciple, A member of the Sayids movement or a type of officer. In the sense of puntland I would think it denotes something like a state trooper. As far as Somalia's (the guy who calls himself somalia) this nonsense about Khaatumo state, a quick FYI, Kastumo is wanlawayn speak or the Xaji would say konfurian, if your going to mock northerners, at least come up with something in normal af somali lol

The name darwiish ama dervish is simply a sufi term meaning a disciple or follower of a Sufi order. Whatever its origins, Sufism spread Islam from the Caucasoid mountains to Timbaktu. There are Sufi orders everywhere, the whirling dervish you are speaking of are specific to the Mavlavi order in turkey, an order that was founded by the world's best selling poet even today Jalaludin Rumi who was a persian poet, theologian, and jurist among other things. This form of dhikr of whirling is a complex ceremony, is called Sema and is particular to the mavlavi or mevlevi order of Konya Turkey. and on a side note, its is only today that you see the separation of what was an intrinsic part of Islam, Sufism, into something different thanks to the modern movements of salafism and like minded movements.

lol@saalax calling others ill informed when the only thing you have demonstrated is that you are the one who is an informed. why pretend to be a simpleton, honestly we know or we hope you know better. One, the Siyad and his followers (darwiish or disciple) were Sufis. When people speak today of darwiish, they are referring to a historical movement whose capital was the city of Taleex. Today, the capital of Khaatumo is Taleex, case closed. nothing to argue, every Somali knows who the darwiish were. good grief

Ethiopian explaining somalis to white guy:D
Naxar Nugaaleed replied to burahadeer's topic in Politics
"Is this part of the larger paradigm in which the various racial/cultural/religious aliens among us, regardless of their specific background, are independently picking up on white America's growing weakness, are aware of their own strength, a strength powerfully augmented by the symbolic significance of Obama's election, and are simply putting that consciousness of nonwhite racial ascendancy into action?" -

The treatment of the press in every corner in Somalia, even the ones that pay lip service to democratic freedoms, Is truly appalling. What we should focus is on that rather then ps where people feel the need to defend despicable creatures such as Ina foorale. Somalia asked what does he have to gain by doing this, not really sure but what do they gain by hundreds of journalist who have been arrested?
