relax puntites, Puntland is pursuing a win win outcome. Should Somalis decide change their ways and decide we need to return to statehood, we have a fair share of that, should they not Puntland might even prosper by it. Its those poor formers and mafriish landers who have the most to lose if this ship sinks but for some odd reason are the ones trying sink it.

Puntland Will Secede -- if Yussuf Led TFG loses
Naxar Nugaaleed replied to Baashi's topic in Politics
protocol, walaal Puntland and its people sometimes seem the only sane Somalis left in that mad house, secessionist (For unknown reasons) to their West and anarchist to their South. That hopeful and vigilant stewardship of Somali Statehood, even if it fails, should not be seen as a waste. Oodka, brother Ethiopia has and will remain an insignificant factor in Somali affairs, justifiably or not. There exists not a single poltical leader in any part who has not dealt with or sought ethiopian assistance to keep political vultures at bay in their own regions except, of course, few dugsy teachers who all the sudden want to rule the world. Basically, You should not be mad at A yusuf, for succeeding where all others have failed, Manipulation of your interest to coincide with those of your allies is only a tool of statecraft that only he has managed to use. Is it impossible for you to go back to pre TFG era where all political actors in Somalia had access to Ethiopia equally and Puntland was holding its own against the enemies you suggest are at all gates? Conclusion, don't hate the president for accomplishing what all others have failed to do. Two, Puntland has always defended itself from religious fanatics, southern lunatics and over intoxicated north westerners and no amount of change in the south can destabilize it. More importantly, a TFG failure will return Puntland troops and free up the Puntland Tax payers to spend their resource in thair own state. Simply put, while others where playing a zero sum game, Puntland has been creating win win situations. -

Puntland Will Secede -- if Yussuf Led TFG loses
Naxar Nugaaleed replied to Baashi's topic in Politics
Am really of the opinion that we all sink or swim. Yet still, Puntland is an autonomous region, that autonomy gives it the ability to make sure that foolish political movements south of do not effect and also reject any regime not based sound legel bases and equality. Should the TFG fail, President Yusuf and other members, both political and military, should return to their state and call it a day. Perhaps even usurp Somali Sovereignty/state considering their the only sane left on the block. As far as Puntland being surrounded hostile neighbors to its west and south holding some unknown grudges, what utter nonsense! Believe me should anything along those lines happen, Puntland will extend it rule to part of galgaduud and all of Gedo and Jubaland. -
some here personify what is wrong with Somalia: absolute lack of principles, erratic, moody, volatile and unstable behavior. what was good for them yesterday is all the sudden most horrible thing that could have happened to man. All the people who basically presented mr shariif as basically an angel, speak ill of him today. You Juje, sang about this guy and now go on about yey this and nur that. Normally, its healthy for people to be abreast of reality and change their views based on that. Somalis on the other hand will cheer for something and stone it to death not based on reality but whim or even worse. For all the grieve us government supporters get, we have something all you others don't, Principles. How can their be a reconciliation when the totem pole is being moved everyday. One day ur dealing with clan division, another day sectorial division..... The Problem with this, some of you equate the government with a person, a person you may love or hate depending on what side of the bed you get up in or which coffee shop you go to.

Hillary Clinton next Secretary of state?
Naxar Nugaaleed replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
What wrong with Dr. Rice? We have to keep in my the sec of state is just another member of the president team and you can only be as good as your team leader. The policies that u associate with her were Bush policies and am of the opinion that on a different team, she would have been a great sec of state. As for this none sense, its not in the interest of HRC or team Obama. So much for change if Obama stuffs his cabinets fellow congressmen. S.powers is the person needed to make the Obama wants. And Hillary needs to pave her on political path, not be a subordinate to clinton or obama. -
Perhaps, nuur cade has shown us why we needed Geedi and M.dheere. I command the president for doing all he could from going the route of mr. salaat, who fired and hired PMs on a daily bases. Yet that may sadly be the inevitable position of any person in the president's shoes, being surrounded by man who put personal gain above all else.

Maakhirland leader comes to Hargeisa...slap on the face of PLand.
Naxar Nugaaleed replied to RedSea's topic in Politics
balayo, everyday you here new stuff, just as Galkacyo is divided into north-south and Burco is divided east-west so is Ceerigaabo is divided east and west. West ceerigaabo is shared by rer burco both east and west. East Ceerigaabo is shared by the Maakhiris and darwiish. Some say there has been a changed in demographics but the balance is still the same. Today, most of the W ceerigaans are rer west Burco and E ceerigaabo is mostly darwiishlanders and not So much of Maakhiris. Granted, ceerigaaban intermingle more then rer burco and Galkacyo, but none the less, the city is east-west divided. Hopes that helps some confused people. Koora, what are talking about, i was told by some Historians that Ceerigaabo use to be a place for the Maakhiri Garaaads horses? -
Hillary Clinton next Secretary of state?
Naxar Nugaaleed replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
two things. Its not really in the interest of the Hillary brand to take that position, it would be several steps down. She made history when she ran this last primary, there there is no histroy to be made as the sec of state. She will either step aside or Ask Obama not seek a second term in 2012. Even a supreme court appointment would be better but i have read that she has rejected that. And if his about helping Obama, she would be more helpful heading the treasury department, appearntly she has the the confidence of all the joe he plumbers in America. Two, if Obama does appoint her to any position, she know where the "buck stops" because as much as this country is headed that way, its not a third world country. -
Old GOP pol (not McCain) pissed about young Dem upstart (not Obama) Everything that's wrong with America. Well, well. A hearty ironic congratulations and a sarcastic slow clap to Vanessa Sievers, the 20-year-old Dartmouth College junior who ran for treasurer of Grafton County, NH, and won. The defeated three-term Republican incumbent, 68-year-old Carol Elliott, protested that Ms. Sievers won only because "brainwashed college kids" voted Democratic, and referred to the student as a "teenybopper." And rightly so. This uppity youngster is so childish that insults and name-calling are really the only appropriate responses from a 68-year-old woman. Source Who thinks the GOP is headed they way of the British Tories?

what some of you completely fail to understand, perhaps due to ignorence or willful blindness, is that self proclaimed man have very little effect in this part of there world. What matters, and you all seem to in agreement in ignoring it, is the people's will. It matters not who goes to hargeisa or god know where, people have made again and again clear, they want no part of that mafrishland. -

if only this government was given he chance to just focus on development, we would have seen a different Somalia. -
Originally posted by dhulQarnayn: The jaded secessionists claim Sanaag and eastern Bari aswell, but we all know they do not have the cuevos to mess with those provinces. Why? because the locals of Maakhir will not tolerate such nonsense. And Ceerigaabo must be in mars? quote: Puntland is a state that was formed by the people of that current state Yes. But we all know that a great number of Sool natives were corrupted by Riyaale. So until, y'all get your act together, please don't expect us to take sides in a family affair. So The Somaliland Army And Las Anod people are a family? More importantly, who is the "US" your speaking for and we are asking to take sides? I can't argue with an invisible group called "US". quote: Puntland is a state that was formed by the people of that current state Yes. But we all know that a great number of Sool natives were corrupted by Riyaale. So until, y'all get your act together, please don't expect us to take sides in a family affair. Lets just even say Las Anod was to fend for itself, what happens if those crazy ikhwaans take over Bosaso or southerners take northern galkacyo, or these Somalilanders take a portion of Garowe because that is would happen should these colonial borders you are recently fond are implemented. Runta aan isku sheegno. The only weaklings the secessionists are able to force their warped vision on, are the people of las anod. And if ever some 'crazy ikhwaan' were take over Garowe, bosaso or galkacyo--Am sure they aint gonna be from other parts of Somalia, but instead OUR own local crazy ikhwaans... You completely side stepped the question here, we all remember to well when the islamic courts attacked Mudugh and Cade Muuse himself went down there wearing camouflage. should puntland have left those "weaklings", as you call them, to defend themselfs instead of getting all Puntland forces from as far as buhoodle to that front? All in All, GROW UP dhulka, its unseemly for you to go on call an entire people weaklings and things of that sort. What you are suggesting here is a people to people war between people of that region and then against a conventional army, a basic misunderstanding of the purpose of a state. Another basic point you miss is unless ur working with zombies, it almost impossible to get a consensus. For every conflict or issue there will be two sides but we must except the will of the majority, and we all know what that is as far as Las Anod goes.

few things, puntland is a state that was formed by the people of that current state, including the "namby-pambies" or the "daciif" people you speak of. should there be a for those people to go there separate ways, it will be done they it was formed, by consulting each other and coming to that desired conclusion of yours. I must also remind you that the purpose of forming that state, above else, was to provide for a common defense, how silly of you then to suggest that a certain "namby-pumbies" be left to fend for for themselves. Lets just even say Las Anod was to fend for itself, what happens if those crazy ikhwaans take over Bosaso or southerners take northern galkacyo, or these Somalilanders take a portion of Garowe because that is would happen should these colonial borders you are recently fond are implemented. This Offensive and speaks volumes of your ignorance and disdain for puntlanders. Isku xeeshod.
