ya mujahid, am not beating any war drums. But its quite pointless for some people in this forum to on about this subject, again and again. Che, thats one funny list but sadly true and there may some more. I thing i don't get though, this about tumaal and blah, blah being a clan. I was under the impression that that sort was a profession and not clan. Anyways, i will disagree that ree with leaders don't have a mandate. They do, they just don't carry it out. For example, Cade was elected for two reasons: modernization and to placate the opposition. As for modernization, we all know that cade wanted to do that but it was derailed by a Somaliland attack, draining of both military and monetary resources and lastly cade's incompetence as for as his responis to those disasters. even though he has done a lot for commerce with his plans for the bosaso seaport, airport, live stock facilities and oil and mineral exploration. The next guy needs to focus on stability (including Las Anod) and Social Welfare.

lol, but what if all the candidates are telling their number priority is to pull that trigger.

^ Is not that taleex was bombed, but because the head quarters of a movement that forced the British to fight use their planes for the first time in africa. It speaks to how ferocious that rebellion was. How speak ill about the movement that gave us Somalinimo? seems a little backward if you ask. As for Qardho, it should be compared Towns like Las Qoray, the capital of Sultan Maxmuud Ali Shire and Las Anod, seat of the darwiish Garaads.

these bast... alway complain, even when they are in power. I hope that obama implements a leftist agenda that will make those red necks irrelevant in the political future of this country.

Ya mujahid, i do apologize, i did not know that it was somaliweyn season in your neck of the woods. Ibti, how silly of you. were do you see wanting war? or is demanding what is yours aggression to you? I am of the opinion that those who hold that city and its natives hostage are the ones waging a war, and as far as me seating comfortably some where, i hardly think someone with his own brothers in this place we speak of can be considered a detached observer or anything of the sort. Che, do you really believe a war in that regions depends on who gets elected?

i think i speak for all puntites when i say that we are confident that any serious attempt at restoring Las Anod to its rightful owners will meet with success. to be honest, it does't even require that. its you guys that are a little jittery (JB's obsession with the elders of that region comes to mind).

no, am afraid he will go the way of gacmo gaab but not as gracious at the end.

Puntland Land of Opportunity - Dh170 million agreement
Naxar Nugaaleed replied to Thankful's topic in Politics
roughly 46 million dollars and they will complete the airport in the next 12 months. not bad! Between the oil/miniral deals, the plans for the Airport and Sea port and that place for livestock, this administration has done will for Puntland commerce. Lets hope the next one does as much for social welfare and security. -

Obama vows support for Palestinian oppression!
Naxar Nugaaleed replied to Fabregas's topic in General
we must stop looking at every freaking thing through the prism of pro Palestine or pro Israel. Believe it or not, the US-Israeli relationship is so that it does not matter who becomes president of the United states for the foreseeable future, they will all be Pro Israeli. i hope that those of US who supported Obama, were not under he impression that Obama's win would result in a palestine flag waving guy in the white House. Yet still, Obama's presidency is a break from the former conventions of the middle east. At the very least, we know that Obama is incorrigibly fair minded, in that we should hope that there will be solid move toward a peaceful two state salution. But who are we kidding, Palestinians and Israelis don't want that. I have read that "bibi" Netanyahu will most likely be the next prime miister of Israel= hostility toward a two state salution. But is a two state salution in the interest of the palestinians? I am of the opinion that Israel or its suppurters can not sustain a Palestinian population that is larger then the jews of the jewish state demanding equal treatment similar to the Apartheid, Civil rights movement. -
even Las Anod can not resurrect Cade's ambitions. There is a clear front runner, the other general, who far some unknown reason commands a lot of respect from puntites of every stripe. Maybe we will have another Obama and mcsame rematch in the land of punt?

72hrs till OBAMA 08: Update, latest polls Duke prediction
Naxar Nugaaleed replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Honestly, mccain lost this election before it bigan. I remember once walking from west philly to center city in 1999 to get him to sign a book for me. LOL, the distance is not much but there were not a lot of politicians walk to get them sign anything. After losing to Bush thanks to roves tactics, he become an outsider in his own party, maybe even before that, and the Dems gave him a chance to join them. When he refused was the day he lost. There were scary moments like the revern wright none sense but it seems, Mccain did everything to lose. I was lmao when i heard couple a days ago that the Mccain campaign, in trying to tie Obama to proffessor Khalidi, tied Mccain to both Khalidi and Bill Ayers. The real election is in the races for the senate where the Dems need to gain nine Senate seats to get a filibuster proof majority. Jersey and Minnesota especially. If they Send Republicans to the senate, both states will lose in forming the new Agenda. -

LOL, i doubt hassan was thinking about you when he wrote that. In any case, if he speaks for you, as odd as that is on a public forum, he should just say zack and I... -

I hate the word we. Unless you are some unkown monarch use I. And god help us if the ikhwaans are the moderates in islamic movements in Somalia. -
Peeps, theres is a place called afghanistan where, mutilations, stoning people to death, collapsing walls on people, beating old woman, having children stab others, beheadings and growing drugs to fund it all among many of your favorite activities is not only permissible but fashionable. so people, why impose that on people who don't want that or the "West". Or do all sane people a favor and behead your already!

Islamists stone to death Somali woman for Adultery
Naxar Nugaaleed replied to Jacaylbaro's topic in General
would this be the first stoning in the history of Somali People? -
mr nuraddin is far too ambitious for what experienced. Who ever steps up to the plate will have a lot of cleaning to do. Its a little disheartening to see all these puntlander cheerleading another cade in the making when the real one hasn't done much for puntland. Puntland is a ship in turbulent waters and it needs humble, hardworking, honest, progressive and capable hands to steer it and Nuriaddin is far from such a leader. so are most of the others running and despite my ardent wish for a capable civilian, i cant help but feel the other general is the only one up to the job.
