  1. you don't have be an atheist to find this nonsensical
  2. if this is not a wake call for fellow Dems, I don't know what. Now we have to see which road they take, center right insuring they lose in 2010 or center left, reenergizing their base. their is no doubt that this was do the base not caring enough to vote among other things...

As I think you misunderstand the Garaad: Wither or not SSC or The Garaad himself choose be no longer part the Puntland region, that does not mean all ties are cut. Mr. Cowke, there is no such thing as 14 Garaads and regardless of how many Garaads there are, Garaad Jamac holds the Garaaad title for all of this. Even if this is to challenged, it would mean there two of them, Himself or the other Garaad Salebaan Garaad Mohamed.
  4. wish I had asked these when my mother was alive. But like Aaliyah said, goes for both parents and even grandparents
  5. Dalmar, this is in no one's interest. The Garaad and ghelle's focus should be a peaceful settlement in SSC and Maakhir that is based on the will of the people.
  6. ^ perhaps suldankagu waa loo saxiixey, on the other hand the buck stops with this guy and the papers his father signed where to see the British out. on the other hand, if took back his "kalsooni" from puntland, do you think this entails that he can not use the bosaso airport?
  7. Its a great thing that religion is a cure-all, depression (someone forgot to tell this to the suicidal hijacker on 9/11), heart attack and cancer but isn't also single handedly responsible for the worst conflicts around the globe? We also witnessed what happened because of some drawings in a danish paper. As for as this good citizen thing, I think it only works if the believer believes that God does not want him to kill or steal but we all know that sometimes God wants them to kill (Way too many examples) and steal (Israel)
  8. crazy people, I think kenya is within it rights to arrest and deport foreign extremist. You ask me, they didn't go far enough in punishing these nut jobs

  10. what the hell kinda of question is this? Democracy is needed every where and despite all the none sense , it would be in the interest of the "West" to just make deals with dictators rather then deal with trade partners that are answerable and accountable to their peoples.
  11. ^for whom do you speek when you "welcome" laascaanoders to Somaliland? As to the actual question, laascaanod belongs to laascaanod in my opinion...
  12. Originally posted by Mr. Somalia: Las Anod is in this current predicament, solely because the natives of this city. It is they, that allow their corrupt local politicians to sell their loyalties to the highest bidder. Unfortunately for them, it is their innocent citizens of Las Anod that are unmerited by this disloyalty. Let me get this right, the citizens of laascaanod innocent but also the sole reason for "this predicament". Which one is it, are they innocents or collaborators. apparently it has nothing to with the administration in garowe fighting phantom enemies in Mudugh while laacaanod was the sole focus of the admin in hargeisa? And for you Somalilander, I truly don't understand what these the point of all these lies you keep telling yourselves. This city and its people never wanted to be part of a secessionist administration all the way in hargeisa, especially at gun point. honesty will get you further then these lies you have come to accept as the truth.
  13. The way they defined Rap is is freakin hilarious and should anyone ask me from now on, I will say: "nooca Rap-ka loo yaqaano ee farotaagtaaga ah iyo hadhadalka"
  14. Originally posted by Sherban Shabeel: Puntland propaganda. Piracy will continue no matter how much money you pour into PL's amateur coastguard. The only way to stop piracy is to have a peaceful, independent Somalia where every Somali can enjoy a normal human life. Until that day, pirates will keep doing their thing. What else is there to do? At least they're not killing people. Pirates are Somalia's least concern right now. If your going to accuse anyone accuse the New York times the author, this is a misplaced attack. further more, helping the security apparatus of this state is not about money, much more. lastly, unless you are willing to make the case that situation is beyond resolving, don't discredit attempts to for others to forward fresh new approach, clearly, we can see what the mindset that stationing warships in the Gulf or fighting piracy at sea has done.
  15. ^ Actually, The "Hawd" and whats was called the "reserve area" or "Western reserve" of which jigjiga is part was part of British Somaliland. Cowke, Am under no illusion that the only legit case of the Somaliland secession is the Will of the people and nothing else, no colonial borders or union treaty illegitimacy. Without going to Jijiga, the tribes of sool, buhoodle and ceerigaabo districts where not part of the signatory tribes and Britain had no jurisdiction there. This accusation of historical revision on my part is Somaliwide...
  16. ^ Have to agree with there. One of my favorite contemporary black authors is Diane McKinney-Whetstone, you should check her out.
  17. Will written article, was surprised to stumble upon this in the ny times this morning. Its time for both the TFG and Puntland to advocate for beefing up the police and naval forces of the coastal people rather stationing useless warships in the gulf of Aden.
  18. ^ Defense wise, urban warfare is much more difficult then an open place Some people are also pointing to outside support or ethiopia, ladies and gents, the same can be said about every region of of somalia and the reality is it probably receives much, much less then the rest.
  19. why does SOL allow terrorist sympathizers on this forum? from shabab supporters to people praying here for someone trying to axe a cartoonist? Is it freedom of speech? Isn't Ironic that freedom of speech should used to attack freedom of speech or other freedoms such as life?
  20. There is a natural buffer zone called galgaduud with a few determined and true Sufi darawiish.
  21. how can you have opinions on things which you are not privy to? Someone needs to ask Silaanyo if the intention of the rebels he lead or his intention was the same as those solders in the sixties. Its disheartening how Somalis of every stripe waste precious time and resources to historical revisionism rather then to ascertain the truth.
  22. Atheist: Neanderthals (Theist), fairy tales are for children, 2+2 does not equal five, I can not proof it but there is no God. Agnostic: As much as I know the implausibility of this all powerful deity, it is impossible to ascertain both the existence or nonexistence of a deity. Theist: (God, Dios, Allah, Elohim, Buddha, divas, Shiva,Brahman,Waheguru, the Universe, Jesus,Amlak, waaq, the sun, moon...way too many to list here) exists and if you don't believe that you will spend an eternity in-----. One thing should be cleared up though, most theist think that Agnosticism is a middle ground and that because they are don't know, they put the possibility of Gods existence or nonexistence at 50/50. thats not the case it more likely at 90/10 and that puts them much closer to atheist then theist, it just sounds better at a dinner table full of fanatical believers.
  23. I for one have no idea but am just wondering if anyone here has better understanding as to why galgaduud defeats the shababs every time but other regions continue to struggle to free themselves of these terrorist.
