Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's scathing attacks against Israel and his repeated denials of the Holocaust could be motivated by a desire to conceal his own Jewish roots, an Iran expert told The Daily Telegraph on Saturday. The British newspaper examined the Iranian leader's identity card, which he displayed in public during his country's elections in March 2008. The ID card bears his family's original surname, Sabourjian, which is a Jewish name that means cloth weaver, according to The Daily Telegraph. Advertisement The Sabourjians have historically been concentrated in the same region of Iran where Ahmadinejad was born, according to the report, which further claimed that Ahmadinejad's identity papers indicate that his family changed its name and converted to Islam after he was born. Iranian observers suggested that the president's constant verbal assault against Israel and Jews may be an attempt to prove his loyalty to Shia Islam while making every effort to hide his Jewish past. "This aspect of Mr. Ahmadinejad's background explains a lot about him," Iranian studies expert Ali Nourizadeh told The Daily Telegraph. "Every family that converts into a different religion takes a new identity by condemning their old faith." "By making anti-Israeli statements he is trying to shed any suspicions about his Jewish connections," Nourizadeh said. "He feels vulnerable in a radical Shia society." from

These winds are taking mighty long time to change anything, those veiled cowards are still running around the bushs. There's talk that France may ban the veil, wonder what the shabab will do if the Somali government does the same

^ why don't take crack at proofing his existence if like he says he has to proof his nonexistence

So going to the Somali community will all the sudden make one religious?

ladies and gents, before go back to the medieval ages with this nonsensical attack and defense of basic scientific facts known to little school children all over the world, leave evolution alone and go back ascertain the existence or non existence of God. How does one know of his existence or nonexistence? Are we programmed to posses such knowledge? Are believers privy to a certain knowledge that none believers do not have access to? And am gonna go on a limb here as say that Atheism (The he does not exist camp)is just as bold a claim as theism (The he does exist camp)and that where to go by logic only, one would arrive at agnosticism (the I don't camp). rudy, religion is not a heritage, you make sound like its a light switch that one chooses to turn on or of but they do say, ignorance is a bliss...
-
if angels tried to help Somalis, they would accuse them of a sinister divine plot to steal some gold hidden beneath that heap of a mess. stop biting the hand that feeds you people. as for the cowards on internet running around with gaal this and gaal that, go jihad on yourselves and leave the affairs of those poor alone.

"i believe in god but not in the islamic sense." God is God, there is no Islamic or other sense. "i believe god belongs to everyone and shouldn't be exclusively ours." Am pretty the islamic view God would agree with you, we all belong to him "i dont think satan exists. i believe he is a concoction of man to prevent people from asking questions." Why is that of any significance you? wither he does or does not? to your faith? "i can't get my mind around an afterlife that promises safety to one group and misery to another." I quick look at what the koran has to say about other will tell you that is not so. # 5:69 (Asad) for, verily, those who have attained to faith [in this divine writ], as well as those who follow the Jewish faith, and the Sabians, [86] and the christians - all who believe in God and the Last Day and do righteous deeds - no fear need they have, and neither shall they grieve. "it does not make sense to be put on earth to pass a test that you never really stood a chance of passing only to be punished for slight misdemeanors. And I’m sick to death of people closing discussions with god knows best because that is not a good enough answer." Can you think of better reason to life a short and for most of humanity a misrableone "How do we know the prophet said these things? Is it not possible people could have fiddled with the quran? Is it not possible that the witnesses could have misheard or misinterpreted what the prophet said?" this is where faith kicks in and often the case that you either have or not but if you don't, think these, nothing will happen to you for not believing when there is no afterlife but you will be punished for not believing if there is on. The better bet is on believing anyways wither there is one or not. "Why can’t we apply the quran to today’s standards? Why would god prevent us from evolving? Does he want us to follow rulings that were created for a different era and apply it to our current situation?" Who told you can't and why listen to these people?
