lol ayoub, that seems to be obama's new people to people diplomacy but seriously, i very much would not enjoy conversions where random racist remarks would be thrown in as jokes with any kinda of beverage, just would not be my cup of tea. Chocolate, I don't have any issues with the western, eastern, Northern and southern hemispheres of the world. I like to think of myself as a modern world citizen, and to such a person, I would think, such outdated ideas of East and West of which we as Somalis are neither one, would mean very little. Just like i told fab, go back to what I wrote. I fail to see how you equate a question about what laws were used to come to a judicial decision to defense of "western things". Sometimes i think we ascribe to much to the "west", even asking questions is branded a western thing. by the way, when someone reports about a legal case and even before a decision is reached, what should a reporter focus on? in my neck of the woods, it laws, statutes and precedents that may ably to the case.

OLF Oromo rebels advancing in Ethiopia!! (photos)
Naxar Nugaaleed replied to Oromali's topic in General
dude, oromo make up fifty percent of the country, that means all Somalis, amharas, tigres, afars and all others Ethiopians combined at best equal the oromo population. you shouldn't be here bragging little rag tag militia eating a camel but you should be aspiring to lead that nation. -

i don't know about islamist but there are a lot of radicals here and the subject of topics here usually involve radicals, that, my intellectually challenged friends, makes my comments relevant. throwing jews and habashas into random ish concerning Somalis, on the other hand, makes your comments clearly bigoted and racist. Bigoted and racist comments v.s. relevant comments that focus on the topic at hand, how do you confuse the two? Furthermore, apparently because moderators here feel its ok for hate mongers here to spew bigoted and racist comments like yours, it falls on moral people here to ridicule your blatant ignorance every time you show it in the hope that you reform, keep to urself rather share your prejudice in public and think more logically.

i think instead of ten people jb, more should be done to teach a broader groups about human rights and the state needs to do more to guarantee human rights.

gaaroodi, your hatred of puntland is noted but let me ask you something, why concern your self with puntland at all? Your own neck of the woods lack quite a lot and could use some advice but what don't understand this thing landers on both sides feel an urgent need to compare every negative and positive developments as if the lives of the millions of peoples who call these regions is mere trivial for you people here to use to score what you falsely assume are political scores.
-
it seems to me that you have a certain issue with Afqudac, his clan and that fact that puntland did not "chooses" your "js people" rather then with puntland itself, so let me clear something up for you: Puntland did not choose but these men were elected. you can't claim somaliweyn when you divided rer las anod into "your js people" and others when we now there was ver little problem between your people and apparently others of the city, that is a very shameful stance that starts division at the tuulo leve. Las Anod is a regional capital that belongs to all soolers, and even though Afquduc and his people inhibit mostly erigabo, xudun and taleex districts, they too have a right to the capital. lastly, LA was lost not because "your js people" people defeated afquduc but because puntland chose to defend Galkacyo from imaginary enemies rather then defend Las anod.

dude, i like all this co-signing but relax. nobody is arguing anything, just trying to find out how these courts work. are these judgements based on laws passed by parliament or the whims of what judges consider legal or illegal? tolow diintana mala lasyla heesta? lakum diinakum waliya diin ya fu-fu.
-
so the courts in Somaliland, their shari'ah courts? what laws do these courts use otherwise and do defendants get a defense lawyer?

THE "DUBAI WOMEN" OF EAST AFRICA AND THEIR INCREASING ROLE IN TRADE by Elinami Veraeli Swai & Maurice N. Amutabi This article focuses on a very important phenomenon in the economic history of East Africa which started in the 1990s and in which women were the major actors. The phenomenon began just after the end of the Cold War and was dominated by jet-set women engaged in import/export trade on their own terms without the usual male support. These women took the market by storm. They sold expensive electronics such as radios, televisions, CD and DVD players; they also sold furniture, bed sheets and blankets, shoes, watches, dresses, and household appliances such as fridges and cookers, iron boxes, and cars from Dubai (the free port of the United Arab Emirates). These women started off small, but by the late 1990s, they were controlling large business empires and living in exclusive neighbourhoods such as Oyster Bay in Dar-Es-Salaam and Lavington in Nairobi. They frequented fashionable shopping stalls, created by women and which became popular from the 1990s among middle class women in Dar-Es-Salaam and Nairobi. "These women took the market by storm... (They) started off small, but by the late 1990s, they were controlling large business empires and living in exclusive neighbourhoods." link to the article for those who want read the whole thing

i find the whole idea that was an ancient somali city named gondereshe ludicrous. Valenteena, again these people made this plans in the 1600s, i doubt they possessed any knowledge of city planning that we don't. Ibti, you can't use your hard money to build a house in the middle of the street.

we can only hope
