''Ethnic somalilanders'' claiming Jubbaland
Naxar Nugaaleed replied to Cambuulo iyo bun's topic in Politics
Carafaat;968057 wrote: Cambuulo, ethnic Somalilanders were in Kismaayo even before many HAGs and Puntlanders settled there. There was even a certain neighborhood where they formed the majority, but most of them have fled the city during the civil war. This particular sub-clan live however still live in Lower, Middle Jubba and even Gedo and are called Macalin'weyne . They mostly live in rural parts and form a great number. They settled there nearly 200 years ago. I really don't understand why folks as Xaaji Xunjuf hide this kind of history??!! I was to young to remember where but my family stayed in a "ethnic Somalilander" house during our brief stay in Kismaayo. Sad thing is, our neighbors were "Ethnic Somalilanders" and we had to protect them and bring them supplies because they could not leave their house. The Same was done for in our last days in mogadishu by our Unuka neighbors. Our neighbor could hardly get any sleep because people jumping over our walls all times of the day. we need go back to the drawing board people. -
I have never seen or heard of Yemeni wearing anything like a dirac, I was under the impression they wore traditional Bedouin dress. closest thing is the Indian Sari.

^ and the millions of Egyptions protesting are there because they are Gaal lovers? that mentality is exactly why there is no for religion free civil institutions. As for Ismaciil Ahmed, its an absurdity indeed and unfortunate that grown people lack your intelligence let alone other 12 year olds.

Apophis;966954 wrote: ^ Boiled down, it appears your understanding of democracy to be: the ascent of liberalism and to hell with what actually people vote for. Classic arrogant liberal stance. The average man doesn't know what's good for him, we (liberals) do. Democracy is respecting people's wishes, whether that wish is to have Stalin in charge or Harvey Milk. I choose to respect the ballot box, irrespective of ideology, you, on the other hand, would choose to suppress the peoples' wishes. If Americans can vote for the Republican party, and presumably you have no problems with Americans voting for the said party, then Egyptians should vote for the Muslim Brotherhood. You have presented no reasonably argument to against these points; and indeed you can't, because your position is indefensible. On a serious note, If you have issues with liberals, which I am proudly and don't understand why a black person or any kind of minority would be any thing else, that is a different issue then whats at hand. Further more if your understanding of Democracy is majority decision by ballot, you have a very limited understanding of this subject and should leave alone because it entails way more from the understanding of the democratic world and those protesters in tahrir square. -

Apophis;966937 wrote: You're an irrational hypocrite sxb, like all liberals. If 51.7% of Egyptian people voted for an Islamic party then democratic principles dictate that such a party holds mandate and should rule accordingly. They should govern the country according to their manifesto. If 51.7% of Egyptians voted for a liberal party you wouldn't be here disparaging them and supporting such party to be overthrown. This is why you, and anyone who supports this takeover, is an irrational hypocrite. For once try understand rather then rent. Democracy is more then ballots. as I understand it, it entails the protection peoples rights among other things. The protest that brought Mubarak down were all about this, democracy and freedoms. The Islamic brotherhood was banned from political participation, rightfully so, because they are a religious organization. Someone dropped the ball in the euphoria that was post mubarak period. cala kuli xaal, its not undemocratic to advocate true democracy, one that is done within the parameters of democratic principles. Can a majority elect a fascist like Stalin? is it democratic, sadly no. -

Khadafi ancient Somalis were smart. They used two wards to differentiate between clergy and laymen, to them you were either wadaad or waranle. The wadaad would come, bless the political proceedings or Shir and be on his way. 2013 and all sectarian violence that we see everywhere, and everyone is blind to the simple benefit of secular government to both the state and religion itself, how can you respect a political shaikh lol. -

And it's ironic you accuse me of "violent swings of ideology" when it is you, here, that is arguing for exactly that. The "religion is the root of all evil" mantra/ mind set is getting old sxb. [/img] I have never said religion is the root of evil, frankly, as long people as people use their believes for themselves, they can be the most hard core of whatever they like. As for as violent, one minute advocating atheism and another sharia. but hey that besides the point. Secularism is neither for or against religion. its a common sense, logical idea that civic interaction should be free personal beliefs, not sure what that has to do with atheism. In all honesty good luck with experimentation in trying with your attempt at finding equilibrium of Marxist/stalinist/sharia and whatever other ism you want throw in that pot. -
